    Best settings for HD5770

Hi guys, I have a very good hackintosh in a G5 case with original look. I'm using Clover for UEFI booting and everything except one thing is good. I'm using MacPro 3,1 as SMBIOS. I know my video card is old, but it could perform a bit better and stay a bit cooler. I read people say that they have the same card (Vapor-x) running around 36 degrees, which is a lot cooler than mine. My problem is that in Mavericks it runs with 57-58 degrees Celsius on idle. In Yosemite it's 54 degrees with 26 ambient temperature. In terms of performance I see no problems. The only difference which I know of in Clover is SMBIOS. In Mavericks I use MacPro 3,1 and in Yosemite iMac 13,2 12,2. In both my card is correctly recognized with some settings in Clover. (Later I will post a screenshot). The only thing I didn't touch on either system is AGPM kext. I would like to try to tweak that, but I still don't understand how it works and what are the values I need to put. So my question is if someone is using this card with Clover and has a better performance in terms of temperature, please share some info what needs to be done to get the best of this card. ATI RADEON 5770 - 5870

Sapete consigliarmi? Grazie

    Sapphire HD5770 second monitor resolution

Hi guys:-) I am here from 2008,and i make a Hackintosh these years which works 'till now...nowadays things are changed and i am started as a total NOOB:-) Now i completed new (old) maschine with Sapphire Radeon 5770 which has DVI, HDMI and Display port out.... Basically everything works fine because i find right DSDT file, i have ML 10.8.5 installed but....and the goddess of fortune was with me at this moment:-) and of course one friend from Zagreb who help me a lot with some advices:-) THX to him a lot:-) When i boot normally i have a fine correct scaled resolution on main monitor (1920x1200) and it is fine but on Toshiba TV 50" (second monitor) connected on HDMI output in HDMI splitter i have a max resolution of 720p or a little bit more 1360x768...and it is recognized as TOSHIBA TV On this HDMI splitter i have a 2 Toshiba TV in two rooms...on PC installation everything works fine... When i start with AtiConfig=Vervet i have a lot more resolutions higher than 1920x1080 on second monitor but it is recognised as VGA monitor and of cource card cannot start in this resolution and allow me to set max 1280x720....when i try to set 1920x1080 or higher it always returns me on first resolution.... If i start with AtiConfig=Baboon i see only a small part of second screen on both monitors:-) and i cannot do nothing.... Mobo: Gigabyte GAX38 DQ6, Sapphire Radeon 5770, 8 GB DDR2 Any suggestion for this problem maybe? THX in advance....

    ATi 3430

Hello! How can I make ati 3430 on mac os x leopard (10.5)? Notebook packard bell tn65.
  8. Hi everybody! I need some help today: I’m trying to install Mac OS Sierra 10.12.5 on my friend’s laptop, which is an Acer Aspire 5250, but that’s quite a difficult task because it’s an AMD CPU. The model is AMD E-450 APU with Radeon HD Graphics (graphics model Radeon HD 6320). I need some help because I can’t boot the installer, when I select my USB from Clover, after the row of pluses in verbose mode instead of showing me all the booting commands it stucks on a black screen and the screen starts flickering along with a continuous beep sound and so I’m unable to get to the installer. Do I need a patched kernel or something else? Are you able to give me some help? Thanks!
  9. My system- board: Asus P8Z77-V LK (with 1001 BIOS which I patched for sleep ability) gfx: Ati Radeon HD5670, connected to 2560x1440 display via dual link DVI-D cpu: i7 3770K SATA: Win7 hd, Win8 hd, Mac OS X hd (in progress), DVD read\write Hello. I'm a newb to Hackintosh installs and am trying to get Mountain Lion 10.8.3 running. For installation, I used iAtkos ML3U and it went very smoothly.. but I haven't been able to boot up from the harddrive. At the time that it fails, I see some graphical corruption which I think is unusual (though I could be wrong). I have attached the image to the post. For attempted launches, I use the Clover bootloader (which I believe I have as a result of having used iAtkos ML3U - though I don't know how common it is to have it for other reasons because I'm newb). For boot flags, I typically accept the two default flags (which I believe are "npci=0x2000 slide=0") and I add "-f -v" (the "-f" because I think it prevents cached {censored} from {censored} up my tests, and -v to hopefully get a hint why it failed)... and then I variously try other flags and toggling things in the Clover bootloader somewhat randomly. The flags have never helped me get further, but have sometimes caused me to get less far (for instance, it's interesting that "-x" for safe mode causes the boot to fail with a reboot almost immediately). So, my theories at the moment are that perhaps some of my problem is graphics related due to the graphical corruption.. and perhaps I've got some problem related to the hibernated drive which is usually the last thing mentioned in the boot sequence before failure (I doubt it's the reason because I see it as no reason for boot failure, though it is the last thing mentioned). I'm aware that the hibernated drive is probably somehow due to Win8's attempt at fast boots, though I disabled fast boots over a week ago and have shutdown Win8 many times since (and it's still marked as hibernated). My best theory however is that my real problem is something different which I haven't considered. I have occasionally removed my Ati Radeon HD5670 card and instead attempted booting up using my onboard Intel graphics. It generally fails at the same location, though I don't see the graphical corruption. I have re-installed using iAtkos ML3U several times and each time selected different Customization options.. and I haven't had any success with my last couple configurations. Though with an earlier install, I did at one point manage to boot up with the Intel gfx, but couldn't proceed because I only had a PS/2 keyboard and Mac OS X doesn't support it.. I now always select the PS/2 support customization at the time of install. Anyway, any suggestions would be appreciated. I'd also be curious why my iAtkos ML3U usb drive only lets me install once, and always fails subsequent installs.. which has necessitated me re-writing it over and over again each time I want to try different customizations in my install. thanks

    Graphics Card Performance (OpenGL)

Hi all, As you see the title, I like to have a bit of graphics perform under osx. So I like to update with graphics benchmark suck as Luxmark, cinebench, if it could bring geekbench also. I will upload those result later when I am at home. for Lexmark is from http://www.luxrender.net/wiki/LuxMark at mid-page on download, this has version 2.1 now. for cinebencz http://www.maxon.net/products/cinebench/overview.html at the end page.
  11. Hello I'm trying to run my old Ati card in El Capitan. My results: Variant 1: 1. I change default AMD4800Controller.kext && AtiRadeon2000X.kext (0x94401002 => 0x94601002; 0x944a1002 => 0x946a1002) 2. Instal them through KextUtility (csr-active-config = 0x3) 3. I have detected monitor and right resolution and right card-detection, but there are bugs in GUI redraw and non-transparent elements (In attacments). Variant 2: One man from local forum recomends me to change FakeID for ATI in clover config.plist to 0x944a1002 and try different FBNames (MotMot, Quail, Cardinal for my card). But in this variants I have nothing. I believe in your help, I'm noob in hackintosh (my first attempt in installation) Thanks alot.

    ATI RADEON HD 5770 - 5870

Hello, I want to buy an ATI video card for my system, see signature. Using Clover and I have two partitions, one with Mavericks and the other with Yosemite. My SMBIOS is MacPro5,1 and I'd like to use an ATI 5770 or 5870 but before purchasing would like to know if it is compatible and / or how much work it would have to do to make it go. I currently have an NVIDIA GT640 that works on both systems with the drivers web. You know you recommend? Thank You
