  1. Haven't grazed here since building my Compaq hackintosh couple years back..works pretty well on snow Leopard minus quartz/ce. I'm in the process of putting together a desktop, and am now just wondering what's involved in getting it running OSX. Unfortunately, I've already bought the processor, which is a Phenom II X 4, (socket 3/3+) and I understand AMD is much more difficult to set up, particularly with the newer OS's. Having not yet purchased a motherboard, though, is it known which type might be most promising? Again, I need micro ATX form factor, and also want to be able to support up to 16gig memory (e.g. 8gig/slot). Thanks a bunch...
  2. I recently acquired a Mac Pro 1,1 and got OS X El Capitan running on it. Only issue I have run into, and could not fix with hours a googling is getting my Sapphire HD 5450 to work. As you can see in the picture it says no kext installed, Just trying to figure out what I am doing wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I an a noobie to Mac(for the most part). I have tried following guides for adding device ID and cannot get it working for me.

  5. Im having issues with this particular graphics card...I bought this card for my father as on my mackintosh it worked out of the box....On his however after installation and restart I make it past the apple logo then go straight to a white screen where it stays with no cursor....However if I boot into safe mode and remove amd6000controller.kext then restart I can get to the desktop with very laggy graphics that are horrible.........Ive tried copying amdcontroller6000.kext to the desktop, deleting it from S/L/E and reinstalling it-that actually worked one time but every icon in launchpad was red...After that one successful restart it immediately started freezing at the white screen again....I am a noob to the mackintosh world so if anyone could please help me with instructions on as to how to fix this I d greatly appreciate it so much ,,as I also have to fix the ethernet afterwards....thank you.....Another thing-I am using the dvi connection My cards family is Northern islands and codename Caicos Update:just in case this may help someone somewhere,,,I gave up on the hd6450 in an amd machine and switched to a sapphire hd5450....It worked perfect after using KhatPhats 5450 kexts

ASUS G73 with 5870M: Resolution Troubles

I have almost everything working, but I cannot get resolution changes to work with my video card. It messes up and I get like 4 duplicate desktops showing on my LVDS. I tried EDID overrides but to no avail. I am guessing this is a video driver issue, but I have no idea what to change in order to correct this. I tried different but similar framebuffers but they do not help at all. Mavericks is very slow

I have Mavericks set up with the latest kernel from Andy, this one: SinetekBronzovkAnVoodoo v2.0.0:xnu-2422.1.72-AMD/BUILD/obj/RELEASE_X86_64 x86_64 It installed correctly and boots correctly, but, it is extremely slow. I have almost 100% of my CPU being used constantly, as well as my RAM. Is there something I may have done wrong or is this a common error?
  8. A year ago, I built a AMD based computer. It has a Athalon ii x4 640, ASUS M4A78T-E motherboard, 20GB RAM, and a ATI Radeon HD 4550. I have successfully hackintoshed it using iAtkos V7, and have a installed system. However, the darn thing won't boot without safe mode. When I boot without safe mode, it just goes to a white screen instead of the login screen. To boot the installer I did cpus=1 busratio=24 arch=i386 -force64 -f if it helps. I think that this is a deriver issue. Can anybody get me going in the right direction to fix this? Thanx.

    About : AMD Radeon HD6320

Hi everyone, I finally got my HP Pavilion dm1-4136sf (AMD E-450 processor) working on Mac OSX 10.9. Now I'm trying to find some kexts to get the display working properly. The matter is that my graphic card is an AMD Radeon HD6320, and I head that for some reasons it is complicated to find kext for it. I tried the kext AMDRadeon6000.kext, but seems not to be loaded when booting according to Kext Wizard (in loaded kext interface). Does anyone has any clue ?
