1. Hi guys, this thread is to show you a new and open source app, created by me, that I called TINU: The name means: TINU Is Not #####, the U refers to a popular software that is used to create Mac OS hackintosh installers (that for good reasons is banned on this forum), but the aim of the name is to explain that this app is a totally different thing from that software and works in a totally different way. This app basically is a graphical interface for the createinstallmedia executable that is inside the Mac OS installer apps, it is capable to create a Mac OS installer on a drive completely vanilla like what you do using the command line method, and also this method is recommended by apple itself. Allows you to create easily a macOS install media without messing around with command line stuff and without using disk utility, all you need to do is use the app and then install clover on the usb drive once TINU has finished or leave it as is you want to use it on a Mac. Features: - Simple to use UI that allows you to easily start the macOS install media creation process - It can work with every Mac OS installer app that has the createinstallmedia executable inside of it's resources folder (including also beta and newly released installers) - You can use any drive or partition you want that can be erased and is at least 7 GB of size - Works on Mac OS recovery, so you can create a macOS install media from a bootable macOS installer or from the macOs recovery - All vanilla, the macOS install medias created with this tool are 100% vanilla, just like you created them using the command line "createinstallmedia" method - Open source, you will know what this program does on your computer and also you can create your own version by downloading and playing with the source code - Does not requires to do anything of special first, just open the program - No need to go in disk utility first, TINU can format your drive for you - Uses recent and more modern APIs and SDKs and Swift 3 language - Transparent graphics style available (use alt + s on the keyboard or View->Use transparent style) - Works using the latest versions of macOS and will also support newer Mac installers out of the box without needing for an update Features that I'd like to add in the future: - Advanced section, to customize your macOS install media - Installer customization: Kernelcache/prelinkedknerel and boot files replacement (a feature that can be handy while dealing with old Macs or with beta installers when you need to mod or change the boot files some times) - Install clover and configure clover - Install kexts inside the kexts folder of clover - Clover drivers customization - Use custom dsdt in clover - integrated pre-made clover config templates database from a remote and open repository - Support for other languages, at least Italian Rquirements: - A computer that runs Mac OS X Yosemite or a more recent version (Mac OS X El Capitan is required to use TINU in a macOS recovery or installer) - A drive or a free partition of at least 7 GB that you want to turn into a macOS/Mac OS X installer - A copy of a macOS/Mac OS X installer app (Maveriks or newer versions are supported) in the /Applications folder or in the root of any storage drive in your machine (excepted the drive or volume you want to turn into your macOS install media) Note that this app is under the GNU GPL v3 license so any reuse of the source code must follow the license's terms TINU 1.1 Stable release: - Download available here: https://github.com/ITzTravelInTime/TINU/releases - Source code: https://github.com/ITzTravelInTime/TINU TINU 2.0 pre-release: - Download available here: https://github.com/ITzTravelInTime/TINU/tree/development - Source code: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/nvzss51qcieynve/TINU.zip Frequently asked questions about TINU: https://github.com/ITzTravelInTime/TINU/wiki/FAQs NOTE: if you have problems with your USB installer of 10.13.4 or newer version not being detected by clover you have to use the latest clover and if it still does not detectets your usb installer you have to remove the invivible file called .IAPhysicalMedia located into the root of the usb installer. This issue is caused by a changement in the apple's createinstallmedia, don't blame TINU for that, tinu does only uses the installer creation method from apple, which has been changed, causing this problem for hackintosh users, this issue should be resolved in the latest versions of clover which will no longer require that you do changements to let your usb dive to be detected, a setting to do this fix automatically in tinu is also comeing in a new pre-release of TINU 2 I leave also some screenshots as well

4. Hi guys i am releasing to you my new mac app, this app can be used to edit or create custom versions of the voodoo tsc sync kext, i have created it because i have seen many times peoples having troubles in finding the right version of voodoo tsc sync for their cpu, so i created a mac app that lets to edit or create a voodoo tsc kext and configure it for your system, i have included 3 ways to edit the kext: 1) configure using one of the existing templates (just chose one of the cpu models listed) 2) specifying the number of cores 3) manually editing the info.plist of the kext using the editor (still experimental, needs some improvements) This app uses a copy of the VoodooTSCSync in his Resourches folder, or you can open an existing version of VoodooTSC and edit it, there are some other useful features to discover, and new ideas are also welcome to improve this program, i know that with a plist editor you can do what this app does, but this is designed to be more user friendly than editing a plist file manually and just for accomplish the task of configuring this kext for your machines without looking on the web for that specific pre-configured version you need, just download this program and follow a few steps. Download: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/68e5nd85rf3wjko/VoodooTSCSync%20Configurator.zip Download from insanelymac downloads: http://www.insanelymac.com/…/744-voodootscsync-configurator/ System requirements: Any mac or hackintosh with Mac OS X Yosemite or more recent mac os x version EDIT: New update available, new graphics design and amd support added, the link is the same as before
5. Hello Friendly people here at Insanely Mac, I have successfully managed to install Sierra 10.12.4 on my system (yay!). Everything is working well and this would be the best install I have ever done on any one of my machines, going all the way back to Snow Leopard. HOWEVER, I cannot get Kaspersky to install, no worries, I installed Norton (after paying for a different subscription x.x); after the program installed I proceeded to install my other software but not until I reboot my system of course, heres the issue that I can't wrap my mind around, mostly every time I install new software and reboot my machine, my monitors never display an image and I have to boot into a bootloader and start up without any nvidia driver then reinstall my drivers again for me to have a successful boot up. I've searched google for any one having this issue and came up empty handed, can anyone help me out with this? I've also noticed that when I try to boot without reinstalling the drivers, it takes a considerably longer time to progress though the bar (maybe this has an effect as well?) My specs are: Intel i7 2600k (unlocked), 16gb DDR3 Mem, EVGA Nvidia GTX 980ti, with an Asrock z68 extreme7 Gen3 mainboard. This isn't a life threatening bug but it is getting a little annoying having the reinstall my nvidia drivers over and over after every install of something new. Thanks everyone for your anticipated support and help along the way

Is there any notes app using like reading app, so I could read my notes easily. I used iPhone system note, Evernote, PlainText etc, any suggestions?
10. Hello, I have a problem getting the installer to load I have done the install method (http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/289062-109-mavericks-simple-vanilla-hackintosh-install-guide/) Short desc: the bootloader is Enoch-chameleon r2748, on GPT/HFS+, for legacy bios The issue is when I boot the install usb drive, it starts in verbose, then a gray screen with the rainbow-mouse shows up, and hangs on there. @native resolution. The installation screen doesn't show up I have searched on google before posting I have previously used this method with Mountain Lion 10.8.5 and it worked fine, I think there's somethin wrong with the loading process of it: when i did the same on ML, it worked My Specz: GA z77m D3H motherboard (F14 rom Bios&Uefi modes) Intel i7-2600 SandyBridge (no oc, all settings stock) AMD R7-265 (Sapphire Dual-X) 8GB ram (2x4 1333) Display Dell 22' on main gpu DVI out HD Wd CV green 1Tb/ SSD transcend 64GB Detailed desc. My motherboard series is known to work OOTB, and it does on Yosemite, better on ML. The usb will boot even without kext and other mods, Are added fakesmc, dsdt, acpi patch, libc, libc++ from Enoch. I used cameleon instead of clover (will try when installed on HD) because it crashes on my Virtualbox VM (osx 10.11), also crash creating uefi partitions. Bios settings seems to be correct.. Boot args: >/Kernel (to load original kernel (10.10, also 10.11 works) from usb root/kernel) >/Kernel -F -x -v dart=0 acpi=0 pcirootuid=1 graphicsenabler=no (dont help )

Apps crash right after launch

I'm new to hackintoshing, and fortunately I was able to install and boot niresh 10.9 on my AMD laptop with little resistance. Now i'm faced with a new problem. Some apps crash right after launch like photobooth, chess and most importantly the ios simulator app in xcode. I read that if QE/CI isn't able to run you wouldn't be able to move chess pieces or something, but I can't even open the app. So i'm unsure if it's related to my cause. Help would be very appreciated.
14. Disclaimer: This is my app, not sure about the rules on promotional threads on InsanelyMac. I don't normally post threads about my own stuff, but I thought this would be pretty useful to the Hackintosh community. InsanelyMac & TonyMacx86 have helped me so much. So I went from W7 (which had a multitude of great apps for dealing with more than one monitor like Ultramon) to an OS X Lion Hackintosh, which I loved infinitely more but apparently didn't work too well out of the box with a multiple monitor setup. A bit about my setup for anyone who cares: Mobo: ASUS P6T CPU: i7 920 GPU: GTX 470 SLI (ugh, huge headache not knowing how to do EFI strings) RAM: 6GB OCZ Gold Monitors: 2x 24" Samsung SyncMasters. =========================== Here's my attempt at dealing with the multiple monitor problem: Multimon. (<- Click to view in App Store) Features: • Multiple Menu Bars ⁃ Should work for any number of monitors, the max I was able to test up to was 3 though. (Hackintoshers with 9 monitor setups, please let me know ). • Advanced Window Management ⁃ You're more productive with another monitor but nobody wants to drag windows left and right. Easily send a window to any of your monitors via a drop down or a hotkey. Maximize or minimize too! • Automatic Window Resizing ⁃ A lot of us hackintoshers don't have the luxury of matching dual cinema displays . This'll automatically resize windows that are too large onto smaller monitors. • Hotkeys ⁃ Pretty customizable hotkeys for a bunch of the features listed above as well as quickly hiding all menu bars, etc. So yup, that's it. You can tweet me for support / feedback at @delveapps. Chat with me about hackintosh / apps / design / tech / anything at @aaronykng . Hope you guys find it useful. Look forward to hearing what you guys think.
15. Hi again. So when i finally got my Hackintosh running on my AMD computer i quickly noticed some apps crash when i launch them. I think all native Apple apps works (including Finder). Since Finder works perfectly I assume no 32bit app works. I googled around and saw that a lot off people have this problem on Hackintosh but no real solution other than re-installing your system. I currently run my Mac with: UseKernelCache=amd arch=i386 But I can also run it with -force64 instead of arch=i386 but that does not fix my problem. I have even tried using both at the same time. I will edit this post with picture off the error but I'm currently installing my OSX again.
16. I'm not a programmer. Far from it. I did create a script one time that allowed me to rotate my mac desktop 90 degrees to match my rotating monitor stand, but that's about it, and I only did it because I was too lazy to go into display settings. I have an idea for an hackintosh app that I think could be quite popular. I would prefer not to share the specifics in an open forum - I would hate for someone to come out with something similar before me, but as far as I know this would be a mac/hackintosh first. Obvious in tune with the spirit of hackintosh, this would be a free program. I am good with graphics, so that would be my contribution (as well as having a popular website to brand it and distribute it from). Let me know if you're interested and how comfortable you are with coding, hopefully there is someone out there who is interested! PM for details! (Note to moderators: I couldn't find anything in the rules about this sort of request, and since this isn't a for-profit venture I figured it would be ok. Please let me know if it's not! Thanks for all your hard work!)
17. how many old versions should my app be compatible with? so far im thinking just iOS5, and iOS6, since I've read that close to 90% of all iOS users update their devices. and when iOS7 comes out, for future apps and versions should i let the app be backwards compatible with iOS5? given that the original iPad and iPhone 3G is going to be stuck with iOS5. does people know how the percentage of people using older devices? how long will i have to be able to support these older devices and OS?
18. After another developer I'm working with sent me the new version he made adjustments to, i get a linker errors in my Xcode, i know i have fixe this before, but i forgot. can anyone guide me to the solution?? heres the screen shot of it i've replaced the T1Autograph signature folder but i still get an error saying "directory not found" and replaced the libdtdev.a (linea pro SDK) just to see if it did anything and it didn't does anyone know a solution?
19. I'm trying to have a modal view controller that i call programmatically. heres my code: - (IBAction)searchView:(id)sender { GlobalStrings* theDataObject = [self theGlobalClass]; if (theDataObject.presentSearch == nil) { UIStoryboard *storyboard = [uIStoryboard storyboardWithName:@"MainStoryboard" bundle:nil]; UIViewController *vc = [storyboard instantiateViewControllerWithIdentifier:@"SearchBarViewController"]; [vc setModalPresentationStyle:UIModalPresentationFullScreen]; [self presentModalViewController:vc animated:YES]; } UIStoryboard *storyboard = [uIStoryboard storyboardWithName:@"MainStoryboard" bundle:nil]; UIViewController *vc = [storyboard instantiateViewControllerWithIdentifier:@"SearchBarViewController"]; [vc setModalPresentationStyle:UIModalPresentationFullScreen]; } i get a sigbart error, is it because the view controller I'm calling is a navigation controller? i also have a similar method in my "ViewWillAppear" for my log in screen.
20. Hello, I have recently started to learn developing apps for iOS, and am now facing a question. I have to develop an app for a fashion company. And they gave me this as an example of what they expect from their app - looks, feel and features: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/pronovias/id413293980?mt=8 I am now wondering if this is written in XCode of Flash/AIR , because the way their iOS apps look, especially the IPad one, mimick with great success their website, which uses flash extensively. So , if anyone here is so kind, please advise me - what is your opinion on this matter? And also, if this is XCode, can you point me to a resource of tutorials on building such an interface? Thank you all
21. I have installed Lion on Vmware and due to good performance I have decided to install natively on the computer using this method: http://tonymacx86.bl...lion-using.html My machine: Intel Desktop Board DH67B Intel Core i3-2100 Processor (3M Cache, 3.10 GHz) The video is integrated on the motherboard Samsung S19A300 18.5 inch Widescreen LED Monitor Two Kingston of 4GB DDR3 PC3-10700 1333MHz But I have some questions: 1. What would be the choices I make in [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url]?
