1. Ciao a tutti! Sto provando ad installare Mac OSX Lion sul mio pc, con la distro iAtkos L2. Partizionato in GUID, partizione in Mac OS esteso journaled, tutto ok. Grazie
2. Hello everyone. I've been trying to install iAtkos L2 on my computer but I can't make it work. Everytime I try to install L2 on my computer the DVD (or USB) won't boot. It always get stuck at this: And then nothing else happens. I used to have Snow Leopard fully functional but now I would like to upgrade to Lion. Do you have any tips to give me on how to go through this? Do I need to set up my BIOS any special way? I've already tried by downloading different ISO files, but I keep having the same issue. My configuration is: Asus P5LD2-SE Intel Core 2 Duo - 2,67Ghz - 533Mhz 3.5 GB DDR2 GeForce 8400 GS - 512 DDR3 750 GB SATA 3 Hope you can help me. Thanks!

The missing element...

After a period of over two months, it appears that I finally managed to come close to getting a functional Hackintosh laptop. A success that I would ascribe to a persevering nature. In order to do so, I had to use a tutorial that I found on the net which requires the use of a 8GB+ flash drive, "iAtkos L2' and "Chimera 1.8." However, after finalizing the making of the bootable flash drive, my computer seems to indicate that something is still missing. As I try to boot up from the prepared USB, the chimera interface shows up. Then, I proceed by selecting the iAtkos image in verbose mode. And once I do so, the apple logo appears for a brief period time (less than a second) and then shows the screen shown in the attached thumbnail. As a result, I'm seeking the assistance of this forum to help me find a solution. Thanks in advance.

ATI Radeon HD 4300/4500 Series

Hey there! First of all, I'm so sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place. I've seen there's a specific place for posting these involving graphic cards and so on, but as my problem is with post-installation, I didn't really know where to post it. I'm sorry too if lot of people have asked for this before or something like this, I promise I've searched a lot in the net and nothing has solved my problem... So here we go... I have an ATI Radeon HD 4300/4500 Series and I just installed iAtkos L2 (Lion v 10.7.2) a few weeks ago. Until then I've been trying and trying to change the resolution by installing the kexts of my card without success. I founded this 'http://www.xhackintosh.com/ati-radeon-hd-4350-snow-leopard-qe-ci.html', written by an insanelymac user, but all links are broken so I couldn't try this method. Then I founded this 'http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=265034'. But got a grey screen when rebooting after installation on my first try and had to install iAtkos L2 again... I've being all this time searching for any kext or something like this that could help me to solve my problem without success. So.. I'd be so glad if somebody could help me or if somebody wants to share some information about it! Please, you all know how horrible is this Low Resolution in Mac! Thank you very much!! PS: The specifications of my Intel Core 2 Quad, btw: CPU--> 2x Intel Pentium III Xeon, 2500 MHz. Graphics--> ATI Radeon HD 4300/4500 Series. Sound--> Realtek High Default. Network--> Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller. System--> Lion v.10.7.2 (installed with iAtkos L2)
5. Sometimes ago I tried to install Snow Leopard (by Hazard) on my PC, and I had it updated to 10.6.2. Something wasn't working fine, but its boot was perfect, no need for boot flags, and, most of all, GRUB2 was able to boot. I explain: my hackintosh partition is a logical one, so Chameleon/Chimera aren't able to get loaded from there. I have Ubuntu on the PC, so I booted a Live CD, chroot'ed into it and ran update-grub and grub-install /dev/sda, at least to be able to boot the other OS's. Unexpectedly, GRUB2 had also recognized Snow Leopard and added an entry for it in the menu, and selecting it the system would boot just fine. And also, the sleep/wake worked like a charm. Now that I have installed iAtkos L2 in the same partition I have GRUB2 recognizing it, but when I try to boot it reboots without a word (that means, no error messages, no lines, it seems to me that grub doesn't reach OS X but it did with Snow Leopard), so I have to boot from the installation DVD, that is a pain. And, if I try to make OS X go to sleep, it shuts down the screen, but doesn't go to sleep: when my PC goes to sleep (or when I put it in standby, on other OS's) the LED in the power button turns yellow, as it did on Snow Leopard, but now it stays blue, and the video card fan gets at full speed (it always does when the video driver is not on, that means, booting and shutting down, on every OS). Once not-sleeping, the mouse has no power (laser is off), and the keyboard powers if I press a key, but nothing else happens. I've thought I could find the kexts involved in going to sleep and downgrading them to the Snow Leopard versions, but I don't know which ones to downgrade. Plus, I have that annoying [PCI configuration begin] if I boot without npci=0x2000, that seems much a workaround to me. Is there a way to fix this problem at its root?
6. I've been trying to boot to Lion for a couple hours now, and get through the installation with #####/##### and all that mess, however, after the installation, I get stuck at "DSMOS" has arrived. I've tried pretty much every bootflag I can think of, and it all ends at the same thing. My specs are as follows, as far as I see them being relevant: Asus U43F Laptop Intel Core i5 Sandy Bridge Intel HD 3000 Graphics Any ideas? I've tried -x -f -v PCIRootUID=0 cpus=1
7. OK, I just built a system with Windows 7 as my primary OS (because I know it and most of my work is 7) and used a separate hard drive and installed OS X (iAtkos L2 because I need to learn OS X). If you use the boot menu or set either drive to boot first both work fine. If you use F8 and choose Win 7 it too boots fine. All I want is for Chameleon to come up with a menu instead of going directly to OS X. Ideally I'd like a slight delay, and then boot to Windows 7 by default if OS X is not selected in that few second delay period. As it is, it just goes to OS X and never shows a menu if you aren't there to his F8 at exactly the right time, or do so before Chameleon with the BIOS option. You'd think this would be ultra easy but I have Googled, searched read and read tons of useless and/or over complicated info, and unfortunately most info is for multiple partitioned single drives, or involving some other arcane stuff I don't understand as a Mac OS X dummy. This is my org.chameleon.Boot.plist (I'm guessing a simple edit there will fix it?) <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple Computer//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>Kernel</key> <string>mach_kernel</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string></string> <key>Boot Graphics</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Quiet Boot</key> <string>No</string> <key>Timeout</key> <string>5</string> <key>npci</key> <string>0x2000</string> <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>EthernetBuiltIn</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>UseKernelCache</key> <string>No</string> </dict> </plist> So this would be great, or if it's for some reason no possible, then I know it can be done with EasyBCD on the Windows 7 side, trouble is, the ONLY info I can find on that is for single hard drive systems. Any help is greatly appreciated!

9. Hey, I'm trying to install Atkos L2 with VirtualBox but running into a problem. I followed this guide: http://dummiesevolution.blogspot.com.au/2012/03/install-iatkos-l2-on-virtualbox-windows.html At first i thought it was not having AMD-v on but it turns out it was already enabled on my MOBO, not to mention i've ran linux distros and stuff fine through it before. I've tried running -v, -s, -x and gets stuck on Starting Darwin x86, then the screen just goes black. The Problem: VirtualBox setup: Specs include: *ASUS M4A89GTD-PRO AM3 890GX *AMD PHENOM II X4 Quad Core 965 Black Edition CPU, 3.40 GHz *Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB 7200RPM *WD Geen 2TB 7200RPM (Media Storage) *G.SKILL 4GB (2GB x 2) PC3 12800 (DDR3-1600) *Antec 750W High Current Gamer Power Supply (SLI/CF/80+ Cert) w/ Antec Three Hundred Case *ATI RADEON HD6850 *WINDOWS 7 PROFESSIONAL 64-BIT Can anyone help?
10. Gentile comunità ho installato iAtkos L2 su questo Notebook: ASUS F502CA -CPU Intel Pentium ULV 987 1.50Ghz DualCore -4GB ram DDR3 -HD sata 500GB (AHCI) -Scheda video Intel HD integrata (credo sia la 4000 o 3000) -Audio Intel HDA -Reti Atheros AR8161(Ethernet) e AR9485(wireless) tuttavia dopo aver finito l'istallazione, al primo Boot compare sempre il seguente messaggio: "DRMStatus: iTunes/Apple Store Content Access Problem. Content playback may be disabled on this computer. You can continue to use the machine, but you should contact an Apple support representative.

12. Hi. I just ditched iAtkos v7 dvd and burned iAtkos L2 one. I try to install Lion from it, but right after boot screen the system freezes. Like I stated in my previous post, my system should be vanilla friendly, so probably I picked wrong options/drivers from iAtkos CUSTOMIZE option. What options I should choose to make my system running?
