  1. Hi All, I am currently running on OS X 10.13.1 (High Sierra) and everything works perfectly, besides sleep... I've scoured the internet for an answer but can't figure out how to force my computer to stay asleep (seriously, it's like an infant that's consumed too much sugar). Keeping the computer on 24/7 is wasting so much energy. Here are my specifications: CPU: I7-4790k (Haswell) Memory: 32gb DDR3 GPU: Nvidia 1080ti Gigabyte Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97X-SLI Network Card: TP-Link Archer T9E (PCI-E Wireless AC) Cooler: Corsair H110i GTX (Corsair Link Connected to USB Header) HDD: 4 SSD's Other Accessories: Oculus Rift, C920 Webcam, Yeti USB Microphone Here are the Kexts/items I've installed into the computer: Clover (UEFI Boot Mode), Drivers (VoodooHDA V2. 9.0d10), 3rd Party SATA, FakeSMC, FakeSMC Plugins, 3rd Party USB 3.0, 7/8/9 Series USB Support, NVIDIA Web Drivers Boot Flag Here is the output of "pmset -g assertions": https://imgur.com/a/Zo4kG Here is what I've done so far: Changes Standby, Autopoweroff, StandbyDelay values Went to BIOS, disabled Wake on Lan Option Changed the darkwake settings to darkwake = no and darkwake = 8,9.. Cried myself to sleep out of frustration At the moment, I turned the hibernatemode to 25 and that seems to shut the computer down automatically. The downside to this is, I need to wait for the computer to completely boot up each time it goes into Hibernate..
  2. Hi! I need help with installation of OS X on samsung np300e7a-s02pl. I've tried with Sierra on Clover but there was a problem with display. Purple stripes and system not scaled to screen, but system was only working with AppleIntelPMpatch. Otherwise it couldnt even boot. In verbose were some lines "Found unsupported chip ... ITL Sequence= 0xffff", "name not a kext" or something. I dont think that cpu could be the problem. Am I doing something wrong or maybe i need to install older OS X? Here are some specs: CPU: Intel Core i3-2330M GPU: Nvidia GT 520M RAM: 6GB
  3. Hello! I attached you my clover folder. I don't know what to do, the system it s booting very slow, I tried a lot of patches, but none of them doesn't work... Also, the external screen worked when the update was made, but now it's not working.. I have an Acer Aspire vx15, i7-7770hq, intel hd 630. thanks! CLOVER.zip
  4. My K95 RGB working great on both Sierra and High Sierra. I'm testing the software for Corsair If anyone wants to be a tester just pm me, I'll flick you the contact.
  5. Hiya, im new to the forum and also pretty new to hackintoshing itself. I have an old dell latitude d505 and decided to install Tiger on it just to check it out. After days of searching i found a link to download the JaS dvd installer that still worked. I installed it and after a a little coaxing it completed. But when it restarts the apple logo appears with the spinning wheel, then the wheel freezes in place and after a minute i can hear the welcome video begin to play. It just stays on the apple logo with the frozen wheel even though behind the scenes i can tell im on the setup screen due to the sound ques. I know that the x86 project and Tiger have long since parted ways, but if theres anybody that could give me a hand with this that would be awesome. Cause theres not alot of places i could look for help on this ancient project. Dell Latitude D505 1GB RAM 1.4 GHZ Celeron The Standard Intel Based graphics
  6. Hello, I've been attempting for the past few days to install OS X Mountain Lion on my Lenovo Thinkpad Edge E530 with little success. So much so that I've finally decided I'm probably out of ideas and created this forum post requesting help. My Laptop Specs are: Intel Core i3-2328m (Sandy Bridge CPU at 2.2GHZ with support for SSE2 , SSE3 and SSSE3) 8GB RAM 500GB Hitachi Z7K500 HDD Lenovo 627226G Motherboard (Intel HM77 Chipset) Intel HD Graphics 3000 More Detailed Specs ---> https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B-GXUa1I8xyDZU1SdklDSlhER2c So far , I've attempted to install iAtkos ML2 and ML3U via USB and so far both have worked up until the first sighting of the apple logo then the laptop restarted. In both cases , I was using a separate USB with chameleon bootloader on but in the instance where I tried to use the onboard bootloader on ML3U , I hit enter and the screen simply remained black. Any help would be much appreciated Thank you for your time.
  7. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/file/31-vmware-tools-for-os-x-darwiniso/ Please tell me, what is the difference between the 8.5.6 and 8.5.5 versions of the VMWare tools for OS X ? Probably by mistake, the changelog for 8.5.6 and 8.5.5 is the same. What is a real changelog between them?
  8. I'm trying to upgrade to El Capitan directly from Yosemite (It's a distro but I'm trying to leave the distro environment to El Capitan, or at least find a way to fix the installer that I have downloaded to work with my laptop) and when I boot "install Mac OS X Install" it goes straight to a kernel panic right when the loading bar shows up. I appear to have issues with kexts, but I'm not sure, I have supplied an image of the panic. Please tell me how to fix this.
  9. Alright, so I've been able to find guides for laptops similar to mine, but none that are PRECISELY for the Lenovo Thinkpad T440. Not the S model, but just the T440. I manged to pick this laptop up for a sweet deal on eBay, and i'd like to run MacOS on it if possible. Would it be fine to try a VM then try installing for real later? I have Windows 10 with a key already installed MBR/CSM Style and would like to keep it on here, if at all possible, but I could wipe it if necessary to do a UEFI boot. I initially wanted to try Sierra, but it seems Sierra is relatively undocumented for any similar thinkpad. My specs are as follows: Intel Core i5-4200U @ 1.6GHz, turbo boosts up to 2.3 Ghz 4GB Ram (going to another 4gb dimm) 500GB HDD (will eventually add a m.2 ssd later for macOS if it can be installed Thats about all the important specs, I think. If theres anything else necessary, I'd be glad to list it. (: I did manage to make an installer and boot it Legacy style into Sierra but the trackpad and keyboard didn't respond. It also took awhile to get to the installer. Is there a way I can Install to a USB or something to test it, or is a VM the best way to go about it for a test run? Thanks. Sorry for rambling.
  10. No hokus pokus - No magic I am basically making this more current and simplifying it for people with HP Z800 wanting to run Sierra. With a bit more detail on the BIOS settings All credit really goes to: chatdeau, Rockey12 and ZoroZZ for helping out and creating the first topic on the HP Z series found here I am not sure who to credit for the kexts but a big THANK YOU to whoever you are! The HP Z series is very powerful and affordable computers which I simply think is a brilliant Hackintosh solution. MY HW Specification : HP Z800 with BIOS version : 3.60 CPU: x2 6-core X5690 RAM: 32 GB GFX: ATI HD5870 SSD: Samsung SSD 840 EVO 250GB What you need. - A HP Z800/600 (obviously) - A working computer running Mac OS X - A 8gb or higher USB 2.0 key - Mac OS X Sierra app - Latest CLOVER - The Attached Kexts Step one – BIOS Update Update your BIOS to the latest (currently it is 3.60 Rev.A 14 Apr 2016) Download there The easiest way is to run the flash tool on a Windows installation. Step two – BIOS settings Setup the BIOS settings with the following settings. Please keep in mind that there might be option you can turn on or off depending on your need but this is just what worked for me. Storage > Storage Options - Removal Media Boot = Enable - Legacy Diskette Write = Enable - SATA Emulation = RAID+AHCI Security > System Security - Data Execution Prevention = Enable - Virtualization (VTx) = Disable - Virtualization (VT-d2) = Disable - AES Instruction = Enable Security > Device Security (Everything to “Device Available” except these) - Serial port = Hidden - Internal USB = Hidden - SAS Controller = Hidden - Legacy Diskette = Hidden - Embedded Security = Hidden Power > OS Power Management - Runtime Power Man = Enable - MWAIT-Aware OS = Enable - Idle Power savings = Extended - ACPI S3 Hard Disk = Disable - ACPI S3 PS2 Mouse = Enable - USB Wake = Disable - Unique Sleep State = Disable Power > Hardware Power Management - SATA Power Manage = Enable - Intel Turbo Boost = Enable - Enhanced Intel Turbo Boost = Enable - EUP Compliance = Enable Advanced > Processor - Hyper-Threading = Enable - Active Cores = All Cores - Limited CPUID = Disable Advanced > Chipset/Memory - PCI SERR# Generation = Disable - PCI VGA Palette Snooping = Disable - Enhanced Memory Performance = Enable Advanced > Device Options - Num Lock = Off - S5 Wake on LAN = Enable - Multi-Processor = Enable - Internal Speaker = Disable - Monitor Tracking = Disable - NIC PXE = Disable - SATA RAID Option ROM = Enable Step tree – Create the USB Download the Mac OS Sierra installer app from the Appstore on a working computer running Mac Run Disk Utility and format the USB key as Mac OS Extended (Journaled) with GUID Partition Map. I just named the USB Key Untitled as standard Then open terminal and run this command to create the USB key sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/Untitled --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sierra.app Please note that this part of the command “/Volumes/Untitled” is the path to the USB key and if you have named it anything else than “Untitled” you will have to edit it with the name of your USB key. Once the command is done you have to install Clover which can be downloaded here Run the clover pkg and remember to “Change Install Location” to your usb. Then choose costumize and choose the following: - Bootloader - Install boot0af in MBR - CloverEFI - CloverEFI 64-bits SATA Once Clover is installed you will need to add the following Kexts (attached below) to the /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.12 folder on your USB Key. - AHCIPortInjector_v1.0.0_Micky1979.kext - FakeSMC_v6.16.1372_netkas.kext - IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector_v1.0.0_Micky1979.kext - NullCPUPowerManagement_v1.0.0d2_tgwbd.kext Step four – Boot to Installation Insert the USB key and start the computer. At the HP screen choose F9 to choose boot option. Then select USB drive When you are at the CLOVER screen you can choose options and in the boot arguments you should write use the –v bootflag to be able to see what is going on in case there is any errors. In my case I am using a ATI 5870 GPU and I don’t need to do anything as the ATI 5xxx series is supported but Mac OS X by default. If you have an Nvidia card you need to add the nv_disable=1 boot argument to avoid a black screen. Now run the installer as you would with any Mac and at the install screen you shall rund Disk Utility and format the drive you want to use as we did previously with the USB key. Mac OS Extended (Journaled) with GUID Partition Map. The installer will reboot the computer and when It starts again you need to hit F9 again select the USB key but this time at the Clover screen You need to choose your newly created Hard drive. The Installer will continue after this and boot one last time before booting in to the new system. Please note that you need to boot from the USB and choose the hard drive each time at the Clover screen. Step five – Make the OS bootable Once you are running your new OS you will need to install clover to that drive like we did previously on the USB key. Run the clover pkg and remember to “Change Install Location” to your hard drive. Then choose costumize and choose the following: - Bootloader - Install boot0af in MBR - CloverEFI - CloverEFI 64-bits SATA Once Clover is installed you will need to add these following Kexts found here to the /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.12 folder on you’re the OS X hard drive. If you have an Nvidia GPU you will need to install the web driver which is found here And use the nvda_drv=1 boot flag at the clover screen. You will need to add this to the config.plist ether manually or with clover configurator to avoid typing it in all the time. Enjoy your new powerful hackintosh. HP Z800 kexts Sierra.zip
  11. I have scoured the internet for an answer to this, but no luck. When I try to boot into my OS X El Capitan Virtual Machine, I get an error (Pictures Below). I have tried to reinstall VMware, reinstall the Virtual Machine. I have used the unlocker provided by someone else, and installed flags to the text file. But none has worked. Processor: AMD FX 8320E @ 3.20GHz Memory: 8GB DDR3 Below is my .VMX file. El Capitan VMX.txt
Grazie mille!
  13. I personally would like to know how many people regret updating to Yosemite and beyond... the changes in the OS are just to the worse in my oppinion, at least for a laptop Hackintosh, I reverted to Mavericks for stability and beauty reasons, it runs stable as a wall of stone No issues at all as of OS X 10.9.5 on my Hacks. Besides I despise the cartoon/childish approach to the personal computer experience, as well as the amount of issues Sierra presents... and dont dare to say a Mac is not a PC hahaha So what is your favourite OS X version and why? (I know there is an old thread about the same, but it is quite outdated)
  14. Obviously, I know it has something to do with CPU power management or FakeSMC not initiating for some reason, but I've tried: Replacing FakeSMC with a new fresh one from RehabMan's repo booting with almost every flag i can think of trying to use a clean install from the terminal and with clover Using Pandora's Box to create the installer My specs are: Intel Core i3 - 4360 NVIDIA Gigabyte GeForce GTX 950 OC Edition (OC'd a bit) powering 2 monitors, 1 HDMI and 1 DVI. GA-Z97M-DS3H My machine is currently running 10.11.5 on El Capitan, and I've ran Yosemite on it before, so obviously it is capable, but I'm pretty confused at to why my machine won't boot the installer. The only issues I've ever run into were having to set up CodecCommander for my current Install using Clover. I'm booting UEFI btw. If anyone could help me out I'd really appreciate it. I can provide anything you need such as IOReg, etc.
  15. Hey All, I'm having some difficulties installing (and booting) macOS Sierra on my computer. I seem to have some weird Kernel Panic that I have never seen before and I have tried a bunch of different boot flags, and different install routes. I also tried installing El Captain but the exact same thing happened. Consider My PC Specs: Acer Aspire T: ATC-605-ER34 Intel i7-4770 Processor Nvidia GT 730 Graphics Card 8 Gigabytes of RAM Both my Sound and Wifi cards are not compatible with Mac OS, so I have external USB adapters for that. My computer is Running 3 Operating Systems: Mac OS 10.10 Yosemite (2 Copies of this, one is an old version I have yet to delete.) Windows 10 Currently, I have Clover as my boot loader and booting I am using the boot flags dart=0 and nv_disable=1 and it is Injecting Nvidia. There is nothing put in the SMBIOS section, other than iMac 14,2 as the product name. I should be able to respond pretty quickly if anyone has any questions. I hope someone can help me out, thanks.
  16. So I boot OS X El Capitan from my Clover USB Drive, and instead of being presented with the option to Install, it gives me the option to reinstall. Odd if I do say so myself. OS X has never touched any of the drives in my PC, save for InstallESD.dmg, so it shouldn't be telling me to REinstall it. Anyway, I tried to use that option and it gives me a message saying that it will now connect to Apple's Servers for something, then it presents the error in the title ("Could not find information for this mac, contact apple care") Any thoughts?
  17. ACPI Kernel Panic...Help?

My specs are in my signature, along with a very important message for you all. Alrighty, here's my situation. I boot up from my clover USB, which has El Capitan on it as well (Created with BootDiskUtility). I start in with the following boot flags: "nv_disable=1 GraphicsEnabler=No -s -x -v -f". Under the El Pwn image, this would get me to the installer but would immediately tell me that OS X is already installed. Problem is, none of my drives have ever been touched by OS X. So I moved to BDU and now it throws me an error regarding AppleACPIPlatform.kext Does anyone have a solution to this problem? So far the forum posts that describe my problem are unanswered.
  18. Hi all, I'm trying to install Niresh on my notebook following this guide http://www.macbreaker.com/2014/01/install-osx-mavericks-on-pc-with-niresh.html?m=1, but I've got error after boot up from iso file.. pc start installing, then it stop and reboot itself at this point (images) (I made screenshoots from a rallenty video, the procedure it's too fast to take photo). I've tryed different images (.dmg or .iso), it do the same, and I've tryed some flags, nothing to do..
  19. Guten Tag! Vielen lieben Dank Christopher
  20. Hello guys, I'm a newbe on this forum, so please don't judge me hard. I have a system (one of a few) with the following hardware: 1) Processor - i5-2400 - Sandy Bridge 2) Motherboard - Gigabyte Z68MA-D2h-B3 with U1C bios installed 3) Asus GT210 graphics card So the problem is that I finally installed El Capitain on this system (it was a bit hard, but I did it) and after that I can't install any other update - neither combo nor usual one. When I'm starting the installer (let's say it would be combo 10.11.5) I just see all the steps and when the installer riches the progress bar window - there it shows extremely fast the progress bar movement from 0 till 100% and throw me to next window without any errors! The new window is a final one and when I push the restart button, my system is restarting but nothing happened - I still have 10.11. Does anyone here have the same problem? Or may be anyone suggest which log are need to be examined to find an error or whatever it may be? Anyway, any help is appreciated!

  22. ASUS X555LJ audio help

Hello, I have an ASUS X555LJ with OS X 10.11.5 Installed everything is working quite nice except for the audio (ALC233) Sometimes it decides to work but mostly the Icon in the Finder Bar is greyed out. I already installed: Codec Commander A modified AppleHDA (multiple ones) But they always fail after some time. Specs: Intel Core i3 5010 Intel HD 5500 4GB RAM 500GB HDD
  23. Hi, Hello! This is my first post and I am less than literate in OS X and running it in Virtual Machines and the like. In fact, I have only gotten this far by watching and reading tutorials so please, forgive me if I do not provide enough information. Please let me know if you need more information. Firstly, here are my PC specifications: CPU: Pentium G3258 (Overclocked to 4 GHz, Virtualization enabled) GPU: Gigabyte GTX 660 OC 2GB Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H81M-H (No USB 3.0, Revision 2.1) RAM: 4GB Primary Storage: 120GB SSD Secondary Storage: 80GB HDD Architecture: 64-bit I am using VMware Workstation 12.1.1 Player. I should mention that: I have added smc.version = "0" to both Yosemite's and El Capitan's vmx file. I have ran Unlocker 2.0.8 as administrator Issue 1, El Capitan Ideally I would have liked to run El Capitan in VMware but after following such tutorials online, in which multiple people made it look so easy, I ran into this Kernel Panic on booting: Click here to see the Kernel Panic - I linked this image to save on post space. Here are my settings for this VM: Memory Processors Hard Disk CD/DVD Network Adapter USB Controller Sound Card Display I have researched the "cpu 0 caller" error but couldn't find any information relating to the specific error code of '0xffffff8008b9b0d4'. Because of this Kernel Panic I tried Yosemite instead, which leads me to my second issue. Issue 2, Yosemite After failing to boot El Capitan I decided to try Yosemite instead. However, when booting it freezes/gets stuck half way. Click here to see the stall at 50% on boot The settings for Yosemite are exactly the same as for El Capitan in Issue 1. Conclusion If I could get either of these VM's to work then I'd be satisfied. Thank you for taking the time to read my post. I will greatly appreciate any advice given. - Silent EDIT: I researched more, "The G3258 isn't natively supported" is a comment often seen. People have suggested faking the CPUID to 0x0306A0 (I'm not even sure what CPU this comes from) but this is a method used in Clover? How I'd translate this over to VMware I have no idea (Is it even possible?). Thoughts? EDIT 2: After even more research I added these 2 lines to El Capitan's vmx file from a topic about CPUID's in VMware: cpuid.1.edx = "00001111111010111111101111111111" cpuid.1.eax = "00000000000000000000011011110001" According to OS X it thinks my CPU is now a "2 x 3.04 GHz Intel Core 2 Solo". It worked! Hopefully this post will be helpful to other people if they come across the same problems I have.
