  4. Howdy! My name is Joshua Bedford, and I'm brand new to this community. It appears as though I have been missing out! I started over at hewhoshallnotbenamed's (from what I understand) website. I need some help! I built my first (and only so far) hackintosh a little over 2 years ago (I think. haven't looked at exact dates). It has worked phenomenally, and was running my dual 27" displays perfectly for web development and video editing. The problem now is USB3.0, audio, and iMessage no longer work. iMessage was always spotty, but I need audio and USB3.0! It recognizes USB2.0 devices plugged into 3.0 ports, but not 3.0 devices (such as my 3TB external drive and usb hub). My question is this: Based on the hardware below, would it be a good idea / compatible to wipe it and start over with high sierra and the newest bootloader powering it? The only data on the drive is the OS and a few programs. Nothing irreplaceable or difficult to replace. My main question is one of compatibility (I'm not very knowledgeable about this process). Build: GPU: GTX960 CPU: i7-4790k MB: UD5H-Bk RAM: Gigabyte 16GB WNA: TP-Link WDN4800 PCPARTPICKER link: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/JrBedford/saved/#view=vpMLrH Everything except the monitor (I moved to 2 curved 27") is still true. Please view that for any specific part numbers! Let me know if more information is needed. I am willing to be helped in debugging the current system, but i wonder if installing high sierra would be easier. P.S. I bent a few of the pins in the USB3.0 header that connects the front panel of my case. That wouldn't cause the entire system to reject USB3.0 right? I'm plugging directly into the motherboard not through that plug.
  5. i have ended up getting high sierra installed on my intel DQ670w board. i used a premade high sierra/clover dmg i extracted to a usb flash drive. right now the audio, networking arnt working and the video card i have in the machine an nvidia geforce 1050 gtx ti it works but has very very very choppy/jittery video. i did find some kext files for the network and audio but when i put them in the extensions folder they didnt do anything to add audio or networking. also i have to get the machine to boot from the hard drive rather then having to boot the usb flash drive to get the hard drive to boot and i have to work on the video card stuff as well. i am not to good at this stuff cause usually when i have tried stuff i end up breaking stuff or that stuff doesnt work. i am not all that code or certain tech savy. i am not the brightest. i like things laid out where its all like this is the files and where you get them from this is how u work with them kind of thing. it does agravate me when people just wont lay out stuff as like a dummy book does and makes everything easy. i tried on facebook groups and got as far as to be told what kexts to find but never told where to find them. i did try to look on my own and i did find a few kexts but they where ones that needed alterations to the os to even make them usable. the video kext or driver i was told to install it and do something like change something to true. all i need are the kext files and to make the machine boot from the hard drive rather then complaining it doesnt have an os on the drive or having to use the usb flash drive to make it boot and the video files and to know how to deal with the files and make them work without having to start over with everything and reinstalling stuff
  6. Hi guys, This is my first Hackintosh, designed to be used for music production, so having my audio stutter is a fairly serious issue! i7 8700k Asrock z370 Pro4 Focusrite 18i20v2 (have also tested with Focusrite 2i2, and Zoom H6) audio interface, Samsung 960 M.2 (I also have a normal HDD in here as well) I tested with High Sierra, but had the same problems in Sierra (which I installed on my spinning HDD). Clover It seems that sound engine is encountering some kind of error, and is having to restart itself periodically. These are the important lines from Console (I believe)- USB Sound assertion (Resetting engine due to error returned in Read Handler) in /BuildRoot/Library/Caches/com.apple.xbs/Sources/AppleUSBAudio/AppleUSBAudio-311.9/AppleUSBAudioDevice.cpp at line 6182 ^^ I assume that .cpp file is inaccessible? Would be interesting to see what is on line 6182! Looks like the audio streaming is messing itself up every now and then? Core audiod - HALS_IOA1Engine.cpp:365:EndWriting: HALS_IOA1Engine::EndWriting: got an error from the kernel trap, Error: 0xE00002D7 Core Audiod - HALB_AsyncLog.cpp:120:perform: 11:39:38.080572 thread 10d4: HALS_IOContext::IOWorkLoop_HandleOverload: Overload arg1: 64 arg2: 4527392 arg3: 4527426 Spotify - HALC_ProxyIOContext.cpp:1068:IOWorkLoop: HALC_ProxyIOContext::IOWorkLoop: skipping cycle due to overload NOTE- Sometimes I also get a USB Sound Assertion claiming that "output fell behind". although i've just observed that this particular error msg also happens on my imac, so this is probably not hackintosh related. USB Sound assertion (Output Fell Behind) in /BuildRoot/Library/Caches/com.apple.xbs/Sources/AppleUSBAudio/AppleUSBAudio-311.9/AppleUSBAudioDevice.cpp at line 6177 https://imgur.com/a/MZXVi(various screenshots of console) I haven't noticed problems with onboard sound, which I briefly got working to test. I'm not interested in using onboard sound though. My intuition says that my mobos USB isn't playing nicely with OSX. Unfortunately theres nothing in the bios I can change (I can't force it to run as USB 2.0 for example, and there are no USB 2 ports on this mobo). Changing ports makes no difference. I initially used a guide and EFI folder from a website, but today tried the "vanilla" method on Reddit, which seemed to install nicely, but hasn't fixed my USB Audio problems! I've tried fiddling with the USB options in clover but to no avail. I've been trying to look into using RehabMans FakePCIID_XHCIMux.kext, but I'm a bit confused about if its doing anything (I put it in my clover kext folder, as well as in sys/lib/ext, as well as the FakePCIID.kext). Not sure what its really meant to do, or if I need to do more to make it work? Interestingly, my iMac (which works well with USB audio, running Sierra), uses AppleUSBXHCILPTH as the Host Controller for USB 3.0 bus in System Information, whereas my hack is using AppleUSBXHCISPT. Is this a pertinent detail perhaps? I'm not sure what else to try now! I've ordered a cheap USB 2.0 PCI card from Amazon which arrives on Tuesday, but this is a bit of a desperation attempt, I'm quite out of my depth with this issue! Any help would be massively appreciated. Interestingly, the error doesn't seem to occur as much if I don't touch the computer. I wonder if my mouse/keyboard is interfering with the USB Audio? I've tried unplugging everything other than the mouse/keyboard and USB interface but still get the problem. Thanks so much! Apologies if there's more info I need to add, I will supply any information necessary! EDIT : Thought I'd also add that I updated the Bios to ver 1.60 (latest) from Asrock website, was hoping this would fix the problem but it hasn't.
  7. Hi there, I had to reinstall El Capitan on my Hackintosh, as it was installed in Clover Legacy Mode before (with everything working just fine). Now I installed it again in UEFI mode and since then, Audio (ALC892) is not working anymore (Neither in UEFI or Legacymode). I tried to install the same 2 Kexts as before (AppleHDA modified and HDAEnabler1) using Kextutility (wich was working fine before as well). It always fails to install AppleHDA, as it cannot Backup or modify the Original AppleHDA in System/Extensions (Can't copy sourcefile). I also tried the same, using the root Account, using terminal with kextunload / load and even a script for clover. They all fail to modify / delete the Original AppleHDA. Trying to rename / move or delete the Original file with Terminal or Finder is not working as well, I get an Error, saying that the file cannot be modified because OS X requires it. So how can I install the Kext to get my audio working again? System is El Capitan (10.11.6)... Thank You!
  8. Hi all. My hack is working almost perfectly except for the inability to launch steam games. I've been looking in the logs and it seems that perhaps this is caused by Steam not knowing which audio device to use, but I'm really not sure. The strange thing is, I'll try to launch a game 9 times and it won't work, then on the 10th time it will magically load again. I've attached my clover folder and a copy of the Console logs that are generated right when launching the game. My knowledge is limited beyond this point to know what is happening and wondering if anybody else has seen this. Has anybody else seen any issues specifically with steam and audio? EDIT: By the way, when I say a game won't start I mean that it won't even load to the menu screen. When it does randomly work, it works perfectly. It reminds me of the old audio issue where sounds would stop working then after a few mins it would start again. I suspect audio is the issue as I can see lots of entries in the logs regarding audio.. that's about as far as I can dig with my limited knowledge! CLOVER.zip Steam load log dump.txt
  9. Hello I'm having audio issues with my Dell Vostro 2520's microphone with VoodooHDA The internal microphone isn't detected, yet the microphone audio port is detected, and works. According to Windows and Dell, my laptop has the Cirrus Logic CS4213 codec in it, so if that's important, there it is. I am on Mavericks 10.9.5, since that works the best on this laptop, but would be open to try newer versions if things work well enough. I can provide my DSDT if needed.
  10. Hello everybody at the forum, My system is kind of old, but runs MacOS High Sierra so well, I really I want to fix one problem that drives me crazy!!! So, here it is: My system is composed of the following: Motherboard: Asus P5E VM - HDMI, 4GB RAM CPU: Xeon x5460 (with the LGA 771 mod) Graphics: ASUS GT 1030 My problem is that when I play music (either with a dedicated audio player or youtube) and at the same time I do something simple like resizing an App Store window or even click on a file I get audio dropouts and glitches. If I do nothing audio is playing perfectly. Everything else works fine. Thank you very much

Hi people, This is a preliminary installer to activate the sound card REALTEK ALC282-v2 (10ec:0282) with LayoutID 1 or 3 in MacOS. This installer does not contain AppleHDA patched Kext. To work properly, it must be installed over vanilla AppleHDA.kext. I want to thank the whole community for their efforts and content provided, because without these it would not be possible to create this installer. I would appreciate comments and suggestions!!

  14. Using a Windows Drivers

I will try to explain the problem. We only have a 32bits version of this driver for Mac and because of this we are stuck at Snow leopard version. We have a Windows version 64 bits. Can I use it and upgrade to Sierra? The hardware is a: tascam fw-1082
  15. Hi guys, Ive been through some Audio turmoil since upgrading to High Sierra with my recent rig i7 7700k @5100mhz on a GA Z270-UD5. F5 BIOS 16gig 3000mhz GTX1070 The awesome audio command script did not give me any audio throughput. The devices were displayed but not working, thus neither iTunes nor Youtube were playing anything. Since the script worked flawless in Sierra I looked through the 130 one for HS and maybe got confused, but it seemed not to patch the Z270-UD5's ALC1220A chip properly looking at the plist I found that it applied the normal ALC1220 patch to my ALC1220A. I tried changing the kext patch in the config file, but this did not gave me the desired result. Thus there seems to be the patching in the AppleHDA affected as well. With the older 124 command script working perfectly in 10.12 I dived into that script (which is a lot shorter than the 130) and changed the limitation of the OS (10.12.x) to 10.13 and ran it. and voila perfect Audio as usual.. I'm gonna attach the changed script, maybe someone with connections can contact Toleda And a screenshot of the kext patch. Hopefully this is useful to some one out there with a ALC1220A who did not go the DSDT route yet. Have an awesome week everyone MODDED 10.13 audio_200_Series_hda-124_v1.0.command.zip
  16. So I've managed to get Unlocker working on ESXi 6.0U2, installed Sierra and got GPU passthrough working with my GTX 1050 Ti. However...audio is a mess. I tried with an old USB sound card I had lying around, and the results were pathetic. So I disabled SIP (that was an adventure), installed VoodooHDA 2.9.0 and tried routing audio over HDMI. Again, it was an unpleasant experience. So I tried an old PCI M-Audio Revolution with a Snow Leopard era kext. I got audio, but it frequently broke up and distorted. Aside from audio, the VM feels stuttery and uneven, like the system is overloaded with I/O. However, there's actually very little activity in Activity Monitor. Anyone have any suggestions for getting decent audio out of this VM?
  17. ¡Hello Guys! im here with a new build to make a fully working Hackintosh. 20.
Bueno paso a comentarles.

Avete consigli? Grazie mille Retroman Newbie
  25. Hello everyone, For the past few days, I have been trying to get the audio working on my ThinkPad T510 with macOS Sierra. I have read all of the guides on the forum, I can link them if anyone needs them, and I still have no audio. As far as I know, the T510 uses the Conexant CX20585. For most people, this seems to work with kexts they have posted. Below are the methods I tried: - Using .kext s people have provided under Guides and Downloads on the InsanelyMac forum. Not Working - Modifying AppleHDA through Clover. Not Working - Try other verison of Mac OS X (Sierra, El Capitan, Yosemite, Mavericks). Not Working This has led me to believe that I am ether completely missing a step in a guide, or I am doing something wrong. Or, that my specific ThinkPad T510 uses a different audio codec. Any help I can get, will be appreciated. I hope someone here could help me. Thanks In Advance.
