  1. Ok everyone its old news but the gma4500m and mhd have qe/ci on lion BUT the owner JawhnL5 has not released the kexts so if people needed them they will need to find away to puswade him to release them. (sorry for terrible spelling) Ok so the post they made was removed so here is an archived link of it before it was removed for you to read: http://web.archive.org/web/20130509111407/http://www.osxlatitude.com/qeci-on-intel-gma-4500-mhd/#comments Here is the statment from OSXLatitude about the project going dead and JawhnL5 not wanting to share the kexts: http://forum.osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/2573-announcement-john-jawhnl5-has-left-osxl-along-with-the-research-for-a-gma-4500-qeci-solution/ Just a small possibility it could still work, for those still running gma4500 cards in 2015. I had one till late 2014 and now have moved to hd 3000 + radeon 7470m Good Luck!

    Acer Aspire 5742

Hi all, first of all I present myself in the forum, this is a great place and you have helped me a lot whit my OSx86. I have a Acer Aspire 5742 with Intel ® Core ™ i3-370M Processor (3M Cache, 2.40 GHz) and I'm not sure the graphics chip used, I think it is Intel HD Graphics 3000, but I could not confirm this, I I know that this is the device id 0x0046 Intel (0x8086) 0x0002 revision. I've been time doing tests assuming it's a HD 3000 Graphics, I followed some of the threads of this and other forums but have not got any progress. iATKOS L2 works fine on my laptop, but graphics performance is terrible and I can only use 1024x768 resolution, though, to make it work I have to remove any Intel Graphics kexts. I have been researching and I found that Mac Book Pro 8.x uses the onboard graphics I've also seen this video on YouTube - - and it made my curiosity to overflow! Should not the graphics (assuming they are HD 3000) work with the native Apple kexts? Thank you & bye.

    Intel GMA 950 - 1920x1280

Boa noite! Tudo bem?

Intel HD Core i5 First Gen

It's been a while since I've attempted to hackintosh something. My Dell Mini 10v recently got stolen from my dorm room, so I'm left with my HP laptop with switchable graphics. I've spent many hours reading for solutions and finally figured I'd come here for what will hopefully be a simple answer. My laptop has two graphics cards, an ATI Radeon 5650m, which I understand does not work correctly, and the integrated first-gen Core i5 GMA HD card. My question is this: can I get a fully working (QE/CI/OpenGL) osx86 install with either of these cards or are they just not compatible? If there's a way I'd love to install Mountain Lion on my laptop but if it's a lost cause perhaps I'll start saving for a HoboMac or something. Thanks for reading and for your future replies!

    [FIXED] Intel GMA HD 5700MHD

Hi Guys! This only works with 10.6 SNOW LEOPARD. Leopard unsure, Lion/ML doesn't work. First, follow this guide here. http://www.insanelym...pic=223754&st=0 Once you have the transparent menubar running, you will realise that there are lots of distortions. Fret not! Firstly, enable Screen Sharing. Make sure you allow VNC connections. Set a password for VNC clients. Then, get Chicken of The VNC. It's a VNC client. Get it set up and connected to your own hackintosh. Use the option 'View Only'. Run the client on your the machine with the GMA 5700. That's right - run it on the very same machine. KEEP IT RUNNING. You will realise that there are no more distortions! Now, you can watch Powerpoints and set Screensavers! However... I'm not sure about sleep and how to get Chicken of the VNC running at startup. NOTE: Minimise the VNC client. Use the desktop as normal. I'm not asking you to watch your PC thru a VNC client. You will notice that the display in the client might be distorted.
