    Signal loss on GTX 980

Hi all! I just recently got my EVGA SC ACX GTX 980 and installed Yosemite as well. After a successful install, I installed the NVIDIA web drivers and put the graphics card on my board, but on either HDMI or Displayport, I get a signal loss. Yet, when I use a DVI cable, it works fine. From what I've been reading, many people have been getting issues with getting both to work. I have used all three of the drivers (f01-f03) and still get the same results. What exactly do I need to do in order to get both HDMI and displayport to work properly?
  2. Title says it all. I have an R9 390 working great on Sierra thanks to cyberdevs on this forum. That being said, I still have no audio and have "No Audio devices" in settings and system report. I'm running a displayport cable from the R9 390 to my monitor, an XR341CK, and was hoping to get audio from the built-in speakers. Anyone have any ideas? I've already tried installing the RealtecALC.kext for the ALC887 codec in S/L/E. Running this via onboard audio on my ASUS B150M-A mobo. Thank you in advanced - lord knows this forum has saved me from plenty of headaches.
  3. Hi all, I've started to install El capitan on a HP elitebook 820 G2 with i5 5300U and HD5500. The video card is working good, native screen resolution, 1366x768, set as internal dispay, and recognised as Intel HD Graphics 5500 1536 Mo. i have 512Mb video dedicated memory setup in bios. But when I connect a second screen on the displayport, all display turns on black screen. I used rehabman laptop patches for my dsdt: :[bat] HP ProBook-4x0s-G1 :[sys] AC Adapter Fix :[sys] Shutdown Fix v2 :[igpu] Brightness fix (haswell) I used ssd broadwell generator script. I patched AppleintelBWGraphicsFramebuffer binary with clover: find 02001616 01030303 00002002 00005001 00000060 6C050000 6C050000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000800 02000000 30020000 01050900 00040000 07050000 0204 replace 02001616 01020202 00002002 00005001 00000060 6C050000 6C050000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000800 02000000 30020000 01050900 04000000 04000000 FF04 Without the patch of the AppleintelBWGraphicsFramebuffer dispayport is not effective (nothing appened when i connect a second screen, not recognized). With it, second screen connection give black screen. Not sure of what i do by patching this ^^ I also tried dsdt patch to rename gfx0 to igpu, have no effect. btw, light/brightness control is enabled is monitor preference, shortcut respond, but nothing effective. i patched the dsdt with the brightness fix for haswell and use the last ACPIbacklight.kext. Here some stuff used https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-sUmdgLOBgBSnVMdkdDU21tUk0/view?usp=sharing and a tutoriel of what i've done (in french): http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/307270-hp-elitebook-820-840-g2-i5-5300u-hd5500-el-capitan/ I attach my ioreg to the post. hp-elitebook-820G2.zip Any helps and ideas are welcome ! Cheers
  4. HDMI + HDMI Sound works, but only 4k@30fps cause of HDMI version. Videocard IntelHD 5600 doesn't support HDMI 2.0 so i desided to use Displayport for 4k@60fps, but it just didn't work. So, there is no signal with 1080p monitor. It's a global problem with mdp on laptop. When I plug in the cable - system freeze for a moment, monitor offers to use displayport instead of hdmi (in monitor settings), but after a second - "no singal". I tried to use pixelclock patch, but no result. By the way there is no option in monitor settings to change pixelclock or displayport version. Also I tried this patch, but no results too. Also I tested this repo https://github.com/PMheart/CoreDisplayFixup. No success. Also I tried to attach DP port to the 0306 connector. Patch is working, but no success. All the conversations with RehabMan you can find on tomynac, but dead end there. I'm pretty sure that DP works by IntelHD (screenshot from Windows in attachments). On Windows displayport works properly 4k@60fps. Any ideas? Is it possible to make displayport work? 5. Intel i5-4590 processor Asus H97i-Plus mobo Gigabyte GTX750Ti with a 4K@60Hz display via Displayport Just installed El Capitan(10.11.1), my video card is not supported, so I installed nvidia web driver for El Capitan. With argument "nvda_drv=1", boot is ok, but the display is distorted. current bootloader is clover, have tried many boot args with no luck, the display is either distorted or at 1280x1024 resolution. With "nvda_drv=1" and connected with TeamViewer, I see the video card is recognized correctly, it has correct model name and vram. But the resolution is at 1920*1080 with another option:1366*768. so is there any way to force resolution to 4k? please help, thanks.
  6. Here is a simple solution to get audio working over DisplayPort (or HDMI) and use the system (including the keyboard) to control the intensity. 1. Download HDMIAudio.kext using the link at the bottom of this post (credit: andrejkw). 2. Mount the EFI partition and copy the kext to the usual location (/EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.10 for Yosemite). 3. Reboot. The audio device should now be available, however it does not let you control the output (by OS X design). Also thanks to hlrsellsout for discovering this kext and spreading the word! To enable system audio control, set up sound routing to a virtual sound device (credit: Matt Montag; you can also use his guide): 1. Download and install Soundflower. 2. Reboot. 3. Open Soundflowerbed and configure Soundflower (2ch) virtual device to use the DisplayPort/HDMI device (in the menu bar). 4. Open System Preferences > Sound and select Soundflower (2ch) as the device for sound output. (Alternatively use Audio MIDI Setup from /Applications/Utilities to set up the same along with alerts and sound effects.) Now you should be able to control the sound intensity using the system interface and keyboard. My build on which it is working: Gigabyte Z97X Gaming 7 Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 G1 Gaming i7 4790K Yosemite 10.10.1 Clover

  8. Boa noite.
  9. Hi I have Acer Predator 17, 6700hq, 17" gsync display and Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB without internal gpu - laptop display is hooked to gpu directly so are the display port and hdmi connectors. I have newest pascal webdrivers. Everything works fine under sierra except I can't turn on my 4k display connected via displayport - it just says no signal and whole gui on laptop display is frozen. When I disconnect displayport, gui works again on laptop display. Does anyone have similar problem and solution? Also I have problem when I play Hearthstone with some light artefacts. It's common on nvidia gpus or this is hackintosh only problem?
