1. Have managed to boot into Finder without a usb but cannot see the outside world. Could you please help me to enable Marvell 80E8056 ethernet access on 10.9.5 13F34 ?
2. This is a dedicated thread about the intel 8255X based ethernet cards which, although being old (but also very cheap and easy to find used online), they still works in the latest macOS releases today i tested mine with the 64 bit compiled AppleIntel8255X kext and works like a charm! stable and withou any issues with mine 100 mbit managed ethernet switch and also without suffering of problems like connection dieing under heavy load or sleep/wake issues, so just to report that i have create this dedicated thread about and also i leave the kext as an attachment, in this post, this may be usefoul to have cheap working ethernet for hackintosh machines running the latest macOS or just to reuse old hardware some one can have laying around. AppleIntel8255x.kext.zip
3. I have started this thread to discuss about old and very cheap ethernet cards working in the latest macOS releases, cards who just uses old ethernet controllers or are new and cheap cards with old ethernet controllers, this thread is just to discuss about such cards and also to have a list in the first post with reported working cards with drivers linked. To contribute you have to report which card of this kind is working for you and which driver or method you followed to get it wo work and also which issues you have, and then it will be added in the list. I start reporting cards which worked for me, yours will be added in the future: intel 8255X based cards: just works using the AppleIntel8255X kext (look in the attachments) and seems to be stable with no issues And also there are some cards i am curious to see if can work with mac, so i leave this part at the end of the post, do you know if it's possible to get realtek pci (not pci express) ethernet cards working in the latest mac os? i have a few of them and i have difficulties fining drivers for mac, having a driver for the latest mac wil help me in creating also a youtube video with the cheapest hackintosh compatible ethernet cards AppleIntel8255x.kext.zip
4. Hello, I am currently using El Capitan with an Asus Maximus II Formula, but the mainboard has a weird bug that the system freezes when im using the built in ethernet ports. (not only in macos, also in linux and windows) ... so i was using a USB Dongle wich worked fine, but the performance (USB2) was not the best. Now i want to add a ethernet-card to the system. Is there a cheap, and simple to install (maybe native?) PCIe Ethernet Networkcard that can be recommended? thank you greets
Portatil: Insys m761su CPU: T3400 RAM: 4GB Grafica geforce 9300M GS

Hi Guys, Thanks a lot devs for making hackintosh possible on AMD. I just updated to 10.10.5 from 10.10.3 and I get Kernel Panic until I remove the RealtekRTL8111.kext from S/L/E My Config: FX 8120 GA 970A DS3 (Non UEFI) 24GB DDR3 320GB HDD I am using Chameleon as bootloader. Everything was working fine in 10.10.3 I updated and used the kernel and other files in Zip in AMD Development Section. Everything else is working fine. It boots all fine If I remove the kext and clear the cache. I have tried both v 1.2.3 and 2.0 It doesnt boot into Safe Mode with the kext. Kindly Help finding a solution. I mainly use this for iOS development. I have a Mac book Air but its too small for long time work.

9. Hi, i'm running SL 10.6.8 on my desktop.. Specs: Mobo: Asus P5L-VM 1394 CPU: Intel Core Duo E4300 @ 1.8Ghz RAM: A-data 1GBx2 667 DDR2 GPU: Geforce 9500GT 1gb (1680x1050, QE/CI) PCI Ethernet: RTL8139/810x Everything works, except Ethernet.. First of all i can only boot in 32bit mode, if i try to boot with arch=x86_64 just freeze on the grey apple screen. All kext i found seems to be 64bit only.. I got them from osx86.net and there are a lot of kext for this card there, from description some are also for 32bit but none is working for me. When installing them, during repairing permission i get a popup that tell me the extension cannot be registered because has failed to load.. and also rebooting they do not load. So, i tried with another hard disk, where i have 10.6.7 without any kext for my machine, and boot fine in 64bit mode, and my ethernet is working, then just to see, i booted in 32 bit mode, and ethernet was obviously not working. So, i need a 32bit kext for my card, or fix my 10.6.8 to boot in 64bit.. can you help me? is all day i try to make work this card..... Thank you
10. Caros, Eu instalei o hackintosh iatkos l2. Agradecido,
11. I have never run into something like this (and I work as a network administrator on my campus at school with a much more complicated network). Let me describe the scenario and what I've tried so far to no avail: There are two computers; let's call them "Hackintosh" and "PC". I'm replacing PC with Hackintosh in one particular room of my house (which is wired for ethernet), and I've just finished configuring Hackintosh in another room where it was connected to a different ethernet jack perfectly fine (full network/internet access). This hackintosh's motherboard is a Gigabyte EP45-UD3R, which while slightly old runs OS X flawlessly. I wrote a really popular guide (one of the first) back in the day for how to install OS X 10.6 on that motherboard, and am really happy with how much advancement there has been. Anyways, here's what I did: After configuring Hackintosh in a different room connected to that room's ethernet jack (successfully), I then tried connecting it to two other ethernet jacks in the house and it was able to get an IP automatically through DHCP instantly (aka the machine and its network card are operational and properly configured). Before I disconnect PC in the room I'm moving Hackintosh into, PC's internet is working fine with the jack it has been connected to for over a year. I proceed to hook up Hackintosh to the same jack that PC was connected to, but OS X's network preference pane doesn't even register that it's connected to anything (it just says, "Cable Unplugged" etc). I tried two other cables that I know work (just in case) and that didn't change anything as I expected. Yet, Hackintosh is still able to obtain a DHCP IP using alternate jacks around the house. I tried two alternate computers (a Macbook Pro and an old netbook running Windows) with the jack in question and they both obtained DHCP IPs instantly. It seems that Hackintosh is the only computer that cannot connect to my home network and obtain an IP using this specific jack. Also, I reconnected PC to the jack in question it had been connected to and working with in the past, and it was able to obtain an IP. Just to be thorough I also tried connecting PC to other jacks around the house and it worked with each one. I'm not sure what's left. I restarted my router (it's one of those AT&T U-Verse devices) and that still hasn't helped Hackintosh get a DHCP-assigned IP address from the jack PC was connected to. I figured there might be some weird issue where the router is filtering out Hackintosh's MAC address from using PC's port, but I don't know what would cause that. If no other computers besides PC worked using that jack I would assume the issue is some kind of automatic ISP/router mac filtering as PC has been the only computer connected to the jack in its room until I started moving stuff around today, but as I mentioned alternate Mac and Windows machines were able to get an IP from the jack successfully so I doubt that's the problem. If it matters, before Hackintosh was Hackintosh, it was running Linux server software and connected to another jack in the house for a long time (one of the ones I tested when looking for alternate jacks). Any ideas? I'm still thinking but probably about to sleep on it... As a super last resort I can clear the device list in my router and have it re-detect everything although given Hackintosh says, "Cable Unplugged" and not "Self-Assigned IP" or something I feel like that won't work. --- EDIT1: I did that "clear devices list" on my router and it hasn't changed anything. Hackintosh is still unable to receive a DHCP-assigned IP address specifically from that one jack I need it to. Rebooted and out of curiosity tried changing the "Ethernet Built-In" flag to "No" in the Chameleon boot plist, but it didn't change anything. I'm going to sleep but will check this thread in the morning and probably continue to tinker in hope of a solution. EDIT2: Still have the problem (sleeping on it magically didn't make it work). I just noticed that the light in the ethernet port on the computer is blinking orange once every 5 or so seconds. I'm about to consult Google to see what that means... EDIT3: The blinking orange light just means it's connected to a gigabit interface (as opposed to a green light which would mean it's connected to a 100 Mbps interface). I'm now going to try manually installing Lnx2Mac's Realtek RTL81XX driver using his .pkg file. EDIT4: EUREKA! I'm typing this from Hackintosh using the questionable ethernet jack. The only catch? I'm actually connecting the questionable jack to a normal 10/100 ethernet switch (didn't have a gigabit one lying around) and then Hackintosh to another port on the same switch... I guess there must be something wrong with the physical wiring layout of the EP45-UD3R and/or the questionable jack. Can anyone give me an explanation? For the time being, I'm ok finding a small gigabit ethernet switch and using that as the "wiring proxy" to get Hackintosh to work in the room I need it to. I'll dismantle the jack later to see if I can find any anomalies.
12. Hey guys I have a problem that I have searched around for a solution for and can not seem to resolve it without doing a restore to a from a older HDD (just upgraded to a ssd). Im running 10.6.8 and everything was running great until I decided to check what apple updates were around. There was an update for apple airport and a couple of others that I can not remember what they were but they were nothing major and I was not worried about my hack breaking. The problem happened when the machine rebooted, my internet just would not work, no wireless and no ethernet. The weird thing is that SKYPE and FTP both work just fine so I was doing my homework and it seems to be an DNS issue. This happened once before and I decided to just restore the HDD from my original build(mentioned above). Everything was running great once again so this eliminated the computer hardware and my network, Router and ISP. At this point in time I did not know what happened to my machine as I had installed a couple of things real close together. So my question is can I roll back this update (I have a timemachine) and if not what can check on this machine and change to get this working again. Also, if your internet is working do not upgrade your airport software/drivers from apple (lesson learned).
13. First thanks for the help from everybody that i PM and those whose responded in my post. Seems linking this was a no no to other users posts was just trying to help out removed the links. I am gonna try to do this real simple and quick. I tried almost all the methods for the USB stick installer some went well others not so well. This is a unaltered restore no add ons to the USB Stick just simple and plain restore. 1.Get to any real mac or pc mac to do the USB Stick Restore. 2.Do not use any MBR formats keep it strictly GUID. 3.Open disk utilities now tab your USB Stick in the left pane then choose RESTORE grab your Dev Prev 1 Dmg don't mount it just drop it in your source and USB Stick to destination and restore erase will be called for with admin pass on lion. 4.once everything is done take both the HD your gonna install Mt Lion on and your new ESD USB STICK over to any real mac and the ESD will mount choose install and pick the the 10.8 HD your gonna install it this is not for dual Boot HDs and run the installer after you choose the disk it will restart as usual and it will install a nice fresh copy of 10.8 done! restart into the new 10.8 HD fill in your info. 5.Check all the apps everything should work no crash apps like in the forums. it will work! 6.Eject the USB Stick your done with it! Take the 10.8 HD to your pc running Snow or Lion Grab yourself Kakewalk 4.1.1from his site Donate if you like buy his app for a Buck! The Guy came through for alot of us. http://www.kakewalk.se/download/ 7.Your 10.8 can be mounted via USB or eSata or internal sata it doesn't matter just get it mounted on your desktop, Pop over to linx2mac and grab his newest kext version .90 http://lnx2mac.blogspot.com/p/realtekrtl81xx-osx-driver.html I used that one if you read his forums it says it wont work but with this version it will i used Pacifist 3.0 leave the, kexthelper app alone dont use it! In Pacifist open the realteck pkg and right click on it and choose your 10.8 HD to install the Kext. 8.Run the Kakewalk 4.1.1 app choose upgrade option choose your motherboard and the 10.8 HD and let it install ... if the permission weren't fixed, its ok the pop up window will tell you use disk utilities thats what i did. 9.Install this version of Chameleon_2.1svn_r1820_trunk_10.8 and dont chose anything no smbios nothing... just make sure you change the installation to 10.8 cause i wasnt paying attention while i was lighting up my stogie and it did my LION i fix thank god. 10.Now after your done fix the 10.8 HD permissions and restart. Thasts all i did!!!! gonna uploads screen shots for non gigabyte owners there has to be something equivalent to kakewalk4.1.1 for you folks
14. Hello all, I recently installed iAtkos ML2 10.8.2. Everything works just fine except the ethernet. Everytime i boot or reboot, my ethernet shows 'cable unplugged' then i have to pull the plug and plug it again to work. I have installed appleRTL8169.kext. I am not sure if its a hardware or the kext issue. Thanks. My Specs: MSI 945GZM6-F Intel Dual Core 1.8GHz Geforce 9400GT 3GB RAM 10/100 Fast Ethernet by Realtek 8100C EDIT It was a hardware issue. Changed the motherboard and everything is working great. Thanks all.
16. Hello, After reading the FAQ on tonymacx86 and doing a successful install of MacOS Sierra on my HP laptop, I tried to get the ethernet working. I installed the RealtekRTL8100.kext from mieze (from the FAQ). It recognises the ethernet cable but there is no connection to the internet. I've read every forum post with the same ethernet card and people that have the same problem. And I installed some other kexts but those didn't work at all. Name: Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller Hardware id: PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8136&SUBSYS_8099103C&REV_0A It should be a RTL8101e. I've a dual boot with Windows 10 and everything is working fine there. Can someone please help me? I attached my files, look at "problem report" at the bottom of the page. files.zip
17. Hey guys, So after a lot of a digging and reinstalling, etc, I finally got my hackintosh to work on my AMD. There's just one thing left . . . my Ethernet controller. No matter what I do I can't seem to get it to work. I don't have any wireless cards or anything, so my Ethernet is the only thing I can use for internet. I've tried most of the suggestions i could find online. Specs: AMD Phenom II X4 3.0 mhz 8GB RAM 1 TB Hard Drive (Windows) 1 TB External Drive (Mac OS X 10.9.1) AMD Radeon HD 6450 1GB On board Realtek sound card Broadcom BCM5788 On board ethernet controller Any help is appreciated, Thanks (sorry for spelling and grammar)
18. Hi, I have a Gigabyte GA-x79-UD5 mainboard, running ML 10.8.5 and a problem to get ethernet up and running. In System Preferences nothing shows up, the ethernet controller is not recognized. However, if I boot up in safe mode, it is there and working. I installed the hnak AppleIntelE1000e.kext with ##### (several versions from 5.2.1 to 5.5.5) several times, then removed the IONetworkingFamily.kext from S/L/E and installed the untouched version from my ##### stick, reinstalled the hnak AppleIntelE1000e.kext, and still nothing. I also deleted the networkinterfaces.plist and preferences.plist from Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration. To no avail. I'm at my wits end and would appreciate some help so much. Thanks!
19. Hey guys i cannot use apple store. i am already using EthernetBuiltIn. I have deleted multiple times the files in /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration. 20. Hi Problems are building up on this machine built for a professional recording studio. Hope you can read through and help me with some hints or put me in the right direction:-) System: Gigabyte GA-Z87X-OC, Socket-1150 Intel Core i7-4770K Processor Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600MHz 32GB Corsair TX 750W PSU Gigabyte GeForce GTX 650Ti 2GB PhysX Kingston HyperX 3K SSD 240GB 2.5" Seagate Barracuda® 3TB OSX: Mountain Lion 10.8.5 MB 5.5.3 and 5.5.5 Beginning 1. Purchased this after looking at November build at tonymacx86. I installed by using the tutorials I found on the site and with UNIB everything worked fine. I got the machine into OSX in safe mode and ran MB with some settings. NO DSDT, GraphicsEnabler=0, 1024, and some others I can't remember right now. Restarted and got into OSX. Everything worked except Audio and Ethernet. Installed AppleIntelE1000e.kext and ALC892 and when restarted both worked fine. Only thing I could get to work was a firewirecard. After installing my RME soundcard and tons of plugs/softeware for the studio everything was working perfectly. Even the UAD-2 card was running fine. Problem starts 2. Then a couple of weeks later the machine suddenly wouldn't go into OSX. Nothing was changed or installed. After going in with safemode and checking I found out that Ethernet didn't work, also the audiodriver was not working. I also had to add npci=0x3000, dart=0 and PCIRootUID=1 into the plist to get it to start. Strange since it was working fine without those the day before. Still the ethernet and internal audio wouldn't work. Not a biggie since I don't use internet for other things than registrate my software and I use RME for audio. More problems 3. The machine was working for a couple of days, then same thing happened. Hang on startup. This time I tried everything but couldn't get it in. Coincidently I took out my external 3.0 drive and the machine started. From that moment I couldn't start my machine with something put into the USB 3.0 ports. Even more 4. The machine worked 2 days. Then hanged on startup. This time it wouldn't start with anything in the USB 2.0 ports....!! Lastly 5. Machine hangs after one day of working fine. Could not start with anything connected. Went into safemode and redid everything in ##### ( which I have did many times already) after restart after restart I got it started. I don't expect it to work tomorrow!! I hope there are some nice people out there could give it a shot in helping me/the studio:-) I've uploaded 2 files that shows startup messages. I got 2 different the last days so I took a pictur of both. I'm sorry but they ended up on the side. Thanks in advance.
21. Hi everyone, I'm writing here to find a solution to the issues I'm encountering on my computer after installing OS X 10.8.3. My system is the following: i7 3770K, ASRock Z77 Extreme4, 2x4GB 2GHz RAM. I'm using the integrated HD4000 graphics. Everything seemed working after installing some kext (audio and OC'd processor with "an unified tool", video and LAN separately), but: - There's no way to make my computer sleep: the screen turns off, the power led begins flashing, but the fans keep going, and the motherboard display shows a (error?) code. Then I can't wake the pc but pressing the reset button. - Even if I installed the proper kext, all the USB 3 ports can't read any mass storage device I connect: if I plug in a mouse, or another similar device, it works flawlessly, but any USB thumb drive or external HDD aren't recognised. - After some minutes of normal usage, my computer loses the internet connection. A reboot is the only solution: after that, the issue disappears, but if I switch off the computer and, for example, I don't turn it on till the following day, it disconnects again. The third one is the most bothersome issue, because it often happens when I need a stable connection, so I'd be satisfied with a solution to just that one. Thank you for you help :wink2:

23. Hello everyone, I'm trying to figure out why my card doesn't work anymore after updating my mac installation from 10.7.2 to 10.7.4 using a combined version of the mac I downloaded from apple.com. My network card is a Realtek RTL8168. I've tried different kexts and packages so far but to no success. I had 10.7.4 installed before and I managed to make it work very easily last time. I just installed a kext using the ###### app. I have built and rebuilt the permission over and over again. Still no success. Does anyone have any suggestions to what else I should try to make it work? Thanks in advance. Just in case you need my computer information: Compaq CQ61-112SL (kinda bad ) Graphics: GMA4500HD - Mobile Intel 4 Series Chipset Family Wireless: AR5007 802.11 b/g (can't make this work either) Ethernet: Realtek RTL8168 CPUs: 2 X Intel Pentium Dual CPU T3400 @2.16GHz

25. Hey guys, I've been running OS X on my system for a while now, I was previously running Mavericks, and then I updated it to Yosemite, and I can not get all of my monitors to work on 10.9 or 10.10, I can get at least one every time, if I'm lucky two will work, and the third one just flat out never works. I can't understand why and I've been dealing with this for months and I'm finally posting about it, any ideas? Also, it did this no matter whether I using the web or default driver. I am running two GTX 780s *NOT in SLI*, and I do know what the deal is, any help would be appreciated, On a side note, I use the clover bootloader and I when I use the kext-dev-mode=1 flag it is supposed to register all kexts and boot with them, boot if I try to boot without injected kexts, I have no network connection, otherwise, if I boot with injected kexts it works fine, but I always have the monitor issue and I do not know what the deal with that is. For reference, I'm using an Asus Rampage IV Extreme board, other than these two issues, the OS runs great. Any ideas?
