High Sierra CPU PM help

Hello all, I just completed my first full hackintosh build (Parts listed below) and have everything fully functional with the exception of CPU power management. Has anyone had success with this in high sierra skylake build? I have followed a couple different guides I have found without success, none of which are for high sierra. High Sierra Build CPU= i7 6700k Mobo= Gigabyte Z170XP-SLI RAM= G.Skill Ripjaws V 16GB 3000MHz PSU= EVGA 750W Titanium Liquid Cooling= NZXT Kraken X52 GPU= None yet, using onboard HD530 currently. SSD= Samsung 850 500GB What's working: Pretty much everything (iMessage, Audio, Display, etc..) What's not working: CPU power management is the only thing I have found to be non functioning.

3. Hi all, I'm following this guide to install 10.13 to my 8700k build. Specs are as follows 8700k Gigabyte Aorus Gaming 7 Rev 1 Gskill Trident z 32gb 3000 EVGA 1080ti sc2 Samsung 850 evo 500gb I've made a bootable usb following this guide and added the EFI from the thread at the top of this post. I've edited smbios to be imac 18,3, updated Fake SMC to 3.5.1, am using the latest clover 4318 followed this guide to enable Nvidia gpu. Kexts are already in the “other” folder, removed EMUVariableUEFi. Used Clover Configurator to generate new serial and smuuid and made sure ff and ffm were not zeroes. I've tried this whole process at least a half dozen times in slightly different ways each time. Furthest I've gotten is to the second stage of the install, after the first reboot and the creation of the recovery partition, the installer hangs and gives a somewhat generic error message saying something along the lines of "Mac OS High Sierra can not be installed on this computer. Run Apple Diagnostics." Checking the install log and I find one error that seems to be of note regarding a failed extraction of Core.pkg if memory serves [was doing this late at night]. Can any one of you gurus provide any help? I really appreciate any help!

6. I have a 2010 build running Mavericks & Snow Leopard. Runs fine but I would like to update my video card. I recently upgraded to a Quad Core 2.83GHz CPU from my original Pentium Dual Core 2.83Ghz. (771 Xeon mod didn't work) But since my Hackintosh is not current, hardware-wise & OS-wise I was hoping for some advice. Not really a gamer, but i did try to run Cities: Skylines on the Mac and it ran slow. I just do basic web use, some website design and edit home video. I just ordered a Dell Ultrasharp U2415 24.0 inch (1920 x 1080) and might want a 2nd monitor later. I found this website with a list of graphic cards for Hackintoshes: http://protechlists.com/best-graphics-cards-for-hackintosh/. I would like to keep it under $100USD, so I was looking at the bottom two on the list or a different one if it works on my system. TL:DR Need new NVIDIA card under $100USD that works on my Hack. EDIT: one word.

8. Hi Forum, i have a problem installing 10.11. on my hackintosh. i have a fully working system based on 10.9. with a gigabyte H77-DS3H mainboard. Just want to install a 10.11. system on a separate new hard drive and have the option to do a dual boot with the existent 10.9. system. i tried the 10.11. install with the clover method. it went to the installer and it get stuck at "one second remaining" for now over one hour. Tried a few usb sticks and different options on creating the stick via clover but no chance. now my question, is there a user who successfully installed 10.11. on a H77-DS3H Mainboard or/and is there someone who can explain me (if its possible) how to install 10.11 from a working 10.9 system to another hard drive - which would be much faster and easier. Something like install it via official installer and install the clover data on it ? thank you for all your help. greetings, René

I really need it for serious job...i must replace my old Hack with this one and now i have a problem... Any suggestion will be appreciated... THX in advance....
10. Hello, First, here's my build: Gigabyte GA-H77M-D3H V1.0 (bios f9) 8 GB DDR3 RAM Intel Core i3 2100 @ 3.09 GHz XFX Radeon 5870 3 SATA hard drives (OS on 1, RAID 1 for the other 2) Problem: I installed 10.8.3 vanilla using myHack, and then installed kexts to get my network and sound working. myHack also installed Chameleon 2.1 for me. (I would have asked the fine folks at myHack, but I did my introduction and still I haven't been promoted to poster status after a week and a half.) If the system goes to sleep it won't wake up. I disabled sleep and found that leaving the screen set to turn off worked, but it would only wake up if I press the power button, and if I leave it for an extended period that doesn't even work. For graphics, the desktop looks great, I get that splash effect when I drop a new gadget on the dashboard, and I can play videos. I tried to run Uniengine Heaven 4.0 just to see how it may handle games, but I got a black screen with a little corruption on it. I looked in the System Profiler and this is what is says for Graphics/Displays: Chipset Model: ATI Radeon HD 5870 Type: GPU Bus: PCIe PCIe Lane Width: x16 VRAM (Total): 1024 MB Vendor: ATI (0x1002) Device ID: 0x6898 Revision ID: 0x0000 I notice that there's no Quartz Extreme or anything like that listed and if I understand correctly, it should definitely be there if everything is functioning properly. I'm confused by this because I thought this was one of those cards for which Mac OS has native support. Is there anyone out there brimming with awesomeness who could help me get these problems fixed? Much appreciated!
11. Well after 3 excruciatingly long days I have finally done it! I manged to get OSX 10.6.8 installed on my AMD machine but i'm still stuck in a few places... I am a super noob at this but good with tech work in general. I'm a Programmer/Web Developer/Hardware/Software Support guy by trade. hardware info: AMD FX4100 ATI HD5450 Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H So I used ModCD and a retail copy of 10.6.3 with the following flags: rd(0,0)/Extra/modbin_kernel arch=i386 legacy_kernel cpus=1 busratio=17 colors=32 GraphicsEnabler=No After a successful install I still couldn't get my machine to boot without a few flags: busratio=17 colors=32 UseKernelCache=No npci=0x2000 Once I finally reached the OS I did the following: Ran the Apple Combo Update for 10.6.8. Before rebooting installed legacy kernel AMD for 10.6.8 Ran Mulitbeast 3.10.x and installed all kexts, fixes, and ##### stuff Committed the second set of flags above to my org.chamelon.boot.plist Rebooted So the machine currently boots and runs but adding the ati5000injector.kext for my HD5450 to my Extras/Extensions folder causes the boot process to stall until it's removed. It seems to stall at the NvClockX loading process which i'm guessing is some sort of nvidia driver. Can I remove these drivers or is there a better way to get my ATI card to work? Can I fix my boot process so I don't have to use so many hardcoded flags to get it to start? Thanks in advance -Mike

15. So, I switched from my MSI P67A-GD55(B3) mobo, thinking this Gigabyte mobo would support sleep/wake. I was RIGHT. Except for leaving a flashing light during sleep, it works great without DSDT. CSMVideo full-HD boot screen works (as well as mouse!) in Clover boot screen. All hardware working 100% except for USB3.0 (7-series Intel XHCI)... I think the hardware is damaged, only one working USB3.0 port working (via header). Still, I hear Yosemite/Sandy Bridge/Intel USB3.0 is a bad combination anyway. A more detailed post follows shortly (hopefully).

17. My Motherboard is a Gigabyte Z97X-SLI with 16 GB of ram, The CPU is an Intel Xeon E3-1231 V3, and my Video Card is an Nvidia Geforce GTX 275. What I would like to know is what Version this system would be compatible with and What Kmods I would Need, or what components would need to change.
18. Hi All, Just to let you know that I did an in-place upgrade of a pure UEFI install of Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 to Sierra 10.12.3 with very little effort... Directly from the Installer App :-) Because I am using a Broadcom BCM943224HMS WiFi card in a PCIE x1 adaptor, I needed to patch the whitelist in "IO80211Family.kext/Contents/plugin/BCRM94360.kext/Contents/MacOS/BCRM94360" for iMac14,2 (it used to be 12,2 but was updated to avoid blackscreen). I also reverted to Apple NVIDIA driver, but have since switched back to Web Driver :-) Same Ethernet kext (RTL8111.kext) worked fine, and AppleALC.kext still worked fine. If custom SSDT.aml for speedstep is causing Kernel Panic, you need to create another one with PikerAlpha's ssdtPRGen.sh script. I cannot believe how easy this all was...
19. Hi, I'm building a music hack along with a Philips BDM4065UC (4k Monitor) and can't get the Internal graphics card to output the maximun res. When booting Win 8.1 it goes full res but at 30hz. Screen set do Display Port 1.2 - Works great with a MacBookPro late 13 so the monitor and cable is good to go. Any tips on clover settings such Plist and Smbios (Currently iMac 14.2) or whatever else I might have missed would be much appreciated. Thanks, Musikprylar
20. Hey Guys, i am trying to create my own DSDT but i am very inexperienced. The reason for this effort is that i found a dsdt hack for my HD 7850 here. Anyway I am getting a lot of compiling errors. Some of them i have already fixed by myself. Any help would be very appreciated. 21. I currently have my machine up and running using the Chimera and Chameleon method, however I learned a few weeks ago that iMessage is never going to work using this method, like it did in older versions of OS X. I'm finding that Clover has a steep learning curve (even though the Boot-loader, and Clover Configurator seem pretty straight forward). All the guides I'm finding online seem to not be working for me, I have been most successful using a mixture of information from TonymacOSX, and Skyline OS X sites. I can get to the Clover boot screen, I select the Yosemite installer, the loading bar gets about half way then the Monitors turn off. I would appreciate if someone would point me in the right direction, this is abit frustrating to me, but I'm not trying to give up... My current configuration with hardware: OS - Yosemite/Windows 7 | Chimera and Chameleon Method Motherboard/ CPU - GA-EX58-UD3R 1.6/1.7 FK | Intel i7 930 Video Card - Nivida GeForce GTX 480 12GB of RAM System drive - 1TB

Gigabyte Z87m-D3H pjalm patch

When I tried to patch clean DSDT using DSDT patch for Gigabyte Z87m-D3H by Pjalm compiler shows:
23. So I've used Nawcom's ModCD with a retail .dmg of snow leopard and regardless of what I do, I seem to run into the same issue. I get this message: "Bacxktrace (CPU 0), Frame : Return Address (4 potential args on stack) 0x437f0718 : 0x21b3a4 (0x58c612 0x2 0x347f13e8 0x223a12) warning: invalid kernel ip, won't attempt to trap Debugger called: <double panic>" This is what I got under the hood: Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 Sapphire Radeon HD 7750 (Two of em) 16 GB DDR3 AMD Phenom II X 4 965 BE
24. After a bit of mucking around I've managed to get Mavericks booting on my Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3P. Steps: Create USB like this: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/289062-109-mavericks-simple-vanilla-hackintosh-install-guide/ Copy /Extra onto USB Copy FakeSMC.kext and any other kexts into /System/Library/Extensions on USB Make sure you have the latest Chameleon as your boot loader (either on USB or on your current system) Boot from USB (either from BIOS or from Chameleon on one of your current systems) Install At Restart prompt start Terminal from the Utilities menu Copy FakeSMC.kext and any other from /System/Library/Extensions to /Volumes/<Name of your install volume>/System/Library/Extensions Quit terminal Reboot Kexts Required: FakeSMC.kext RealtekRTL81xx.kext (lnx2mac's Realtek NIC kext) Everything is working at the moment except for the built in ALC889a HDA. The DSDT is patched but I usually need to patch the AppleHDA.kext to get it working. That's next on the list. Attached is the DSDT I am using. 25. It took me days to figure out how to get a fully working (sleep included) 10.7.2 install on my (base) lifehacker build...no single post made a step by step solution for me so I'm posting it here in the hopes that it'll help you out... Let's start with my hardware: Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad 2.83Ghz Mobo: EP45-UD3P Rev 1.6 RAM: 4GB Patriot DDR2 SSD: OCZ Vertex 3 (highly recommended for speed) GFX: Gigabyte AMD Radeon 6870 (Swapped out my 9800GTX for this card so I could get native HDMI working...pretty sure there aren't any issues, other than the infamous DVI-HDMI issue with lion and the 9800 so my guide should still work) Step 1: It was a mess trying to upgrade directly from my 10.6 install so I made a clone of my working 10.6 HDD to another spare drive I had using Carbon Copy Cloner. We'll come back to this in the later steps of this guide... Step 2: Use Kakewalk 4.1.1 for this board. AGAIN use Kakewalk. It has native support for the EP45-UD3P which helps with the DSDT stuff Step 3: Follow the directions for a CLEAN install of 10.7.2. You'll have to format your drive but don't worry because you have all of your data cloned on that spare drive mentioned in step 1. Step 4: The Trendnet Gigabit card is no longer recognized in 10.7, but if you have the rev 1.6 mobo, the ethernet ports are recognized so you're good to go. Step 5: Once you have internet, download ##### 4.1.0 Lion Edition from TonyMac86's site. http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/2010/02/#####-ultimate-post-installation.html Step 6: Launch ##### and ONLY check the following: System Utilities Realtek ALC8xxx (Make sure everything in the dropdown menu of this box is checked) Lnx2mac's Realtek Gigabit Ethernet 2.0.6 for 10.7 IOUSBFamily Rollback Click Continue and let ##### do all of the heavy lifting. Install the Lnx2mac driver and Restart. Your sound issues should be resolved by now. If not, run ##### again only checking Realtek ALC8xxx Step 7: To resolve the sleep issues (the biggest headache EVER!) download sleep enabler from this link: http://www.osx86.net/view/1771-sleepenabler_for_10.7.1_-_10.7.2_latest_beta.html Here's the most important part: Drag the full Sleepenabler.kext folder to /System/Library/Extensions. Your computer will ask you for your password...so enter it. Run Kext Utility and restart. Step 8: Plug in your cloned backup of your 10.6 system and use migration assistant (/Applications/Utilities) to transfer your apps, settings, BG, etc. Step 9: Once your transfer is complete, go into your main HDD drive and delete the folder "Extras (from your old...something or other)." This just gets rid of the old extras folder and causes less confusion for your hack. Step 10: Enjoy. App store works, iTunes Matching works, MacZfs works...and is glorious for software Raid 5 storage, SLEEP WORKS...HELL YEAH!!! (Wakeup from network, timed sleep...it all works) Hopefully this helps you guys out. Let me know if you have great success...it'sa niiiiice.
