  1. Hi there, I'm an Italian student who wants to try out Hackintosh. I'm struggling on this odissey since 3 weeks ago and now I decided to ask for your help. My aim is to get macOS High Sierra up and running on my X99 build. The specs are as follows: Intel Core i7 5820K@3.3GHz Overclocked to 4.2GHz; MSI X99S SLI Plus; Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4@2133MHz Overclocked to 2400MHz (16GB); DeepCool Assassin II (Cooler); MSI GTX960 2GB OC Edition; SSD Samsung 850EVO 250GB; HDD Seagate Barracuda 2TB. As I said before I was struggling on this machine for 3 weeks with other guys that helped me a lot, but we can't get past the Reloc Block. With the most "successful" attempt we made, I eventually got it to the point you see in photo, after which it reboots in something like 2 or 3 seconds. In the attatched files you'll find the photo of the point where I was stuck (I apologize for the quality, if you need a more redable photo just ask and I'll take a shot) and the EFI used for that attempt. Thanks a lot to all of you for your help and support, if you need any additional information about my computer or the EFI Folder that you can't find in this post or its attatched files, don't hesitate to ask me, I'll be happy to answer. 2. My PC setup is as follows: Intel i7-4770 GA-Z87X-D3H Palit GeForce GTX 760 (Though I'm always running th Intel HD while installing) 8GB DDR3 RAM 320GB Fujitsu SATA-II I followed the Simplest Installer Guide. Everything runs perfectly, I can Start Snow Leopard without any flags and the combo update also works fine. I create my usb boot device with myHack 3.3.1. This works perfectly and I can boot the Mavericks installer again without any flags. Sadly when the installer finished Mavericks won't boot. It just stucks at the point that you see below in the picture. I tried safe mode which allows me to boot and I can sucessfully log in, BUT i have no drivers, not even USB devices are mountable. Also Ethernet doesn't work(10.6 it worked OOB). I saw that many of the new Haswell Mainboards have issues. You have any ideas or tips what I may do wrong? Thanks in advance

Spero possiate aiutarmi
  5. Hi guys, I made a proper install of Mavericks on my PC everything was working fine and today when I booted my OS X partition it shutdown after the greyscreen. Here is my config : Intel Core i5-2500K 3.3GHz ASUS Maximus IV Gene-Z SSD OCZ Vertex3 120Gb AMD Radeon R9 270X Thank for your help.
  6. Hi guys, I'm following you since x86project starts a lot of years ago. I'm writing this post because I have some problem booting the OsX ML 10.8 I installed on my PC. I followed a guide in the wiki (http://geeknizer.com...hackintosh-usb/) to install the OS without problem. Just created the ML Bootable Usb using ###### in a VMware Snow Leopard and installed on my machine without additional Flag Option on booting. My hardware list: Mobo: Asus P5E - firmware 1102 proc: Intel q6600 ram: 4gb Corsair Dominator 800Mhz Graphic: Ati 7950 2Gb HD: Hitachi 2,5" 500Gb 7200rpm After the installation booted again with the usb and installed ######. Fortunately I installed ML with no problem and i'm very happy about that, but NOW I can boot the OS only using the USB dongle. When pc starts the os doesn't boot reporting a lot of strange characters (not kernel). The kernel doesn't load. any suggestion? sry for my english

    lenovo g580 can't boot

Sorryfor bothering, i'm having problem with starting osx. 1 time it has started but touchpad and keyboard didn't worked. so i've rebooted to windows and using mac drive deleted kexts for mouse and copied there kext for my elan touchpad. Unfortunatelly nothing happens. (it stops on booting) Any ideas? core i3 2328m intel hd graphics 3000 nvidia 630m 2gb (disabled in bios) elan touchpad 4 gb ddr3
  8. Installed ML on HP HDX 16 using ###### method. Then used Chameleon 2.1 as bootloader. Noted that after install, whenever I updated the boot config file (org.Chameleon.Boot.plist in /Extra) using GUI tools (e.g. Chameleon Wizard), the permissions would change and the system would freeze during booting. Upon closer inspection, I realized that the permissions on the file which allowed the system to boot fully was 666 (rw-rw-rw-). Every time the permission changed to prevent write permission to "group", "others", the system would refuse to boot. Changing them back to 666 (chmod 666 /Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist) would allow the system to boot smoothly again. So to everyone who encounter unexplained boot freezes, I would giving this a shot; it may just work out for you. PS: Sorry if this has been covered earlier; didn't search the forums.
  9. hello this is my first post on here. i had a working iATKOS L2 installation running on the following pc: asus p5e3 premium wifi @p on w/ Q6600 2.4 GHz 8 GB DDR3 RAM ATI Radeon 5700 HD everything worked right out of install. i had rebooted several times with no problems. the asus led monitor went into power saving mode and i had to manually restart the computer because i could not 'wake' it up. it now freezes at the apple logo on boot. verbose boot shows a normal startup with no errors of any kind. i have also tried to single user boot and ignore cache boot, but to no avail. 11. I have installed El Capitan on my y510p laptop using Clover. followed this thread Actually everything worked quite well. The time when everything ready, even keep switch windows and mac os also no problem. Then eventually I going back to my windows 10 and did my stuff. In the next day, when I want to boot into Mac OS, then problem come (WHAT? the last boot was just perfect! Why so sudden?) I couldn't boot into my Mac OS. It gave me infinite spinning ball after logging in. OK, fine, I reformatted it. I reinstalled everything and even EFI partition. Everythings worked well again. Then I used back my windows 10 and did my stuff. The next day, SAME THING HAPPENED. I reinstalled everything again. This time I reinstalled both my windows 10 and Mac OS. Wow, Worked well. Then the next day, stucking at apple logo. Above are my reformat processes. Now I'm going to explain my debugging about this. I tried to boot in verbose mode, safe mode. I tried to use disk utility to repair my disk. What I got is "disk could not verified" DiskWarrior expensive, so I used MacDrive 10, tried to repair the disk. Couldn't repair and get "internal result 8". So what should I do, it could not even stand over one night. Is my windows break Mac OS partition? EFI breaks Mac OS partition? Clover break Mac os partition? Hardware problem? but my windows works perfectly. PLEASE help me.
  12. Hello, I have been running into the same issue for some time now when trying to boot Mac OS 10.12.6. Attached is a picture of the crash. I have a good feeling it has to do with Kaby Lake graphics but I have attempted several fixes for those issues. Any help would be greatly apprecieted.
