  1. Hi Specs: 3 monitor setup (2x 1920x1080, 1x2560x1440). AMD 7950 Sapphire (2x DVI, 1 HDMI, 1 Displayport). OSX Yosemite, Chameleon bootloader 2 monitors plugged into dvi ports, 3rd one running on an active Displayport -> HDMI adapter. All 3 monitors work in windows. The 3rd monitor is recognized by OSX. It shows up in display preferences and I can move my mouse over it, but it is a black screen. If I set the computer to sleep and bring it back, the 3rd monitor works, but I don't want to have to put my computer to sleep right after turning it on. I tried the FB-rotate trick, didn't work. Is there anyone with a similar setup that has any insights into this?
  2. I have the strangest problem, looked everywhere and haven't seen anyone having such issue. I installed iAtkos ML2 and it works OOB. I then updated using the combo update 10.8.3 - it now supports my graphics card. no errors, no freezes, installation and update went through peacefully. problem: after the update, just before showing the logon screen I get a full white screen on both monitors but the mouse cursor still works. I can see it configured resolution and dual monitor settings correctly as the cursor size is the right one and I can move it to and from the second monitor. I had a feeling this white screen was just a curtain and tried typing a few keyboard shortcuts and clicking on places I knew there was something that could be clicked and it works. the system is fully functional behind the white screen. I am still able to see the desktop if I boot in safe mode but then I lose graphics acceleration and USB devices don't work as they should. any help is more than appreciated!

    Sapphire 7950 Dual-X

Hi everyone, I have this system: z77-d3sh i73770 Works perfect with my 650 ti boost Yosemite 10.10.5 with latest clover but i want to replace it with a 7950 from sapphire with 2 dvi ports 1 hdmi 1dp which i know i have to patch it to match the reference models with 2 dps and 1 dvi 1 dvi. The only way i can get to desktop is to inject fake id of a 290x (0x6939) but that uses amd8000controller , it has similar layout with my card since amd7000controller don't have any 2 dvi cards. I followed the guide on patching but i'm confused at this point. I extracted the vbios and decode it. I attached the results and the the last 8 hex from each port but now i'm stuck, I know that i had to boot my system with one of the amd7000controller supported models and patch it but i can only boot with a amd8000 one. I've searched for other non-reference cards result like those from asus and xfx, sapphire vapor x but no luck. Can someone help me?Thank you so much! code results.rtf decoders.rtf config.plist.zip
  4. I am attempting to install 10.9 on my AMD computer. It's going much better than when I tried to install OS 10.8, but not a hell of a lot. I downloaded the AMD kernel for the FX processors from here: http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/Patched_Kernels And I replaced the standard Mach Kernel with it. Here is the hardware FX6300 Gigabyte 990FXAUD3 XFX Double D 7950 8GB of RAM I used MyHack to create the installer with the retail copy from the app store. boot flags: arch=x86_64 PCIRootID=0 npci=0x2000 CPUs=1 GraphicsEnabler=No -v -f -x maxmem4096 It gets much farther than it did with 10.8, but it still hangs. This is where it hangs: So any ideas on where to go from here?

    ati 7950 hd maverick

  7. Ciao a tutti. Grazie. EDIT: allegato config.plist config.plist.zip
  8. Hello everyone. I have some problem with post installation on Maverick. My setup is as follows: - AsRock Z77 Extreme4 - I5 3570k - AMD HD 7950 - 8 Gb Ram Corsair Vengeance - 840 Pro 256 GB SSD I created a USB following this guide, flashed the BIOS of the motherboard with the patched version 2.70, and set the BIOS as here (except for the setting of CSM). I managed to install Maverick disabling CSM. Now I have two situations: - With the CSM disabled can load OS X without any problems, but I don't see the Win7 installation. The only "problem" is that I detect two monitors (although I have VGA and DVI connected to the same), and I see them side by side. - With the CSM enabled i can see the installation of Win7, but I can not load OS X, I get stuck on the classic Bluetooth, probably related to the video card. If I force -x I reach the desktop, but i see 3 desktops overlapped and only on the top half of the screen. I have to edit the framebuffer as explained here? I'm not allowed to attach the file config.plist, can I upload to dropbox if needed. I'm not very experienced in kext and bootloader configurations, be lenient ... If you tell me what to check to make it easier to "debug" I will be happy to do so. Thanks. EDIT: attached config.plist config.plist.zip
  9. Hi guys, i'm trying to help a friend of mine trying to install osx(possibly high sierra) on his pc with the following specs: Amd fx8350 Asrock 990fx extreme 3 8gb of fury Kingston ddr3 ram(2x4) Radeon hd 7950 128gb ssd( crucial m550) A couple of hdds I don't remember the brand(maybe a seagate barracuda and a dumb old disk for data) We tried to install it using the regular clover+high showers installer but we couldn't get it to reach the installer, then we tried osx-amd(don't know if i can talk about it there, sorry if i can't) and we still couldn't get to the installer. Is there a guide i can use to install osx in that machin, i tried to search in the forum but i couldn't find it.
  10. Hi guys, Context and Information: This is my current Hackintosh build - http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/jwmann/saved/BJw6Mp I'm currently running 10.8.5 and using FBrotate.app as a startup item to alleviate my white screen issue to login. I'm trying to update to Yosemite (10.10.1) I've made my installer using this method: sudo /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ Yosemite.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/MyGUIDInstallerUSB --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ Yosemite.app --no interaction I'm using Clover to inject my FakeSMC and other kexts. Here's my config for Clover incase that helps. - http://d.pr/n/1esKg/38AVJwdG How I'm booting: I'm able to boot into the Installer, however I get a whitescreen issue and I'm not capable of doing anything. These are the usual flags that I use to boot: -v -npci=2000 -slide=0 -darkwake=1 It also boots fine without any flags. What I've tried: I've tried to perform the sleep trick, however my computer doesn't seem to respond to my sleep. I'm attempting to initiate Sleep by pressing the Power button once and waiting. Holding down the Power button will initiate a Forced Hard Shutdown Of course the next thing I've tried is to boot the installer using the -x boot flag for Safe Mode. This doesn't boot properly and says "No Mac OS Version" and ends up restarting. I don't have the exact logs to this but I'm fairly certain the reason why Safe Mode doesn't work is because it doesn't inject the kexts needed for the boot to work properly. Update #1: I've tried the 4 framebuffers from this list that have the same ports as my card - http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/292647-no-video-playback-on-hd7770/?p=1954322 These are the Framebuffers I tried and their outcomes: Aji - White Screen issue Dashimaki - Black Screen ( Not working at all ) Futomaki - Black Screen ( Not working at all ) Hamachi - White Screen issue
