  1. Hi, I have a TL-WDN4800 wifi card (PCIe) with Atheros chipset and a usb CSR 4.0 bluetooth dongle (LMP 0x6) but I don't have the option to enable Handoff in system prefs. Is there some tweak/plist edit possible to enable it or do I need to change hardware? Please advice. Thanks, BiTRiP

  8. Hello, I have a strange operation of the BT. Link perfecty with MagicMouse but is disconnect and connect randomly. Previously in Mavericks, connect and in 1 minute exactly disconnect for ever. Any help is appreciated. I'm spanish, sorry for my bad english
  9. Hi guys, i have big problem with bluetooth. I have two bluetooth's - CSR8510 A10 Chip - Hama Nano 3.0+ Okay, so what is the problem, that i don't have menu "add new device", so i can't pair anything. I can switch on and off this two bluetooth dongles. I have tryed today solve some little and moved com.apple.bluetooth.plist from my macbook pro retina to hackintosh, and.. My Hackintosh has automatic connected to iPhone, but.. Hackintosh update this file automatic and for some reason delete "Pair Devices", and i can't see Magic Mouse that i paired with macbook. Only iPhone. This is what my bluetooth from Hama Nano looks in system report And like you see, iphone is paired from macbook pro's plist. I don't know, is it good or bad thing, that i first installed 10.9 to macbook to external hard drive, than i updated it to DP6, because i have Haswell processor, then i just copied partition to hackintosh drive and added basic fakecms. My model in smbios is MacPro5,1. But name is same as macbook pro. in attachment files you can download my plist for bluetooth that i use in Hackintosh. Any things about this case? Or is it easiest just by different bluetooth? Because i thinked, that CSR are native bluetooth in mac.. com.apple.Bluetooth.plist.zip
  10. Hi guys. I've bought BCM94331CSAX with PCIeX1 adapter for this combo being the chipest and for reasons I don't really need fastest WiFi possible. Heck my router is still 54g Anyway I was lucky and card and adaptor seems to came flawless. Since I am using MacPro3,1 SMBIOS I was not getting Handoff and few other OOB and had to apply CAT which enabled everything. Then I've found that BT signal level is really low. BT speaker i have is dropping sound like crazy if put more then two meters from antenna. While researching a bit I have found that middle connector on the card is for BT. Also I've found that turning WiFi on card off is greatly improving RSSI of Bluetooth connection – my BT speaker can be as far as 5-6 meteres after that. Also turning off router (with WiFI in 2.4GHz) do the same — improves RSS of BT. So my question is can you guys with those cards in topic attest to my finding. Or correct them because now I wonder if CD (iMac) versions of the cards are better in regards of simultanious work of BT and WiFi since those cards are actually bigger themselves. Thank you P.S. Screenshots shows how turning WiFI off improves BT connection
  11. I've got an IOGear GBU421 Bluetooth adapter that I was hoping to use with my Hackintosh, however it presents this kernel message when inserted. It seems to not be an issue with any given piece of hardware, but with Mavericks itself, as my iMac running 10.8.4 managed to detect the adapter properly, while my MBA also running 10.9 produced the same error the Hackintosh did. I take it this means I'm SOL, but might anyone know of a fix?

  18. Hi, Need help on bluetooth with OSX 10.9 DP3. I'm using Apple Bluetooth Module from Macbook Pro A1260 (BCM2046 Chipset). It was working great under Mountain Lion 10.8.4. It also work under OSX 10.9 DP1 and DP2. However, when I upgraded to DP3, the bluetooth module is no longer detected by the OS. I've checked and verified that Device ID and Manufacturer ID are available in Info.plist in the IOBluetoothFamily.kext and its related kext. I've also tried with various USB Bluetooth dongle that worked with 10.8.4 up to 10.9 DP2, however they did not work under 10.9 DP3. I've also tried to use the kext from OSX 10.8.4, but still no luck. Any advise to resolve the issue is very much appreciated. System : Gigabyte GA-Z77P-D3 (Ver 1.1), i7 3770, Gigabyte GTX 650 OC, 8MB RAM, 1TB Samsung HDD, 1TB WD HDD

    HELP! Bluetooth almost working

I've had a hackintosh now for about a year and it's ran flawlessly on every update since 10.6, I'm now running 10.7.2. I have everything working perfect even graphics with all three monitors. I bought an Apple wireless keyboard a few weeks back just to top it all off, I'll probably get a Magic Mouse too! So... I purchased a generic CSR dongle from Novatech for about a fiver and plugged it in, I booted up into W7 and it installed a few drivers and then worked fine, I could send/recieve files and connect the keyboard. I tried to boot into Lion and the system hung. I removed the dongle and it booted fine. If I plug the dongle in after it boots I can see it in System Information, I looked at the guide on Pray's blog (or however it's spelled) and added my vendor and product ID to the CSR kext. I rebooted with -f -v and got this: USBMSC Identifier (non-unique): 575844314139303231393439 0x1058 0x71a 0x2011 Bluetooth: Adaptive Frequency Hopping is not supported. ...Blah blah blah... Still waiting for root device Please help me out!

  23. I recently updated my T520 hackintosh to macOS High Sierra, works great with one exception; sleeping/waking. I've noticed that if I have the bluetooth switch on the laptop turned on, it'll kernel panic when waking from sleep mode, otherwise it'll work fine. Any suggestions for getting sleep mode to work with bluetooth being turned on? It used to work in Sierra.. Ill attach a copy of the kernel panic that seems to occur. Note: I get the same result with darkwake=0
  24. Hello, i try to enable bluetooth for my Acer 4830TG by default on startup, as it is disabled and FN-Keys for this won't work. I think I found the position in my dsdt-file, but it will not activate, if I change the values. If I start Windows before and then restart into Lion 10.7.3 it is activated and work with an simple edit in the IOBluetoothFamily.kext. So the Bluetooth-Adapter is accepted, but only disabled. I hope, that someone here can help me out, what I'm doing wrong. I even tried with the _WAK and _PTS, but it won't start after sleep also. Could not attach the dsdt-file (Internal error 500?), so i attached it some code with some comments of the change I thought it work. Hope you could help me out with this... Method (_Q60, 0, NotSerialized) { If (WLEX) { Store (WLAT, LANE) } If (BTEX) { Store (Not (BTAT), BTPD) } /* Did not work: Store (BTAT, BTPD) or Store (One, BTPD) */ If (EX3G) { Store (AT3G, WANE) } } Edit: Ok, I figured out, that the _Q-Methods seemed to be for the Fn-Keys ... But it didn't work either. For testing purposes I disabled WLAN in _WAK / _PTS, but it seems to ignore my settings (after wakeup from sleep WLAN is up and Inet works). Could it be, that I missed something out to make changes work in my DSDT? Settings for _DSM in UHC0-x take effect, but others doesn't
