Hello there, I want to start this topic because I know there are many hardware shipping last generation Intel cards, which incorporates 2,4 and 5 GHz bands. I could be posible to make it work with help of the community. There are currently two projects attempting to fix these wifi chipsets, but they doesn't work, they only show version of firmware of the card or attempt to load it. These are based on Linux drivers https://github.com/ammulder/AppleIntelWiFiMVM/releases/ These are based on FreeBSD drivers https://github.com/bjornefitte/IntelWifiPort I'm not a very experienced programmer, but I can help, and I have hardware to test, I got a Intel 3165. However, bluetooth works with some issues. It can connect with my Android and browse its contents, permitting to download and upload files.
Anyone use this adapter before? I have it and works great on my windows side and I can get the connection of 867 mbps but when I boot into El Captain (10.11.6) I can only get a connection rate of 300 mbps . .. I installed various different versions of the software driver and used its uninstaller as well to try and keep it clean but just wont connect no higher! Argh.. I contacted their support and no help at all.. first responce took 11 days and 3 emails.. Still have heard nothing back since I responded to them and its been 20 days now.. Anyhow Could there be a conflict or something with my old usb wifi dongle? If so how would I go about deleting its Kexts drivers? Here is some pics.. Other wise it works great.. I just want the full speed of it Help please.
macbrush posted a topic in LAN and WirelessSince Apple's launched the new Macbook Air mid 2013, we finally got a wifi-ac option. People have confirmed that the WiFi part of the chipset is bcm4360, so I wonder anyone have tried any PCI-e cards out there using the same chipset? I checked the latest 10.8.4 from app store, and the driver isn't there yet, I also looked at 10.9 DP1, though there is a AirPortBrcm4360.kext, but it required many dependencies that don't exist in 10.8.4. I already have an ac card runs 4360 chipset (ven: 14e4 dev: 43a0 rev.3), and I want to experiment whether it would work on a hackintosh with a proper driver. So I am looking for new Macbook Air owner who would kindly help by sending out their IONetworkingFamily.kext and IO80211Family.kext Thanks a million in advance
