  2. I am currently only able to boot from an external storage device. The original installer I used works, and so does a 4gb usb card. The issue is that I get a kernel panic instantly without anything loading. Both the kernel panic and my clover folder are attached. BTW my specs are: Core i7 7500u 16gb ram 512 gb NVMe ssd HP Spectre x360 w023dx Clover.zip
  3. Today I replaced my 'old' main board (GA-H87N-WIFI) with the GA-Z97X-UDH5, while keeping my CPU, memory, SSD. For some reason I can no longer boot from any device, not the previously working SSD (Yosemite 10.10), nor any newly created installer USB (MBR or UEFI)?!? After selecting the boot device in the Clover menu it starts booting but shortly after it ends with a kernel panic: "Unable to find driver for this platform: \"ACPI\".\n" I already tried various boot flags, including -x -f -v GraphicsEnabler=No, but always with the same result. Where do I have to start looking, I'm a bit lost now.
  4. Hello! I am trying to upgrade Yosemite 10.10.4 to El Capitan 10.11.1 with no luck. I've been using hackintosh for quite a while now. I've never experienced any difficulties with upgrading to newer version until recently. The installation process goes all well with no problems as well as the first boot. I'm able to run all post-installation procedures (install clover bootloader, run unib... etc.). The problem begins when I install the latest Nvidia Web drivers. The Hackintosh just won't boot up and it keeps auto-restarting just before it shows the login screen (screen goes black for a few seconds and then the pc restarts). There is no kernel panic also booting in verbose mode does not show anything unusual (the web drivers seem to start up correctly). Sometimes what I am able to read out is: "previous shutdown cause: 5" but I'm not sure if this is related to a boot failure or to a previous "normal" shutdown. I've tried all sorts of things to resolve this issue from trying different combination of boot flags to deleting and reinstalling the nvidia drivers, booting into safe-mode / without kernel cache. I tried to inject Nvidia Gfx via clover bootloader but this resulted in kernel panic. The only thing that partly helped was booting with nv_disable=1 flag but then the resolution is really bad and hackintosh is practically unusable (the screen blinks to every frame when animation is being shown). Could you please help me with some suggestions how to fix this issue. My Hardware: Cpu: i7 Motherboard: dx58so2 Gpu: Nvidia GeForce 285 GTX Custom DSDT: Yes Flags that I've used: nv_disable=1/0, nvda_drv=1/0, GraphicsEnabler=Yes/no, x, npci=0x2000/0x3000, cpus=1/2/3/4, IGPEnabler=Yes, dart=0 kext-dev-mode=1, PCIRootUID=1 PS: Maybe I should also mention that I was previous using the Chimera bootloader instead of clover. Unfortunately I cannot post any boot logs because there is no log in /var/logs or /L/Logs, /S/L/Logs
  5. Hi! I have an UEFI bios (got it to install Yosemite on my Dell Inspiron laptop). Got an HDD with an old Mavericks system and an SSD with W7 and Yosemite. Today Clover suddenly stopped detecting my Yosemite and I couldn't boot into W7 as well (got "A disk read error occured" message). SSD was detected in BIOS, and I could boot into Mavericks on my SSD. I could see the SSD partitions fine, checked them with Disk Utility. Everything seems ok. Then eventually BIOS stopped seeing my SSD after a few reboots, and after trying to boot with the Yosemite install stick it stopped seeing any Clover boot options, I can't even boot into my HDD system. I haven't done anything suspicious before that happened, just installed USB WLAN card drivers on W7 and rebooted. Tried resetting BIOS options to default. My laptop model is Dell Inspiron N5110. Everything was working fine for months. Thank you!
