  1. Hello there, I'm been seeing a message on my hackintosh since I've updated to High Sierra, and I thought that it was related to the OS version. The message says the following: This is displayed when I first log in my desktop (directly with the Finder Application), and whatever that uses Finder Services (choosing a file or location, for example), in every application once from it's opened. I have updated my other partition to Mojave, and I have the same problem there. For information, I don't use iCloud Services. So I don't know if it would be a configuration issue or something like that... I use Clover to boot, and the system is on my signature. The message is a little bit annoying. Is anyone also facing this? Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.
  2. Is it possible to deactivate those icon animations in Finder? I already had a look at this list but couldn't find any related entry. Those progress bars seem very buggy to me; sometimes they are just stuck even if the copying has long finished. Also if you move any file per drag & drop above those icons while the progress bar is displayed, some white rectangle is flickering like hell around the file icons you are dragging.
  3. ok running into this issue, I have High Sierra (APFS) installed on a second internal drive and I went to open a file with a program on my Primary drive (hfs+ formatted) and it simply hangs. no further no less. Seems to be intermittent as right now (4 restarts later) it is not acting up. HBP
  4. Hey, So I've got a working 10.5.8 installation on my HP Pavilion DV6500 AMD laptop. It has 4GB DDR2 RAM and an AMD Turion 64 1.9Ghz TL-58 processor, with an FSB of 200 and a ratio of 9.5. Everything is running gorgeously, apart from this ridiculous 'About This Mac' window! Whenever I click on it, finder crashes and re-launches. I've tried several AppleSMBIOS.kext files, the AppleSMBIOS ToH installer, and I can't seem to get it to work at all. I've used iAtkos7 with the 9.5.0 Voodoo kernel. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!
  5. Hi all, Since 10.11.x and a fresh installed system I have the problem that I can't shutdown. When I shutdown the regular way with the Finder, than everything quit, even the Finder but the Dock stays. Nothing else happens. Not even after an hour. I still can startup apps though but as soon all apps are closed then I have an empty desktop again with no menubar but only the Dock. Console doesn't show me really a big problem from the moment I choose shutdown: 15/11/15 14:39:09,214 WindowServer[175]: CGXGetConnectionProperty: Invalid connection 54795 15/11/15 14:39:09,215 spindump[542]: Got xpc error message in libspindump client connection: Connection invalid 15/11/15 14:39:09,215 garcon[555]: host connection <NSXPCConnection: 0x7fc0831155d0> connection from pid 403 invalidated 15/11/15 14:39:09,215 garcon[555]: Garcon destroyed (0 alive). 15/11/15 14:39:09,215 WindowServer[175]: CGXGetConnectionProperty: Invalid connection 54795 15/11/15 14:39:09,215 WindowServer[175]: CGXGetConnectionProperty: Invalid connection 54795 15/11/15 14:39:09,215 WindowServer[175]: CGXGetConnectionProperty: Invalid connection 54795 15/11/15 14:39:09,216 syncdefaultsd[1274]: SecTaskLoadEntitlements failed error=3 15/11/15 14:39:09,216 WindowServer[175]: CGXGetConnectionProperty: Invalid connection 54795 15/11/15 14:39:09,220 syncdefaultsd[1274]: com.apple.finder has been removed from syncing apps. 15/11/15 14:39:14,234 pkd[414]: client 1308 plug-in com.getdropbox.dropbox.garcon election := 1 The weird thing is that I can shutdown via Terminal by doing sudo Halt command. I'm using latest Clover (v3320) with shutdown_fix checked but uncheck that doesn't help. Also using a patched DSDT.aml so maybe something there is wrong but I'm not that good in DSDT patches. I attached my dsdt for the person who is so kind to take a look at it. Any other input appreciated. Thanks, BiTRiP DSDT.aml.zip config.plist.zip
  6. I have burned literally thousands of DVDs in my 3 1/2 year old MacBook Pro. However, recently I have been unable to do so in Disk Utility and iDVD. It goes through the motions but apparently fails to close the disc. You can hold it up to a light and see that the disc has been burned, but it is unreadable. I thought my optical drive might need to be replaced until I tried to burn straight from the Finder one day. If I highlight files and/or folders in Finder, right-click and tell it to Burn, it works fine. So it's obviously software related. Anyone have a clue on how to fix it without a reinstall of OS X? I have already tried to repair permissions but it didn't help. Thanks in advance!!!
  7. Hello everyone. Time ago, I wrote a post in graphics section, but there was not clear solution. The thing is, I got a skylake system (the one of my second config) with a Nvidia 710. I can get the card recognised and with acceleration, shows correct VRAM, metal support, but when it comes to launch apps sometimes finder glitches, or the windows show up very tiny. Here you can se what is happening: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/319158-nvidia-gt-710-working-but-funny/?p=2333045 So investigating a bit I came to the conclusion that resterting finder will delete these "ghosts" Knowing that safari doesn't render very well it might be a framework issue, but I don't know what. If someone can take some light over this strange behaviour it will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Ghost icons and hangs

Hello there, I got my system perfectly working with el capitan, but with sierra I can't get graphics to work properly. No matter if using integrated hd 530 or using my Nvidia gt 710, even if no graphics drivers in use (vesa), there is graphics glitch. The images ilustrating this can be found inside an older post of mine: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/319158-nvidia-gt-710-working-but-funny/ Thanks in advance.
  9. I just completed a fresh reinstall of clover, and when I went into post installation I saw the hackintosh was a mac mini. I switched it to Mac Pro 3,1 for flexibility sake and went on with completing the imessage fix and all of the other things I needed to do to get myself back up and running. But, although my SMBios and About This Mac say it is an early 2008 Mac Pro, Finder displays a Mac Mini and iMessage refuses to allow me to send messages to anyone besides myself, even though my account is enabled. Any help?
