  3. Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum and I'm a little lost ... I am looking for a shopping guide (a bit like tonymac which is very good, I come here because of an ethical problem of tonymacs http://goo.gl/WdPxAy). I currently have a machine with the following config: CPU i5-4570 Mb Asus H87M-PLUS RAM 16GB Kingstone HyperX Blue SSD Intel 128GB GPU Gainware Nvidia GTX 650 Ti It works pretty well apart few random crashes ... It was installed with *beast tools... I manually installed and configured clover and I want to make a new machine with a clean and much more advanced installation. I wanted a multibooting to Win10 Pro and Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.3 (in preference but it can be Sierra 10.12 for stability) I started looking at material: CPU i7-7700K Mb Gigabyte Aorus GA-Z270X-GAMING K5 / Gigabyte GA-Z270N-WIFI / Gigabyte GA-B250M-D3H / Gigabyte GA-H270M-DS3H RAM HyperX Fury Noir 16 Go (2x 8Go) DDR4 2133 MHz CL14 SSD Samsung 840 EVO 256GB Sata III GPU Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1050 OC Low Profile 2G What do you think about this ?
  4. Hello, I have done a semi-successful install of macOS Sierra 10.12.6 on my Dell OptiPlex 3010. When I mean semi-successful, I mean I have some issues left, one of them is Networking. Networking, meaning Ethernet, does not seem to work on this machine after installing Mac OS. I've tried installing kext files, reinstalling Sierra, and so on but nothing seems to work, I have an Ethernet cable plugged and it's lights flashing and whatever but the connection does not show up in Sierra. My PC Specs are: Dell OptiPlex 3010 MT Intel Core i3-3240 @ 3.40GHz AMD Radeon HD 7470 4GB of RAM Realtek RTL8111E So, Any Help? -Discount_Mac
  5. Hi colleagues Need your help. Is it possible at all to make fully working hackintosh machine? I tried to make something fast, so I took gigabyte z270n wifi mb with 7700 cpu and apple native wifi/bt and gt1030 video (the only card that fits my case and supports 4k@60Hz) but still cannot make sleep working. Have a lot of issues like sometimes it becomes slow and unresponsive, and sometimes WindowServer crashes and so on. I tried some dsdts that have been made for me here (thank you for your help, guys!) but with no success. I also tried to make a custom patches myself with the same result tried different bios settings, clover settings, kernel parameters, but all of this didn't no help. So, I suppose it's probably some hw issue and my hw is just incompatible. My question is - could somebody share the fully working hardware configuration and does such exists at all? With working sleep and without these annoying crashes, based on some modern fast chipsets like z270/370 and 7/8 series CPU? Maybe even hibernate - is it possible to have a working hibernate with clover/10.13? Or at least sleep? Thank you!
  6. I`m using a haswell CPU on z87 motherboard with a GTX1060.(hd4600 deact.) SMBIOS iMac14,2 Mac-27ADBB7B4CEE8E61 10.13 (17A405) with web driver 378.10.10.10.15.120. My English is not very good, After I read these links I'm still very confused. https://sourceforge.net/p/nvidiagraphicsfixup/svn/HEAD/tree/trunk/FAQ.md https://github.com/vit9696/Shiki/blob/master/Manual/FAQ.en.md https://github.com/vit9696/Shiki/issues/5 Seems like shiki.kext should be use after hardware video decoding works? But in the nvidiagraphicsfixup faq it says:To get hardware video decoding you are likely to need shiki. I try to install lilu.kext and nvidiagraphicsfixup.kext but doesn`t work. when i running ioreg | grep IMEI and ioreg -l | grep platform-id there is no output. What kext do I need?(nvidiagraphicsfixup.kext imac.kext shiki.kext ...) It is necessary to enable the builtin Intel GPU hd4600? I will appreciate for your reply.

    Chinese Air Clone

Hello everyone, I recently bought a really nice "airbook" clone from China. Cost me about $600 from aliexpress. Full metal body, almost exactly the same size as the original. I bought it with a view to possibly hackintoshing it at some point. I have made a hackintosh notebook in the past (about 5-6 years ago) which booted from an ext HDD. From what I remember it was a real pain to set up! Just wondering what you guys think about prospects for setting this up on OS X. Have included specs and some pictures (mine has 128GB SSD and 4GB RAM). Took the bottom off today (curiousity got the better of me) so have included pics of the innards too. Can anyone suggest a relatively painless and simple setup procedure for me? 9. Hi All, I'm currently experimenting with some hardware I have to hand just to broaden my knowledge working with Hackintosh installation etc. This is a pretty ambiguous question but could anybody recommend a set of hardware that would work out of the box for a budget Mountain Lion build but would also work with some of the later OSX versions. This system would not be for gaming or video editing but mainly design work using Illustrator, Photoshop etc. I guess the main components are Motherboard, CPU, Memory and Discrete GFX as I'm assuming these would be most likely problem areas? I've currently considered the following: Gigabyte Z97 DH3 Motherboard Intel i5 4460 nVidia 740GT Crucial Ballistix 8gb (2 x 4gb kit) Samsung 840 EVO 250gb Corsair System Builder CX500 Would the above hardware work with little if no addition kext work arounds etc. One of my biggest stumbling blocks to date has been getting audio working. Thanks in advance!
  10. Hello there! I have been trying to install El Capitan on my system. It is a HP 250 G2 Laptop. I have only been successful in installing on VMware. After creating and installer with tutorials from Eladnava.com I was able to create an installer with Clover. But trying to boot, I keep getting: OsxAptioFixDrv: Starting overrides for \. IABootFiles\boot.efi Using reloc block: no, hibernate wake: no asked for SMC=4D535463 (MSTc) len=1 asked for SMC=4D534163 (MSAc) len=2 ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ And nothing else. I don't know what that means and I am beginning to wonder if my HW is supported. I attached the full Hardware info of the system in .txt and .htm. Please help me with solutions. 11. Hi guys. I've bought BCM94331CSAX with PCIeX1 adapter for this combo being the chipest and for reasons I don't really need fastest WiFi possible. Heck my router is still 54g Anyway I was lucky and card and adaptor seems to came flawless. Since I am using MacPro3,1 SMBIOS I was not getting Handoff and few other OOB and had to apply CAT which enabled everything. Then I've found that BT signal level is really low. BT speaker i have is dropping sound like crazy if put more then two meters from antenna. While researching a bit I have found that middle connector on the card is for BT. Also I've found that turning WiFi on card off is greatly improving RSSI of Bluetooth connection – my BT speaker can be as far as 5-6 meteres after that. Also turning off router (with WiFI in 2.4GHz) do the same — improves RSS of BT. So my question is can you guys with those cards in topic attest to my finding. Or correct them because now I wonder if CD (iMac) versions of the cards are better in regards of simultanious work of BT and WiFi since those cards are actually bigger themselves. Thank you P.S. Screenshots shows how turning WiFI off improves BT connection

    Tutorial suggestion help

Hi, I have waited for the day to get mac working to experience it for the first time in my life, I tried so many tutorial but there was always some point where I end up failing. I think that most of the problems I faced were hardware issues. Anyway , I have an acer aspire 5733 laptop with intel i3 370m cpu , 4 gigs of ram, (check out the link bellow for all the information extracted by cpu-z) Could you please point me to some tutorial that would work for my situation exactly ? I really appreciate your help. I am really desperate now , I sacrificed all my files by formatting the entire hard drive just to mac working , and yet I failed. Note that I do NOT have any access to any real mac and I almost have no experience in using it (That is why I wanted to install it in the first place) , I do have experience with Linux and windows though (If that would help) Thank you very much for helping me link : https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0pjRe9_OK3jWk9fZFl5b1ZKaGM/view?usp=sharing

  17. Hi guys! I have two external sound cards: ESI ugm96 and E-MU 0204. Both of them have troubles in OSX 10.8, 10.9, 10.10. ESI ugm96 somehow amplifies the sound, so that all the pops (not happens in win7x64, win8.1x64). E-MU 0204 sometimes pops. There is no such issue in win7x64. I tested both sound cards on my Zenbook ux32a with OSX 10.9.4 and on my PC with Asus Z97-K motherboard (OSX 10.10). In all cases I haven't expected needed result. Something wrong. I have played with settings as well and this did not help. But I researched a lot and didn't find any solution. So I decided to buy another USB sound card for music production. It is really matter for me because I am suffering with this for a long time (It is just a hobby, but I like to proceed with this). Guys, do you have nice and working fine external USB sound card with your OSX 10.10? If yes, please post here its name. Or if you have any suggestion -- I will be happy to hear it. Thanks a lot for attention.
  18. I have a laptop SSHD that's failing SMART. I know, I know, I should replace it, but I'm fully backed up and wouldn't be using Clover if I wasn't on the cheap... Gonna use this drive till it doesn't spin anymore lol Anyways, I have 2 SATA bays on my laptop after an optical disk delete. I keep the failing drive in the second one, and I notice that if it's plugged in at all Clover will hang indefinitely, not even making it to the GUI. It's very consistent; if the drive in it is NOT going to make it, but once you take it out it goes back to absolutely killing it. I know I shouldn't expect to much, but this drive still performs fantastic in Windows/OS X if used in an external drive bay over USB 3.0. I'm just surprised that it doesn't ever boot, considering this drive still performs solidly externally still. It makes me think that there may be more going on here than Clover just having trouble reading the drive - does Clover do any kind of hardware or SMART test? Could my BIOS be detecting that the drive is failing and blocking access to it? I do plan to replace this drive anyways, but have any of you guys seen anything like this?

    Fonte do G5

  20. Hi, As per the title, I am trying to build my first CustoMac, thanks to a lot of useful information freely accessible on the Internet. As recommended by virtually everyone, I was looking at Tonymacx86's buyer's guide, which is a great help. My question is, can I pick any hardware on the guide and create my own build? The most recent guide (November) contains few builds for CustoMac Mini, CustoMac Mini Deluxe, and so on. I wasn't sure if I could follow CustoMac Mini Deluxe, but choose a different CPU, which of course is still in the CPU list at the bottom (say for example, I choose i5-4670 for my CustoMac Mini Deluxe). Can I do that? My main use will be very general use with occasional music recording using Logic. However my music recording will not be a very heavy job, as it's usually just myself singing and playing an instrument (which I have been doing on my 2013 Macbook Air with i7 dual core). I don't think I'll need an i7 for the job, am I right? Next question is, how free am I in choosing RAM and SSD? I've read from somewhere that choosing a RAM is hassle-free. Also, as long as I avoid Intel's SSD, I heard any SSD is fine. Is my understanding correct? Even so, is there a specific brand that you would recommend based on their performance? I had a quick look and I found that two different 16 gb ram kit had totally different price tags. What should I be looking at when choosing a ram, if compatibility is not an issue? I would have chosen the recommended ram in the CustoMac Mini Deluxe build, but they are not available in Australia (Crucial Ballistix Sport). But we do have Crucial's ram, and I was looking at this http://umart.com.au/umart1/pro/Products-details.phtml?id=10&id2=153&bid=2&sid=162287 , is this okay? What SSD and HDD are good? Lastly, what should be the considerations when choosing Power Supply? A very long article with many questions, since I am a newbie and need your help.. Thank you very much for reading my post. Just to add, I don't think I need a GPU.

    Bluetooth & WiFi n00b

Hi All, New to the forum and hackintoshing. I have built TonyMacX's mini deluxe with the GA-Z87N-WIFI mobo and am running Mavericks/10.9.4. WiFi apparently is a no go and it turns out the bluetooth has serious issues. I had it working at one point, but now it's gone AWOL and from all I have read it doesn't look like anyone has got it going properly. My situation: I don't really *need* WiFi, it would be a nice extra. I need bluetooth only because I have a wireless mouse I rather like (in fact I had to borrow this wired mouse )! Can someone introduce me to this world of WiFi & BT on hackintosh? I found Toleda's guide and read a few other threads. Is there a plug and play option available to me? I want to minimise any additional software fixes to avoid agony when I inevitably update the OS. It seems like the only plug and play for BT is a dongle, such as GMYLE – is that right? I am very fond of the little aerial that came with my mobo and I had hoped to simply replace the card on the mobo, which I think is a mini-PCIe? Are there any options better than the one's Toleda mentions? Probably really obvious stuff, but I'd love some help from someone more experienced. Thanks for reading.
