  1. Hi guys, this thread is to show you a new and open source app, created by me, that I called TINU: The name means: TINU Is Not #####, the U refers to a popular software that is used to create Mac OS hackintosh installers (that for good reasons is banned on this forum), but the aim of the name is to explain that this app is a totally different thing from that software and works in a totally different way. This app basically is a graphical interface for the createinstallmedia executable that is inside the Mac OS installer apps, it is capable to create a Mac OS installer on a drive completely vanilla like what you do using the command line method, and also this method is recommended by apple itself. Allows you to create easily a macOS install media without messing around with command line stuff and without using disk utility, all you need to do is use the app and then install clover on the usb drive once TINU has finished or leave it as is you want to use it on a Mac. Features: - Simple to use UI that allows you to easily start the macOS install media creation process - It can work with every Mac OS installer app that has the createinstallmedia executable inside of it's resources folder (including also beta and newly released installers) - You can use any drive or partition you want that can be erased and is at least 7 GB of size - Works on Mac OS recovery, so you can create a macOS install media from a bootable macOS installer or from the macOs recovery - All vanilla, the macOS install medias created with this tool are 100% vanilla, just like you created them using the command line "createinstallmedia" method - Open source, you will know what this program does on your computer and also you can create your own version by downloading and playing with the source code - Does not requires to do anything of special first, just open the program - No need to go in disk utility first, TINU can format your drive for you - Uses recent and more modern APIs and SDKs and Swift 3 language - Transparent graphics style available (use alt + s on the keyboard or View->Use transparent style) - Works using the latest versions of macOS and will also support newer Mac installers out of the box without needing for an update Features that I'd like to add in the future: - Advanced section, to customize your macOS install media - Installer customization: Kernelcache/prelinkedknerel and boot files replacement (a feature that can be handy while dealing with old Macs or with beta installers when you need to mod or change the boot files some times) - Install clover and configure clover - Install kexts inside the kexts folder of clover - Clover drivers customization - Use custom dsdt in clover - integrated pre-made clover config templates database from a remote and open repository - Support for other languages, at least Italian Rquirements: - A computer that runs Mac OS X Yosemite or a more recent version (Mac OS X El Capitan is required to use TINU in a macOS recovery or installer) - A drive or a free partition of at least 7 GB that you want to turn into a macOS/Mac OS X installer - A copy of a macOS/Mac OS X installer app (Maveriks or newer versions are supported) in the /Applications folder or in the root of any storage drive in your machine (excepted the drive or volume you want to turn into your macOS install media) Note that this app is under the GNU GPL v3 license so any reuse of the source code must follow the license's terms TINU 1.1 Stable release: - Download available here: https://github.com/ITzTravelInTime/TINU/releases - Source code: https://github.com/ITzTravelInTime/TINU TINU 2.0 pre-release: - Source code: https://github.com/ITzTravelInTime/TINU/tree/development - Download available here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/nvzss51qcieynve/TINU.zip Frequently asked questions about TINU: https://github.com/ITzTravelInTime/TINU/wiki/FAQs NOTE: if you have problems with your USB installer of 10.13.4 or newer version not being detected by clover you have to use the latest clover and if it still does not detectets your usb installer you have to remove the invivible file called .IAPhysicalMedia located into the root of the usb installer. This issue is caused by a changement in the apple's createinstallmedia, don't blame TINU for that, tinu does only uses the installer creation method from apple, which has been changed, causing this problem for hackintosh users, this issue should be resolved in the latest versions of clover which will no longer require that you do changements to let your usb dive to be detected, a setting to do this fix automatically in tinu is also comeing in a new pre-release of TINU 2 I leave also some screenshots as well
  2. Hi all. Recently I was working on new utility for kexts. Seems to be finished, so I decided to show this app on international forum. Features: 1. Maintenance: Repair permissions, and rebuild cache for Extra and System/Library/Extensions. Both directories: Extra/Extensions and Extra/KextStore are supported. 2. Installation: Install kexts to Extra or S/L/E and create mkext. 3. Unpacker: Check mkext's content kexts and unpack it. 4. Kext Information: Check kext's architectures and dependencies. 5. Loaded: Shows list of currently loaded kexts in system. There's no need to repair permissions in Disk Utility, after using this tool. Installation and Maintenance can be executed for any OS X partition. Not only /. Works on Snow Leopard, Lion and Mountain Lion. Universal binary: x86_64 and i386. Download links: http://wizards.osxlatitude.com/kext/download.html Please report me any bugs or ideas for new features. I would never make this application without support and ideas by osx86.org.pl team. Thank you, guys! Thanks to q64ceo for allowing me to host my applications. 3.
  4. Guide--Creating a OS X installer(Iatkos ML2)from windows only. Note:This guide is for those who don't have access to a mac and for some reasons cannot install the retail image on virtualbox. What you will need:::: 1.A Windows PC. 2.Two USB Flash drives. One of at least 8 GB and the other of atleast 1 GB. 3.dmg2img,Win32diskimager,and bootdiskutility. 4.Last but not the least,an Iatkos_ML2 image based on OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.2.(I cannot provide you the link to download Iatkos. You are on your own in downloading this one.) NOTE : Iatkos distributions are the modified copies of Mac OS X made to be able to work on a PC. I STRONGLY ADVISE USE THIS TEMPORARILY to set up OS X on your computer and then create a installer from a LEGACY PURCHASED retail image. For more info on Iatkos visit http://iatkos.me The Steps::::: 1.Connect the 1 GB USB stick on your computer. 2.Run Bootdiskutility, select your USB from the list and click on Format disk. The utility will install clover and chameleon bootloaders on your USB drive. 3.Decompress the dmg2img folder and move the Iatkos_ML2.dmg file in the folder containing the dmg2img.exe file. 4.Right click on the folder containing dmg2img.exe while HOLDING DOWN SHIFT KEY i.e Shift+Right click and select "Open command window here" from the context menu. 5.On the command window type the following without the quotes "dmg2img Iatkos_ML2.dmg" and press enter. This will create a Iatkos_ML2.img file in the same folder.(see screenshot) 6.Now plugin your 8 GB USB drive,Decompress the win32diskimager folder and run the win32diskimager.exe file.Select the Iatkos_ML2.img file created in previous step and your 8 GB USB drive and click on Write.Ignore the warnings. This will write the OS X installer on the USB drive.(see screenshot) 7.Now plugin both your USB drives on the computer on which you want to install OS X.On the boot prompt SELECT THE 1 GB USB DRIVE.Clover bootloader will be loaded and your OS X installer USB will show up on the boot devices list.DONT CLICK DIRECTLY ON THE INSTALLER.CLICK ON "BOOT UEFI MENU FROM CLOVER" FIRST AND THEN SELECT YOUR INSTALLER.Also don't change any of the clover settings. OS X installer must boot now on your computer. You will see that the installer language is in Russian, you can change that easily by clicking on the first box. NOTE:Chameleon bootloader cannot detect the USB created by this method.

    iKext (kext installer)

    Version 2.0

    4,937 downloads

A fast, simple kernel extension (kext) installer that I created for personal use and thought I'd share with you folks here. It's strictly compliant with Apple's guidelines for installing extensions, meaning that it does not force-recreate caches like other kext installer utilities (which gave me some strange issues, and is the reason behind creating this tool). Provided as-is without warranty of any kind. Tested and working perfectly on macOS 10.12 Sierra.
  9. Hi I am try to install High Sierra, as per ##### I have have successfully booted from the install usb drive and have booted into "Install macOS High Sierra". I had to add a boot flag (-no_compat_check) to the clover bootloader in order for the usb stick to boot properly. Also, at first I couldn't see the SSD drive in disk utility, but I fixed that by asking disk utility to show all drives. Onto the current problem. I am having major issues trying to install High Sierra to a NVMe SSD. When I run "Install macOS High "Sierra" I get the following error: "The version of macOS installed on this mac is newer than the version you are trying to install. When a new update is available, you can install it from the Updates plane in the Mac App Store. If you want to reinstall macOS, please use macOS recovery." Also, It doesn't matter if the startup volume is formatted as APFS or HFS+. If I format the drive using GPARTED on linux, the installer just says the startup volume doesn't have journaling enable. If I then run disk utility and enable journaling on the startup volume, then go back to the installer, I get the aforementioned error msg. I have the following specs: i9-7900. Asus Prime X299 Deluxe. ADATA 512GB NVMe SSD. How do I fix this issue?
  10. My App Store will only download the High Sierra 13.2.01 installer and I have had some issues with that version so I need High Sierra 13.1 but I can’t get it from the App Store anymore. I was able to get a 13.1.05 installer from somewhere and I now want to verify that it is genuine. The checksums for InstallESD.dmg and BaseSystem.dmg match the 10.13.1 (17B48) ones as found at: https://github.com/notpeter/apple-installer-checksums But I want to make sure that tools like createinstallmedia are also genuine. So I am looking for the SHA1 (or md5) hashes of all files in the installer app bundle. There is a great open-source osx verification project at https://sektioneins.de/en/blog/16-01-08-osx_verify.html that does exactly what I want but unfortunately High Sierra versions have not been added. It basically is a json with the hashes for all files in the bundle. Is there anyone willing to provide me with all hashes of their Install macOS High Sierra 10.13.1.05 app bundle? The tool from the link is a python script that iterates all files in the bundle, calculates the hashes, and writes it to a json file. It can be used like so: git clone https://github.com/sektioneins/osx_verify cd osx_verify ./osx_verify.py --scan <insert path to 13.1.05 installer app here> --store 'Install macOS High Sierra.13.1.05.app.json' --description 'Install macOS High Sierra.13.1.05.app' The json file will be created in the osx_verify/db folder. If someone can post their json file here, or if someone has another way of verifying all the files in the bundle I would be grateful.
  11. Hey, I have a bunch of issues installing High Sierra on my new build. As far as I can tell the biggest problem is getting the correct MacOs Installer. The ones I have tried either don´t show up in Clover (no Installer icon), or keep looping when booting. • I have tried downloading High Sierra via my (El Capitan) MacBook Pro - but App store won´t allow me to download more than the small 19 MB version. • I tried signing up to Apple´s Beta program, but no full version of High Sierra is available there either. • I have downloaded via some "macOS High Sierra Patcher.dmg" I found - but the installer was corrupt somehow. • I downloaded a .dmg file from another source - but that version seems to be completely wrong (says the Installer version is 13.0.63 (1363) but I can´t find any reference for that installer anywhere, so it´s probably fake or corrupted) Can anyone help me find a source of an ORIGINAL, working, FULL version of the High Sierra Installer? Or perhaps tell me a way to download the full version from App Store? Either 10.13.2 or just the first version; 10.13.0 That would be a HUGE help! Thanks a lot in advance

  14. This is a brief guide on how to create a vanilla El Capitan (also same process for Sierra) OS X Installer USB with an updated prelinked kernel containing FakeSMC. It is tailored for those users who want to understand the “nuts and bolts” of how to create an installer and also to help brush up on their terminal skills (rather than have one made for them with the numerous automated “tools” available or even Apple’s createinstallmedia) : Specifically, it is also a “Proof of Concept” which shows that installation is possible without even having to rely on boot loader kext injection. Prerequisites Existing Yosemite installation (or Mavericks - see post#4 for steps 7,8) “Install OS X El Capitan.app" downloaded to the Applications folder Pacifist FakeSMC.kext - Slice or Kozlek branch Bootloader - Clover or Chameleon 8GB or larger USB drive (16GB recommended), formatted HFS+ (MBR or GUID) named “Installer” Procedure 1. Boot into Yosemite with the kext-dev-mode=1 boot flag 2. Open OS X terminal and type the following lines, followed by <Enter> after each line. The image restore and file copying may take a while to complete, and at the end of the process, the Installer volume is renamed to “OS X Base System".... sudo -s hdiutil attach /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ El\ Capitan.app/Contents/SharedSupport/InstallESD.dmg asr restore -source /Volumes/OS\ X\ Install\ ESD/BaseSystem.dmg -target /Volumes/Installer -erase -format HFS+ -noprompt -noverify rm /Volumes/OS\ X\ Base\ System/System/Installation/Packages cp -av /Volumes/OS\ X\ Install\ ESD/Packages /Volumes/OS\ X\ Base\ System/System/Installation cp -av /Volumes/OS\ X\ Install\ ESD/BaseSystem.dmg /Volumes/OS\ X\ Install\ ESD/BaseSystem.chunklist /Volumes/OS\ X\ Base\ System diskutil unmount /Volumes/OS\ X\ Install\ ESD exit 3. Right click on the “OS X Base System” Volume and click “Get Info” 4. Click on the lock icon and untick “Ignore ownership on this volume” 5. Extract/Copy the El Capitan Kernels folder into /System/Library/ of the USB with Pacifist. NB It is found in the "Essentials.pkg" in /System/Installation/Packages 6. Delete or Rename the original /System/Library/PrelinkedKernels/prelinkedkernel —> OG.prelinkedkernel 7. Copy FakeSMC.kext and other necessary kexts (e.g. VoodooPS2Controller.kext for laptops) into the /Library/Extensions folder of the installer USB using Finder. 8. Back in terminal, type the following lines, followed by <Enter> after each line to rebuild the prelinkedkernel….. sudo -s chmod -R 755 /Volumes/OS\ X\ Base\ System/Library/Extensions chown -R 0:0 /Volumes/OS\ X\ Base\ System/Library/Extensions touch /Volumes/OS\ X\ Base\ System/System/Library/Extensions kextcache -u /Volumes/OS\ X\ Base\ System exit Any errors should be noted but the output below is normal e.g. 9. Install your Bootloader targeting the OS X Base System volume 10. Boot your system with the USB without injected kexts into the OS X Installer GUI.... Post Install The original prelinked kernel in a fresh install of El Capitan will also lack FakeSMC ie it will only be linked to Apple signed kexts. In order to boot into El Capitan the first time around without boot loader kext injection, the PLK needs to be rebuilt for the El Capitan volume like we did for the installer: 1. Boot into Yosemite with the kext-dev-mode=1 boot flag 2. Delete or Rename the original /System/Library/PrelinkedKernels/prelinkedkernel for the El Capitan volume —> OG.prelinkedkernel 3. Copy FakeSMC.kext and other necessary kexts (e.g. VoodooPS2Controller.kext for laptops) into the /Library/Extensions folder of El Capitan using Finder 4. Back in terminal, type the following lines, followed by <Enter> after each line to rebuild the prelinkedkernel. In this example, the El Capitan volume is named "El_Capitan" - change if you have named it something else... sudo -s chmod -R 755 /Volumes/El_Capitan/Library/Extensions chown -R 0:0 /Volumes/El_Capitan/Library/Extensions touch /Volumes/El_Capitan/System/Library/Extensions kextcache -u /Volumes/El_Capitan exit 5. Install your Bootloader targeting the El Capitan volume. This step is only necessary if you are installing El Capitan on a new drive without existing boot loader (not required if installing on a disk with existing boot loader beside Yosemite). 6. Reboot your system without injected kexts into El Capitan! Other links The All-In-One Guide to Vanilla OS X for beginners Updates for Sierra and High Sierra Custom Prelinkedkernel Generator Tool I have made a custom prelinkedkernel generator "PLK.tool" for Sierra + El Capitan. Instructions: 1. Download and extract the attached BaseSystem_PLK.tool.zip into your ~/Downloads folder. 2. Copy any extra kexts necessary for booting your hack to ~/Downloads/BaseSystem/ExtraKexts (e.g. FakeSMC, VoodooPS2Controller), making sure SIP is disabled. 3. Copy BaseSystem.dmg to ~/Downloads/BaseSystem 4. Open terminal and run the following commands... cd ~/Downloads/BaseSystem chmod +x PLK.tool ./PLK.tool ---> supply your admin password ---> will place your new custom prelinkedkernel on the desktop. macOS High Sierra bypass Firmware and MBR checks in post#13. 15. Obviously, I know it has something to do with CPU power management or FakeSMC not initiating for some reason, but I've tried: Replacing FakeSMC with a new fresh one from RehabMan's repo booting with almost every flag i can think of trying to use a clean install from the terminal and with clover Using Pandora's Box to create the installer My specs are: Intel Core i3 - 4360 NVIDIA Gigabyte GeForce GTX 950 OC Edition (OC'd a bit) powering 2 monitors, 1 HDMI and 1 DVI. GA-Z97M-DS3H My machine is currently running 10.11.5 on El Capitan, and I've ran Yosemite on it before, so obviously it is capable, but I'm pretty confused at to why my machine won't boot the installer. The only issues I've ever run into were having to set up CodecCommander for my current Install using Clover. I'm booting UEFI btw. If anyone could help me out I'd really appreciate it. I can provide anything you need such as IOReg, etc.
  16. Disk Warrior shot up a hardware error ("5, 1502" whatever that means) with my boot drive yesterday and now I'm wondering, in the process of replacing this drive (because hardware failure will be complete failure with hard drives), if there's a way to create a bootable installer thumb drive with NVIDIA's WebDrivers so I can actually see a screen. Also, I'm hoping that after a clean installation I can use my Time Machine backups to get my system back to where it was? TIA for your patience.
  17. How to make a bootable OS X 10.9 Mavericks USB install drive on LINUX This guide describes step by step how you can make a Mavericks USB installer on Linux without any running OS X. Prerequisites -empty USB stick of minimum size 8GB -copy of Mavericks -working Linux (virtualized is also OK) with following installed packages: hfsplus, hfsprogs, gparted, p7zip -at least 15GB free space on your system -time Steps 1. Check the downloaded installer You should have something similar location with the main DMG file "YOUR_PATH/Install OS X Mavericks.app/Contents/SharedSupport" Open a terminal window, go to this directory and check the MD5 cd YOUR_PATH/Install\ OS\ X\ Mavericks.app/Contents/SharedSupport/ md5sum InstallESD.dmg 10.9 (13A603) f222952400db8535c03697c3293e168e 10.9.1 (13B42) f67bf055be1a494eb2547e17e74a0c13 10.9.2 (13C64) fdb286dd1a321eb9ae1bd136d5d388c3 10.9.3 (13D65) 0c45a5fec46d157e8f892c11b840daf2 10.9.4 (13E28) 9d9aeba42a9fb2cf6d2f2e8c18827f83 10.9.5 (13F34) a418ad26903961b060d7df02884a6511 2. Prepare the USB stick Create a new MBR partition layout on your USB stick and add a primary HFS+ filesystem. I prefer using gparted. Steps in this program: -choose your USB stick at upper right corner -go to menu: Device / Create partition table and select msdos -go to menu: Partition / New and create a primary parition with HFS+ filesystem. The label can be osx86. -go to menu Edit and apply all your pending changes If the above is done, mount the newly created partition to /media/osx86/ 3. Copy OS X's files The InstallESD.dmg contains another InstallESD.dmg file. We need that. cd YOUR_PATH/Install\ OS\ X\ Mavericks.app/Contents/SharedSupport/ 7z x InstallESD.dmg InstallMacOSX.pkg/InstallESD.dmg We got the a new InstallESD.dmg file. This file contains an HFS partition, we are extracting it. cd InstallMacOSX.pkg/ 7z x InstallESD.dmg 3.hfs Now we can delete the unnecessary DMG file. rm InstallESD.dmgMount the HFS file, do this with root rights (sudo or su - depending on your distribution) sudo mkdir /mnt/osx sudo mount -o loop 3.hfs /mnt/osx/ Extract the HFS partition from the BaseSystem.dmg mkdir base cd base (We are here: YOUR_PATH/Install\ OS\ X\ Mavericks.app/Contents/SharedSupport/InstallMacOSX.pkg/base) 7z x /mnt/osx/BaseSystem.dmg 3.hfs Mount the new HFS file as well, do this with root rights sudo mkdir /mnt/base sudo mount -o loop 3.hfs /mnt/base/ Copy the files to the USB stick, do this with root rights I suppose your USB drive is mounted here: /media/osx86/ sudo cp -r /mnt/base/. /media/osx86 sudo rm /media/osx86/System/Installation/Packages sudo cp -r /mnt/osx/Packages /media/osx86/System/Installation Clean, do this with root rights sudo umount /mnt/base sudo rmdir /mnt/base sudo umount /mnt/osx sudo rmdir /mnt/osx Delete other unnecessary files We are still here: YOUR_PATH/Install\ OS\ X\ Mavericks.app/Contents/SharedSupport/InstallMacOSX.pkg/base cd ../../ rm -r InstallMacOSX.pkg Kernel is in the Packages/BaseSystemBinaries.pkg. We are extracting it. mkdir kernel cd kernel 7z x -so /media/osx86/System/Installation/Packages/BaseSystemBinaries.pkg Payload | bunzip2 | cpio -i Copy kernel to the right place, do this with root rights sudo cp mach_kernel /media/osx86/ Delete the garbage cd .. rm -r -f kernel/ 4. Install the Chameleon bootloader Download the binary version of it and extract it http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/file/59-chameleon-22-svn/ Find the dev file depending on your mount point: mount | grep osx86 For example I got this: /dev/sdb1 on /media/osx86 type hfsplus (rw,nosuid,nodev,relatime,umask=22,uid=0,gid=0,nls=utf8,uhelper=udisks) So the dev file will be /dev/sdb for the writing of MBR: sudo dd bs=446 count=1 if=boot0 of=/dev/sdb and /dev/sdb1 for the writing the begining of the HFS+ partition: sudo dd if=boot1h of=/dev/sdb1 Copy the boot file to the root of your USB stick sudo cp boot /media/osx86 5. Install essential kexts FakeSMC Download and extract it http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/file/107-fakesmc-w-haswell-cpu-sensor-for-1089/ sudo cp -r FakeSMC.kext/ /media/osx86/System/Library/Extensions/ NullCPUPowerManagement Download and extract it http://www.osx86.net/files/file/3465-nullcpupowermanagement-32-64-bit/ sudo cp -r NullCPUPowerManagement.kext/ /media/osx86/System/Library/Extensions/ 6. Optional - Install MBR patch http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/file/145-mavericks-mbr-patch/ sudo tar zxvf Mavericks_GM_MBR_Patch.tar.gz -C /media/osx86/ 7. Troubleshooting If you get this weird error message: "There was a problem reading the Mac OS X Installation disc. Carefully clean the disc, and then try reinstalling.", use the below command sudo chmod 6755 /media/osx86/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Install.framework/Versions/A/Resources/runner 8. Finally DONE
  18. I'm trying to install Yosemite on my HP XW6600 Workstation. Specs: CPU: Dual Intel Xeon E5410 @ 2.3GHz RAM: 16GB GPU: GTX 950 1GB When trying to get to the installer I got a kernel panic saying "Unable to find driver for this platform: \"ACPI"\" but I managed to bypass that by booting with "-f -v -x acpi=off" and now I get another KP saying "pmap_steal_memory" and I have no idea what's the cause of this.

  22. Hi there! So I got a OSX install USB. I boot from it, Clover shows. In there are options to boot from Windows or the install usb. I boot from the install usb. After a minute or two of the apple logo with the spinning circle I come back to clover. I try the install USB again, it comes back to clover again. What should I try? By the way I'm following this guide: http://cloverboot.weebly.com/install-osx.html And where it shows the apple logo screen, it comes back to the clover screen after a minute or so. Thank you so much!! Intel i7 4790 Gigabyte Z97X-SLI MSI Nvidia 960 4GB 8GB Corsair RAM Windows 10
  23. Hi. I'm new in the forums, so if this topic already exist, I didn't find it. It may be a dummy question, but I've been searching all around the web for 2 days and I haven't found the right answer. I think for this question I have tu use an example IMPORTANT .. in the next example I DIDN'T USE ANY KIND OF BOOTLOADER 1.- In VMWare the new machine is created as mac, and nothing important to be modified 2.- the installer is created in an already existing (virtual) mac (may be a Niresh one) 3.- In the past .. I used to create an installer (VERY IMPORTANT - to be used in VIRTUAL MACHINES, and AMD CPU), let's say Mavericks installer. I created a new HD (which was used as a USB stick), then I did the restore procedure to get the installer. then the only thing to be replaced was the mach_kernel in root of the installer, so I copied and replaced that kernel for the patched one. then I attached this HD (the installer) to the new Virtual Machine and booted from the HD just created (the installer), and the installer ran without issues. I installed the OS and the last step was boot from the installer again, utilities -> terminal and go to replace the kernel in the root of the new created system. and everything worked nice!!! MY BIG QUESTION: BUT .. in YOSEMITE and EL CAPITAN --- I can't find where is the kernel in the installer just created to be replaced for the patched one!!! please take in account that I'm not using any kind of bootloader!! I created the /System/Library/Kernels directory (in the installer) and dropped the patched kernel there, but didn't work .. it seems like the installer reads the kernel from other source I hope someone can help me. My stuff: OS: Linux (Kubuntu) CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 GPU: Nvidia GTS 250 MB: ASUS m2n sli deluxe RAM: 8GB Thanks Guillermo

I attached the Clover folder from the EFI partition as a zip. I generated a DSDT and edited the CPU section to prevent a KP (should have 8 threads but only found 7 on Die 0), both the original and the edited DSDTs are included in the zip. Now my problem: Every time when I try to boot the installer I get stuck at the same point (shown in the picture): I presume its something regarding USB, because in the DSDT is nothing to find regarding USB. Could it be possible that the installer cant mount the dmg file, because it cant access the drive due to the missing USB devices in the DSDT ? I hope someone can help me with this problem Greetings from Germany and thanks in advance Adrian
  25. Hello everyone! I am trying to install El Capitan 10.11.4 on my laptop Asus X751LX using Clover. I managed to succesfully reach the install with no problems, but when I go to Disk Utility in order to prepare my HD, it simply isn't on the list.
