  1. Hello! Need help with my old hackintosh. Updated after many years of using 1.0.6.8, because old hard drive has stopped working. All kext's installed, system works. But restart and shutdown is not working properly. What happens when you click turn off? The screen is turns off, the hard drive with audibly clicks also shutdown. But coolers, reducing the momentum continue spinning and the power turns off after 20-30 seconds, sometimes it is necessary to disconnect power supply via the button (on the power supply). When you restart, same thing happens, but hard drive doesn't shutdown. Config: OSX 10.11.6 P5KPL-AM IN ROEM SI Intel Xeon E5430 771> 775 (without overclocking) Nvidia GT220 512, 128bit (1360x768 *) 2x2 GB 800Mhz Seagate 1TB 7200 RPM Kext's: FakeSMC.kext VoodooPS2Controller.kext CPUSensors.kext GPUSensors.kext LPCSensors.kext SpeedStep working now. old bootlog 31.08.2016 Bootlog.txt FixShutDown and many others clover settings not helped. I would be grateful for any help. Sorry for bad English!.

    [Aiuto] Ottimizzazione sistema

Grazie a tutti anticipatamente DSDT-IOreg.zip
  4. First of all, thanks for all the info from this forum! Some hardware info: AMD Phenom X4 ASUS M3N-HT Deluxe 8GB DDR2 RAM Nvidia GTX 465 I installed using nawcomModCD and a 10.6.3 Disc. After installation, updated to 10.6.8 with full updater. Ran ###### to set up bootloader and some kexts. Ended up rolling back IONetworkingFamily and USB kexts to keep my usb ports and ethernet port working. Found a VoodooHDA kext to work with the audio chip "ADI AD1988" Installed tonymacx86 NVIDIA Update to get graphics going on the 465. Installed kernel "voodoobuild-AnV-0.4.1" by andyvand to fix crash issues launching some programs. Here is my org.chameleon.Boot.plist <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>Kernel</key> <string>mach_kernel2</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>-force64 arch=i386 PCIRootUID=1 debug=0x100</string> <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Timeout</key> <string>1</string> </dict> </plist> System runs great! Was even playing some Team Fortress 2 on it yesterday and it appears to be solid as a rock! So here are my remaining problems: 1. When I shutdown the computer my USB ports stay powered up. 2. When the computer goes to sleep, the fans are still running. 3. When the computer boots, and after the grey apple, all I get on my monitor is a light blue screen. But! when I turn on my TV (which doubles as a secondary monitor) my main monitor suddenly fades into the OSX desktop, at which point I can turn off the TV. [The Monitor is connected via DVI dual link and runs at 1920x1080@120hz, the TV is connected via HDMI] That's it really, minor things i guess, but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask! Thanks! -Metheos
  5. Hi All; I've been trying to find a resolution to a couple of issues i'm having with a new installation of Mavericks (10.9.4) using the Clover (current Version) bootloader on a GA-Z87N-WIFI board. The system in general is performing well; however when asking the system to shutdown or restart, the OS goes through the process (it seems) then the computer turns off (both at shutdown or restart) and then turns back on again - When the OS loads, it advises it didn't shutdown correctly. Wake on LAN is disabled in the BIOS and disabled via the Energy Saving Preferences. Second issue is with the OS turning the displays off. I had this setting on at 5 mins - at this time the displays turn off, but when wanting to wake the displays up (via normal methods), I get nil response - however, the computer doesn't seem to be frozen. Any idea's would be most helpful. Thanks in advance!
  6. As you can see in the title my Hack restarts automatically after shutting down telling me that the computer rebooted because of a problem... My MB is a Gigabyte Z87 D3HP, I've got a GTX 650 and a i5 processor. I use Clover as my BootLoader and use the attached config file and I don't use dsdt. If I should provide more info please let me know as this is my first post on this forum Thanks in advance report.txt config.plist.txt DarwinDumper_2.9.8_AMI_X64_3241_Yos_ClemaX.zip
  7. After switching to clover using 14,2. I've been experiencing some random KP's that come out of nowhere. After looking into it I think it may be caused by the process "Google Chrome Helper". (Chrome is usually running when I experience the shutdown). Would anyone be able to point me in the right direction to fix this ? Thanks! 8. 9. Hi, I am experiencing an unusual problem, using a new SSD, when i start my system in verbose mode everything works perfectly. As soon as i boot normally, sleep and shutdown will not work fully. I have tried slowing it down with <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>-v darkwake=0 debug=8 ahcidisk=1</string> but unless i use the -v at the chameleon boot screen the problem persist. Any suggestions anyone?

    Sleep Shutdown Problem Asus S451LB

Hello everyone, can you help me to fix sleep and shutdown issue on ASUS laptop. Because its really strange, sometime my laptop can sleep and shutdown, but sometime when i press sleep option, the display goes blank, but the indicator power is on (cant wake), so i must hard boot to force shutdown. I'm attached that DSDT and SSDT file (origin and patched) if you can see what's wrong with my patch. And i'm attach the config.plist too. I hope someone can help me to fix this issue. Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad english. PROBLEM.zip config.plist.zip
  11. Testing the waters on my new Z170 build based off the entry level board and the Intel 6th gen i7-6700K. I was intending to complete the build, have it up & running smoothly before beginning this post. But I've run into problems where no amount of reading into Pike R. Alpha's post nor Google is helping. So here I am. Reading around I got to downloading the 10.11.4 from Apple cause the Skylake build it appears needed that. Made the bootable with Clover-on-it-USB. Clover strangely would not install. Showed complete progress but at the end I had no EFI partition mounted on my desktop which meant it was not okay. Naturally I was doing a UEFI only install. Learnt of needing to run "nvram -c" command in the terminal without quotes and the command to format the EFI partition as FAT32 & repeated the process & it succeeded. Now I had the Monitor (LP2065) connected via DVI to the onboard video. I got the display on BIOS and the first thing I did was to flash latest F7 BIOS. Rebooted and set the values I thought were okay. Among the new ones was the APIC numbered setting that I disabled. But as I later found enabling did not change anything. I already had few edits in the config.plist. (a.) The patch for USB port limit (b.) Skylake graphics patch (c.) IOGraphicsFamly patch (for taking care of the second stage glitch). In verbose mode the USB Stick booted right up. It was throwing a few unfamiliar messages but the installer booted okay. Without much fuss I had the Samsung 850EVO connected and so installed on it. Went through quite fast compared to my older install on Z97-4790K system. Rebooted SSD and installed clover on it & it worked right away. Time to look into the Power Management side of things. the ssdtprgen Beta script downloads and works and also makes a SSDT.aml file. But the thing appears to do nothing. I placed it in ACPI patched and rebooted. Checked with the Intel Power Gadget idles at about 1.6 Ghz (1.51 Ghz to be lowest) at 25º C. Loading the CPU with the dummy yes command in terminal (single instance) takes CPU to 4.0 Ghz with temps at 40º and 6 more instances make the CPU reach 55º. Subsequently killing all yes instances bring CPU idle back to 1.57 Ghz. So I tired to install plugins to FaleSMC (HWSensors) and used Istatmenus. It showed identical values. I believe HWmonitor would too since I have seen it behave similarly in the past. Next option left to check was the AppleIntelInfo kext from Pike R. Alpha. Here is where I get lost The thing does not output anything in the terminal or the console. I swear in the early days of building the 4790K system I had the results in terminal. Now nothing. No error messages nothing. So as things stand - power management is incomplete. System idles at 1.5 Ghz instead of 800 Mhz and turbo boosts to 4.0Ghz. at least what IntelPowerGadget V 3.0.3 tells me. The presence of SSDT does not change anything. But speed stepping is working regardless of its state in the BIOS, enabled or disabled.. So friends any ideas? EDIT:1 - Just checked - sleep not working yet
