georgebergling posted a topic in OSx86 10.10 (Yosemite)Hi, yesterday I upgraded my HP Envy 15-j101ss with Yosemite 10.10.2 to 10.10.3 and everything was working correctly after the update except a mistake with the new Photos app. I wasn't able to import the iPhoto gallery because the app said that I needed to repair the disk permissions and I did it with Disk Utility. But after this i'm stuck on the apple logo so I can't boot. I boot in verbose mode and everytime i see: 'Incorrect number of thread records'. I tried to repair it with fsck but there's always a loop and the system can't repair it, Also I tried it with Disk Utility in Time Machine but the fix isn't possible and I thought there were back-ups to restore it, but there aren't so it's like a joke... Moreover I have a Windows partition with MacDrive but this software can't repair it too. I don't know what can I do, maybe there's any chance to repair the OS X because in this partition I have many important files such as music projects...
Hi, I hope someone can help me as I'm having some issues installing OSX on my computer. Now I did expect problems as it's an AMD so it's not supported by an means of the imagination. But everytime I manage to install OSX using some guide or another I get past the installer and formatting the HDD but then it sticks on a black screen after the Apple Logo on 1st boot. After this issue I managed to work around it using the boot flags "-x -f -v GraphicsEnabler=No" which worked once and then stopped. Someone recommended I use -x and -v only but that stopped at IOBluetoothHCIControler. Any help would be greatly appreciated
