  1. Hello! I'd like to ask for some help with the installation of OS X 10.11.6 on a Dell latitude E5430. The problem is, that I can't get to the installation screen. More precisely, when I get there the screen glitches out so I can't even start the installation. After connecting the laptop to an external monitor the install screen appears with a cursor but the screen is still completely unreadable... I'm not an expert but I think the problem is somewhere in the video support... So I've tried several guides and fixes but none of them worked for me. (I managed to get past a missing IOBluetooth panic by using a patched dsdt) With a combination of different config settings, dsdts and kexts I managed to reach the installation screen but only without any input at all... After fixing the input problem the screen was gone again... Do you have any similar experience? Please help if you have any idea for a solution! Thank you in advance, MadFive SPECS: model: Dell latitude E5430 resolution: 1366 x 768 CPU: Intel Core i5 3320M / 2.6 GHz (SandyBridge?) 2. I'm having a strange problem on a new install and I can't seem to find a resolution or similar problem on the forums after much searching. Currently all of my Finder windows & Apple apps are displaying buttons without icons. My menu bar has several icons that I can best describe as "glitched out" they appear randomly pixelated like you applied an extreme grain filter in Photoshop. Here are my system specs: Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5 GHZ Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD5H Z87 LGA 1150 Corsair Vengeance 32GB (4x8GB) DDR3 1600 MHz Crucial M500 960GB SATA 2.5-Inch SSD (x2) EVGA Nvidia GeForce GTX770 2GB GDDR5 256bit LG Electronics 14x Internal BDXL Blu-Ray Burner Rewriter Attached is a screenshot of many examples. I'm assuming this is a graphics card error. I did try installing the Nvidia Web Drivers but nothing seemed to change. If there is anything else I should be trying I would love the suggestions. Thanks.
  3. Hello folks! I'm having some graphics glitches with my GTX 770 on OS X Mavericks 10.9. My boot args are -v GraphicsEnabler=Yes PCIRootUID=1 The glitch seems to happen mostly in graphical transitions. Instead of a smooth transition the graphics blink rapidly during transition animations then return to normal when there is no transition movement. Ive attempted to use pandora's box to patch the video kexts with no avail. Any ideas on how to go about resolving this issue and getting full graphics acceleration in 10.9? Relevant hardware: EVGA GTX 770 2gb (Read as the GK104 in 'About This Mac') Gigabyte z87-HD3 i7 4770k OSX Mavericks 10.9 (issue persists in both DP1 and DP2) Any help is much appreciated! thanks in advance!

    Screen artifacts

This strange thing happens on my hackintosh each time when Adobe Premiere or Apple Motion are working. Also I've found that uTorrent may also cause this s**t. Does anybody have the same problem? Nvidia web driver works just fine 3,19 GHz Intel Core i5 16 Gb RAM NVIDIA GeForce GT 740 2047 Mb artifacts_on_desktop.tiff
  5. Hey guys, I've installed Kalyway 10.5.2, everything works fine without any patches and whatever, but one thing kills me here. Mouse cursor always leave some strange kind of texture or how to call it, don't know, if something is happening below it (progress bar for example), or when I move windows... Using Radeon X1300 GPU, what could help me to fix this glitch?

    Ghost icons and hangs

Hello there, I got my system perfectly working with el capitan, but with sierra I can't get graphics to work properly. No matter if using integrated hd 530 or using my Nvidia gt 710, even if no graphics drivers in use (vesa), there is graphics glitch. The images ilustrating this can be found inside an older post of mine: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/319158-nvidia-gt-710-working-but-funny/ Thanks in advance.
  7. Okay, so I have a triple boot system and I'm having a range of problems with clover first off 1) it's not even showing up! the PC boots automatically into Windows, and when I select one of the TWO(?) "Mac OS X"s from my motherboard's boot picker it just boots me into Windows as well. I tried a fix to change bootmgfw.efi in EFI/Microsoft to cloverx64.efi but this just kept windows from booting and only allowed me to boot up Mac. 2) there are several options for Windows, like four. how do I hide the options I don't need? I can't seem to be able to do it from Clover Configurator so can someone please help? 3) Arch Linux is not showing up at all under Clover. Note to you guys: I'd really like to NOT have to setup Arch all over again. Any help would be so appreciated! My main complaint about these forums is that it seems I can hardly ever get a reply.. so break the cycle! Thank you. P.S. If nobody knows a fix, I feel like maybe uninstalling Clover first and then trying a fresh reinstall might work. Anyone know how to do this without breaking my system? :~D

(there was a similar situation I had where the screen was all garbled up unless in closed and opened my laptop, I fixed that with a intelgraphicsfix kext I think.. maybe there is a similar fix?)
  9. Hi guys, I'm a newbie here.. I've got a problem about installing Mac OS X 10.5.x ( and even the 10.6.x ) onto my nearly 6 years old laptop Acer extensa 5620. Every time I install it ( no matter what version: iPC, iAtkos, iDeneb, 10.5.5, 10.5.7 .........etc ), after a while of "booting", some weird glitch appears . Sound is working fine.. My specs: Acer Extensa 5620 intel Core 2 Duo T5550 (1,83Ghz) ATi Radeon HD 2400 XT 2GB RAM I haven't tried the Mac OS X Lion yet. ( Is that even worth trying..? ) [image uploaded] (Excuse my bad English plz. I'm from Czech.Rep.)

Xeon E5450 with Nvidia GPU glitch

Hi guys, I have a weird problem using an Xeon E5450(775 modded) with nvidia card(8600gt & Quadro 580 FX same problem). First I want to say that in windows I don't have any problem, so it's not something about compatibility. When I try to boot in macOS with this cpu and nvidia video card I get only a glitch displayed(see attachments), the computer isn't froze, I can access it with ssh or file sharing, only no image. If I boot with nv_disable=1 flag I get image(no acceleration of course) and everything's fine. I tried the cpu on 2 different boards and 2 different nvidia cards and the problem is the same. With amd video card I don't have this problem. What I tried and failed: Deleting injection from dsdt and injecting or not injecting with clover. Using nvidia web drivers. Changing CPU settings from bios, like virtualisation, speedstep etc. Different macos versions(10.11, 10.12, 10.13) The hack I want to use with this CPU is the Desktop from signature, I can provide dsdt or entire efi if it's needed but I don't think it matters since I have the same problem with 2 different boards and 2 different nvidia cards.

    iAtkos M Problem with Chameleon

I'm a little bit in stuck with the Chameleon Bootloader on iAtkos M. I wrote the .dmg file on my USB 2.0 8GB stick with Transmac. First i couldnt't start the Installer (Security settings didn't allow it), but then i changed the the BIOS mode from UEFI to Legacy. Then I had to select the Bootloader I selected the Chameleon Bootloader because the other one didn't work (it stucks at the black screen). When I have to press any button or F8 the Bootloader Stucks and nothing happens. Have a good day Please answer Best regards arminius850
  12. Basically, I made a perfect build and installation, everything was fine and dandy. Until when I tried to boot, I noticed this for a split second before the apple spinning wheel: http://gyazo.com/84a...8d37655c24a.png After the OS loaded, a black screen appeared, and then, this glitch happened: http://gyazo.com/936...f7007c0e37a.png I am pretty much screwed. I spent 3 hours installing everything I needed for my business and this happened. I need to get it up and working again before thursday. Any idea what it could be? Thank you so much in advance. Intel HD 3000 Artifafcts

Hello, and thank you for reading my post! I have a really frustrating issue which ruins my hackintosh experience: graphic artifacts. I have had this issue since I did the clean vanilla install of OS X 10.9 on my Asus laptop (specs at bottom). Sometimes it doesn't appear at all and you may think its gone but no - shortly after all of the screen is covered with white, green and purple squares and stripes. Theres also some actions that are more likely to bring artifacts, like playing YouTube-videos in Safari/Chrome, opening files with preview app, switching to fullscreen (some apps) and opening many tabs in Safari (over 10). And also when I don't touch the computer in a while and then begin to use, it freezes for 2-3 seconds and goes back to normal, why is that? I hope that you can help me with this issue, its quite frustrating. Heres an image of what it usually lookes like My boot loader is Clover v2444 with this config Asus X54C-SX099V: 2,2 GHz Intel Core i3 (Sandy Bridge) Intel HD Graphics 3000 6 GB DDR RAM Thank you, Hackintosher1

    HiDPI looks terrible

Hi guys! I've successfully enabled higher than native resolutions and HiDPI ones in my 1st laptop in signature. Problem is that any resolution I choose with HIDPI looks like a bad Windows XP distro hahaha The font smoothing goes terribly wrong, but only in screen, on the screenshots it looks perfeect. My native res is 1366x768, but for my workflow i have enabled 1920x1080 , 1600x900 and 1440x810 Only the native ones appear in System Preferences, the rest I can access through Retina Display Manager. I dont know why all my resolutions look better without HiDPI, but in the screenshots below you will clearly see, and please do, the difference, when you zoom in, of whats hi dpi or not: Non-HiDPI 1600x900 (Looks pretty good, but not nearly as sharp as the native one) Hi-DPI 1600x900 (in screenshot looks great, in reality it's unbearable) What could be wrong with my settings? This is my display override: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>DisplayProductID</key> <integer>5547</integer> <key>DisplayProductName</key> <string>HackBook Pro Retina</string> <key>DisplayVendorID</key> <integer>3502</integer> <key>scale-resolutions</key> <array> <data>AAAFoAAAAyoAAAABACAAAA==</data> <data>AAAGQAAAA4QAAAABACAAAA==</data> <data>AAALQAAABlQAAAABACAAAA==</data> <data>AAAMgAAABwgAAAABACAAAA==</data> <data>AAAFVgAAAwAAAAABACAAAA==</data> <data>AAAHgAAABDgAAAABACAAAA==</data> <data>AAAPAAAACHAAAAABACAAAA==</data> </array> </dict> </plist> This is my KextToPatch section in Clover, maybe it has some effect? <key>KextsToPatch</key> <array> <dict> <key>Comment</key> <string>9mb cursor byte</string> <key>Disabled</key> <false/> <key>Find</key> <data> BgAmCgEDAwMAAAACAAAwAQAAYAA= </data> <key>Name</key> <string>AppleIntelFramebufferAzul</string> <key>Replace</key> <data> BgAmCgEDAwMAAAACAAAwAQAAkAA= </data> </dict> <dict> <key>Comment</key> <string>10.11-BCM94352-5GHz-US-FCC-dv</string> <key>Disabled</key> <false/> <key>Find</key> <data> QYP8/3QsSA== </data> <key>Name</key> <string>AirPortBrcm4360</string> <key>Replace</key> <data> ZscGVVPrKw== </data> </dict> <dict> <key>Comment</key> <string>HDMI try 1</string> <key>Disabled</key> <false/> <key>Find</key> <data> AgQJAAAEAACHAAAA </data> <key>Name</key> <string>AppleIntelFramebufferAzul</string> <key>Replace</key> <data> AgQJAAAIAACHAAAA </data> </dict> <dict> <key>Comment</key> <string>Handoff</string> <key>Disabled</key> <false/> <key>Find</key> <data> SIX/dEdIiwc= </data> <key>Name</key> <string>IOBluetoothFamily</string> <key>Replace</key> <data> Qb4PAAAA60Q= </data> </dict> <dict> <key>Comment</key> <string>logo glitch</string> <key>Disabled</key> <false/> <key>Find</key> <data> AQAAdRc= </data> <key>Name</key> <string>IOGraphicsFamily</string> <key>Replace</key> <data> AQAA6xc= </data> </dict> <dict> <key>Comment</key> <string>10.11-BCM94352-Airport-Extreme</string> <key>Disabled</key> <false/> <key>Find</key> <data> axAAAHUN </data> <key>Name</key> <string>AirPortBrcm4360</string> <key>Replace</key> <data> axAAAJCQ </data> </dict> </array> </dict> Can anybody please give me some help? I dont know why it looks so bad when I enable HiDPI mode..It is supposed to look better no? And cleaner and more detailed... It looks like my El Capitan turns to Windows XP letters style when I turn on HIDPI mode... But on the screenshots you can clearly say that HiDPI looks better, when you zoom in any letters...Can you help me? It would be so nice to work in HiDPI ..
