  1. Hi everyone, sorry to bother you (again). I have an LG AN WF-100 Wireless dongle kicking around in the closet and I was wondering whether I could use this with Mac OS X (It would save me $10 which I know doesn't sound like much but it's money all the same). Are there any drivers for it? If so could you please share them with the community. Thanks in advance, - Matt
  2. Hi guys. I've bought BCM94331CSAX with PCIeX1 adapter for this combo being the chipest and for reasons I don't really need fastest WiFi possible. Heck my router is still 54g Anyway I was lucky and card and adaptor seems to came flawless. Since I am using MacPro3,1 SMBIOS I was not getting Handoff and few other OOB and had to apply CAT which enabled everything. Then I've found that BT signal level is really low. BT speaker i have is dropping sound like crazy if put more then two meters from antenna. While researching a bit I have found that middle connector on the card is for BT. Also I've found that turning WiFi on card off is greatly improving RSSI of Bluetooth connection – my BT speaker can be as far as 5-6 meteres after that. Also turning off router (with WiFI in 2.4GHz) do the same — improves RSS of BT. So my question is can you guys with those cards in topic attest to my finding. Or correct them because now I wonder if CD (iMac) versions of the cards are better in regards of simultanious work of BT and WiFi since those cards are actually bigger themselves. Thank you P.S. Screenshots shows how turning WiFI off improves BT connection
  3. Hi all, Thanks to some of the wonderful guides here, I've gotten most of my machine working. One of the things that aren't working is the WiFi module on my motherboard. If I disable the module in the BIOS, everything goes smoothly, but if I enable it, this appears: http://imgur.com/ylYix1I Additional Information: Motherboard: Rampage IV Black Edition CPU: i7-4930k GPU: R9 290X Operating System: OS X Yosemite Beta 3 installed with Clover I've installed the following kexts: AppleIntelE1000e FakeSMC GenericUSBXHCI VoodooTSCSync I've also installed the two SSDT's from rampagedev which are related to my motherboard and my CPU, removing or adding the SSDT's don't appear to affect the panic: SSDT.aml for my Rampage IV Black Edition with AMD Graphics: https://www.dropbox.com/s/p78osq4j5l668gb/SSDT.aml?dl=0 SSDT-1.aml for my 4930k stock CPU: https://www.dropbox.com/s/wjg4ika9prakmey/SSDT-1.aml?dl=0 Please tell me if I can provide more information to help you help me!
  4. Hi all, I'm testing OS X Yosemite 10.10 Beta 3 on my Lenovo Y5109P. So far I'm up and running the basics but not the WiFi. I replaced my stock WiFi card to one that is supported by OS X and put IO80211Family.kext in EFI/Clover/kexts/10.10. OS X reads my WiFi card but can't see any of the available networks so can't connect to internet. I've searched and found this topic where the problem is found for DP4 and the solution was to replace the kext with another version that worked with DP3. I thought to test this kext but then OS X couldn't even turn on WiFi. I know Yosemite is still in Beta, have some bugs, and have some changes that needs update on our side to catch up. But did any one had this problem with 10.10 beta 3 and was able to solve it? My specs in my signature. I use Clover EFI as mentioned. Kind Regards Ahmed

    TP-Link TL-WN722N WiFi

I purchased a TP Link TL-WN722n for use with my SP1 running 10.11 after confirming it works with osx 10.6-10.11 but Of course I received version 1 which does not have native drivers. It uses the AR9271 chipset. .V2 uses the RTL8188EUS , V2 is also the one with manufacture drivers.. Any way the AR9271 can be used with 10.11? or should I just return it and hope to get a v2 next time?
  6. Hello, I recently set up a new modem/wireless router combination in part to have the convenience of a hard drive accessible on my network. Unfortunately I've been sorely disappointed by the transfer speeds to the drive. Here is all the relevant information I can think of: Router: Linksys EA6300 AC1200 Modem: ARRIS / Motorola SurfBoard SB6141 DOCSIS 3.0 Hard Drive: Seagate Packup Pluss 8TB USB 3.0 (STDT8000100) Laptop: MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012), OS X 10.11.4 Download speeds are 50-90Mbps, here is a link to a test I did while writing this: http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/5315226729 Also the router is sitting below the desk my laptop is usually on, so they are literally feet apart from each other. The primary source of speed disappointment has been with torrents through Vuze. With the hard drive connected via USB port, total download speeds were usually 5-8 MB/s, and now they only rarely get up to 1 MB/s and are often in the area of 50KB/s. Does anyone know of anything I can do to improve upon this? Thanks
  7. Sierra won't recognize my Asus PCE-AC56 WiFi card and Im trying to find out what to do to fix it. I looked on Asus site but they only have windows drivers. I have also seen some posts on TonyMac but they don't really help me and the one they suggest is a program that has malware in it. Can anyone help me? I have an Asus X99-A motherboard and an intel 5820k processor.
  8. I have an HP Elitebook 8460P running High Sierra 10.13.1 I'm trying to get wifi working, my internal wifi as far as i can tell is not mac compatible, its a intel centrino wireless I also cant change my wifi card, the elitebook i have only accepts a few different cards or it wont boot past post if it is changed. Also i have managed to brick the system a few times attempting different kext or pkgs. I cant seem to figure it out for high sierra. I have a WiFi USB RTL8188CUS, that i had working in Yosemite 10.10 using a 10.9 pkg. but as far as i can tell 10.11 El Capitan was the last driver support for the card, and doesnt work in 10.13.1. the wifi utility wont open to connect to a network. Is there a possible way to get this card working, or do i need to buy a new wifi usb. If i do need a new one what would be a good one to buy? i need it to have 10.13.1 driver support and be usb also not be to expensive, N300 is good enough but i do have an AC1750 router. Im fairly new to getting Mac running on Intel Based PCs. any help would be greatly appreciated. I got it working but it sometimes randomly disconnects me from wifi and wont reconnect until a reboot. The kext i used was for 10.11 El Capitan. i was just using the El Capitan only kext before and not the multi edition kext. Attached is the utility and kext i used. So i still need help but i have made a little progress RTL8188CUS 10.11 WiFi.zip
