  1. I'm really a noob to this, so forgive me if I ask stupid questions. I really think I just need guidance that I'm heading in the right direction. I used Fuision71au's guide along with some others on the internet to get a Virtualbox VM up and running and imessage working using clover. I'd like to run this on more of my pc's including some AMD FX based ones. My thought was that I could boot the VM on intel, make the changes necessary for AMD and then copy it over to the AMD machine. My understanding is that I need to swap the kernel out for the AMD kernel. I have the kernel and I know it goes into /System/Library/Kernels. 1. I can't just copy the kernel in, because it tells me that the operation is not permitted. I've tried using csrutil disable booted into recovery but it doesn't stick. I'm not sure why. It reverts to enabled after reboot. Is there another way to get the Kernel copied over to /System/Library/Kernels ? 2. Assuming I can get the kernel copied over I believe I need to make some changes to config.plist. I've found this post but honestly, I'm not sure what these do. I'd like to understand what needs to be in config.plist in order to get the AMD kernel to work properly. Is there a good guide to what the AMD kernel options and requirements are? Am I on the right track? Is there any knowledge or guideance or silver bullet you could tell me to get this working? Any assistance is appreciated.
  2. I have downloaded Kalyway 10.5.2 and installed it on VirtualBox. After successfully installed when i reboot virtual machine its not booting. Its showing a EFI shell comand promt. What should i do?
  3. Despite my setting the video memory in Virtualbox to the maximum, at 128MB, my Mountain Lion VM only shows in the System Profiler as supporting 5MB of video memory, and whatever I do I can't seem to get it to actually support 128MB in practice. After doing a lot of research, I believe this is what's causing Mountain Lion's graphics to be really laggy. Window minimizing and maximizing from the dock is choppy, and the dock magnification is flickering as well. Flash player objects and Top Sites in Safari also flash and stutter with lots of white. The Applications folder, which I've placed in the dock, is jerky when it opens. Launchpad is barely usable. I've tried searching around the internet for answers -- specifically for Mountain Lion virtual machine installs -- but I can't find anything useful. For what it's worth, I have an Acer Aspire V3-771G-9875, equipped with Intel Core i7-3610qm quad core processor and Intel HD4000 integrated graphics + NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M. I also have Snow Leopard 10.6.2 and 10.6.8 (clone + update) installed as virtual machines on Virtualbox. 10.6.2's System Profiler shows up correctly as supporting 128MB of VRAM, but the updated clone (10.6.8) only shows up as supporting 3MB of VRAM. However, it doesn't matter as much to me, since Snow Leopard runs smoothly as a VM either way.) As for the sluggish Mountain Lion VM, does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix it? Thanks.
  4. I got the following error while installing Mountain Lion 10.8 OS X (.iso) with virtualbox by Hackboot: "Unable to find driver for this platform : \"ACPI\" .\n"@SourceCache/xnu/xnu-2050.7.9/iit/Kernel/IOPlatFormExpert.cpp:1546 Please help me out. I am using Intel i5 gen 2, 4gb ram, windows 8 (64-bit).
