  2. Have removed the kernel patch, and am trying clover. See this post: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/299786-advice-sought—black-screen-after-boot/#entry2044867 Now I KP at startup. "Unable to find driver for this platform: "ACPI"" I haven’t installed anything yet; I’m just trying to boot into the USB installation drive. To get it to boot I had to change mach_kernel using this perl patch discussed here: If I set GraphicsEnabler=No (default), I simply get a black screen after I see it do its normal verbose boot (the screen goes black right after [iOBluetoothHCIController]. If I set GraphicsEnabler=Yes, then it simply hangs on the same [iOBluetoothHCIController]. Has anyone run into this problem? I'd really appreciate some sort of solution. If no one has a solution, then any possible ways I could troubleshoot this would also be appreciated. A concise summary below: Issue: Black screen after boot. I can see everything on the boot screen, but nothing after. Hardware: EVGA Classified Z97 2x EVGA reference 780Ti i7-4790K Things I have tried: GraphicsEnabler=No (black screen remains) GraphicsEnabler=Yes (Hangs on [iOBluetoothHCIController]) PCIRootUID=0,1 DSDT=no -f, -F, -x

    GeForce 9800 gx2 Sierra/High Sierra

Hi, not so much ago i got a geforce 9800 gx2 and i was wondering how do i get it to work on sierra/high sierra? i have tryied a lot of things but nothing worked, i always got a black screen, the only way to get it to boot is by using -nv_disable=1 which will boot the system of course without video acceleration but with one of the 2 gpus detected and the other not. since i am going to use this card for my 2008 dream hackintosh build, with sierra, how do i make it to work? Thanks for your answers
  4. Hi all. I am trying to install OS Lion to Sony VAIO S1512 the new model with Ivy bridge i7 and HD Intel 4000 graphics. It has almost everything from the Realtek (Audio, Network Family adapter,... etc.) Now, I first tryied to install it on external HDD, but here is the problem... I cannot pass the black screen. I already have a USB Bootable flash drive with clean installation of Lion that worked on my HP Probook, but here doesn't work. When it should get to the installation screen after loading the Kexts it stops at the BLACK SCREEN and doesn't go further. Any ideas? Oh... is it possible to install to second partition of my SSD which already has a Windows 8 on it? Thank you for your help.
  5. Hello guys. I am setting up my first Hackintosh. Here are the specs: Mobo: Adlink M-342 with AMI Aptio 4 UEFI Intel i3 2120 SandyBridge 4GB RAM 500 GB SeaGate HDD So, here's the issue. The first part of the installation process works perfectly. At the end of the process, I am asked to perform a restart. I do that, it boots back to Clover. I select the HFS partition where I installed OSx, it loads for a while and then the screen goes blank. The only way I found so far to be able to boot to OSx is to set a FakeID in Clover's Graphics Injection menu. The only FakeID that works is this one: 0x041680862 Which is not even a real FakeID. There is no other way, at the moment, to boot to OSx but this one, which is far from a perfect solution (the screen flickers every now and then and I cannot select resolutions different from 1024x768). I really need help on this. HD4600 is known to be fully compatible with OSx, so nobody else has ever had this issue before (apparently). Thanks for your help.
  6. AMD Radeon 7850M, successfully updated to 10.10.3 using fix method: modifying info.plist of AMDRadeonX4000.kext, changed AMDVerdeGraphicsAccelerator as: <key>CAIL_DisableDrmdmaPowerGating</key> <integer>1</integer> <key>CAIL_DisableDynamicGfxMGPowerGating</key> <integer>1</integer> <key>CAIL_DisableGfxCGPowerGating</key> <integer>1</integer> <key>CAIL_DisableGmcPowerGating</key> <integer>1</integer> <key>CAIL_DisableStaticGfxMGPowerGating</key> <integer>1</integer> <key>CAIL_DisableUVDPowerGating</key> <integer>0</integer> <key>CAIL_DisableVCEPowerGating</key> <integer>1</integer> Combo updated to 10.10.4, the screen went black again after loading kexts, tried fixing with the above method but didn't work, now it went black even I enabled the Safe Mode~~~~ Here is my notebook info: HP Envy 17t-3200 CTO 3D Board:HP 1852 (Intel Ivy Bridge - HM76 Express) CPU:3rd Gen Core i7-3820QM @ 2.70 GHz Quadcore Graphic Card:ATI Radeon HD 7850M/8850M Sound Card:High Definition Audio Device @ Ethernet Card:Attansic AR8151 V2.0 Gigabit Ethernet Controller Wireless Card:Intel® Centrino® Ultimate-N 6300 AGN DVD ROM:HP BD E DC6E2SH Blu-Ray Combo Bluetooth:Broadcom 20702 Bluetooth 4.0 External Keyboard:Logitech MK330 USB 3.0 It seems that BIOS has blocked the Intel HD Graphics on my notebook. 7. Hello all, I have three hard drives in my setup: two dedicated to Mac OS X and its backup, and one for Windows. I'm trying to get both OSes (Ubuntu boots via USB) to play nicely. Clover is installed to the EFI partition of the Mac OS X hard drive. It's also set as the default boot device. Mac version here shouldn't matter, and I run Windows 8.1 Pro. I have also applied SSDT and DSDT patches via aml files. I don't know if Clover injects those into non-Mac OSes. When I did a fresh UEFI reinstall of Windows, both the USB installer and the resulting Windows hard drive booted fine from Clover's menu. BUT, once I installed Nvidia's 337.88 WHQL driver or the CUDA 6 driver, Clover boots Windows into a black screen. The spinning wheel is there, but after that the desktop does not load. Booting via the UEFI boot device selection in the BIOS into the Windows Boot Manager makes the graphics work, but then what's the point of installing Clover? What's interesting is that Clover boots Windows not from Clover's EFI file but the Windows's bootmgfw.efi file (or at least that's the theory). So to Windows, it should be the same as booting natively without a Clover layer. But obviously it's not. The screen doesn't work. Anyone know a fix to this? Thanks! *Addition* Monitors are running through a Gigabyte GTX770 4GB, dual display on both DVI slots. Since Windows is going to be mainly for gaming use, I'd prefer if these monitors stay in these slots...
  8. Alright. I have a PNY GeForce GT 630 as stated in title. I got the card a few weeks ago and switched from a Radeon 4450 (or 4550.. doesn't matter). Naturally, I had to remove the GraphicsEnabler=Yes flag and the computer ran great. Eventually I installed the CUDA driver and it seemed to do its thing correctly. All was good. One day, I booted to a black screen in the morning. I wasn't sure why, so I tried again and manually added GraphicsEnabler=No. It booted fine. ...ok! For almost a week the machine would boot just perfect if I did a "restart" (as opposed to power-off shut down) and sometimes would boot fine if I shut it down and turned it back on promptly. Otherwise, I would have to manually enter the GraphicsEnabler=No at my Chameleon prompt. When I checked Chameleon Wizard's bdmesg, it showed that I was booting with GraphicsEnabler=No TWICE at this point (I had added it manually to the .plist and then, as stated, would have to manually type it in a boot in the mornings, etc). Eventually this stopped working and I was magically able to limp along with the same methods except adding PCIRootUID=1 every boot. Adding this to the .plist, just like GraphicsEnabler, would show that the machine booted with the flag but it would only work if I manually inputted it into Chameleon when selecting the drive upon booting. A few days after that, I was absolutely unable to boot no matter what. Black screen. I could VNC into the machine and see the desktop. According to Kext Wizard, the nVidia kexts are in fact being loaded. In System Information > Graphics/Displays, my card shows up as "Nvidia Chip Model", device ID 0x0f00, 128mb. I don't know if I have any hardware acceleration at this point since I'm only VNC'ing into the machine and it's a little slow and crappy anyway. I don't seem to get any glitching that would be apparent when I booted with nv_disable. Oh yeah, nv_disable will boot fine, as you might expect, with the subsequent crappy graphics performance and glitching and all of that. Of course this makes sense as the nVidia drivers are not loading. I currently run the machine on my old ATi 4870 which works just great with GraphicsEnabler=Yes. A little old for my needs and also gets hot and sucks a lot of power (I think it's around a 200w card or something silly!) I have tried nearly every combination of the following boot flags GraphicsEnabler=No (and Yes) PCIRootUID=1 and 0 PciRoot=1 and 0 npci 2000 and 3000 (whatever those were) I made a flash drive with Clover on it and was able to boot to the same black screen. I kept my Yosemite USB stick and never touched it after I first successfully installed, back when I was using the Radeon 4450. I cannot boot from this USB stick using any combination of the above flags either. I plan on making a Mavericks stick with MyHack soon and seeing if I can get that to boot. There is a thread on Hackintosh.Zone (I hope it is ok that I link to there) where a person has the EXACT same problem with the same comptuer (well, Precision T3400 at least) except the thread was never resolved (heck, nobody but him/her replied) and they stopped posting at the point where the boot flags seemed to be completely random as to which one would work any given day. https://www.hackintosh.zone/hackintosh-topic/2474-must-always-type-graphicsenablerno-to-boot-even-though-its-in-plist/ They, however, were using an old Nvidia Quadro 1700 which was based on the 8600GT - very old card, completely different drivers as far as I am concerned. I assume they were running Mavericks (april 2014). Any ideas!? This seems to be an undocumented problem, I've been searching around for over a week now while banging my head against the desk or giving up and using my old Radeon. My computer: Dell Precision T3400 Intel X38 chipset Xeon x3363 (with 771->775 conversion) 6gb DDR2 Yosemite 10.10.2 Everything ran totally perfect, as I mentioned, for a while. I have looked through my BIOS and found no settings that would seem to hint toward solving the problem. There are no onboard graphics and the only video settings in BIOS are to make it prefer PCIe or PCI (both options of which I have tried). I reset the BIOS many times. The BIOS clock does set itself to GMT time (I think, 6 hours ahead from my USA Central time which is -6GMT I beleive) whenever I shut the computer off. The ONLY thing that I can remember changing during the genera time period when it first stopped booting was that I added a second hard drive (main is 500GB and additional was another 500GB) so that I could run a 100% Time Machine backup. I am so lost.

Mountain Lion on A6 - Clover issues

I have a laptop with an A6-3420M APU. The issue im having is actually booting Clover. I've used BootDiskUtility to create a Clover Bootable USB. The problem is that when I try to boot from the USB, I get a "7" in the top left corner of the screen and then the screen stays black. I've tried pressing other keys like 1,2,3 while its booting. I've tried booting UEFI [Pendrive] and just [Pendrive] in my bios(which i've updated to the latest version). All i'm getting is a black screen. I've even used different versions of Clover that say AMD Support. I extracted the PKG and put it on the flash drive. Still just get a "7" and then black screen. I can see that the resolution changes after it boots from the usb, though. Anybody ever have this happen? I can't find any information on it. Thanks, Robert.
  12. Hey guys, I'm working on a Samsung serie 5 ultra hackintosh, and I can't get my built-in display to work in any way. I add some strings to my org.chameleon.boot.plist like: <key>HD4000PlatformId</key> <string>9</string> <key>device-properties</key> <string>5e0000000100000001000000520000000100000002 010c00d041030a000000000101060000027fff04002c000000 4100410050004c002c00690067002d0070006c006100740066 006f0072006d002d006900640000000800000003006601</string> Also tried with GraphicsEnabler Yes and No, same thing. And with these strings, I could get my graphics and acceleration to work, but only in a external display (HDMI). Could anybody give me a hand out? Thanks!
  13. Hi, I've got an issue for which I can't seem to find a solution. I had OS X Mavericks 10.9 installed on a hard drive connected to my HP ENVY dv6-7247cl via a SATA-to-USB 3.0 cable. After using the 10.9.4 combo update, I get a black screen when I boot. I have sound (I can push the volume buttons on my laptop and hear the typical accompanying click), so I'm assuming I'm reaching the desktop fine. The screen, however, is absolutely blank. When I boot using verbose mode, I can spot no errors that might be related to the problem. In fact, the readout proceeds and ends like one would expect, only it's followed by blackness. The boot flags I currently use are -v, ncpi=0x2000, cpus=1, and dart=0. I've also tried GraphicsEnabler=Yes and GraphicsEnabler=No, though neither seems to help. Specs are in my sig. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! (Also, any fixes for those boot flags I'm having to use—cpus=1, especially—would be awesome.) Thanks, TatsuArekku
  14. Hey guys ! I have an issue concerning the Clover Bootloader for Yosemite. When I launch the Yosemite installation from Clover, the installer starts to load, but then the screen suddenly goes black, and few seconds later the computer seems to shut down (Not really a shut down because the power indicator is still on). The thing is I'm new to Clover, and I even after reading the wiki I couldn't find how to fix my problem. So I tested in verbose mode, but as the screen suddenly goes black I can't see what is the last loading line. It looks like the GraphicsEnabler problem of Chameleon, so I also tried to disable nvidia graphics with the flag nv_disable=1, but nothing changed. Can someone give me a clue to help me solve this problem ? Thanks.
  15. Hello everyone, It's make a long time I have this problem but I had never tried to find a solution until now. I have a as rock G41VS3-r2.0 with a E6300 and a gt610. Going to sleep is ok but, sometimes, at wake, my computer seem to wake but I have a blackscreen. It's not only a graphic problem because the system freeze ( no hdd activity, don't appear in my local network). Moreover, when I force shutdown, at boot, the progress bar is stuck at the middle. In order to fix this I need to boot Windows, and reboot under OS X, and it's ok, until the next "broken" sleep. Have you a solution ? PS : I have already edited my dsdt for multiple fix. Thank's and sorry for my english...
  16. I've created an USB following one of the guides of this forum. The problem is that when the load finishes, instead of the install screen, I get a black screen. I have a nVidia 240 GT with 1GB of memory, if that helps. Thank you very very much.
  17. I am on the process of changing bootloader, to clover, but am facing a problem. I installed it to an external SD Card formatted as FAT32 on MBR, and it booted fine, into the bootloader (after some trial and error). I then tried to boot OS X, during the boot everything looked normal, but when the desktop should appear, the monitor(s) went to sleep and I had no graphics. The desktop had loaded as I heard volume change sounds and the caps lock light worked. Everything works fine with chamelon but I need a clover for the appstore and updates. Here are my specs: i5-3570k Gigabyte GTX660 MSI Z77-MA G45 Here is my config.plist in (SD card)/EFI/CLOVER <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>SMBIOS</key> <dict> <key>BiosVendor</key> <string>Apple Inc.</string> </dict> <key>Boot</key> <dict> <key>Timeout</key> <integer>7</integer> <key>DefaultVolume</key> <string>HDD12345</string> <key>Arguments</key> <string>-v GI=Yes</string> </dict> <key>ACPI</key> <dict> <key>DSDT</key> <dict> <key>Debug</key> <false/> <key>FixMask</key> <string>0x3031</string> <key>DsdtName</key> <string>BIOS</string> <key>Patches</key> <array/> </dict> <key>SSDT</key> <dict> <key>Generate</key> <dict> <key>PStates</key> <true/> <key>CStates</key> <true/> </dict> <key>DropOem</key> <true/> </dict> </dict> <key>GUI</key> <dict> <key>Theme</key> <string>MavStyle</string> <key>TextOnly</key> <false/> <key>Language</key> <string>ru:0</string> <key>Mouse</key> <dict> <key>Enabled</key> <true/> <key>Speed</key> <integer>10</integer> <key>Mirror</key> <false/> <key>DoubleClick</key> <integer>500</integer> </dict> </dict> <key>Graphics</key> <dict> <key>Inject</key> <dict> <key>Intel</key> <false/> <key>ATI</key> <false/> <key>NVidia</key> <true/> </dict> <key>InjectEDID</key> <false/> </dict> <key>KernelAndKextPatches</key> <dict> <key>AppleRTC</key> <true/> <key>AsusAICPUPM</key> <true/> <key>KernelCpu</key> <false/> </dict> <key>Devices</key> <dict> <key>USB</key> <dict> <key>Inject</key> <true/> <key>AddClockID</key> <true/> <key>USBFixOwnership</key> <true/> </dict> <key>PCIRootUID</key> <string>1</string> </dict> <key>RtVariables</key> <dict> <key>MountEFI</key> <true/> </dict> <key>SystemParameters</key> <dict> <key>InjectSystemID</key> <true/> <key>InjectKexts</key> <true/> </dict> </dict> </plist> Any ideas? Thanks! EDIT: SOLVED. Fixed by turning off GraphicsInjector in the bootflags. Still have full accelerationa and it detects my card.
