  1. Hi all. i's been 9 years since my last post and struggle with then actual OS X 10.4 here is my problem: few weeks a go i've built my self a hackintosh around GA-P67A-UD3-B3. More or less all was working except problem with sleep. than upgraded my build with GA-Z87-HD3. With no OS reinstallation everything really worked great OOB (even the sleep) except the onboard ALC892 audio. I've downloaded patched AppleHDA.kext from the download section and installed it with Kext utility. I can see it listed in the System info but nothing in the sound options need guru help here thx

Hello world, I have decided to upload my own personally hex edited driver for the XFX Radeon 6670HD 2Gb video card with the HDMI-DVI-VGA setup. This is modified from a stock 10.9.3 AMD6000Controller.kext file with the Ipomoea personality edited to suit the connectors, encoders and transmitters for this card since they differ from the mac-based display port 6670HD model. I have tested the HDMI and DVI which appear to work at the same time since i'm dual screening with these connections currently - the screenshots can confirm this. I have yet to test the device using the VGA slot since I have no need for this connector. Hopefully it works all the same. Install to S/L/E with a utility such as Kext Wizard - backup replacements to be safe - repair permissions and then reboot. ---IMPORTANT--- The required bootflags for this kext to be activated are GraphicsEnabler=Yes aticonfig=Ipomoea atiports=3 **You will need to remove any injectors prior from either /Extra or /S/L/E though this is unlikely needed since kext graphics injection is largely outdated. **Due to the chip on the card triple monitoring is not possible. Best of luck

One file is for 10.9.2 another for 10.9.3. Recommended If you don't want to use the patched AppleHDA download the Dummy HDA. Read the READ ME to get it working Perfectly. Update 1: Using DummyHDA.kext to load AppleHDA( this means no more sound loss on update ). thanks to Pokenguyen. To get the dummyHDA.kext to work configure Clover to patch AppleHDA. Further instructions in the zip file. Open read me first! Enjoy. HIT LIKE if it works!

    "Out of Range"

Hi, I somehow managed to install OSX Mavericks 10.9.0, and later upgrade it to 10.9.3 to my Intel i7 920 (Stock0 DFI LANPARTY x58 UT t3eh8 SaPPHIRE 4850 1 GB CARD, BenQ E2200HD (DVI Connected) The problem i am facing is, whenever i tried to install QE/CI Exotic Patch for Mavericks (ATI 48xx Gfx) 10.9.3, after resart i get "OUT OF RANGE" on my monitor error right after the apple boot screen. I treid various boot flags like: GraphicsEnabler = Yes/No PCRootUID=0/1 npci=0x2000 -v, -f, -x, still no luck.. i haven't install any other graphics support kext, did i missed something anyone out there who can guide me to resolve the problem... my org.chameleon.boot plist <dict> <key>EthernetBuiltIn</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>No</string> <key>IGPEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Kernel</key> <string>mach_kernel</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string></string> <key>Legacy Logo</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Timeout</key> <string>2</string> <key>HDEFLayoutID</key> <string>01000000</string> <key>UseKernelCache</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>HDAEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> </dict>
  5. Hi ! I've got a strange problem with my PCGenRTL8139Ethernet.kext : I have an Asus p5gc-mx/1333 and a PCI Ethernet NIC with RTL8139 chipset running 10.9.3. Everything was fine until yesterday. For some unknown reason, the ethernet connection stoppped working. I tried to boot -f or - x or -x -f -v, UseKernelCache=Yes/No, USBBusFix=Yes/No, PCIRoot=0 etc. but still no connection anymore. I re-installed the kext, rebuild cache & permissions, no way. I deleted NetworkInterface.plist then re-installed the kext once again. After severeal attemps, I got my connection back and everything was OK until… next reboot. I started over with random success (sometimes it boots fine and the interface is recognized when I use bootflag -v). But everytime I reboot, I m' not sure the connection will be back. I'm sure the NIC works fine as I have no issue on Windows 8.1. In verbose mode, I've noticed that message : "ethernet cannot wake assert from d3cold" when things goes wrong. When the connection is OK, I see PCGenRTL8139 disable flow control (something like that, can't remember the exact message ;-( I made no change in my setup except the change of my Radeon HD 5450 by a Radeon HD 6570 and when I updated tfrom 10.9.2 to 10.9.3, everything was OK so I really don't know why I suddendly have this problem now. Any help please ? Thanks ! [sOLVED] My Asus P5GC-MX/1333 has a known bug with the bottom PCI Slot where my LAN Adapter was attached. Just moved it to the upper one and my card is now recognized. But a mystery remains : the bottom PCI SLot was previously filled with my Lan Adapter and the upper one was with a Firewire Adapter and this setup was working. When I recently removed the Firewire adapter and left the Lan card on the bottom slot, problems started to occurs. Now my Firewire adapter fills the bottom slot and it's not recognized. This is a minor issue for me but that's a strage behavior…

This is a patched version of an official vanilla mach_kernel from Mavericks 10.9.3, allowing Z87 Haswell motherboards capable of booting without reboot loops or kernel panics. The following perl scripts have been applied to the vanilla mach_kernel for 10.9.3: #1 perl -pi -e 's|\x74\x6c(\x48\x83\xc7\x28\x90\x8b\x05..\x5e\x00\x85\x47\xdc)\x74\x54(\x8b\x4f\xd8\x45\x85\xc0\x74\x08\x44\x39\xc1\x44\x89\xc1)\x75\x44(\x0f\x32\x89\xc0\x48\xc1\xe2\x20\x48\x09\xc2\x48\x89\x57\xf8\x48\x8b\x47\xe8\x48\x85\xc0\x74\x06\x48\xf7\xd0\x48\x21\xc2\x48\x0b\x57\xf0\x49\x89\xd1\x49\xc1\xe9\x20\x89\xd0\x8b\x4f\xd8\x4c\x89\xca)(\x0f\x30\x8b\x4f\xd8\x0f\x32\x89\xc0\x48\xc1\xe2\x20\x48\x09\xc2\x48\x89\x17\x48\x83\xc7\x30\xff\xce)\x75\x99(\x5d\xc3)\x90{7}|\x74\x73${1}\x74\x5b${2}\x75\x4b${3}\x66\x81\xf9\xe2\x00\x74\x02${4}\x75\x92${5}|g' mach_kernel #2 perl -pi -e 's|(\x25\x1c\x00\x00\x00\x48\x8d\x0d..\x5e\x00\x3b\x01)\x74(\x11\x48\x8d\x3d...\x00\x44)|${1}\xeb${2}|g' mach_kernel I take no credit for the creation of the perl scripts used. Patches #1 & #2 have been documented on this blog by the original owner here. Shout outs to Pike R. Alpha whose code the patches are based on, he lives here. Tested on EVGA Z87 FTW Please let me know if it works well for you so I can confirm the amount of success users are having. Thanks
  8. Yesterday, I installed 10.9.3 update for my Maverick installation. After that, I cannot see the log in screen any more. When the system is booting, I saw console output and everything normal. After that, the log in screen should be shown, but I just got "No signal" on my monitor. This problem is very close to the one here. Graphic card: Geforce 760 Bootloader: Clover EFI Monitor: LCD with DVI port BTW: I tried to plug in a HDMI monitor to the system and the log in screen can be seen on that monitor. However, the two DVI ports on this graphic card does not output any signal.
  9. Hello This is my first post currently i am posting this on my os x 10.9 mavericks i tried to install the clover efi on the hdd it booted but can't boot into the os x ... i must use the usb to boot the os x... System specs : CPU : Core i7 4770 non k ! MB : ASUS MAXIMUS VI FORMULA RAM : kingston HyperX BEAST 2x8 16GB kit HDD : lots of stuff but i am using a western digital 500GB caviar green drive for testing , will be upgrading to intel series 320 160 GB SSD GPU : ASUS Nvidia GTX 650 TI BOOST OC (I know that this gnu is irrelevant with the rest of the specs this is my old gpu) SPU : the internal ALC1150 for now. WIFI+BLUETOOTH : included mpcie combo . So i need help regarding booting the os x without any problems and without the usb. also i need to get the wifi & bluetooth working. I think the gnu is detected automatically maybe it's fine. Thanks EDIT : now i discovered that you don't support tonymac's software , i am not asking for support for his software , i have a working OS X installation missing a working boot loader.
  10. On my X58 system in my signature, it has been an ongoing issue (since 10.9.0) for me to able to successfully load Mavericks without NullCPUPowerMangement. So far I have tried patching the AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement (described here) while removing NullCPUPowerManagement, and receiving a KP upon rebooting. I also tried using different kernel versions with NCPM installed: an xcpm-free unaltered version (found here, although it wasn't necessary) would cause a KP, but using a patched kernel (for xcpm, described here) and the GM vanilla kernel would load 10.9 trouble-free. However a KP will still arise each time using one of the kernels without NCPM. I attempted to use the PMPatch utility (found here) but it won't be of any use because my X58 system isn't a UEFI motherboard. I am also using a personalized SSDT made for my system. I have successfully booted into 10.7.5 and 10.8.5 without using NullCPUPowerMangement. I would also like to know why this process is so different from 10.7.5 and 10.8.5 aside from the fact that PM is performed by the kernel. Other than that, if there's any other ideas someone may have so that I can accomplish my goal of loading Mavericks without NullCPUPowerManagement I would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
