  1. Do I have a USB problem or not? All USB ports only work really with me AFTER sending El Capitan to sleep and wake it up again(dummy kexts, GenericUSB makes no difference, with FakePCIID_XHCIMux.kext all USB ports are dead). In Disk Utility some disks are somehow detected (grayed out, spinning wheel, not mountable). After Wake however all disks work properly. No problems at all with other devices like keyboard, mouse, Bluetooth or USB audio. Has anyone an idea what's going on? Many thanks! Edit: Ok, USB 2.0 Ports are working (System profiler shows them as usb 3.0). All USB 3.0 Ports dead. Edit2: Compiled DSDT (it's a mess but at least no errors anymore, only a few hundred remarks and warnings...). The result: 4 of the 6 USB 3 Ports are now recognized (used Dummykexts with port restrictions removed). Has that something to do with iMac 14,2 SMBIOS (need it for my nVidia to work, Macpro defintion leads to black screen)? Sleep doesn't work anymore, seems USB wakes the Captain instantly. Any suggestions?
  2. Hello nice people, What I wanted to do that is the following : For example on the hackintosh to make a backup on an internal sata disk (remote backup with rsync for example, or something else) . Then if something goes wrong with the hack I should be able to remove this internal hard disk and to connect it to a real mac in USB ,so that I can get back my files (even more better be able to boot). I did the following : I partition (GUID/mac OSX journalisé) an external disk connected in USB to a real mac, it is recognized when the disk is connected via USB on the hackintosh. BUT il the disk is inserted in the hackintosh as internal via SATA, it is not recognized anymore. Furthermore the partition is now MBR/ FDisk_partition_scheme. Only the first partition can be seen on Disk utility (or in terminal with diskutil list) but I cannot mounted it (and seen on the finder). The problem is the same the other way around. I mean partition an internal sata disk on the hack, then remove it and connect it in USB to the real mac. Then it is not recognized ... Why is it so ? Any idea and solution ? Sorry for my english, I hope I made myself clear…. Many thanks Dominique Build : Snow-Leopard OSX 10.6.8 / GigabyteGA-H67MA-UD2H (Rev. B3) F8 / i3-2105 sandybridge
  3. Hi everyone, I'm having a weird issue, when I do certain tasks the OS freezes and becomes unresponsive, at that point the only way to "fix" that is force shutdown pressing the power button from laptop. The only two ways I reproduce that are: Using Box Sync, when that program starts syncing after a while (not to much) the OS hangs At first boot when OS restores opened programs and Google Chrome has a few tabs (like around, I don't know, 30 for example), Chrome starts restoring every tab and OS hangs after a little bit (while restoring tabs) Anybody experienced this or have any ideas about it? Thanks in advance. Spects: Dell Inspiron 3420 Intel Core i3 2328M 8GB 1333Mhz DDR3 Intel HD Graphics 3000 512MB SATA 500GB OS X Niresh Mavericks 10.9 + Update 10.9.5 from Mac App Store GPT (GUID Partition Table) Bootloader Clover UEFI Any other data you may need just ask me. Best regards.
  4. Hello everyone! I am trying to install El Capitan 10.11.4 on my laptop Asus X751LX using Clover. I managed to succesfully reach the install with no problems, but when I go to Disk Utility in order to prepare my HD, it simply isn't on the list. The only drive it sees is the usb I'm using as installer. Here are my PCI devices: And this is what I see when I do "diskutil list" in terminal I attach my EFI folder with config.plist inside and other stuff. Any Ideas? EFI.zip

    No Disk Utility on L2

  6. Hi, I have a strange behavior. Sure somebody can help me???... I have a hackintosh, working well since several month. Configuration: Snow-Leopard OSX 10.6.8 / Gigabyte GA-H67MA-UD2H (Rev. B3) F8 / i3-2105 sandybridge 3.09 GHz / sapphire-radeon-hd-5450-1go / 8GB Corsair CMX8GX3M2A1333C9 XMS3 DDR3 1333 Mhz CL9 I added several hards disk to clone the hackintosh itself or some other mac. However when I add another internal hard disk making backup with rsync scripts of another snow leopard mac, I cannot boot anymore. (the script is making a sort of Time Machine backup). I am stuck after 'Load Operating System…' . Sometimes several "boot…" appears very quickly and disappears. Keyboard is not active. The hack is stuck and … me too..... But if I disconnect back the hard drive, the hackintosh boot very nicely again. I change Hard disks, making new 'clones' several times, same problem : no booting. So I don't understand. Here is my question : What can prevent from booting my hackintosh when I add a hard disk with a 'clone' of a mac on it. ??? It looks like when the clones contains only ordinary files, it is OK, and that the problem arise when 'system' files are copied/cloned. In other words what is changed on my 'good hack hard disk' which prevents booting when the 'new' hard disk is connected. What happens when the hack is started? NB: Of course with 'F12' each time I am choosing the right hard disk with the hackintosh system which has been all the time working. I am not trying to start from the added hard disk, but from the same 'good hackintosh'. Thanks a lot for your ideas of cause Dominique Sorry excuse me for my english.... Hope I am clear.
  7. I'm trying since a while to optimize Mac running on an Asus n56vm, and one of the outstanding problem is that parallel random accesses to the disk lock up the OS! This makes Chrome and some other process-and-disk intensive apps hard to use, and in general makes everything somewhat unresponsive. I've worked around this by disabiling paging, thus removing most disk read/writes... however I would like to fix the underlying problem and make everything faster! The chipset is an Intel HM76, and I don't really know which kexts/settings might be causing the locks... so my first question is - what kexts are involved in disk accesses for this chipset? That is, for SATA, AHCI, etc. I can't be sure about which ones they are :/ Thanks!
  8. Hello my configuration is this: Asus P8z77-M 8GB DDR3 (Corsair 1600) Nvidia 560SE 1536MB RAM Seagate 250GB SATA3 (ST3250318AS) I had a problem with USB not working inside installer but i solved it with this: Now remain the other problem with my disks. i have internal sata disk seagate 250GB but it appear as external in disk utility at el capitans installer. i tryed this: but with this, no longer start the installer. it stuck at some point. When i remove this code from config.plist, i can go to installer but again the drive appear as external. I tryed also other disks but all internal drives appear as external. Any solution? Im reffering ofcourse for El Capitan installation
