  1. Hi all! I recently updated my Yosemite to the latest release but I noticed one things to fix: my audio works if I'm using the laptop's subwoofer, otherwise if I connect devices to the 3,5mm jack, it continues to come off the laptop instead of earphones/headphones. This is was happens if I use power supply without battery connected to the laptop. When I connect my battery to the laptop, headphones start to work, and they continue to work even if I remove the battery, which seems to be nothing but an injector. If I reboot the computer, without battery connected, again: subwoofers work regardless of whether headset are connected or not. When I was under Yosemite 10.10.2 or 10.10.4 the same thing happened, with the difference that just after the first time that I connected the battery, headphones started to work also without battery and also after reboot. Not only, just after update I removed audio kext (from terminal with "sudo su" "rm -r /System/Library/Extensions/KextName.kext") and I rebooted the OS. At login I noticed that audio was working, but soon after Yosemite installation without the kext I use audio was off! So my suspicion is that 10.10.5 update has modified something but honestly I don't know what.. Here I've attached also my audio kext. Thanks in advance to everyone who'll help me! This is a patched version of an official vanilla kernel from Yosemite 10.10.5 after Security Update 2016-001, allowing Z87 Haswell motherboards with reboot loops or kernel panics capable of booting. The following perl scripts have been applied to the vanilla kernel for 10.9.5 after Security Update 2016-001: #1 perl -pi -e 's|\xe2\x00\x00\x00\x02\x00\x00\x00|\x00\x00\x00\x00\x02\x00\x00\x00|g' kernel #2 perl -pi -e 's|\xe2\x00\x00\x00\x4c\x00\x00\x00|\x00\x00\x00\x00\x4c\x00\x00\x00|g' kernel #3 perl -pi -e 's|\xe2\x00\x00\x00\x90\x01\x00\x00|\x00\x00\x00\x00\x90\x01\x00\x00|g' kernel Patches #1 & #2 have been documented on this blog by the original owner here. Shout outs to Pike R. Alpha whose code the patches are based on, he lives here. 5. With very little work, a basic Yosemite works on this Toshiba laptop http://www.toshiba.fr/laptops/portege/portege-r30/portege-r30-a-19m/ Some glitches are to be expected, and I still haven't solved them yet. See below. Two major points: * USB 3.0 must be disabled in BIOS for the installation to take place, stuck on "waiting for root device" otherwise * KernelPM patch must be applied, instant reboot otherwise Installation method: * OS X Yosemite 10.10 bootable USB for Intel PCs upgraded via Software Update to 10.10.5 * Must claim USB ownership in Clover * Must check fix USB, fix SATA, KernelPM patch Components: * Intel core i5 4210M * Intel HD 4600 PCIID 8086:0416 * Changed the internal intel WiFi card for a DW1510 * Intel Gbe ethernet controller PCIID 8086:153b What works: * QE/CI through RehabMan's FakePCIID_HD4600_HD4400.kext * WiFi, a DW1510 card costs $5 in eBay, original Intel WiFi card is unsupported * Intel Gbe ethernet controller through AppleIntelE1000e.kext * Sound through VoodooHDA 2.8.8 * SpeedStep through Clover Generate PStates & CStates + SSDT.aml generated via ssdtPRGen.sh script, verified with Intel Power Gadget * Battery status via RehabMan's RehabMan-Battery (give that man many beers please!) What does not work: * Touchpad is working as a basic PS/2 mouse with RehabMan's VoodooPS2Controller, no 2-finger scroll, trackpad not recognized by system preferences. Tried MacPois0n ALPS kext without success. * Suspend to RAM / sleep: when system goes "sleeping", it only turns the screen black, CPU still working, fan still spinning. Tried many options here without success Any help appreciated on those 2. HTH Edit 1 Suspend to RAM now "kind of" works: had to remove GenericUSBXHCI.kext and activate USB / AddClockID in order not for instant-resume after sleep. Issues remaining with the sleep function, it takes ages to happen, even with hibernatemode and autopoweroff set to 0 (I checked, no more image file is created). S3 mode works only when it's manually triggered, sleep triggered from inactivity has the laptop reboot. Edit 2 About the trackpad, simple analysis: the touchpad is an ALPS using protocol v7, which has not been implemented in any VoodooPS2Controller ALPS forks (notably bpedman nor DrHurt). This could be done by merging Linux's alps.c/h. Not a hard task, but tedious one.

    Amd Radeon R7 265Dx

  8. So the other day I went and updated my Yosemite installation to 10.10.5, first through the App Store, then directly through Apple's website. After the update completed, my computer restarted and went to Clover. I booted using verbose, as I always do after an update like that. Halfway through booting I got a bunch of "Sandbox: deny" errors flood my screen, all the way until the end of the boot, as seen in the image below. The GUI failed to load, and from the looks of it, a lot of other things too. I am now typing this from a new Yosemite installation and wish to try updating to 10.10.5 again, without damaging my installation. I've searched this error on Google, but none of the methods to fix it work for me. Strangely enough, I can boot into 10.10.5 using Chameleon, but I want to get it to work on Clover because Chameleon messes with my install. On Clover I'm only using the boot-flags rootless=0 , kext-dev-mode=1 , and slide=0. This is a new install and it only has Clover as the bootloader. Please help.
  9. Hi All, i have a urgent question: I have already Yosemite 10.10.5 installed. Everything runs perfect, but an Update 2016-003 is currently available. If i install this update, i am no more able to boot into my system again. After extracting the .pkg, to see whats in the packe, it shows also a kernel. I replaced the kernel after installation also, but no change to boot into my Yosemite. Tried different boot args, What's wrong? I also have the latest Nvidia Webdriver installed. Are there any changes to get install this update? Can someone help me out? My System: AMD Phenom II X6 Core T1090 -- 3,21GHz Mainboard: ASRock 760GM-GS3 8GB DDR3 Ram HDD: 500GB SATA
  10. Hi there. Today, I wanted to install Yosemite 10.10.5 (Niresh for AMD of course) on my second PC. After hours of hard work, it was mainly stable and I installed Chameleon. After a reboot, the bootup gets stuck at "iobluetoothhcicontroller missing bluetooth controller transport". Yes, I looked around in the internet for a fix, but all I found was a fix for Intel. But im an AMD user. So, I'm asking you guys now, how can I fix this? A friend told me I should use a diffrent kernel. But I have no Idea how to install a new kernel. BTW, because of this error, I can't boot into OSX so I cant change anything! I hope that one of you got a solution for this! My specs: OS Version: Yosemite 10.10.5 (Niresh) CPU: AMD A8 5600K Mainboard: Biostar A58MD

  12. Hi, I'm trying to update to 10.10.5 from 10.10 in VMWare, I downloaded the 10.10.5 SSEPlus V3 Kernel, all I need to know now is how to install it onto my system and get it working. Thanks. (I'm new to this, sorry)
  13. Hi, I have installed 10.10.0 Yosemite to my Sony VAIO E Series VPCEH25EN. Boot flags used -v dart=0 -f After installation, I have installed the 10.10.5 Combo Update. After reboot I have installed some kexts, Basic Boot Options, Chimera bootloader, SMBIOS into my Yosemite SSD. FYI, Full Graphics and native resolution along with Graphics Chipset detected was present at the first boot. I didn't have to add any kexts. Boot time has reduced. I have full Graphics, native resolution, App store access. The only thing I want to work is HDMI. No HDMI output, I have tried my AOC monitor and Sony Bravia TV. Not working. Before I play around with tools, I wanted an expert opinion on what should I try. Graphics chip is NVIDIA GeForce 410M 512 MB. I have tried booting with GraphicsEnabler=Yes/No . No change. Should I try Nvidia Web Driver? And what is EDID Injection? Is it necessary for HDMI to work?

    Trouble Installing AMD Kernel

Hello, so since the last time I posted I've had a bit of luck and happened to find an old iMac in the dumpster at my job. I took it home, repaired it and now I have a legitimate means of getting a fresh copy of OS X! With that in mind, I've ditched the Niresh distro because no matter how many different things I tried I could NEVER get my graphics card to work properly. So I'm back at it trying to make a clean installer with the bare minimum to get me through, so far it's been going pretty good except one thing...the kernel. I honestly don't know where or how to install it onto the boot drive. I've looked around on these forums, on other forums(including Reddit >.>), etc. and I can't seem to find the answer that I'm looking for. My first attempt I just dragged/dropped into the USB drive after installing Clover, that obviously didn't work. I also renamed it to "mach_kernel" which didn't do anything either, lastly I tried installing it in a few places that I thought might be more likely such as the EFI drive. Am I missing something? Overthinking it? I'm at a loss. I'll break down my steps for creating the installer, hopefully someone can help me push through to the next step. ---------------------------------------------------------- My Specs: AMD FX 8350 Asus M5A97 R2.0 Motherboard MSI R9 290 Twin Frozr 4X4GB AMD R9 Gaming RAM @ 2133Mhz Corsair 850W Gold Cert. PSU Installing on a 2.5" spare laptop drive ----------------------------------------------------------- Here's my method of creating the installer: Step 1: Download the Install OS X Yosemite.app installer Step 2: Run Terminal, type in this command: "sudo /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ El\ Capitan.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/Untitled --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ El\ Capitan.app --nointeraction" Step 3: Once it finishes installing, I restart the iMac to complete any necessary changes Step 4: Open and install the latest revision of Clover to the drive Step 5: Restart the iMac again Step 6: Place FakeSMC and NullCPUPowerManagement kexts into the 10.10 folder inside the USB installer Step 7: Place the AMD kernel for 10.10.5 in the USB installer Step 8: Create a config.plist file with Clover configurator on the iMac to match what I've needed to boot previously and place inside the EFI partition of the USB installer Step 9: Remove the drive, attempt install on PC. ----------------------------------------------------------- Some additional notes: - The kernel I'm using is an AMD 10.10.5 kernel by Deepak, not sure if the OS X version I have is 10.10.5 since it won't tell me in the App Store when I load it, not sure if this is an issue or not - The kexts were also provided by Deepak on his website on getting El Capitan to work - I have installed Clover for UEFI boot, which my system is perfectly capable of, however I'm wondering if it might be a part of the problem - When I actually boot the USB drive, it starts up for several seconds in verbose mode and then powers down my computer completely, restoring power a couple of seconds later. I've been at this since April trying to get a working install of Mavericks and Yosemite, both unsuccessfully, so thanks in advance for any and all help, it's definitely appreciated!
  16. Was anyone able to make the Radeon HD 5750 (0x68be1002) work with Yosemite 10.10.5? I did everything stated for 10.10.3 but with no success. I guess it's because I'm on 10.10.5? Help!

Further details So I have 2 * Samsung 850 Pro SSD's. Both with OSX 10.10.5 installed. One is installed with Chameleon and works just fine. I however wanted to use Clover for the iMessage fix. I installed it and everything works fine except the graphics driver. Both installations have the same nVidia webdriver installed (346.02.03f01). Initially the problem also occured when I first installed OSX via Chameleon, but I fixed it with using nv_drv=1 in boot options. I no longer know what to do. 18. Hello! (sorry for my bad english) Finally I made my hackintosh boot and work good using Clover (UEFI). I followed different guides to do it, but now I'm unsure if I did everything well. 19. I have my system completely setup with Clover 3259, Yosemite 10.10.5 and completed the entirety of the iMessage guide. My injected ROM values are correct and do not change. My hardware specs: • Asus Maximus VI Gene • Intel 4670K, not overclocked • Asus GTX 670 2GB • Apple BCM94360CD iCloud works no problem and all my data syncs to my iPhone 6. Perfect! iMessage allows me to sign in and it recognizes my phone number. However, I'm not able to send messages and all contacts appear in red. If I turn on Text Message Forwarding, it's still not perfect. Contacts only appear in green and any message people send to me do not receive on my computer, just my iPhone. Handoff works fine if I transfer from my iPhone to my computer, but not the other way around. For instance, if I start an email on my computer, the icons for Handoff don't even show up on my iPhone. I've verified that all my devices appear under my iCloud/AppleID account on the website. There are no duplicate devices listed anywhere. The WiFi/BT card appears to work perfectly, never dropping signal to the internet. Bluetooth connectivity works perfectly with my PlayStation 4 controller. Things I've already tried to fix this behaviour: • Removing the plist and cache files from my ~/Library folders • Completely signing out and back in to my iCloud and iMessage accounts on my iPhone and computer • Turning Handoff, Text Message Forwarding, and Bluetooth Sharing off and on again I'm beginning to think that this is an iMessage server authentication issue than anything else, strictly affecting my computer. But I'd rather not call Apple about it until I've exhausted my other options.
  20. Salve a tutti! Files.zip
