  1. I've installed Mavericks successfully using clover UEFI on a machine with these specs. Asus p8h61-m le (with patched BIOS from biosrepo) i5 2400 (Sandy) Geforce GT210 Thought it was all %100 but after rebooting a few times, boot got stuck at 'P-state error 18' and KPs soon after due to AppleCPUPowerManagement.kext Strange thing is, if I leave it boot cycling, it will eventually boot. Sometimes first go, other times after 30 or more tries. I tried enabling C-states and P-states via clover but no change. (I'm not sure the P-State error actually has anything to do with the KP) I also tried the ssdtPRGen script and used that with clover but still no change. I'm not sure where to go from here. Can someone please point me in the right direction???
  2. So I spent a couple hours last night upgrading from Yosemite 10.10 GM3 to the official MAS release, and everything went fairly smoothly. After updating, I installed the new nVidia Web Driver, which actually broke my UEFI Clover boot for some reason (would cause an OSXAptioFixDrv error at startup), so I got in via legacy boot and uninstalled the driver, and all was fine. Got some work done last night and went to bed like usual. Well, I woke up this morning to my machine having been restarted for some reason. The logs show this: Wed Oct 22 01:30:57 2014 *** Panic Report *** panic(cpu 0 caller 0xffffff800041e80a): Kernel trap at 0xffffff7f811a053b, type 14=page fault, registers: CR0: 0x000000008001003b, CR2: 0x0000000000000000, CR3: 0x0000000008e2d000, CR4: 0x00000000000626e0 RAX: 0xffffff801de54800, RBX: 0x0000000000000000, RCX: 0x0000000000000000, RDX: 0x0000000000000001 RSP: 0xffffff817ee1b450, RBP: 0xffffff817ee1b470, RSI: 0xffffff8020e5b008, RDI: 0x0000000000000000 R8: 0xffffff8020f5b000, R9: 0x0000000000000000, R10: 0xffffff813d0781e8, R11: 0x0000054cebb716f3 R12: 0xffffff813cd84008, R13: 0xffffff8020e7a008, R14: 0x0000000000000000, R15: 0xffffff8020f5b000 RFL: 0x0000000000010202, RIP: 0xffffff7f811a053b, CS: 0x0000000000000008, SS: 0x0000000000000010 Fault CR2: 0x0000000000000000, Error code: 0x0000000000000000, Fault CPU: 0x0 Backtrace (CPU 0), Frame : Return Address 0xffffff817ee1b100 : 0xffffff800033a811 0xffffff817ee1b180 : 0xffffff800041e80a 0xffffff817ee1b340 : 0xffffff800043a443 0xffffff817ee1b360 : 0xffffff7f811a053b 0xffffff817ee1b470 : 0xffffff7f812d1f4c 0xffffff817ee1b4b0 : 0xffffff7f812d18df 0xffffff817ee1b4e0 : 0xffffff7f8147af36 0xffffff817ee1b520 : 0xffffff7f81470bc0 0xffffff817ee1b580 : 0xffffff7f812b1993 0xffffff817ee1b5f0 : 0xffffff7f814c6fb3 0xffffff817ee1b630 : 0xffffff7f814c6e74 0xffffff817ee1b650 : 0xffffff7f811ec2fa 0xffffff817ee1b6d0 : 0xffffff7f811ef5c5 0xffffff817ee1b8d0 : 0xffffff7f811f0d64 0xffffff817ee1b9b0 : 0xffffff7f81391c08 0xffffff817ee1ba60 : 0xffffff7f81385e63 0xffffff817ee1bc30 : 0xffffff7f8119c78b 0xffffff817ee1bcc0 : 0xffffff7f81185fc4 0xffffff817ee1bd40 : 0xffffff7f81188c8f 0xffffff817ee1bdb0 : 0xffffff7f811889aa 0xffffff817ee1be20 : 0xffffff7f8114d71a 0xffffff817ee1be60 : 0xffffff7f8114cb50 0xffffff817ee1be90 : 0xffffff7f81148d33 0xffffff817ee1bef0 : 0xffffff80008d7162 0xffffff817ee1bf40 : 0xffffff80008d507d 0xffffff817ee1bf80 : 0xffffff80008d5146 0xffffff817ee1bfb0 : 0xffffff80004192c7 Kernel Extensions in backtrace: com.apple.iokit.IOGraphicsFamily(2.4.1)[6D99A3BE-D531-3780-880B-13F2FC894A4A]@0xffffff7f8113d000->0xffffff7f81183fff dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOPCIFamily(2.9)[766FC23F-452C-3B74-951C-598BB17BCF06]@0xffffff7f80b24000 com.apple.iokit.IONDRVSupport(2.4.1)[F4738C55-B507-3627-A9CA-3D29A5230A03]@0xffffff7f81184000->0xffffff7f81193fff dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOGraphicsFamily(2.4.1)[6D99A3BE-D531-3780-880B-13F2FC894A4A]@0xffffff7f8113d000 dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOPCIFamily(2.9)[766FC23F-452C-3B74-951C-598BB17BCF06]@0xffffff7f80b24000 com.apple.nvidia.driver.NVDAResman(10.0)[53CC0E05-7382-336C-8239-AE884D6CA71A]@0xffffff7f8119a000->0xffffff7f8141afff dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOPCIFamily(2.9)[766FC23F-452C-3B74-951C-598BB17BCF06]@0xffffff7f80b24000 dependency: com.apple.iokit.IONDRVSupport(2.4.1)[F4738C55-B507-3627-A9CA-3D29A5230A03]@0xffffff7f81184000 dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOGraphicsFamily(2.4.1)[6D99A3BE-D531-3780-880B-13F2FC894A4A]@0xffffff7f8113d000 dependency: com.apple.AppleGraphicsDeviceControl(3.7.21)[4700601D-3FEB-3B86-B2BA-8D71AF84D1C4]@0xffffff7f81194000 com.apple.nvidia.driver.NVDAGK100Hal(10.0)[DC43029D-568A-3B7C-976B-E922C17F5143]@0xffffff7f8141b000->0xffffff7f815dcfff dependency: com.apple.nvidia.driver.NVDAResman(10.0.0)[53CC0E05-7382-336C-8239-AE884D6CA71A]@0xffffff7f8119a000 dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOPCIFamily(2.9)[766FC23F-452C-3B74-951C-598BB17BCF06]@0xffffff7f80b24000 …which looks like a kernel panic related to the default OSX nVidia graphics drivers. I was obviously in bed when this happened, so I don't really know the circumstances relating to the panic, but it's obviously cause for concern. I will update this post if it happens again, I'm just curious if anyone else has had any nVidia-related issues since updating to the MAS official release of Yosemite…?   3. Weird error. If I have an external HD, or my iPhone plugged directly into any USB port and boot - it Kernel Panics. Even if I'm running a WebCam network iPhone program, connected to my comp's local IP - Panics. Caveat: If I plug in a USB hub, and then plug a storage unit in it, boots up fine. Also, everything's cool if I just plug it in when it's already booted.

  5. Hello everybody, I am experiencing some very frustrating behavior from my 10.7.2 Lion Hackintosh, and I have no idea how to approach the problem... any help would be greatly appreciated. Some background information about the system: Gigabyte z68XP-UD3 Intel Core i7 - 2600k 16GB Corsair memory (2x8GB) Gigabyte HD6870 Seasonic x750 Power Unit Dell 3011 + Dell 2412 monitors connected via the two Displayports Operating System on a Intel 80GB Solid State Drive Data, including "user home" on a 2TB Seagate Hard drive Another 1TB + 500GB old hard drives used for random stuff Time Machine backups on a Hitachi 3TB drive Wireless Apple Keyboard and Trackpad connected via a Belkin Bluetooth dongle (inserted in one of the Dell 30" USB ports) Installed last spring following a tutorial found online, using ###### and then ######. The system is recognized in About this Mac as a Mac Pro, early 2008. The problem: Kernel panics. I cannot find any single common element between the different instances when it happens. Sometimes it's just one hour between two kernel panics, sometimes the computer does not have any problem for a week. Lately it seems they are becoming more frequent though, hence I decided it's time to fix this. It's not temperature related (I checked temperatures) and does not happen more often when the computer is pushed (in fact I had a kernel panic while the computer was totally idle). Can't tell if it's a software problem or a hardware problem. Have no idea how to diagnose the kp. I did try to read up on the forum but with little success. Any help would be greatly appreciated, because I now fear I might just be losing the patient (as I said, the kp seem to become more and more frequent). I am still on 10.7.2 because I was working at something very critical and I really needed to minimize down-time risks. But ideally I would like to go to Mountain Lion now... but I do not understand if it would likely help solving the KP problem or instead make it worse or more complicated to diagnose... Sorry for the noobness, it's my first OsX system and have still little capacity to troubleshoot it.
  6. I'm trying to upgrade to El Capitan directly from Yosemite (It's a distro but I'm trying to leave the distro environment to El Capitan, or at least find a way to fix the installer that I have downloaded to work with my laptop) and when I boot "install Mac OS X Install" it goes straight to a kernel panic right when the loading bar shows up. I appear to have issues with kexts, but I'm not sure, I have supplied an image of the panic. Please tell me how to fix this.
  7. Well, I succesfully installed Lion 1.7.2 on my computer using iAtkos L2. I changed my graphic card from GeForce GTS 250 to EVGA GTX 460 (both 1GB), and i got an audio issue. When I was using the GTS 250, all was working fine (sound crackling a little bit, nothing important). Now, i install lion with "GraphicsEnabler=No" and "npci=0x2000", to instal the vga kext after installing the system. Well, when i try to install any audio kexts I get a kernel panic. Any suggestions ? My Computer Configuration: Core i7 920 @2.66 GHz 6GB Ram (3x OCZ³ 2GB 1.333 in triple channel) Asus P6T (Normal) EVGA GTX460 1GB 120 GB HD Thanks ! Lucas Ponciano

    Kernel Panic (I think)

Hi there, hope you can help me with this one. I followed the instructions which are perfectly written and managed to install OSX ML. So far so good. Great I thought, here we go but when I try to boot into the hard drive I get what I believe is a kernel panic. I used the -v option and then took a screen shot with my iphone which I attach here (sorry about the flash, this was the best of 10 I took with & without flash) My system is ASUS P8H61-M LX2 Motherboard Intel i5 Processor ASUS NVidia Geforce GT630 Graphics 8GB RAM Seagate Barracuda 1TB hard drive Please can you help. I have tried everything I can based on the help files on the forum but nothing seems to work. I wonder if it is to do with my MB Bios? Thanks to anyone out there willing to help out a newbie Chris
  9. Salut !
  10. Hello! I was recently trying to install the latest version of Niresh OS (which is derived distro of Mountain Lion). The problem that I get on booting is this error at verbose mode: panic (cpu 0 caller 'something was here') : "Unable to find driver for this platform : \ "ACPI \ ". \ n"@/ SourceCache / xnu / xnu - 1504.15.3 / iokit / kernel / IOPlatformExpert.cpp : 1546 Debugger called : <panic> The machine that I was trying to install this distro is HP Envy 4 - Ultrabook 1046 TX. Here are more details of the hardware: http://www.flipkart.com/hp-envy-4-1046tx-ultrabook-3rd-gen-ci5-4gb-500gb-32gb-ssd-win7-hp-2gb-graph/p/itmdak77wenfusqh?pid=COMDAK72CMTCU22B&otracker=from-search&srno=t_1&query=HP+Envy+4+Ultrabook&ref=ebe97849-9bf5-4ecd-81b0-bf532af217ec Perhaps it is because Mac requires to search for an optical drive and my laptop simply does not have an optical drive. Is there any way I can install Niresh OS on my computer or any other possible way in which I could install a Hackintosh into my laptop. Any help is appriciated. Thanks!
  11. Hello, I finished installing OS X 10.7 Lion a few weeks ago. Things have been going well until recently, as when I play Java games (like Minecraft) and ejecting the drive using the key on the Apple USB Aluminum Keyboard, kernel panic might occur (It does not always happen). The message shows that com.apple.ATIRadeonX3000 is the culprit. Attached is a screenshot I took when the Kernel Panic happened. My computer configuration: Intel Core i7-930 2.8GHz Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R Rev 2.0 (FF BIOS) 6GB of RAM Sapphire ATI Radeon HD5850 1GB Any help would be appreciated. Thank you so much!
  12. Hi, I have a Hackintosh running Snow Leopard (only just upgraded to 10.6.8) that has decided to go belly up when I decided to reinstall voodooHDA. I suspect that I repaired permissions just prior to running voodoohda setup without rebooting first. I tried voodooHDA as I had just updated Final Cut Pro X via software updates and had lost sound except for some crackling. The system will boot to single-user mode command line, but trying to make the disk writeable with fsck -fy only results in a kernel panic with fsck as the relevant thread. I can ls the files on the drive but am unable to copy them to a newly formatted 1Tb external USB disk because I cannot make the system writeable. Naturally, voodooHDA-uninstall runs but can't do anything to a readonly disk. I have also tried to run diskutil from single user mode using launchctl load ...etc. and starting diskarbitration but that failed with a panic. Has anyone any ideas on how to get the system to boot successfully once again? It has been extremely stable until now, no doubt a factor in my complacency in not having an image available to rebuild it and my original USB stick installer is not playing nice. I do have the Snow Leopard upgrade disk though and could rebuild the original USB boot installer if needed (athough it will need a 50 mile round trip). Is there a possibility of doing an OS in-place reinstall without a reformat? A look at the Fsck_hfs log and the security.log seem to show system install issues as the last entries. I sometimes use the Apple keyboard directly connected to the Hackintosh when i need access to the special keys. Whoops! On rereading the above I seem to have forgotten my manners. I would appreciate any help anyone can give me on the above, please. But please be nice - I'm new here! If anyone can help please let me know what further information you need. Best wishes to all for the New Year.

    Lion 10.7.5. - Nvidia 650ti

  14. Hi guys, I try to install the Sierra, but I get the ban symbol, and -x -v I get this message why? I've done at the key and installed clover but I have a UEFI bios, is this the problem? attached the screeshoot the KP
  15. Hi guys, I have an Asus P6t Deluxe V2 board with a core i7 920, 12 gigs of ram (6 sticks), running 10.7.2. Everything is pretty much great except for the Kernel Panics I'm getting on restart/shutdown. I've repaired permissions already. Here are some screenshots of the KP after I attempt to restart. As always thanks in advance for looking this over and any suggestions/help/explanations, there is always more to learn with this hacking. https://dl.dumptruck.goldenfrog.com/p/yzVDvmlLq9/Kernel%20panic%202012-08-08%2007-25-33-096.jpg https://dl.dumptruck.goldenfrog.com/p/Pl3BskxBvz/Kernel%20Panic%202012-08-08%2007-25-36-719.jpg
  16. Well in short right now i can't boot the system without applehda being disabled. Also Clover acts weird it ignores timeout key and with "fast" key it simply throws me into its menu with blue background and cylinders instead of icons. How did it happened, well i decided to modify my applehda kext and i blocked nid 28 and 29 just like voodoohda does according to its getdump utility output. Here are those nodes (from ALSA dump): Node 28 [Pin Complex] wcaps 4195457: Stereo Control: name="CD Phantom Jack", index=0, device=0 Pincap 36: IN Detect Pin Default 1091637744: [N/A] Speaker at Ext Rear Conn = 1/8, Color = Black DefAssociation = 15, Sequence = 0 Misc = NO_PRESENCE Pin-ctls: 32: IN Unsolicited: tag=00, enabled=0 Power states: D0 D1 D2 D3 EPSS Power: setting=D0, actual=D0 Node 29 [Pin Complex] wcaps 4195328: Mono Pincap 32: IN Pin Default 1074054657: [N/A] Line Out at Ext N/A Conn = RCA, Color = UNKNOWN DefAssociation = 0, Sequence = 1 Pin-ctls: 32: IN Power states: D0 D1 D2 D3 EPSS Power: setting=D0, actual=D0 I've blocked those nodes, placed my new pin config into legacy kext, put legacy kext like always into /efi/clover/kexts. However i decided to install AppleHDA with Kext Utility by cvad instead of installing it manually in /S/L/E. After i rebooted i got kernel panic, then i rolled back to my previous applehda and legacy kext - again i got kernel panic, then i removed legacy kext and still i got kernel panic. I can't even boot into yosemite installer without disabling applehda. What i've tried so far: sudo nvram -c upgrade / downgrade bios reset bios by unplugging battery reinstall clover. cleared all system caches Formated HDD Restored bios from backup bios "dual bios" AppleHDA in /System/Library/Extensions not patched, all patches done via clover, i use abxite's method replacing xml with zml. pinconfig is inside of legacy kext I was using Applehda since Mountain Lion and on Yosemite 2, until now. So AppleHDA is pretty native, excluding it has additional 2 zml files in its resources. Attaching config.plist and kernel panic report. I hope some1 will help me, cause i don't have any idea why system and installer still gets kernel panic with clean applehda, thanks. Excuse me for my english, i hope it is understandable. Well i finally found a solution, the reason of this odd behaveour was the new kext in 10.10.1 (v. 267) and wrong AMPs caused kernel panic because hardware codec started acting wrong itself. With kexts from previous versions like 266.5 there would be no sound at all but no kernel panic, until hackintosh will be booted with Clover's key ResetHDA. Once booted with this key solves the problem and no kernel panics because of native applehda. And once again clover saves the day! applehda kp.rtf
  17. Hello, I'm trying to install Hackintosh OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.3 (Hazard) on a PC with the following components: Gigabyte GA-770GA-UD3, AMD Phenom II X4 945, 4GB DDR3, ATI Radeon HD 5770, Maxtor 250GB S-ATA II (Hard Disk 1), Samsung 500GB S-ATA II (Hard Disk 2), and two optical drives. I've already changed S-ATA Mode in the BIOS (from IDE to AHCI), but during the installation I get a Kernel Panic error (as you can see in the attached image). I hope you can help me to solve this problem. Thank you very much.
  18. As you can see in the title my Hack restarts automatically after shutting down telling me that the computer rebooted because of a problem... My MB is a Gigabyte Z87 D3HP, I've got a GTX 650 and a i5 processor. I use Clover as my BootLoader and use the attached config file and I don't use dsdt. If I should provide more info please let me know as this is my first post on this forum Thanks in advance report.txt config.plist.txt DarwinDumper_2.9.8_AMI_X64_3241_Yos_ClemaX.zip

  20. Hi! So i installed 10.8.4 on this Dell Inspiron n4030 with a first-gen core i3 CPU, thinking it would be a piece of cake except for the graphics. Well, in the end get the graphics running was rather easy, but the supposedly easy part, enabling native power management, it's being a pain. Tried with a MacBookPro 6,1 definition, since these computers did use the first generation core i CPU, but no dice. Always getting a kernel panic very early on the boot. I haven't done many troubleshooting steps besides toggle SpeedStep off and on in the BIOS, since Google searches didn't return many similar cases to mine. Any help will be much appreciated! Here's my DarwinDumper report: DarwinDumper_2.4.9_Chameleon_2.2_ML_1084.zip All the best!
  21. Hi guys, Need help installing Sierra. The following are the specs : - Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650 3Ghz - HP Intel 441449-001 motherboard - Gigabyte GT240 - 6GB DDR2 RAM - Seagate 500GB 7200 HDD I tried booting from installer but endup with a kernel panic. Tried all these boot flags(kext-dev-mode=1 acpi=off GraphicsEnabler=No PCIRootUID=1 -v -x) in all combinations but it didn't work. I have attached a picture of the kernel panic below. Thanks.
  22. I recently updated my T520 hackintosh to macOS High Sierra, works great with one exception; sleeping/waking. I've noticed that if I have the bluetooth switch on the laptop turned on, it'll kernel panic when waking from sleep mode, otherwise it'll work fine. Any suggestions for getting sleep mode to work with bluetooth being turned on? It used to work in Sierra.. Ill attach a copy of the kernel panic that seems to occur. Note: I get the same result with darkwake=0

    ACPI Kernel Panic...Help?

My specs are in my signature, along with a very important message for you all. Alrighty, here's my situation. I boot up from my clover USB, which has El Capitan on it as well (Created with BootDiskUtility). I start in with the following boot flags: "nv_disable=1 GraphicsEnabler=No -s -x -v -f". Under the El Pwn image, this would get me to the installer but would immediately tell me that OS X is already installed. Problem is, none of my drives have ever been touched by OS X. So I moved to BDU and now it throws me an error regarding AppleACPIPlatform.kext Does anyone have a solution to this problem? So far the forum posts that describe my problem are unanswered.
  24. I'm hoping someone can help me figure out this annoying, sporadic kernel panic. What happens is upon boot everything seems ok, bios > boot loader > into OS X (screen w/the apple) but right before the login screen it panics and restarts. Sometimes it boots correctly, other times it takes 3 or 4 tries before getting to the login. It seems to have started after upgrading to a GTX 970. I've searched the forums for help but the closest I found was this thread, but the suggestions haven't helped. Changing the SMBIOS doesn't seem to make any difference either. When it is working it works very nicely. Any help would be really appreciated.
