    New nViidia Pascal GT 1030

I start brief topic about the new nViidia Pascal GT 1030 This new GPU nVidia GT1030 will come to position itself in front of the recent Radeon RX 550. Seems to be a good middle entry level GPU More effeicient than GT710. It's similary with the GT1050 but a little less faster. The interest is the low size and the low power particlarly with the fanless version. It provides an installation on itx or thin mini itx cases. With the new nVidia drivers for High Sierra we should expect il will work OOB and provide respectable performance for curent usage. They are some reviews about and we wait for a return of experience on your favorite hackintosh build . Some reviews : http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/nvidia-geforce-gt-1030-2gb,5110.html http://www.hardware.fr/news/15117/nvidia-lance-geforce-gt-1030.html http://www.tomshardware.fr/articles/test-gt-1030-nvidia-gigabyte,1-64661.html "Roughly, the GP108 is a half GP107 with 3 SM (384 calculation units) and a 64-bit memory bus. The GT 1030 has the same power as the RX 550 but benefits from a more efficient architecture. On the other hand, its bandwidth is much lower since it must be satisfied with a bus of 64-bit." 2. Greetings all, i just finished my installation of OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.4 using this fantastic guide. Had a couple of hick ups forcing me to do most part in Safe Mode (-x), but I managed to boot from the HD onto the desktop. Eventually got my Realtek card set up and went on like a fool to download the latest graphics card drivers. I installed the drivers by running the package (can´t remember the exact name - it was something along the lines of macbookpro bla bla .pkg), which I know realize was insanely stupid. Before this (having removed most .kext files related to drivers) I could boot into desktop using -v dart=0. Now however, I can't get into the desktop at all, having tried various combinations of commands. All I keep getting now is the following: https://www.dropbox.com/s/owdx1efkviojneb/2013-07-02%2000.16.14.jpg 1) How do I solve this? I'm guessing I have to remove the drivers from the system by using the terminal in the OS X installer (via USB) 2) How would I go on about installing my drivers properly? System specifications Intel Core i7-3770 Kingston DDR3 HyperXblu 1600Mhz 16GB MSI Z77A-G43 Asus GeForce 680GT

  4. So I spent a couple hours last night upgrading from Yosemite 10.10 GM3 to the official MAS release, and everything went fairly smoothly. After updating, I installed the new nVidia Web Driver, which actually broke my UEFI Clover boot for some reason (would cause an OSXAptioFixDrv error at startup), so I got in via legacy boot and uninstalled the driver, and all was fine. Got some work done last night and went to bed like usual. Well, I woke up this morning to my machine having been restarted for some reason. The logs show this: Wed Oct 22 01:30:57 2014 *** Panic Report *** panic(cpu 0 caller 0xffffff800041e80a): Kernel trap at 0xffffff7f811a053b, type 14=page fault, registers: CR0: 0x000000008001003b, CR2: 0x0000000000000000, CR3: 0x0000000008e2d000, CR4: 0x00000000000626e0 RAX: 0xffffff801de54800, RBX: 0x0000000000000000, RCX: 0x0000000000000000, RDX: 0x0000000000000001 RSP: 0xffffff817ee1b450, RBP: 0xffffff817ee1b470, RSI: 0xffffff8020e5b008, RDI: 0x0000000000000000 R8: 0xffffff8020f5b000, R9: 0x0000000000000000, R10: 0xffffff813d0781e8, R11: 0x0000054cebb716f3 R12: 0xffffff813cd84008, R13: 0xffffff8020e7a008, R14: 0x0000000000000000, R15: 0xffffff8020f5b000 RFL: 0x0000000000010202, RIP: 0xffffff7f811a053b, CS: 0x0000000000000008, SS: 0x0000000000000010 Fault CR2: 0x0000000000000000, Error code: 0x0000000000000000, Fault CPU: 0x0 Backtrace (CPU 0), Frame : Return Address 0xffffff817ee1b100 : 0xffffff800033a811 0xffffff817ee1b180 : 0xffffff800041e80a 0xffffff817ee1b340 : 0xffffff800043a443 0xffffff817ee1b360 : 0xffffff7f811a053b 0xffffff817ee1b470 : 0xffffff7f812d1f4c 0xffffff817ee1b4b0 : 0xffffff7f812d18df 0xffffff817ee1b4e0 : 0xffffff7f8147af36 0xffffff817ee1b520 : 0xffffff7f81470bc0 0xffffff817ee1b580 : 0xffffff7f812b1993 0xffffff817ee1b5f0 : 0xffffff7f814c6fb3 0xffffff817ee1b630 : 0xffffff7f814c6e74 0xffffff817ee1b650 : 0xffffff7f811ec2fa 0xffffff817ee1b6d0 : 0xffffff7f811ef5c5 0xffffff817ee1b8d0 : 0xffffff7f811f0d64 0xffffff817ee1b9b0 : 0xffffff7f81391c08 0xffffff817ee1ba60 : 0xffffff7f81385e63 0xffffff817ee1bc30 : 0xffffff7f8119c78b 0xffffff817ee1bcc0 : 0xffffff7f81185fc4 0xffffff817ee1bd40 : 0xffffff7f81188c8f 0xffffff817ee1bdb0 : 0xffffff7f811889aa 0xffffff817ee1be20 : 0xffffff7f8114d71a 0xffffff817ee1be60 : 0xffffff7f8114cb50 0xffffff817ee1be90 : 0xffffff7f81148d33 0xffffff817ee1bef0 : 0xffffff80008d7162 0xffffff817ee1bf40 : 0xffffff80008d507d 0xffffff817ee1bf80 : 0xffffff80008d5146 0xffffff817ee1bfb0 : 0xffffff80004192c7 Kernel Extensions in backtrace: com.apple.iokit.IOGraphicsFamily(2.4.1)[6D99A3BE-D531-3780-880B-13F2FC894A4A]@0xffffff7f8113d000->0xffffff7f81183fff dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOPCIFamily(2.9)[766FC23F-452C-3B74-951C-598BB17BCF06]@0xffffff7f80b24000 com.apple.iokit.IONDRVSupport(2.4.1)[F4738C55-B507-3627-A9CA-3D29A5230A03]@0xffffff7f81184000->0xffffff7f81193fff dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOGraphicsFamily(2.4.1)[6D99A3BE-D531-3780-880B-13F2FC894A4A]@0xffffff7f8113d000 dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOPCIFamily(2.9)[766FC23F-452C-3B74-951C-598BB17BCF06]@0xffffff7f80b24000 com.apple.nvidia.driver.NVDAResman(10.0)[53CC0E05-7382-336C-8239-AE884D6CA71A]@0xffffff7f8119a000->0xffffff7f8141afff dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOPCIFamily(2.9)[766FC23F-452C-3B74-951C-598BB17BCF06]@0xffffff7f80b24000 dependency: com.apple.iokit.IONDRVSupport(2.4.1)[F4738C55-B507-3627-A9CA-3D29A5230A03]@0xffffff7f81184000 dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOGraphicsFamily(2.4.1)[6D99A3BE-D531-3780-880B-13F2FC894A4A]@0xffffff7f8113d000 dependency: com.apple.AppleGraphicsDeviceControl(3.7.21)[4700601D-3FEB-3B86-B2BA-8D71AF84D1C4]@0xffffff7f81194000 com.apple.nvidia.driver.NVDAGK100Hal(10.0)[DC43029D-568A-3B7C-976B-E922C17F5143]@0xffffff7f8141b000->0xffffff7f815dcfff dependency: com.apple.nvidia.driver.NVDAResman(10.0.0)[53CC0E05-7382-336C-8239-AE884D6CA71A]@0xffffff7f8119a000 dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOPCIFamily(2.9)[766FC23F-452C-3B74-951C-598BB17BCF06]@0xffffff7f80b24000 …which looks like a kernel panic related to the default OSX nVidia graphics drivers. I was obviously in bed when this happened, so I don't really know the circumstances relating to the panic, but it's obviously cause for concern. I will update this post if it happens again, I'm just curious if anyone else has had any nVidia-related issues since updating to the MAS official release of Yosemite…? 5. for use with the Apple 27" LED Cinema Display (A1316 MC007LL/A) 2560 x 1440 which only has ONE cable with a mini DisplayPort plug, in now Mountain Lion and later Mavericks. $250 for Apple's ATI Radeon HD 5770 Graphics Upgrade Kit for Mac Pro MC742ZMA is too much for me. Usage: heavy Adobe graphics/ video mix (Photoshop/ InDesign/ Illustrator/ Premiere/ Dreamweaver), all open at the same time .. Final Cut Pro will follow later. Apart from that, here's what the card also needs to be able to deliver in 10.8.5 (and best 10.9): dual-monitor: connect a 2nd one via DVI or HDMI live resolution switching on both monitors w/o black or blue screens fully working wake from monitor sleep AND wake from MacOS sleep on BOTH monitors w/o black or blue screens cooling fan(s) not too loud if possible Sharing of best your personal experience or otherwise links or pointers would be very welcomed Thank you, Bugs

PD: alguna guia de como actualizar a 10.7.5? he leido que es sin problemas pero tengo miedo gracias de antemano
  9. Hello, I am very well aware of the openCL bug with graphics power management on nVidia cards. (the one where the clock would be stuck and the temp will run hot). I am also aware that the nVidia web drivers they have released have fixed the problem. I have recently updated to 10.9.4, and have updated the web drivers and cuda drivers as well, however now I get kernel panics on shutdown and reboot relating to those graphics kexts. These panics never happened on 10.9 - 10.9.3. It will panic and reset my CMOS every time i attempt to shut down my computer. With the original OSX kexts it shuts down normally, however the clock will get stuck when opening preview or other apps. I was wondering if this is an isolated incident, or if the web drivers are broken for everyone on 10.9.4? Is there a way to prevent this panic? I strongly prefer using the web drivers as they provide a noticeable increase in performance on my system. I am using an nVidia Geforce GT 640
  10. Hi all. I own a laptop (ASUS N56VZ) very well hackintoshed. Pretty much everything works, except the external video ports (HDMI,VGA). Here are some specs : Intel i7 3630Q, Chipset HM67, nVidia GT650M, Intel HD4000 Unfortunately with OSX Mavericks, VGA can't be used anymore on HD4000, and I need to use an external monitor for work. The HDMI port is dedicated to the nVidia card, so the only way to have it was to disable the Integrated Graphics and use only Nvidia. Of course the system uses nVidia optimus engine for the switching mechanism, but I found a way to disable it via BIOS and use discrete graphics only (since I use it as a desktop replacement) It works very well on windows (HDMI only) of course but not on OSX unfortunately!! nVidia GT 650m appears to be loading ok (kext loaded and registered), but that's all! it does not go on. The weird thing is that I can't even boot into safe mode (-x) unless I delete nvidia drivers. Is there anybody who can help me? Here's what I did : -I tried both Clover and Chameleon, InjectNvidia on/off GraphicsEnabler on/off. -Installed 10.9 nVidia drivers over 10.9.2 -booted with and without my DSDT If you need any other kind of info to help me out just ask!! Thanks in advance!
  11. A friend of mine bought GeForce 7300GS 128MB PCI-e. We have tried installing on SC430. Since SC430 designed as Server. His onboard video is 16MB no 3D. Nice working but not fancy at all. We use him as server and Desktop Mac part time. However 20" monitor connected sharing with another DELL. All method was just followed as yesterday. It works fine with 3 times rebooting. Finally mouse cursor appeared. Just reboot a few times nothing difficulty. So if you do follow method I tried and having something wrong, just try rebooting several times until system seems fine. System hungs, blackout screen and never come back should be different problem. SC430 has no 16x PCI-e but 8x and 4x. 8x slot is not compatible with video card. To make 16x card fit into 4x I need to cut the edge of slot. I used ROTOZIP as seen on TV product. It helped me to shave slot edge. So 16x card in 4x, performance seems approx 25-30% slow. It works on 1600x1200x32 QE/CI/OpenGL. Just 40bucks used nVidia turns non-fancy PC to average desktop Mac.

    nVidia GeForce 210 1gb DDR3

Hello, I am running 10.7 on g41m-es2l I bought a nVidia GeForce 210 1gb DDR3 to replace a nVidia Geforce 7300 256 because the 7300 wasnt playing youtube and wouldnt work with Q/E. This new card is a f**king problem, too. I read on wiki HCL list that my exact card should work with graphicsenabler=no and the efistring. Right now my graphicsenabler is =yes. How do I edit the goddamn .plist?? everytime I try to change =yes to =no and paste the custom efi string it gives me some {censored} that I dont have permission and makes a .txt file. WTF. When i find the .plist in spotlight its locked. I looked on the forums for like 2 hours trying to figure out how to F**king fix this sh*t and I havent had any success. Can SOMEONE please tell me how to edit the org.chameleon.boot.plist??? this is so frustrating

Boot.plist est le suivant : <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Boot Banner</key> <string>No</string> <key>Default Partition</key> <string>hd(0,2)</string> <key>EthernetBuiltIn</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>GenerateCStates</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>GeneratePStates</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>HDAEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>HDEFLayoutID</key> <string>7</string> <key>Hide Partition</key> <string>hd(0,3) hd(1,2)</string> <key>Kernel</key> <string>mach_kernel</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>nvda_drv=1</string> <key>KeyLayout</key> <string>pc-fr</string> <key>Legacy Logo</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Rescan</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>SMBIOS</key> <string>/Extra/SMBios.plist</string> <key>SystemType</key> <string>1</string> <key>Timeout</key> <string>5</string> <key>USBBusFix</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>device-properties</key> <string>4b00000001000000010000003f0000000100000002010c00d041030a0000000001010600011c0101060000007fff0400160000006200750069006c0074002d0069006e0000000500000001</string>
  15. Okay, my basic problem is that, despite VERY good OpenGL and OpenCL benchmark results with my graphics card, I'm facing choppy native Mac OS X animations. Example: The genie effect is choppy, maximizing iTunes, Quicktime, VLC. I've done the following with my rig so far: DSDT edits for my card (attached), including HDMI audio patches. Combo OpenCL enabler for 10.7.2/10.7.3, which injects device ids + netkas's OpenCL patch. Edit AGPM.kext (this may be what's the issue here, I'll try tweaking and report back), I'd rater not delete this. AGPM edits: <key>iMac12,1</key> <dict> <key>LogControl</key> <integer>0</integer> <key>Vendor10deDevice1244</key> <dict> <key>BoostPState</key> <array> <integer>0</integer> <integer>1</integer> <integer>2</integer> <integer>3</integer> </array> <key>BoostTime</key> <array> <integer>3</integer> <integer>3</integer> <integer>3</integer> <integer>3</integer> </array> <key>Heuristic</key> <dict> <key>ID</key> <integer>0</integer> <key>IdleInterval</key> <integer>100</integer> <key>TargetCount</key> <integer>5</integer> <key>Threshold_High</key> <array> <integer>0</integer> <integer>23</integer> <integer>70</integer> <integer>100</integer> </array> <key>Threshold_Low</key> <array> <integer>13</integer> <integer>40</integer> <integer>83</integer> <integer>98</integer> </array> </dict> <key>control-id</key> <integer>17</integer> </dict> </dict> Update: Deleting AGPM.kext doesn't solve the issue. dsdt.dsl.zip

  17. Powerful budget Hackintosh for the living room Components used: MSI B250I Pro Mini-ITX Pentium G4600 Arctic Freezer 33 semi passive CPU cooler ASUS Geforce GT1030 8 GB GSkill DDR4-2133 RAM Samsung 256GB PCIe SSD GMYLE Bluetooth USB Silverstone ITX Case PICO Mini ATX 120W My plan was to build a Hackintosh with the best price-performance-ratio to be used as media player in the living room hooked to the TV. For that use it should be silent, fanless at best. So I decided to go for the Pentium G4600 which offers nearly the same performance as the I3-7100 for a much lower price and the MSI B250I Pro Mini ITX board, the cheapest one with M.2 slots for PCIe and Wifi. The Arctic Freezer 33 is my favourite choice as CPU cooler and I’m using it for all my builds. The fan literally never spins up during usual daily usage. For graphics card the fanless GT1030 is the obvious choice as it delivers the best performance with the lowest possible power consumption. Speaking of power: As the Arctic Freezer is too huge for a standard ATX power supply to fit in an ITX case I go for a PICO Mini ATX adapter that allows up to 120 watts on 16 volts, so a common laptop power supply can be used and of course it runs noiseless as wished. Everything works like a real mac, there are no power management, sleep or wake issues. You can even use your Bluetooth keyboard or mouse to wake it and it will sleep well again. It is not necessary to disable USB power via DSDT. For this build I don’t even bother to compile one. This hasn’t happened for years J Of course the installation needs preparation because the Pentium CPU isn’t supported out of the box. You need to configure your UEFI right and get your config.plist for Clover in order before you can start, otherwise macOS will simply kernel panic. Telling it the other way: there is no post installation action required And for those who are planning to use the Intel HD630 instead of a dedicated graphics card: You can’t. It sounds promising at first to have a macOS supported Intel HD on this chip but it seems as if Intel has just branded it this way and in reality using a different architecture. The best you can achieve is to get into desktop by spoofing a Skylake ID but you won’t get hardware acceleration this way. *For this guide I assume that you already know how to prepare a macOS install drive, how to install Clover bootloader and configure it, mounting your EFI partition and so on. You know: the basic skills. If you don’t you’ll find beginners guides for these tasks on the forum.* *CREDITS: Go to all people involved in the hackintosh community. For this guide I searched and tested for days, finding all the bits needed to complete the installation. If you think one or two of the presented solutions here is based on one of your own unique ideas please feel free to tell me and I will add your name here at once of course. Other cards may work with AppleALC (tested with GT710 and DVI audio works). Nvidia webdrivers Issues Don’t use the designated webdrivers for 10.13.3! They give you extremely poor OpenCL performance what leads to choppy video playback. Instead use NVDAWebPatcher to patch the webdrivers for 10.13.2 and install them instead. I’m not kidding the 10.13.3 drivers are unusable, this step is mandatory.
  18. Sup guys, I've been having a hard time trying to enable QE/CI on my laptop, No matter what I do it always stays at 64MB shared memory. System Specs Asus S550CM Intel i5 3317u 1.7 Quadcore 8 Gig Ram 1TB HDD 24 Gig SSD (this is where my MacOS is installed) IntelHD400 and nVidia GeForce 635M combo I'm aware that my nVidia is not compatible Basically I've tried using clover and chameleon, both using a different USB to boot from. Clover: I used clover and clover Configurator to EnableIntel and InjectEDID -> didn't not work, only got me to full resolution People told that I might have to change my IntelCapriFB value thing so I did. I've tried from 0-11 and no luck. Chameleon I'm using chameleon and have used Enoch but no luck, is there more than just editing this number? Am I missing a string? I've tried using this link but I'm not sure if I'm doing it correctly. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/291614-intel-hd4000-and-haswell-inject-aaplig-platform-id/ My current SMBios is Mac Mini 6,1 the Intel says no kext loaded and the revision ID is 0x0009 Should I be editing the kext or something? I've read that somewhere but can't find the source <key>EnableC2State</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>EthernetBuiltIn</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Graphics Mode</key> <string>1366x768x32</string> <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>IGPEnabler</key> <string>y</string> <key>IntelCapriFB</key> <string>2</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>npci=0x2000</string> <key>PciRoot</key> <string>1</string> <key>SkipNvidiaGfx</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Timeout</key> <string>2</string>

    Custom Desktop Help

I need some help getting Yosemite installed on my desktop. I built this desktop a few weeks ago and did not think to look on these forums before buying my parts. The last time I did a hackintosh was several years ago on a Dell Mini 10v. I have no clue where to start and what the whole process would be, if someone could point me to all the right places, that would be wonderful. I already have a Yosemite .iso ready. I do not have direct access to a mac, but if I need to I'm sure I have a friend that will let me use theirs. My specs: Motherboard: MSI X99S Gaming 7 CPU: Intel i7-5930K CPU Cooler: Corsair H110i GT RAM: Corsair Vengence LP 32GB (4x8GB) GPUs: 2x nVidia GTX 980 Ti SSD: 240GB Corsair Neutron XT HDDs: Seagate 7200RPM I appreciate any and all help. Please do not say "Should have gotten part x instead of part y" or something along those lines, I had my budget and I bought the parts that I wanted. That is what matters most.

    Very Aliased Icons and fonts

Hello guys, I currently have an Asus nVidia 1GB EN210 Silent. I am running Mountain Lion 10.8.5 on Dell Precision T7400. I got the card working via the EFI inject method, and during boot in verbose mode I see 'NVDANV50Hal.kext loaded and registered. I used to run Lion with a Quadro FX1700 on the same machine and the image was crisp, but no real acceleration Before I did the EFI inject there was no GPU acceleration, but the icons (e.g. dock icons, wifi and volume icons) and fonts everywhere (software, top bar) and the colours were crisp and correct. However, after the EFI inject, everything I just said is in a über poor quality. By that I mean I can hardly recognise dark icons in the dock, and everything is VERY aliased. I have toggled with screen resolution settings, performed "defaults -currentHost write -globalDomain AppleFontSmoothing -int X", toggled with the font-smoothing option in system preference and ran the colour calibration in system preference, all to no avail. Can anyone help me out here?
  21. for use with the Apple 27" LED Cinema Display (A1316 MC007LL/A) 2560 x 1440 which only has ONE cable with a mini DisplayPort plug, in now Mountain Lion and later Mavericks. Apart from that, here's what the card also needs to be able to deliver in 10.8.5 (and best 10.9): dual-monitor: connect a 2nd one via DVI or HDMI live resolution switching on both monitors w/o black or blue screens fully working wake from monitor sleep AND wake from MacOS sleep on BOTH monitors w/o black or blue screens ATY framebuffer negotiated correctly between the card and OS X cooling fan(s) not too loud if possible Sharing of best your personal experience or otherwise links or pointers would be very welcomed Thank you, Bugs

    [Aiuto]Ottimizzazione nVidia GTX275

    AMD with ASUS Mobo

Hy guys, please forgive me if I post in the wrong place, first time here. I finally got the time to try out Mavericks, I wanted to give it a shot since forever. My system is: AMD Phenom II X6 64 1100T ASUS M4A88T-V EVO/USB3 with AMD 880G/SB710 chipset ASUS nVidia GeForce GTX 550 Ti video card I managed to install Niresh Mavericks with the amd64 boot flag. After restart I get the "Still waiting for root device" problem. I re-installed numerous times with different settings for the SATA, including the still waiting fix that was included in the installer, tried all the boot flags I could find, but still no luck. I understood that I need a driver (kext) for my southbridge/sata driver, but did not manage to find anything by simply google-ing. What else can I do? Where else can I find solutions? Or what other method should I search? I think someone from here knows this hardware setup and can help me. Thank you in advance!
  24. Hello. Recently I bought a GTX 570 to my Mac Pro 4.1 to have some CUDA support in Resolve and CS6. I did the trick using the nVidia drivers from their own website (card + CUDA) and ran a small terminal-code to provide even OpenCL support to this card. But performance was way far of worse in FCPX and Motion. So I downloaded the preview of 10.7.5 and 10.8 and installed it. Way better performance (there share the same driver package) but no OpenCL support. The old tricks obviously don't work in this release. So is there anybody succeded this procedure? Thank you
