  3. Hi all, Since 10.11.x and a fresh installed system I have the problem that I can't shutdown. When I shutdown the regular way with the Finder, than everything quit, even the Finder but the Dock stays. Nothing else happens. Not even after an hour. I still can startup apps though but as soon all apps are closed then I have an empty desktop again with no menubar but only the Dock. Console doesn't show me really a big problem from the moment I choose shutdown: 15/11/15 14:39:09,214 WindowServer[175]: CGXGetConnectionProperty: Invalid connection 54795 15/11/15 14:39:09,215 spindump[542]: Got xpc error message in libspindump client connection: Connection invalid 15/11/15 14:39:09,215 garcon[555]: host connection <NSXPCConnection: 0x7fc0831155d0> connection from pid 403 invalidated 15/11/15 14:39:09,215 garcon[555]: Garcon destroyed (0 alive). 15/11/15 14:39:09,215 WindowServer[175]: CGXGetConnectionProperty: Invalid connection 54795 15/11/15 14:39:09,215 WindowServer[175]: CGXGetConnectionProperty: Invalid connection 54795 15/11/15 14:39:09,215 WindowServer[175]: CGXGetConnectionProperty: Invalid connection 54795 15/11/15 14:39:09,216 syncdefaultsd[1274]: SecTaskLoadEntitlements failed error=3 15/11/15 14:39:09,216 WindowServer[175]: CGXGetConnectionProperty: Invalid connection 54795 15/11/15 14:39:09,220 syncdefaultsd[1274]: com.apple.finder has been removed from syncing apps. 15/11/15 14:39:14,234 pkd[414]: client 1308 plug-in com.getdropbox.dropbox.garcon election := 1 The weird thing is that I can shutdown via Terminal by doing sudo Halt command. I'm using latest Clover (v3320) with shutdown_fix checked but uncheck that doesn't help. Also using a patched DSDT.aml so maybe something there is wrong but I'm not that good in DSDT patches. I attached my dsdt for the person who is so kind to take a look at it. Any other input appreciated. Thanks, BiTRiP DSDT.aml.zip config.plist.zip
  4. I tried to update to 10.11.1 using the mac app store. When my hackintosh tries to 'restart', it never terminates the shutdown process and hangs in a black screen. What am i doing wrong?
  5. Hi, After I changed motherboard from Asus Z170-P D3 to Gigabyte Z170-HD3 DDR3 when El Capitan 10.11.1 with Clover r3320 is booting to Install, it's saying this below, and after that it's rebooting automatic "OsxApitoFixDrv: Starting overrides for System\Library\CoreServices\boot.efi" "Using reloc block: yes, hibernate wake: no" I tried -f, -x, -v, GraphicsEnabler= No, -s, cpus=1 , I changed OsxApitoFixDrv with OsxApitoFix2Drv from Clover Installation , I tried Pike's patch for Skylake's, I changed many SMBIOS , I tried with Internal Graphic card, but the same problem still exist.
  7. On 10.11.1, most of the time, I don't have working internet or USB3 (both the NIC and usb3 are PCIe cards). Occasionally, about every 4th or 5th boot, they will work. Even when it's not working, the NIC is detected under System Profiler and shows up as "Connected" under the Preferences, but I can't ping any addresses, even my router. I have tried flushing the cache. Same goes for the USB3 - hardware shows up but is not functional. I've had this problem going from Mavericks to Yosemite but fixed it by installing old versions of the following kexts: AppleACPIPlatform.kext (version 2.0) IOACPIFamily.kext (version 1.4) IOPCIFamily.kext (version 2.8) IOUSBFamily.kext (version 675.4.0) I have not been able to upgrade past 10.10.3 with these kexts due to dependencies changing, etc. I was hoping a clean 10.11.1 would just fix everything (naive, I know). The situation is the same with both Clover and Chameleon installations, and I've tried several smbios's (3,1 and 5,1, iMac14,2). I have one other PCIe card - my 980 GTX, which works 100 percent of the time. My mobo (see signature) is a server board so I'm sure this problem is due to some strangeness related to how PCIe is set up on my board. I just don't know where to look or what to do to fix the problem. I thought about adding the cards to my DSDT but since they are always detected I'm not sure that would make a difference? I can also use IORegistryExplorer but don't really know what I'm looking for. Any guidance or suggestions are appreciated!

This is a patched version of an official vanilla kernel from El Capitan 10.11.1, allowing Z87 Haswell motherboards capable of booting without reboot loops or kernel panics. The following perl scripts have been applied to the vanilla kernel for 10.11.1: #1 perl -pi -e 's|\xe2\x00\x00\x00\x02\x00\x00\x00|\x00\x00\x00\x00\x02\x00\x00\x00|g' kernel #2 perl -pi -e 's|\xe2\x00\x00\x00\x4c\x00\x00\x00|\x00\x00\x00\x00\x4c\x00\x00\x00|g' kernel #3 perl -pi -e 's|\xe2\x00\x00\x00\x90\x01\x00\x00|\x00\x00\x00\x00\x90\x01\x00\x00|g' kernel I take no credit for the creation of the perl scripts used. Patches #1, #2, and #3 have been documented on this blog by the original owner here. Shout outs to Pike R. Alpha whose code the patches are based on, he lives here. Tested on EVGA Z87 FTW Please let me know if it works well for you so I can confirm the amount of success users are having. Thanks
