2. Hi there, I am trying to install iATKOS L2 on my Acer Aspire 5739G after using S3 pretty successfully. As per usual, I restore the image onto a USB and install the Chameleon Bootloader. I boot into verbose mode and I seen to get stuck after the PCI configurations has ended and FakeSMC successfully initialized. After that however, I get the follow message: Done a quick Google search but it doesn't show up anything useful... Any ideas?
3. Hi. First time posting here (yay welcome me) Okay, So I have decided to emulate iATKOS in virtualbox (by sun) but something is not working for me. Attached will be a photo of whats going on. My PC Specs: Win7 Home Premium 32Bit 1GB Ram 40GB HDD VM Specs: 20GB HDD Around 400-506MB Ram (Varying often) 128MB Graphics with 3D acceleration FreeBSD System. Any help appreciated By the way its iATKOS v7
4. Hi all, I'm having a heck of a time getting anything going on this system, which I believe at this point to be a video card issue. I unfortunately do not have another video card available (at least not one that fits in any of these slots) to troubleshoot with. I was able to install using iATKOS Mountain Lion but after the install, the system just restarts immediately when trying to load the OS. I should add that before I tried iATKOS ML, I tried another 'hackintosh' installer to install Snow Leopard, and that one exhibited the same exact restarting behavior, but before even installing. In both cases it restarts a split second after displaying something along the lines of "Starting Darwin". In searching the forums, I did find this thread, and the problem described is identical to mine: http://www.insanelym...onnvidia-gt240/ Unfortunately the described solutions make no sense to me. "Managed to get the graphics working(booted from CD after install) and used IATKOS tools to install drivers." ...iATKOS tools? I couldn't find anything like that. Also what drivers and how..??? My video card is the GeGFORCE GTS240, not the GT240, but the problem described in the OP is exactly what I'm experiencing. I also found a tutorial thread walkthrough of an install on this very same DELL machine that I have, although it doesn't specifically mention the suspect video card -- not that I could walk through it anyway since the steps seem to require an already working OS X machine, which I don't have. The closest I have come to using OS X is setting up my partitions on Disk Utility during the install options when booted from the iAKTOS cd. I've worked my way through installing a couple Linux distros on Apple hardware in the past, but this is my first time trying to put OS X on PC hardware. It is proving very frustrating so far, though I'm admittedly out of my element with this one.
5. I just installed iATKOS ML2 using standard settings for these specifications, but I have no idea on which to choose. Moreover, some hardware components do not have drivers from the iATKOS installer, so I still need to download them (esp. for Intel HD Graphics). I was wondering which to check when installing, what kexts to install, and how to install them. I already checked a lot of forums and it seems this laptop is quite rare (since it's made in the Philippines), therefore the drivers should be downloaded manually. Here are the specifications: General: Intel Core i3 Processor 370M 2.4GHz, 3MB Smart Cache Genuine Windows 7 Professional 14.0" LED Backlit, 1366*768 (16:9) Mobile Intel Express HM55 More specific: Intel Core i3 Processor 370M 2.4GHz, 3MB Smart Cache 2GB DDR3 (2 x SO-DIMM slot) Support up to 4GB with dual channel Chipset Mobile Intel Express HM55 Intel HD Graphics 160GB 7200 RPM SATA Super Multi DVD-RW Realtek HD Audio LAN Wireless 802.11 B/G/N 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet Display 14.0 LED Backlit, 1366*768 (16:9) Keyboard US Standard Supported I/O Ports Mic-in x1, Headphone-out x1, RJ-45 x1, USB 2.0 x2, DC-in x1, USB & eSATA Combo port x1, HDMI port x1, VGA (15Pin) x1 Card Reader 4-in-1 (SD/XD/MS/MS Pro) Attached is the screenshot of the verbose boot of the OS. P.S. - I found a forum topic where Intel HD Graphics worked. http://www.insanelym...ds-success-108/ I just don't know how to install the kext. Hope someone helps. Thanks a lot! I'll keep researching about this for now.
Hey guys- I know i'm new to this forum, but i got a quick question- I have iATKOS ML2 and am wondering what kexts to install for my laptop. EDIT: I finally got access to a mac again so i burned iATKOS to my usb- i just need to know what to select and i'm golden!
8. I've tried #####, Niresh, another USB image, built a DVD image following directions here on InsanelyMac, but only an iAtkos L2 dvd would successfully boot for me. (Does anyone know why? What's different?) It refused to install at first, probably because I was trying to install it on a partition with a Windows OS and MBR on it. But I was able to install it on a clean USB portable HDD. However, while I succeeded on the first step, I am now stuck on this page, unable to boot. Does anyone have any idea what of the following hints at the problem? 9. Grazie. Mio PC: Scheda madre: Asus M4a89td Pro / USB 3.0 Processore: Phenom II x4 965 BE Memoria: GSkill 4 GB
10. I have just setup a working 10.6.3 with iATKOS S3 on an old machine (Intel 946 GZ, Pentium D, 2 GB Ram, nVidia 210). Now I am trying to install iLife '11 form a img DVD but, after the license agreement and the install option choice, I receive an "unknown error" at the very beginning of the installation process. Since iLife '11 requires 10.6.3 or better, I can't understand why it doesn't work. Any suggestion? Thank you in advance. Regards.

iATKOS L2 on GA-EP35C-DS3R

Hi everyone, I thought I make a discussion topic/guide for the recent iATKOS release installation on a P35 gigabyte board. Since I'm having trouble, maybe someone else does too and together we can figure it out. I hope so. MB: Gigabye GA-EP35C-DS3R CPU: Intel C2Q Q6600 overclocked to 3.0GHz RAM: 2x2GB DDR3 1066/1333 1. Get a release here, download the torrent: http://goo.gl/yzyLg 2. Download it, it will be DMG file, so you need to burn it. I did it with TransMac for windows. (9.1) 3. It did some sort of "uncompress" first to the DMG file, but after completing burning went fine. (1 regular DVD, 4,7GB needed) 4. Boot up DVD <Now come the hard part, edited soon> 5. Install preparations and setup ... 6. Boot up OSX ... All suggesions, and contribution wellcome.

13. I am building a budget media server that I plan to run iATKOS M. Now I shopping around for parts that I need and Im not sure what motherboard I should get that will have the best compatibility. My budget for the board is $120. So let me know what you think.
14. HI friends this is my first post here. I have read many guides about getting osx installed in a PC. But i have a very bizarre issue. My PC ( very old one ) System Manufacturer: HP-Pavilion System Model: GS166AA-ACJ a6230in BIOS: Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG Processor: Intel® Pentium® Dual CPU E2140 @ 1.60GHz (2 CPUs), ~1.6GHz Memory: 2560MB RAM MOBO : asus p5lp-le. The updates i made on my pc were - 1) RAM - increased from 1 GB to 2.5 GB. 2) GPU - Asus ENGTS450/DI/1GDDR5 ( earlier it was onboard intel 945G ) I have earlier installed Snow Leopard, but couldnt figure out Ethernet, audio etc ( some basic ), I used without internet for sometime again went to windows. My problem--- Before upgrading the GPU to ENGTS 450 i was able to do installation with distros and SL org copy. But now i again i wanted to install LIon, so i wanted to check iatkos l2, If installation was a failure- i would have been satisfied but i can't even get to the installation screen, i downloaded iatkos l2 and i changed the bios setting to SATA controller to AHCI , that is the only change i can do with my stupid MOBO. What i am getting is that cd boot init Cd..sectors verifying ( sorry i couldn't even note it down, it goes very fast 2 or 3 seconds ) ......... ......... again pc restarts and the same process is looping over and over, I have tried Niresh lion too , but with same result.......the cd boot thing is looping again and again. I have tried 4 different DVD brands, various Burn speed x2,x4......20-25 DVD's but no use i couldn't get past the looping sequence. . Dont consider me a troll, its just a kind request if anybody could help me ( not to install osx) atleast i could learn what the problem is ?
15. I'm tyring to run iATKOS S3 V2 on VMware Fusion 6(on Mavericks). I tried to set up Fusion with the iso file but when I start the VM, it says "The guest operating system is not MacOS X Server". Then I have downloaded the Fusion Unlocker v1.2.0 but I can't seem to get it to work. I have taken the execution permissions for the files install.sh, uninstall.sh and Unlocker.osx file by running the following commands, sudo chmod +x /Users/tim/Desktop/VMware/unlock-all-v120/osx/install.sh sudo chmod +x /Users/tim/Desktop/VMware/unlock-all-v120/osx/uninstall.sh sudo chmod +x /Users/tim/Desktop/VMware/unlock-all-v120/osx/unlocker.osx Then I tried to run the install.sh script using the command, sudo /Users/tim/Desktop/VMware/unlock-all-v120/osx/install.sh But I get this error message, TimBok:~ tim$ sudo /Users/tim/Desktop/VMware/unlock-all-v120/osx/install.sh Password: VMware Unlocker 1.2.0 =============================== Copyright: Dave Parsons 2011-13 Patching... /Users/tim/Desktop/VMware/unlock-all-v120/osx/install.sh: line 12: ./Unlocker.OSX: No such file or directory TimBok:~ tim$ I need to know what I can do here to get rid os this issue and run the VM.
