  2. After successful instalation of mavericks on my dell inspiron 15r 5521 i found that ican boot sucessfully on safe mode only with -x, but i can't boot it normally it gives me these errors as attached in the screenshot
  3. I recently successfully installed Mac OS 10.7.2 via iAtkos L2, even though I couldn't use my trackpad nor my usb mouse. I did a format of the hard drive via iAtkos V7 (The only one which boots perfectly) and then, using only the keyboard, I installed everything. But when I got it to boot, it gave me a kernel panic: "cpu (3) is failing to respond to interrupts". I tried booting with ignore cache and it didn't go past the Apple grey boot screen, and also in safe mode (-x), which also gave me the same panic. At the moment I can't install Lion in any way, because iAtkos S3v2 gives me, ironically, the same kernel panic L2 does. It's frustrating, since my laptop is really performant and brand new, so I would appreciate any help given
  4. System Specs: Model: Dell Inspiron 5558 CPU: Core i7 5500U RAM: 16GB Graphics: nVidia 920M (which is disabled by nv_disable=1 boot argument) / Intel HD5500 Problem: I was able to install El Capitan on my system using Rehabman's config.plist for HD5500. I had to disable inject intel in order to get the installer up and running. I know I can't get full qe/ci support without proper ig-platform-id (which is defined in the plist provided by Rehabman's). But when I inject ig-platform-id the system keeps rebooting right after the following message: Waiting for DSMOS... IOGraphics flags 0x43 Previous shutdown cause: 5 **** [IOBluetoothHostControllerUSBTransport][start] -- completed -- result = TRUE -- 0xb000 *** (Screenshot attached)

  7. My situation is really strange. I installed Windows 8.1 and Mavericks in one hard disk drive with three partitions, one for each operating system and one just for storage purpose. Since my wireless network card (BCM943142HM) is not usable in OS X, I bought a USB Wifi Adapter (TP-LINK TL-WN725N) so that I could access internet. But when I use a lot of internet bandwidth (downloading torrents) the computer freezes completely. So I decided to work heavy internet use in Windows and just specific tasks on OS X. I’ve been using my computer in this way for almost 8 months without any additional issues. But recently I found somewhere that in order to stop the random freezes caused by the high internet’s bandwidth use, I had to disable Spotlight. So I did it, but the freezes continued. However I noticed that I could use the computer for a longer period of time before it froze again. So here is the problem. Yesterday, after some of this freezes I restarted the computer and now it beeps 8 times while booting indicating a display problem according to Dell, and the display shows up like this while booting and in Windows: But inside OS X the screen turns off. When I perform the display test according to Dell (holding down the D key and then pressing the Power button to turn on the computer) it shows solid colours indicating that the display panel is working correctly. Right now I’m using an external monitor connected to the HDMI port which is working correctly in both operating systems. Inside OS X it’s like there is no display panel connected to the graphics adapter, and in Windows it detects the display panel as a generic monitor. I’m really concerned about this. I know this is not a common problem, so I would appreciate any help!

  9. Hi Y'all I have installed OSX in many desktops and some laptops since 10.4 so I am a little experienced on the subtleties of the process. I recently installed Sierra from El Capitan and then High Sierra on my desktop. Not bragging just to state that I know how to do this. I ask help after 3 days of searching in the forum and elsewhere, trying to apply some concepts read to no avail. Given this, I tried to install Sierra 10.12.6 in a Dell Inspiron 3458, Intel I3 (Haswell), 6 GB, and 128SSD. MoBo is Dell, Haswell ULT chipset and southbridge H8x/P8x (CPU-Z) Tried with a SSD already installed 10.12.6 which is working in a desktop and with the USB standard install. The result, in both cases and MANY config.plist options, BIOS options (the usual disable thread, vt etc) is the image attached. One can see the Clover Boot Selection screen has started to boot ( set to verbose), see the process until the +++++++++++++++ shows and then it resets WITHOUT a panic or any other message. The USB was used to set the desktop, which is Intel i7, and GT620 so the only big difference is the graphics card being integrated in the HD4400. The config.plist is attached, its bare minimum, inject intel, verbose, x86-64, CPUS=1, rootless, SMBIOS is a MacBookAir5,2 (also tried other smbios). I can not see what is crashing the system, presumably the kexts in the Clover Other directory which again are minimum and most recent, FakeSMC, IntelGraphicsFixUp, lilu, NullCPUPowerManagement. Clover was installed using UEFI option cause the Laptop does not see a non UEFI drive (no bootable device found....). EFI/Boot/bootx64efi is present. Ill appreciate any pointers or links that can help solve this. Thanks. Sorry, had to post it to see a similar one. Please disregard. config.plist.zip

  11. Guide to install Yosemite on Dell Inspiron 3x37 - 5x37 -7x37 series !!!!! mainly Dell Inspiron 3437 3537 3737 5437 5537 5737 7437 7537 7737 This original guide is this and all credit goes to "pokenguyen"(thanks bro) Please note!!! It's always better to perform a full system+data backup of your current system. What's working/not working: Built in webcam not working!! By replacing Intel WiFi card with BCM4352HMB WiFi +BT working flawlessly(the card that i used is this ) Requirements. 8 GB or more USB flash drive(16GB required for El cap) Empty/ ready to empty HDD/SSD to install OS X system alongside with your laptop. This guide can even use wisely to install most of the laptops with Intel processor with integrated graphics. Internet connection(for some steps) PRE-INSTALLATION:- STEP 1: Create a bootable USB In this step you'll need to access to a real mac (or existing mackintosh) create a bootable usb.(if you have problems regarding how to create a bootable usb simply google it ) STEP 2: CREATE OUR CLOVER USB DRIVE : Now we can create our clover usb for clover boot loader create a partition 'size>300Mb' and place this folder inside that usb (for this step it's better if you can use separate USB flash drive for this task) STEP 3: Bios Setup Update your system bios to latest version (currently A13), Disk: AHCI Intel Rapid Storage: Disabled UEFI Boot: Enabled Secure Boot: Disabled Legacy Rom: Enabled STEP 4: Boot into OS X : Now turn off your laptop and plug both clover USB and bootable OS X USB and boot from your clover USB.(press F12 at boot) If everything goes well Clover boot-loader screen will show up !!! Then you need to press F4 button to extract DSDT/SSDT for your laptop(don''t worry i'll explain this later -Just follow the guide carefully) Extraction DSDT/SSDT may take while(about 5-6 seconds) so please wait until complete the process(you can feel that while extraction DSDT/SSDT system may not response to your key presses). select Boot OS X Install from "name of your OS X Installer partition"). If you're get lucky to get into welcome screen(most of time you should) use Disk Utility to format your drive as GPT, create a Mac OS X Extended (Journaled) partition to install Yosemite/El Capitan. After installation complete (may take about 20-30 minuets-depending on your HDD/SSD speed) After installation completed system will ask to restart the machine and this stage also you must boot with your clover usb and then select partition which you installed OS X Yosemite.(it's better not to sign in to your apple id and back off from apple services until you get a stable rig) If everything goes well, you can boot in to Yosemite desktop POST INSTALLATION:- STEP 5: After finished the pre-installation,there are several methods to complete the post installation so here i'll be guiding you the simplest method with great tool ( thanks to pokenguyen for creating such tool) Download this tool here .and select CloverUEFI RTL8111 (for 7x37) or RTL8100 Ethernet (for 3x37-5x37) Tools > IASL Tools > Clover Configurator. Tools > SSDTGenerator. Fixes > Hibernate Mode > Disable Hibernate STEP 6: After installation finished of the above step the EFI partition will mounted automatically. Copy config.plist from your USB to (/EFI/Clover/ of EFI partition), then use "Clover Configurator" to IMPORT config.plist (in EFI partition) and edit those values: Uncheck: ACPI > Generate PStates/CStates. SMBIOS: create your new SMBIOS (Macbook Pro 11,1 or Macbook Air 6,2) with appropriate Serial Number. Then EXPORT config.plist to /EFI/Clover/ of EFI partition.(not to your usb path) Copy from (/Extra/SSDT.aml ) to (/EFI/Clover/ACPI/patched/) STEP 7: Now navigate to (/EFI/Clover/ACPI/origin/) from USB (which dumped by F4 at Clover screen). Create a "DSDT" folder on desktop then copy only DSDT.aml, SSDT-*.aml files to DSDT folder.(it is important "only" word because if you copy unwonted Go to terminal and type: cd ~/Desktop/DSDTiasl -da DSDT.aml SSDT*.aml The decompiled *.dsl files will be created in DSDT folder. Now get this MaciASL IDE and install from here (thanks to RehabMan tool) configure MaciASL to, Go to Preferences, set Compiler options to ACPI 5.0 Go to Sources tab then add : Name: Laptop patches URL: http://raw.github.com/RehabMan/Laptop-DSDT-Patch/master STEP 8:Patching DSDT.. 12. Hello, I recently acquired an old Dell Inspiron 14 (i3-2310m, hd 3000 graphics, 8gb ram) and tried to install mountain lion on it, after some error messages, (something about the ethernet timing out, don't have the message currently, I reinstalled win 7) I used -v -x -f GraphicsEnabler=No and cpus=1 I finally got into mountain lion, problem is that it is incredibly laggy, is there anyway to boot it up without cpus=1? I don't know what is causing the lag, any suggesstions?
  13. Hi insanelymac, I'm using a Dell All in one Inspiron 5348. It has a Pentium dual core G3240 Haswell clocked at 3.07 ghz in Mac. I've successfully booted and installed Mac Os X el capitan on an external hdd using a fake cpuid (0x0306E0) its ivybride. But my problem is the drivers. The only thing I could remotely do is wifi. I've installed the kexts for my wifi card. What I need is to install intel hd graphics (desktop) kexts and audio drivers (alc668) I've tried doing every method. Except for Ddst because I don't understand it whatsoever. Also found this thing called xcpm and was wondering if I can just spoof the graphics ids or something like that. Hopefully you guys can help me and thanks!
  14. Hello. I was wondering if my machine is at all capable of running OSX. I looked at the instructions line in CPU-Z and it says I'm capable of running SSE 1, 2 and 3. - System specifications - Intel Celeron 450 CPU (Single core) 2GB DDR2-PC2 6400 SDRAM nVidia GeForce 7800GT GPU (MSI) Currently running WIndows 7, and Ubuntu on a seperate drive (which I will dedicate to OSX if possible) If you need anymore information just ask!

    Getting Radeon HD 7730m Working?

Hello you guys, I am currently running OSX 10.9 perfectly on my Dell 7520 laptop (Will set up Yosemite on another partition these days ). The problem that still exists is that I am unable to use either the HDMI or VGA port because the switchable graphics (Radeon HD 7730m & HD4000) are not supported. That means that the system is currently running on HD4000, but the Radeon would probably do much better. So now to my question: By setting the discrete 7730m as primary graphics card in BIOS (no clue how to get to that function, maybe modded BIOS?), could I get it running? This would provide me the feature to use a second monitor. The 7xxx-series should all be supported by OSX, but I have not really heard anything about the 7730. My system specs: Core i5 3rd Gen HD4000 / Radeon HD 7730m(?) OSX 10.9 Thanks in advance finke
