  5. I know this all mainly about OSx86. But I wonder if you could point me in the right direction... I have a Mac that came with Mavericks preinstalled. However, I want to use Lion instead. Is there a custom build I could use on it?

    updating to 10.7.5

i would definitely call my 10.7.3 Lion OSx86 install perfect (well some minor cosmetic glitches which can be overlooked). everything is working as it should. i'm tempted to update to 10.7.5. is it necessary? if so, any precautions i should take and/or files/folders to backup in case everything goes to hell after the update? thanks!
An Unknown Error Has Occurred".
  9. I managed to install 10.7.5 combo update on my computer running iATKOS L2 OS X Lion 10.7.2. The installation went fine without any problem. After install finished, I ran this script: http://www.souldevteam.net/blog/2012/09/21/10-7-5-and-10-8-2-on-a-hackintosh/ I was able to successfully boot into 10.7.5 system. However, one problem has been making me annoying--when I plug in a flash drive, or probably anything USB, my computer immediately throws a kernel panic. What could be the reason? This was not a problem before I ran the update.

    GTX 480 crashes on 10.7.5

I had a perfectly working installation on 10.7.2, OpenCL/GL was enabled, and I never got a crash with that config. I'm using the MacPro5,1 profile. I upgraded to 10.7.5, with a lot of problems. Now whenever I use a GL heavy app like VLC, the system crashes. I get artifacts, etc., as well from time to time. System doesn't survive more than 15 minutes. I believe there is nothing wrong with my hardware (if somehow the new drivers didn't kill my card), because it seems to work properly on another leopard installation. Did anyone have a similar situation with 4xx cards? I tried installing NVIDIA web drivers, it didn't help, I'm trying again as I write this. Thanks in advance,
  12. Hi, folks! The title is quite self-explanatory: currently i have a G210 running. It works pretty OOB, even with the HDMI out. Audio is provided by the use of the latest VoodooHDA. This card, though, seems to be ending its lifetime, experiencing random crashes, specially with graphic-intensive games, but since some time ago, even with full screen movies and flash videos. I need a replacement for it, and i thought about the Zotac GT640, since it's newer, more powerful and fits in my board (since it's mATX, the PCI slot i use for ethernet is quite close to the one i use to my graphics, so any replacement has to take that in mind) and doesn't need that 4-or-six pin to work, drawing power from the PCI-e slot only. Unfortunately, i also use an AMD CPU with this HTPC, meaning that i cannot update to Mountain Lion without losing QE/CI because of a bug in the kernel (unless with some ATI cards, but its hit-or-miss and, given the use for this machine, this kind of uncertainty puts Mountain Lion out of question for now). Therefore, i'm in Lion, running in 32-bit kernel mode (because of the same QE/CI bug that affects Mountain Lion kernels for AMD), and i read somewhere that the drivers for Kepler are 64-bit only, so i'm out of luck. So, i need a graphics card that works OOB with 10.7.5 in 32-bit kernel mode, has a working HDMI out under OSX, and that fits in my motherboard, regarding the limits described above. I though about a GT240, which i also read elsewhere it's recommended for HTPC setups, but any alternative suggestion will be highly appreciated. Best regards!
  13. Hello. Recently I bought a GTX 570 to my Mac Pro 4.1 to have some CUDA support in Resolve and CS6. I did the trick using the nVidia drivers from their own website (card + CUDA) and ran a small terminal-code to provide even OpenCL support to this card. But performance was way far of worse in FCPX and Motion. So I downloaded the preview of 10.7.5 and 10.8 and installed it. Way better performance (there share the same driver package) but no OpenCL support. The old tricks obviously don't work in this release. So is there anybody succeded this procedure? Thank you
Vedremo ulteriori novita'. Vi terrò aggiornati. Fonte 1) QUI Fonte 2) QUI Fabio71
  15. Hello, fellow Hackintosh-ians I'm hoping to get some expert advice for getting sleep to work on my Asus G50V. It has an ICH9 chipset and Core 2 duo P7450 at 2.13 GHz. It goes to sleep (S3) with the light flashing, but it does not wake up entirely, showing nothing on the screen with unresponsive input. I have tried all the ICH9 DSDT patches, sleepenabler to no avail. As far as I can tell, it is generating 8 different P states and HWMonitor is showing that the CPU is properly moving between all of them as needed. The laptop also has an NV GF 9800GS M. This graphics card tends to run fairly hot/warm in Mac OS X, less so than it does in Ubuntu Linux with Unity w/OpenGL effects. Maybe this is normal, however, I would suspect this being the culprit for preventing sleep. 16. Hi, I have a working hackintosh with Lion installed on it, version 10.7.2 My computer's specs are intel i3 2310 cpu nvidia 315m 4GB ram BT which doesn't work card reader works OOB Atheros AR5007 (i think, but it's not a problem cause I have the kext for it) I start having problems when I update the system to version 10.7.4 or 10.7.5. When I update Mac OSX, the kext for wireless isn't loaded anymore. So wireless connection stops working. This is strange because I had 10.7.4 previously and wifi worked. Then I had to install lion from scratch and it is not working if I update it to 10.7.4. I also am able to install 10.8 but in that case, the graphics card is not recognised along with the wifi. And in the case of 10.8 the IO80211 kext is loaded but doesn't work. All kexts I use are 64bit. Can anyone help me with this, because I have installed Lion more than 10 times and updated it to try and make it work. Thanks
