3. I used Boot Disk Utility(http://adf.ly/1LHMts) to burn the Clover bootloader and Snow_Leopard_10.6.1-10.6.2_SSE2_SSE3_Intel_AMD_by_Hazard.iso onto my Lexar USB 16GB(I made two partition). When i try to boot into Hazard it showed soo many codes then it just stop, why does it do that?is there anyway to fix this? Here's a video to show you the problem:http://www.megafileupload.com/4Qc8/Clover_won_t_boot.mp4
4. Hi, I tried to install iATKOS S3 V2 on my old Acer Extensa 4620 (not 4620z). The installation worked (though I had to remove the battery), and i could not boot into the OS. So i tried -v -x, and it worked, and I could set it up. But the verbose mode showed a lot of errors about something like AppleUSBUHCI.kext not loading or something. The main issue is that my trackpad isnt working, usb mouse not working, wireless mouse also tried, not working. But the keyboard is working.! Any suggestions on how to get back my mouse(stuck on top left of screen)?? (Last resort, I can install it again, if someone tells me what drivers to enable, because the last install worked on some random selection of drivers) Thanks in advance ---------------------------------- SYSTEM SPECS (if required) [ If any more required, ask) ---------------------------------- Model : Acer Extensa 4620 Processer: Intel Core 2 Duo 2 GHz RAM : 3 GB DDR2 Graphics / Display : Mobile intel 965 express chipset family (I also see X3100 somewhere) BIOS : (Dont know for sure) Phoenix v1.00PARTTBL HDD : 160GB ?? In dxdiag, I found PS/2 devices connected :: HID Keyboard Device Standard PS/2 Keyboard PS/2 Compatible Mouse HID Compliant mouse. And also, my mouse and keyboard both worked DURING the install, but not after it ???? Edit: Reinstalling with the proper drivers might be better, if somebody provides me with a list of drivers
5. Hi everyone, I have a P5LD2-VM Motherboard that I am wanting to update to 10.6.3 It's running a Pentium D Dual core chip with 4GB of RAM and the onboard video (intel 950) As the only other card I have is an HD4650 and from what I have seen it doesn't play nice with OS X. Ill run the specs of the rig again on the bottom of this post. Anyways I started out by having 10.5.7 installed and found out that its a little outdated. so I got my hands on iAtkos S3 and it boots fine and installs fine just when I go to boot into the newly installed system it shuts off my computer. I ran the verbose flag and the text went by way too fast for me to catch what it says a second before it turns off. I think it said CPU halted system shutting down but that could just be my brain seeing things. the options I chose from the "Customize" list were -Chameleon RC5 -32 Bit boot mode -qoopz 10.3.0 Voodoo powermanagement and p state the rest I believe were drivers for intels sata and the graphics Trying to boot into safe mode and verbose both turn off the computer and if it doesnt turn off the computer it brings it to a black blank screen. Any help would be appreciated I will get the model of CPU when I get back onto the computer. I was certain it would be a little bit more breezy of an install cause on iatkos.me is says its supported. Oh well thats why I came here. Thanks in advance.
6. Evening all. Have completed my install on my other PC, (core2duo), installed easily but now, am attempting to get my AMD box to run. Not ideal, but does anyone know where I can go from here. MoBo is an MS 7786 v1.0 with AMD A6 APU. Currently installed, is 10.6.3 using the Nawcom boot disc. OS is runing fine, currently have no graphics card installed. I have a GT610 here that works well in the Core2Duo, but not on 10.6.3 (afaik its too old to support this card). So, my questions are moving foward : Can i get a gfx card (PCIexpress) that will work in this machine? I used software update, and after that it wouldnt boot, even with flags. Am i right in thinking, i wiped out the AMD kernel, etc when updated? Is there a way to get a newer version of OSX on here? I have no problem in purchasing it to get it to run. Im sure there will be more... cheers! Kev.
7. Hi, I am installing Snow Leopard 10.6.3 onto my Acer One 751h netbook. I have been following this guide. What I have had to do differently though is use the NBI 0.84 RC1 to get into the installer as otherwise by simply using the bootloader that got installed on there already by the netbookinstaller app, it gave me a kernal panic as soon as I tried booting it. The next thing I had to do was get the JMicron36xATA.kext and inject it into the extensions.mkext on the Install DVD (on usb stick), by following this guide. This was so that it could see my IDE internal HDD. It installed no problem, it even came up with that the installation was successful rather than what a lot have often had "installation failed" (although it has installed), but when I start it up (obviously going through the NBI on the USB, when I click enter normally it will come up with the apple logo and the loading wheel, and then a symbol will appear on the logo (image below) So I boot into Verbose mode so I can see where it stops (image below in link) http://imageshack.us/a/img198/4083/mo50.jpg So I searched "still waiting for boot device" and came across this tutorial but I try following it by entering what is quoted below, but I have this (quoted below) appear which obviously is showing that it didn't do anything. I am enjoying myself doing this, and thats mainly what I use my netbook for, to mess around with it lol and I am pleased that I have managed to get really far without asking for help, but I do need a bit of help now lol Thanks for the help and if you need to specs of my netbook, they are here.... The only thing that is different is that I have 2GB ram in instead of the 1gb that came with it previously.
8. Hi all, i Recently managed to install snow leopard 10.6.3 on my AMD Machine however i am having an issue with my graphics card not being detected stopping me from changing my resolution, The info that is displayed for my graphics is Type: GPU Bus: PCie PCie Lane Width: x16 VRam (Total): 256 MB Vendor: ATI (0X1002) Device ID: 0x6758 Revision ID: 0X0000 Kernel Extension Info: No Kext Loaded Resolution: 800 x 600 Pixel Depth: 32-Bit Color (ARGB8888) Main Display: Yes Mirror: off Online: Yes My computer specs Are: MOBO: ASUS M5A78L-M/USB3 RAM : 8GB DDR3 1600 MHz CPU : AMD Phenom x4 Quad-Core 965 OC @ 3.80GHz Video card: Ati Sapphire Radeon 6670 1GB DDR5 Im a noob to the hackintosh scene and i may not understand certain terms or procedures, im also not quite sure the correct procedure to install kexts so apologies beforehand for my lack of knowledge and i hope you can guide me with helping me resolve this issue
9. I have successfully installed iAtkos S3 Version 2 onto a Dell Inspiron 1520 laptop BUT on initial boot the laptop display does not show the mac login screen, however if i press fn-shift-esc (i.e put the laptop to sleep) and then press the power button (i.e to wake it up again) the display is as it should be.Athough this is not exactly disastrous it is becoming more and more annoying. Anyone have any idea about this?? Thanks in advance.
10. Hardware: System: Dell Precision 490, single processor Processor: Xeon Woodcrest 5130 Memory:2 GB RAM (2x1) Disk: ST380013AS BIOS: AHCI enabled Video: Sapphire HD 5450 1GB DDR3 (using the DVI output) K/M: both USB Network: onboard for now but will buy a Sonnet Gigabyte card if needed I'm a Windows guy with many years of complex workstations and servers, but near zippo on Macs. I'm trying to build a "hack" so that I can document the install and use of various Mac FTP software to send files to a Windows 2008R2 server. Then I'll likely have no further use for it - thus my desire to have a "Mac For a Day". This hardware worked perfectly with Windows 7 Professional - both 32 and 64 bit. I then used GPARTED and deleted the partitions and then set the entire drive to HPF+. Then I'm booting with the Darwin/X86 created from the 490.zip that I previously downloaded and extracted. It shows as Darwin/X86 boot v5.0.132 - Chameleon v2.0-RC3; PCEFI-10.5 BootCDMaker Build date: 2009-10-21 22:45:35 2045 Memory. I can erase the disk and it shows as GUID Partition Table. Using a Snow Leopard 10.6.3 it starts installing and it runs for many minutes until it shows 29 minutes remaining. The completion bar is at the right side of the left X. The DVD drive has a access, there is some disk activity and then it just blows out to a reboot. Then obviously it just hangs. So - any idea where it's at this stage of the install? And more importantly what's my best course of action given that I don't have access to a Mac? I do have lots of other hard drives of various sizes and a few other video cards.
11. Well after 3 excruciatingly long days I have finally done it! I manged to get OSX 10.6.8 installed on my AMD machine but i'm still stuck in a few places... I am a super noob at this but good with tech work in general. I'm a Programmer/Web Developer/Hardware/Software Support guy by trade. hardware info: AMD FX4100 ATI HD5450 Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H So I used ModCD and a retail copy of 10.6.3 with the following flags: rd(0,0)/Extra/modbin_kernel arch=i386 legacy_kernel cpus=1 busratio=17 colors=32 GraphicsEnabler=No After a successful install I still couldn't get my machine to boot without a few flags: busratio=17 colors=32 UseKernelCache=No npci=0x2000 Once I finally reached the OS I did the following: Ran the Apple Combo Update for 10.6.8. Before rebooting installed legacy kernel AMD for 10.6.8 Ran Mulitbeast 3.10.x and installed all kexts, fixes, and ##### stuff Committed the second set of flags above to my org.chamelon.boot.plist Rebooted So the machine currently boots and runs but adding the ati5000injector.kext for my HD5450 to my Extras/Extensions folder causes the boot process to stall until it's removed. It seems to stall at the NvClockX loading process which i'm guessing is some sort of nvidia driver. Can I remove these drivers or is there a better way to get my ATI card to work? Can I fix my boot process so I don't have to use so many hardcoded flags to get it to start? Thanks in advance -Mike
12. [Help] AsRock M3N78D 10.6 Install

Hello all, First of all to introduce myself, my name is Marin and I come from Croatia, Europe. I must say you have really nice community here and if anyone can help me solve "my problems" its you guys. So I have done a lot of reading last few weeks and decided to try to install os x on my AMD machine (it is not my first time instaling i have already in my home 2 intell pc running succesfully 10.7. and 10.6. but unlucky for me this AMD machine is the strongest and i use it as my first pc). So my current config is: Motherboard: ASRock M3N78D (Chipset: nForce 720a) CPU: AMD Athlon II X4 640 3000Ghz Memory: 3x Mushkin DDR3 2048MB (6GB) GPU: ATI Radeon HD 5670 HD: SATA 1TB Searching google and the forum i found only 2 posts about my mobo and the second was the link to the first. It is pointing me to the 10.6.2 Hazard distro, but i cant seem to boot that one either. I already tried 10.6.0 retail + modcd, 10.6.3 + modcd, iAtkos S3 v2 with many boot flags one by one, also i changed my bios settings to match those that were writen in forums and in all AMD guides. All install media is restored on my mac machine onto a usb hd (150GB, HSF+), for some reason even when i did modusb on my external hd after restore, it didnt want to boot on my amd machine and i had to use burned modcd. I managed to get 2-3 time in install gui but after language selection it would give me error that "install media is not clean" or something similar like i have to eject cd and clean it with cloath then return it in cd drive... I spent last 2 weeks trying to instal this on my own but no luck hope there is someone who can help Ty in advance
13. I have just setup a working 10.6.3 with iATKOS S3 on an old machine (Intel 946 GZ, Pentium D, 2 GB Ram, nVidia 210). Now I am trying to install iLife '11 form a img DVD but, after the license agreement and the install option choice, I receive an "unknown error" at the very beginning of the installation process. Since iLife '11 requires 10.6.3 or better, I can't understand why it doesn't work. Any suggestion? Thank you in advance. Regards.

16. I need help! I have read guides about installing mac on this motherboard, and they all mentioned a modified BIOS, but ALL the links are broken. Can anyone send me the appropriate file? I have downgraded my BIOS to 2.0, but I don't know if that is enough. I have installed 10.6.3 on a bootable USB stick (with myhack). Does anyone know the highest Snow Leopard version this motherboard supports? Thanks.
17. Hi all, i've been able to get OS X 10.6.3 installed on my Chronos using the ##### method. Here is what works right after the install: -Keyboard -USB 2.0 port -Bluetooth -Ethernet -Screen gives VGA 1024x768x32 graphics(not full resolution, full res. = 1600x900x32.) Things not working: -Wifi -Trackpad Fixed with Chimera 1.7.0, install via #####. -Audio(Audio is garbled and can give feedback from microphone.) Use this kext: http://www.osx86.net..._voodoohda.html -keyboard backlight -USB 3.0 ports Have not tested: -Mini VGA port -HDMI port In order to boot from from ##### you need to edit some settings in the BIOS and erase the 8GB express Cache. -First use diskpart or disk management in windows(or Gpart in Ubuntu) to make the SDD free space. -AHCI = enabled -UEFI boot = disabled Boot into ##### swap the disk with a retail 10.6.3 disk. Press F5 to refresh the drives(Refresh can take 30-40 seconds). Before hitting enter on the install disk type: busratio=24 OR Boot into iAtkos L3 V2 and install from there. In order to install You will have to set the main disk to GUID Partition Table.(MBR allows booting from the HDD instead of always having to use #####.) I completely wiped my drive to do this. So you should back up your files from Windows. You can do this in disk utility. If you would like to dual boot with Windows along side OSX, you should create 2 partitions and set one to FAT for Windows to format later. After you are done partitioning continue with the OSX install if you do not want to dual boot. If you would like to dual boot exit the OSX installer and boot into a Windows installation disk and format the partition you set as FAT for Windows with the Windows partition editor. Install windows completely. Then boot back into and OSX install disk and continue. In order to boot into OSX after the install replace the installation disk with the ##### disk and boot into the drive you installed it on. Or leave the iAtkos install disk in and press F8 to select the OSX partition. Once booted download #####. Use ##### to install Chimera, Voodoo PS2 mouse driver, MacBook Pro 8,1 SMBOIS, and a chameleon theme if you wish. also repair permissions. Do not install the HDA drivers listed in #####, also stay away from installing network drivers from there, they have caused me to kernel panic. For audio download the kext i listed and kext wizard. Use kext wizard to install that kext in /system/library/extensions/ make sure to repair permissions.
