Boot.plist <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>Credits</key> <string>Niresh12495</string> <key>EthernetBuiltIn</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Graphics Mode</key> <string>"1920x1080x32"</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>-f npci=0x2000 dart=0</string> <key>KeyLayout</key> <string>mac-fr</string> <key>QuietBoot</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Theme</key> <string>DType</string> <key>Timeout</key> <string>3</string> <key>USBBusFix</key> <string>y</string> <key>UseKernelCache</key> <string>Yes</string> </dict> </plist> Et voilà
  2. - Where to start?: A nice guide on how to create your own USB installer is provided here: http://www.insanelym...-for-beginners/ I do recommend using this method: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/302220-pandoras-box-20-candidate-3-roll-out/ It's self-explanatory. If you only run Windows at the moment, install OS X into a virtual machine, and follow the guide from there. - What will not work?: - Wifi, you will have to replace the card, i switched mine with an Atheros 9285. Note: After replacing, your Bluetooth will not work anymore, so an USB Wifi device would be the better option perhaps. - Card reader, no solution for this at the moment. - Nvidia GT 650M, the card has been completely disabled in the DSDT. If this is not done it will make your system freeze on startup if the NVDA* and GeForce* kexts are not removed. Also, the system will overheat if it is not disabled. Since you can not use the card, it is best to disable it. - Wake from sleep, the display does not wake up. This has been fixed in the new DSDT attached to this post. - HDMI out. Requires patching of the AppleIntelFramebufferCapri to enable AAPL,ig-platform-id 0x03. On every update of OS X you will need to patch this file again before rebooting. Not patching or editing the DSDT before reboot will result in a black screen. New patch enables HDMI audio out and corrects the vram to 512mb. - What will partially work?: - Touchpad, recognized as trackpad, only basic input, no gestures like 2 finger scrolling. - Audio, LineIn and the subwoofer will not work. - FN keys, for Audio and Wifi FN keys for brightness have been fixed. - USB 3.0, depends if you want compatibility with USB 2.0 flash drives. Both devices work. Booting with GenericUSBXHCI, have not tested without it. - Lan, only with specific settings. Official Realtek driver. Realtek Driver. - So...What does work?: - Speedstep - Sleep, patched IntelCPUPowerManagement or an unlocked bios. - Intel HD4000, DSDT injection, patched AGPM. (Need to explore) - Audio, line out, speakers, HDMI and internal mic, DSDT injection and a patched AppleHDA. - Battery status, ACPIBatteryManager and DSDT edit. Corrections have been made in the DSDT attached. - Webcam - Brightness control, in system preferences. - 1. Pre-Installation. - Download the EFI15022015.zip from this post and place it on your desktop. When you opened Pandora's Box, select bootloader > Clover UEFI, click start. I had some issues with Pandora installing the bootloader. - When Pandora is done download Clover configurator, select mount EFI, on the bottom right corner, Mount EFI partition, and select the USB s1 (disk2s1 in most cases). - Open folder, it will be empty, just copy the EFI folder to that partition. - 2. Installation. Boot from the USB installer, it will boot in verbose mode, if any error occurs, you can take a photo of it and attach it to a post here. First you need to prepare the HDD to install Yosemite on. I recommend using and empty HDD, format it to GPT, with 1 partition formatted to Mac OS Extended (Journaled). Now go through the setup and select your newly created partition. Grab a cup of coffee or something. - 3. Installing a bootloader. After installation the system will reboot. Boot from the USB installer again. When you arrive at the Clover boot loader screen, select the partition you have just installed OS X to, and press enter. OS X will load, go through the system setup. The first thing you want to do is install a bootloader to the HDD. I have attached the files needed for Clover. A guide on how to install Clover can be found at the bottom of this post, under the spoiler. You can also use Clover Configurator, makes things a lot easier. - 4. Patching AppleHDA.kext A guide on how to do this can be found here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/283754-patched-applehdakext-for-codecs-idt-92hd81b1x5-92hd91bxx-92hd87b13-92hd87b24-92hd87xx-etc/ Pinconfig: - 5. AppleIntelFramebufferCapri.kext It is no longer needed to change the device id in the DSDT. Former patch method can still be found in the old guide. I have included a file called: aifc09022015.sh, just drag and drop it in the Terminal window, type "y" to patch the kext. This patch will make the following changes in the AppleIntelFramebufferCapri: Original section: 04 00 66 01 01 03 01 01 00 00 00 02 00 00 00 01 00 00 00 40 10 07 00 00 10 07 00 00 00 00 00 00 20 50 03 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 05 03 00 00 02 00 00 00 30 02 00 00 00 00 00 00 01 00 00 00 40 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 01 00 00 00 40 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 01 00 00 00 40 00 00 00 40 In the second line is the vram, 40 stands for 1024mb. We change this to 20 so that OS X will detect 512mb. 05 03 00 etc is the display device, as you can see, only the internal LCD is defined, so we need to add the HDMI outputs. The default ones from device id 03006601 only detect the display output, no sound. I've taken the HDMI devices from device id 03006601 and added them corrected to 04006601. It looks like this: 04 00 66 01 01 02 04 02 00 00 00 04 00 00 00 01 00 00 00 20 10 07 00 00 10 07 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 05 03 00 00 02 00 00 00 30 02 00 00 02 05 00 00 00 08 00 00 07 04 00 00 03 04 00 00 00 08 00 00 81 00 00 00 04 06 00 00 00 08 00 00 81 00 00 00 More information about this subject can be found here: http://forum.osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/2945-guide-for-enabling-vga-and-hdmi-in-intel-hd4000-gpu/ - 6. AppleGraphicsPowerManagement. Switched to a new model. To edit this kext, copy it from /System/Library/Extensions to ~/Desktop. Now right click on the kext, and show package contents. Open Contents and open the Info.plist with Plisteditor. Now search for the following: Mac-4B7AC7E43945597E Under this, you will find something like the following code (Select the whole IGPU section): Replace it with the following: Save the file, and install the edited kext. - 6. AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext. If you do not have an unlocked bios, or the patch option enabled in Clover, you need to patch this kext to prevent kernel panics. To edit this kext, open Terminal and type the following: sudo -s *password* I have included a file called: aicpm.sh, just drag and drop it in the Terminal window, type "y" to patch the kext. You're done. Patch: Old Guide: How to install Clover and add it to the UEFI Boot menu: - Be careful when replacing the current boot loader, your system may become unbootable if you skip a step, or do not pay attention! 3. Hi, Since this topic has been moved to the Installation Guides section, i figured i might as well make a one. The post information is similar to the previous guide i wrote for the Inspiron 7720, this is mainly because it is easier than writing a complete new guide. Some Specs: Processor: Intel i7-4700MQ Graphics: Nvidia Geforce GT 745M/Intel HD4600 Memory: 16GB Wireless + Bluetooth: Intel Wireless-N 7260 Ethernet: Atheros AR8161 Audio: Conexant CX20751/2 Touchpad: Synaptics - Where to start?: A nice guide on how to create your own USB installer is provided here: http://www.insanelym...-for-beginners/ I do recommend using this method: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/302220-pandoras-box-20-candidate-3-roll-out/ It's self-explanatory. If you only run Windows at the moment, install OS X into a virtual machine, and follow the guide from there. - What will not work?: - Wifi, you will have to replace the card, i switched mine with an Atheros AR5B93. Note: After replacing, your Bluetooth will not work anymore. - Nvidia GT 745M, the card has been completely disabled in the DSDT. If this is not done it will make your system freeze on startup if the NVDA* and GeForce* kexts are not removed. Also, the system will overheat if it is not disabled. Since you can not use the card, it is best to disable it. - FN Keys for brightness (Needs research) - Card reader (Needs to be ported from Linux Realtek_RTS5229_Linux_Driver_v1.07.zip) - So...What does work?: - Speedstep - Sleep/wake - Intel HD4600 with patches - Audio, line out, speakers, HDMI and internal mic, DSDT injection and a patched AppleHDA. - Battery status, ACPIBatteryManager.kext - Webcam - Brightness control with FN key functions. - Touchpad with gestures - Ethernet - 1. Pre-Installation. - Download the EFI.zip from this post and place it on your desktop. Or do it the manual way: I prefer to just open a terminal window and type the following: sudo -s password diskutil list Which will output this: bash-3.2# diskutil list /dev/disk0 #: TYPE NAME SIZE IDENTIFIER 0: GUID_partition_scheme *1.5 TB disk0 1: EFI EFI 209.7 MB disk0s1 2: Apple_HFS Yosemite 189.8 GB disk0s2 3: Apple_Boot Recovery HD 650.0 MB disk0s3 4: Apple_HFS TimeMachine 110.0 GB disk0s4 5: Apple_HFS Opslag 1.2 TB disk0s5 /dev/disk1 #: TYPE NAME SIZE IDENTIFIER 0: GUID_partition_scheme *750.2 GB disk1 1: DE94BBA4-06D1-4D40-A16A-BFD50179D6AC 1.0 GB disk1s1 2: DE94BBA4-06D1-4D40-A16A-BFD50179D6AC 12.6 GB disk1s2 3: EFI SYSTEM 157.3 MB disk1s3 4: Microsoft Reserved 134.2 MB disk1s4 5: Microsoft Basic Data Windows 209.7 GB disk1s5 6: Microsoft Basic Data Opslag 526.5 GB disk1s6 /dev/disk2 #: TYPE NAME SIZE IDENTIFIER 0: GUID_partition_scheme *8.0 GB disk2 1: EFI EFI 209.7 MB disk2s1 2: Apple_HFS Naamloos 1 7.7 GB disk2s2 bash-3.2# In this case disk2 is my usb key, disk2s1 is the EFI partition. Now type the following: mkdir /Volumes/EFI mount -t msdos /dev/disk2s1 /Volumes/EFI You can now open finder and copy the Clover contents to the EFI partition to match the screenshot. Another way of installing Clover: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/305255-making-a-yosemite-usb-installer-w-clover-the-correct-way/ - 2. Installation. Boot from the USB installer, it will boot in verbose mode, if any error occurs, you can take a photo of it and attach it to a post here. First you need to prepare the HDD to install Yosemite on. I recommend using and empty HDD, format it to GPT, with 1 partition formatted to Mac OS Extended (Journaled) 100GB, and another partition for your data, can be anything. The steps on how to install Clover are described in point 1. - 4. Patching AppleHDA.kext - 5. AppleIntelFramebufferAzul.kext and AppleIntelHD5000Graphics.kext This is now controlled by Clover and an AppleHDA injection kext (Used PikerAlpha's method and edited accordingly: Info here. ) Kext to be injected by Clover: AppleHDACX20751.kext.zip Patches controlled by Clover: Old content: Original post and files: El Capitan: For El Capitan the DSDT has been edited to remove the USB 3.0 multiplex patch since it was causing a kernel panic. The USB ports are injected by FakeSMC, as well as the AppleHDA information. Since plist patching by Clover does not work for me for some reason, i have used the Graphics.sh patch to enable the HD4600 with full acceleration. Clover folder: CLOVER10.11.zip sudo bash /path/to/graphics.sh Graphics.sh: Graphics.sh.zip For the AppleHDA add the following 2 files to AppleHDA.kext/Contents/Resources/ and repair permissions using Kext Utility. HDA layout.zip The rest is handled by Clover and FakeSMC. Changelog: EFI.zip config.plist.zip Kexts.zip DSDT_MINI160v3.zip
  4. This is what my problem I installed iDeneb 10.5.5 on my Dell Dimension 4600 absolutely perfectly. The problem is I used the update service on OS X to update my applications like iTunes. This wasn't an operating system update. So, after the update was finished I restarted my computer and booted it up, only to find it hanging with a circle with a line through it over the apple logo. So, I booted it with -s and found that it hangs at Cant determine immediate dependencies for extension org.tgwbd.driver.ACPIPs2nub Cant determine dependencies for org.tgwbd.driver.ACPIPs2nub Couldn't alloc class "AppleACPIPS2Nub" Still waiting for root Is this the end of my OSX86, or is there anyone that can help. Thank you very much!

ASRock Fatal1ty Z68 Professional Gen3 SSD 120GB Corsair SATA 2.5", Force 3 Series Corsair 8GB (KIT) DDR3 VENGEANCE 1,5V CL9 RED ATI HD4850 RADEON 1024MB I've been trying for days to find the right version to install on my PC but failed. Therefore I'm turning here to find help with it. I'd really appreciate exact links to specific .isos or download that you know from experience works with the hardware I've attached. The latet try was the iPC 10.5.6 iso which froze in the installation at this part: "USBF: 0,454 Attempting to get EHCI Controller from BIOS USBF 0.454 Attempting to get EHCI Controller from BIOS USBF 0.454 USBLEGCTLSTS value c0082007 USBF 0.454 Found USBLEGSUP_ID - value 0x10001 - writing OSOwned USBF 0.566 acquireOSOwnership done - value 0x1000001 USBF 0.579 USBLETCTLSTS value c0082007 " I also tried the Hazard 10.6.6 version and the problem with this one was that first of all the Apple logo appeared and it starte loading, but after a while the no symbol (the red ring with a line diagonally through it) appeared over the apple logo and it froze there. Help is really appreciated! Regards (I'm sorry if I've posted this in the wrong category or something, I'm new to this forum and new to the hackingtosh thing)

    HP Compaq DC7100 SSF

Hello fellow OSX86 community, I am Jivi and i want to start a new project since i got a HP Compaq DC7100SSF from a freind of mine and i want to try if OSX will run on this machine i know this machine is kinda old but still i am intresting in what the power of it can be. I am not new whit osx86 since i already got a HP NC6320 running osx pretty well i used IPCOSX10.5.6 for this laptop and i am going to use IAKTOS S3 10.6.3 for the DC 7100. oke so lets start whit the Specification of this DC7100: Processor Intel Pentium 4 2.8 GHz Memory / 2.0 GB DDR2 667MHz Dual Channel SDRAM Kingston Memory Hard Drive 80.0 GB Optical Drive DVD-ROM IDE working installed the osx whit this drive Graphics Processor Intel GMA900 working whit modified GMA950 kexts Cache Type L2 cache Cache Size 1.0 MB Ethernet. BCM 5751 LFB worked whit BCM5751 kext Wireless Ralink USB 150 MBPS came whit drivers for OSX on the cd. oke so you can find the IAKTOS S3V2 at their forum google it. i have burned the ISO onto a DVD-R at the lowest speed 4x using imgburn. the computer booted up whit out using any flags! i have formated the hard disk OSX Extended Journaled( MBR) this because i will use a litle program EasyBCD to fix the MBR to dual Boot into Windows! now comes the tricky part here you have to customize your hardware, Boot loaders, kernels, patches, and configure your VGA and Ethernet. to succeed in this part you will need to know your hardware if you do not start looking into it. to get the GMA Graphic Card working you can check out these posts they were very helpfull! http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/267122-1068-on-gma900/ http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/284885-guide-1068-on-a-dell-optiplex-gx280/ i have gotten ethernet working whit the kext found here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/155590-broadcom-5751-applebcm5751ethernetkext/ this post was very helpful worth checking into it! I recently added a Asus Geforce 7500 LE as a Graphics card to the system and i now have wonderful Graphics whit this cards everything works QE/CE resolution up to 1080 tested on my Samsung TV connected trough DVI. i Updated the system to 10,6,8 trough the software update in OSX it self now i the machine hangs at this message [ PCI configuration begin ] and wont load any further i haven't gotten past this message looking into it still i haven't gotten past this message so i reinstalled Iaktos S3 V2 i used the following options in customize: Boot loader i chose AsereBLN v1.1.9 Bootloader options i chose: 32 bit boot ethernet patches i chose: /extra directory fake SMC ( this is a Must) disabler RTC drop down the menu and choose RTC (32BIT) this is a must because our cpu is not 64bit! modified kernels i chose: qoopz 10.3.0 UUID select this Drivers i chose: SATA/IDE dis-select the sound we will add these later since these give alot of kernel panics installing the wrong sound driver. select PS/2 VGA only select these if you know what you need to select otherwise dis-select this i did not select this! now continue installation this will take up to 30 minutes you do not need to stay whit the computer. once the installation is done you have successfully installed OSx onto your HP Compaq DC7100 congratulation! for your first boot up i recommend to boot whit flag -v -f this always worked for me though. if your computer does not boot try these flags cpu=1 ncpi=0x2000 these might work otherwide try graphics enabler=no this link is very helpful it has almost all the flags you could use trying to boot your OSX instalation. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/99891-osx-flags-list-for-darwin-bootloader-kernel-level/ So i did some research spent a few nights on the computer dig trough google and viewing different kind of forums i finaly got to this page: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/275293-guide-1068-on-a-dell-optiplex-gx620/ this is a very straight forward setup to get from 10.6.3 - 10.6.8 i got everything working whit the information provided by this tutorial i did not succeed into getting QE/CE whit the GMA900 card though but i have seen and read that it is possible to get it working. since i am using a PCIE Asus Geforce 7500 LE I didn't need the GMA900 kexts but search the web and you will succeed! so now that i have an osx 10.6.8 running machine whit almost everything working now my computer wont shut down or restart properly it closes down OSX but the computer PSU stays on whit a black screen i am still looking into fixing this problems if anyone knows how to fix this your help is much appreciated pm me or post it so more people can enjoy this fix. so this osx build was an success i also build a laptop HP NC6320 if you want to know more about the laptop build let me know and i will push you in the right direction i hope i was able to help some people to give an old machine some life since this machine runs terrible and slow on Windows 7 and windows 8 and windows xp isn't that fine either. i will provide a zipped archive file whit the Kexts i used for this build and i hope they will help you out i did not make these kexts i just found them trough research on the net so do not ask me for any help customizing kexts . oke so i found the kext for the audio driver wich is an Soundmax AD1981B ICH6 you can find the driver in this post. the kext is included in the attached archive! http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/222337-resolved-soundmax-ad1981b-ich6/ OSX KEXTS HPDC7100.rar

  12. I have ASUS M4A87TD motherboard with AMD Phenom-II CPU AM3 socket, 16 GB RAM DDR-3 and Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 Ti videocard. I have Mac OS 10.5 installed, but as we all know, it doesn't include Classic Environment and I had to deal with Rosetta for old applications. 10.6 is much harder for AMD CPUs and Rosetta is not included (but can be installed as addon). 10.7 doesn't allow Rosetta to be installed, so we should use vMac, Basilisk II or SheepShaver emulators... So, if you can help me to choice the proper OSx86 for this configuration. Also, I have older computer with Gigabyte GA-K8NS Ultra-939 (NForce 3 chipset), Athlon X2 4600+ (dual core) - 2.4 GHz, 4 GB RAM (DDR), Nvidia GeForce 6800 Ultra video. What OSx86 is compatible with this hardware?
  13. I've been searching and searching for months now, and I'm still getting no where. I just want to know can I run OSX86 on my Toshiba L20-195, even if its just Tiger, and what i should use to install it. I cant be the only person to have one of these laptops. My laptop specs are: Intel® Celeron® M Processor 370 1.50GHz 2GB DDR2 Ram 111GB Hard drive ATI Radeon Xpress 200m (128MB Memory) I dont know if i need to supply any more information but i would be able to

    Youtube/Safari

Well, you can read the specs from my sig. I have no problems, batching videos for 3 days, downloading 24/7 at 5MB/s, not a problem. The only problem i have, when i open a playlist in youtube, and switch to another tab, after one video ends, i need to visit the tab again, to get the following video to load. This happens to every video playlist. Tell me what you need, will provide it. Crashplayer and Safari are up-to-date. Problem does not exist in Firefox.

    Sony Vaio VGN NR11S OSX86

Hi everyone I got my hands on Vaio VGN NR11S, on witch I want to install OS X. I've been researching the foruns, and still didn't get any example or case of someone who has used one of this laptops with a installation of OS X86. So the laptop has the following specs: CPU - Core 2 Duo T5250 Chipset - INTEL GM965 Graphic Adapter - Intel GMA X3100 Audio - Realtek HD Audio Wifi - Intel3945ABG (this one i assume will not work.) So I was planning to install Leopard or Snow Leopard, since I think Lion will be a little bit too much for this buddy. Any idea of what distribution I should use? Best Regards and thanks in advance!
