Andy Vandijck posted a topic in LAN and WirelessI improved the driver originally made by Mieze. I added a setting in the Info.plist making it possible to change the MAC address of the card. It really works great and fast. I also optimized it to build as kext module with module support. Enjoy Source is included, tested under Yosemite. EDIT: New version. I added a userclient with a preference pane. Now it is possible to change the MAC address on-the-fly using the settings pane. EDIT2: I added a Github page. https://github.com/andyvand/RTL8111 RTL8111_driver_for_OS_X.zip

New Driver for Realtek RTL8111 Anybody who is looking for a add-on network card with Realtek NIC might want to consider the Delock 89357. This card is equipped with a RTL8111E-VL (chipset 16) which is known to work perfectly with my driver because this chipset is my primary test device.
Hackintosh2000 posted a topic in LAN and WirelessI have an Asus CG5290 desktop that has a gimped Rampage II Gene motherboard. It has Realtek RTL8168C ethernet. My hackintosh was doing well until Lion 10.7.2. It could get onto the internt with nothing more than IONetworkingFamily.kext. Upon updating from 10.7.2 to 10.7.4 I lost my internet connection. I got Lnx2Mac's Realtek RTL81xx Driver to load and in the system profile it shows my Realtek LAN interface but I can't get ethernet to show up in the system settings menu. Any ideas? Oddly LAN and ethernet work in Mountain Lion with Lnx2Mac's Realtek RTL81xx Driver. I'm baffled. Maybe while installing and uninstalling kexts I mixed something up. Does anyone have a Lion 10.7.4 IONetworkingFamily.kext I can download in case I have the wrong one.
