  1. sorry didnt know where to post this when i woke up today before work, i noticed my desktop had absolutely no power. none of the flashing lights that are usually on when it's on stand by or sleep. i know its not the power outlet because the screen and couple other things are connected to the same power strip and it gets power. what's the problem? did my computer short circuit? if so how hard is it to replace the power supply? it's and acer desktop from like 05 or somewhere around that time. would it be tedious to find a power supply that is compatible with it? if i can't fix it or get it to work, would the short circuit damage the hard drive? all in all its kind of a good thing, because i've been wanting a new gaming desktop (either custom built or alienware/genisis). but thats a good deal of money, i rather just have a quick fix and get a new desktop later, because i need my desktop, i can't stand just using a note book all day, although i love my 13" macbook pro.

    Show/Hide Desktop Icons

    Version 1.0

This is a little app that will help you to easily hide or show your desktop icons. Let's say you want to record a video of your desktop or you want to capture some screenshots of your desktop and you have a lot of files on your desktop already but you don't want to move them somewhere else, with this app you can easily make them invisible and once you're done you can make them visible again.
-Claudio

  5. Greetings - I have been handed a Lenovo M90 desktop with the challenge of installing OSX. This is a stock Lenovo desktop machine: - Core 2 Duo i5 660 - Integrated Intel Video controller (64mb - 8086:0042) - SATA Controller (AHCI) - on-board Audio - on-board ethernet (82578DM Gigabit) I am using iATKOS L2, and I can boot to the installer, change options, and the install completes successfully - no issues, no kernel panics, no hangs, and I can even use the utils during install to wipe drives, and get system info. However, on post boot install, I see these issues: BootCacheControl: Unable to open /var/db/BootCaches/..../<Merged.playlist BootCacheControl: Unable to open /var/db/BootCaches/..../Login.playlist ... ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::start - waitForService(resrouceMatching(AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement) timed out DSMOS has arrived after about 15 mins - IOSCatalogue resetting So here's my general question: if I can get into the installer, and that GUI runs fine, and it can see my HD just fine - is there a way to circumvent whatever issues are occurring here stemming from power management, or video card so I can get to the desktop? THIS JUST IN - I was going to reboot the system and get an image of the BIOS screen, so I pressed and held down power and got this Kernel Panic: You guys know more than - what do you think? Another quick update: I've tried butt-basic installs with no drivers, just main system, and VGA - with the same results...
  6. Hi everyone, I have an HP EliteBook 2740p that I would like to install OS X mountain lion on. It has a core i5 processor Intel hd graphics (I just found a kext online for it today) and a wacom digitizer (I believe its a WP534AV but I am not sure) I would like to know if the install would go well or if I would experience problems. My main concern is that I really would like to touch interface to work so I would need a digitizer kext. Is there a standard on in osx or would I need to wait for one to be made if one is ever made. I really appreciate any help so THANKS
