1. Specs:- CPU: 9700k MOBO: MSI Z390 Gaming Pro Carbon AC GPU: Sapphire 5700XT Nitro The problem I am facing is with the way RGB is behaving in MacOS. I have couple of fans connected to the ARGB and RGB headers on my motherboard and the motherboard it self has some lights. The problem is that when I boot into MacOS the RGB freezes completely and doesn't recover even after rebooting into windows or shutting down the machine. I have to completely disconnect power and wait for 10-15 secs for the RGB to reset. At first I thought that it's a USB issue as there's an internal USB device present called 'Mystic Light' so I mapped it in the SSDT but that didn't fix the problem. Then I put in the limit patch and removed USB map to inject all ports that didn't fix the problem either. I also set up proper 'EC' device and still nothing. I have tried just about everything I could I even tried purposefully breaking nvram support then setting up RGB in windows and then booting back into MacOS. I am completely out of ideas and would be grateful if someone more knowledgeable than me would like to have a look. I had initially set up the machine with OpenCore but then I switched to Clover thinking OC might be the issue so I will attach both OC and Clover configuration. They are WIP as I am stuck on fixing this problem before jumping on other things. Clover.zip OC.zip
2. Hi, my name is Javier, i'm trying to install a Mojave Clean Installation, following the guide but allways is stopped with "alloc type 2". I've been searching the forums for 4 days, I've tried everything they say, but I can't fix the error. I'm trying to add the driver "OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi", "OsxAptioFixDrv-64.efi" and "OsxAptioFix3Drv.efi" but don't work... My current hardware is:Motherboard: MSI X299 GAMING PRO CARBON AC, bios.v-E7A95IMS.180CPU: Intel core i7-7820XHardDrive: Samsung 960EVO NVMe M.2 500GbGPU: SAPPHIRE Radeon RX Vega64 8GB HBM2RAM: 32Gb - x4 8Gb - Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR4 3600Please can anybody help me? 3. Hey everyone, after years I come back to Hackintosh. In the early days I played with ozmosis and my good old 4700k. Now I'm back and worked around a 100% working setup with enough power to get me through all my tasks like audio, video cut etc. In this short tutorial I will guide you through BIOS Settings and give you access to my EFI Folder. This I do because I haven't found anything on the web for my setup. Maybe it will help some of you. When you follow the steps you will have a perfect running Hackintosh like I do have now I've chosen the iMac 18,3 because of the easy integration of both Graphic Units and the support of HEVC. Specs: CPU: Intel i7 9700k (Overclocked in Bios to 4,7 GHz) SMBIOS: iMac18,3 (Because of Dedicated Graphics and HEVC Intel Support) RAM: 32GB G.Skill Trident Z RGB DDR4-3200 DIMM CL16 (XMP Profile to 3200MHz) Motherboard: MSI MPG Z390 GAMING PRO CARBON (MS-7b17) <- It's the model without WLAN/Bluetooth Graphic Card: Sapphire RX580 Nitro+ Bluetooth & WLAN: Broadcom Card in PCI Adapter What is working: Almost everything! All USB Ports, Intel Power Management, Bluetooth, WLAN, LAN, Intel Graphics HEVC, Boot/Reboot, Sleep What is not working: Facetime & iMessage (Don't need it but I will come back to this) Steps: 1. Create Mojave 10.14.5 USB Drive | https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9CZDXxKfodE&t=95s | Us this tutorial or search the forum 2. Load my EFI Folder: https://workupload.com/file/zkJ4zdQk 3. Go into your bios and use my settings in the Screenshot I attached 4. Boot from USB Stick | Install Mojave | Boot into Mojave (Check other Tutorials if you don't know how) 5. Generate Serials with Clover Configurator 6. Happy Hackintosh Life! 4. Hi. I apologize in advance if I didn't post in the right category and if my title and description aren't specific enough :c My config in a nutshell: CPU: i7 5820k GPU: MSI GTX 1060 3GB RAM: 16 GB MOBO: MSI X99 SLI PLUS I attached RunMe output with all the details of my built. Some background: I have my Hackintosh for about half a year. That time I managed to make it works and fix major issues, but some of them left unresolved since then and I ignored them until now. I use my Hackintosh for Adobe projects (PR, AE, PS, IL, AU and a lot more) - most of them connected with video editing of course browsing with Chrome and other small tasks. Problems: Random restarts - this is the biggest one. I'm starting to work on bigger and bigger projects and at this time I think I can't allow this to happen that often. In the past, they happened like once a day or a couple of times a week. However, now it's just frustrating when it happens even 5 or more times a day. I've tried to observe and find out what can be the cause but I haven't managed to find any connections. I thought it happens when Premiere or another app is using GPU, but I haven't seen increased usage when it restarts. I think that it can be connected with GPU, memory or PSU or... meh, anything else. I don't have resources to check if it'll work with other components. There should be some fix for this. I will really appreciate any help with this :c Restart instead of shutdown & sleep doesn't work. I've tried to look through some Google results for this and tried many solutions (as you can see in attached Clover folder), but I think the right one for many of these issues is to make my own DSDT. Glitches, freezes and other things while encoding a video. It happens very often when I try to do this. Maybe it is an issue with GPU or (hopefully) only with GPU drivers which can be fixed with some patch. Today my headphones stopped working. I have a multi-output device configured in the Audio MIDI Setup app which includes my headphones (HyperX Cloud via USB) and Soundflowerbed virtual audio device for capturing system audio. Today while I was trying (like 15 times) to encode a video in Media Encoder in the background and watch video on YouTube I stopped hearing anything from my system. Of course, it restarted a couple of times as always, but even this didn't solve this. If I plug them directly with mini jack (not via USB Soundcard which was in the box and which I always used) in the front IO or the back I only hear some loud noise It takes EX-Fat formatted volumes a few minutes to mount after each restart. I found a workaround to format it with NTFS since I have Tuxera installed and I will reformat these volumes when I will find time for this, but maybe there is some fix for this. GPU is a little bit hot. HW Monitor shows it is only 45-55 degrees, but for my hand is a little bit hot, idk. Also related to GPU - glitch after POST but before entering Clover boot menu. It is a black screen with little white squared glitches for a few seconds. Maybe it indicates the GPU drivers are loading, but maybe it shouldn't be like this. And if I can ask about that - I can't make all applications hide on startup. I, obviously, have "Hide" checkbox checked on every login item in settings, but it doesn't work, none of the apps is hidden in the dock. Is there a way to fix this? Also a small but annoying problem - I can't turn off permanently Mojave update notification (since I tried to install it, and I had to reverse to High Sierra because I had a black screen and I didn't have time for repairing all of them. Tags are not working in Finder - every time I tag a file or folder and make a change in it (for example save a text file) the tag disappears. So, with knowing all of that, is there a way to make a proper DSDT file for my Hackintosh? I tried to look through some guides on how to make it but I think I reached my abilities to understand how Mac OS works and what all of these things are, so I'm asking you guys politely, would someone like to help me? At least with these random restarts? :/ I really begin to think that I'm a newbie in configuring all of that Clover things - even after what I managed to do with my PC. Help me, pleease... :c If you have any questions post it below, I will really appreciate any help <3 Send me MBP-Gorec.home.zip
5. Hi! I have a problem with 10.14.4 on booting stage (photo). My specs: MOBO: Z390 MAG Tomahawk CPU: i7-8700k GPU: RX 580 Nitro+ Wifi: BCM4331CD RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000MHz 16CL I've updated every kext and driver (clover version too) and only difference is that I don't have lines informing about not loading kexts (common issue here as I see).

7. Dear All, I followed the Olarila (MaLd0N's) guide and made the Mojave USB. I had to install the system using an invalid GPU FakeID (0x12345678) to get past the KP. Even after installation, my system going into KP if I don't use this invalid fakeid. With the FakeID, my system reports 7mb VRAM with Intel HD630. I am using the DSDT from my 10.13 installation. Used: Whatevergreen.kext Tried putting different FakeIDs Put the Whatevergreen and Lilu in /Library/Extensions Tried without Whatevergreen. The same setup used to work with 10.13. My Laptop details are in my signature. This is the link to the last time MaLd0N helped me get 10.13 working: https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/332021-msi-gv62-7re-1013-installation/ Please help anyone. Thanking you

MSI GV62 7RD

13. Sleep, USB 2.0 and USB 3.1 work after installation. USB3.0 needs post installation steps, although some ports are recognized. Audio also needs some post installation work. This is just a guide on how to install the OS. The post installation setup follows on a post below. Hardware: Motherboard: MSI X299 SLI Plus CPU: Intel i7 7820X RAM: 4x 8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 @ 3200MHz (32GB total, quad channel mode). Storage: Samsung EVO 960 M.2 250GB (for OS) Crucial MX300 1TB (for data) Network: WiFi TP-LINK Archer T9E AC1900 (PCI, supported by macOS) Bluetooth: Broadcom BCM20702 (USB, supported by macOS) Video: MSI GT 710 2GB (supported by macOS) Asus ROG Strix GTX1 070 8GB (needs NVIDIA Web Drivers) BIOS: I used version 140, the latest at the time. I am running version 150 now, with no differences. Disable "CFG Lock": Enter BIOS Load defaults (F6) Expert mode (F7) OC and then CPU Features (last item) Disable "CFG Lock". Save and reboot (F10) You have to disable CFG Lock, otherwise the kernel does not boot. The system restarts after "+++++" from Clover. In addition, I advise to disable legacy mode in the UEFI, to avoid booting in legacy mode and get confusing errors from Windows or Disk Utility. Clover installation on the USB: Install for UEFI booting only Install Clover in the ESP drivers64UEFI all selected (more on this below) all rest is off Clover drivers: When the Clover installation finishes, you have to manipulate a few efi drivers. Navigate to <USB ESP partition>/EFI/CLOVER Create a folder called drivers_disabled Move the following drivers from drivers64UEFI to drivers_disabled: OsxAptioFix2Drv-64.efi OsxLowMemFixDrv-64.efi You will have to add an extra driver from here: https://nickwoodhams.com/x99-hackintosh-osxaptiofixdrv-allocaterelocblock-error-update/ Download Test2-2016.efi and save it in drivers64UEFI. Without this fix, you'll have the memory allocation problems described in the link above. If you still get that problem, don't just reboot but really turn the computer off and then on between tries. I also had to install apfs.efi. Clover config.plist: I used Clover Configurator to load the default clover.plist and then: ACPI: disable everything. Boot: npci=0x2000. I also added -v. SMBIOS: iMac18,3 Any iMac18 should work (I tried with 18,1 and 18,3). I also tried with iMac14 and iMac17, and they gave me problems. For example, iMac17,1 could not initialize the graphic screen properly. Leave all the rest as default. Save. All these changes can also be done at the clover menu during boot. Note that I am not claiming this is the best configuration for a running machine. It is the simplest that allowed me to finished the installation and reboot successfully. I think it is possible to handle the efi Clover drivers installation using Clover Configurator, but I have never done that. Kexts: FakeSMC.kext. I used the one from Rehabman, but I think the official one will work as well. VoodooTSCSync.kext. This is mandatory, otherwise the system does not boot properly. It needs to be configured as follows: open VoodooTSCSync.kext/Contents/Info.plist and change the line under <key>IOCPUNumber</key> to: <integer>15</integer> This is the number of threads of your CPU minus 1. Place both kexts in EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other. Video: I used the MSI GT 710 for installation and all post-installation steps. The 1070 only works with NVIDIA's Web drivers. Don't use it during installation. Check the post-installation post below to make it work. And this is it. Installation should work without a problem. Remember to use always the USB during the several installation reboots. I did not activate iCloud and my Apple account during installation. I wanted to generate a real fake machine UUID and serial number, so that I can use all the Apple services. This was done after installation, while booting from disk. What needs to be done during post-installation: Fix USB3. Fix audio. CPU ID recognition, although this might be fixed by Apple on a new iteration of the OS. Confirm that the CPU is working properly with all cores and different power states. Install NVIDI's Web Drivers for the Asus GTX 1070.

15. Hi! I've been out of the hackintosh desktop scene for a long time and but I'm back! I would need some help with patching my DSDT as I'm out of the loop where I can find the patches and what patches to use
16. A friend of mine called me for support in this project, so I put some effort to help him getting it work and wanted to write a few lines to explain how we reach this, knowing that still it's not 100%. Eventual advices will be greatly appreciated. With this particular hardware making it work was a little bit different than from guides I read. Bios settings: CFG-Lock: Disabled VT-d Tech: disabled Windows 8/8.1: enabled Boot mode: UEFI Check IGT instead of PEG to disable integrated graphic in BIOS preferences as we want to use NVIDIA card even without acceleration. User tominabox1 succeed with i6700k while we have an i7700k: need to patch Clover 2.4k (https://sourceforge.net/projects/cloverefiboot/ ) with Clover Configurator. First prepare usb stick: I followed this: http://beyondspec.org/2017/01/04/the-foreigner-macos-sierra-10-12-2-on-an-alienware-13-r3-2016/ A little bit of tweaking was enough to make it boot: /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other/ApplePS2SmartTouchPad.kext is useless because it's the driver for a touchpad we don't have. Now on Clover Configurator: Graphics>ig-platform-id and set it as 0x19120000 (nVidia GTX 1060) Kernel and Kext Patching>FakeCPUID and set it as 0x0506e3 SMBIOS > set it up like an iMac 17,1 Disable SIP: you can find it at Rt Variables>CsrActiveConfig. Set it to 0x67 /EFI/CLOVER/drivers64UEFI/OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi is not needed as we used both OsxAptioFix2Drv.efi and OsxAptioFixDrv-64.efi : boot was inconsistent but we found it working disabling PowerNap (dart=0) and Nvidia web driver (nv_disable=1) at boot. If you're lucky you'll see something like this: Graphics are recognized but there's only 8 MB of RAM because driver still is not installed. Here's the content of Driver64UEFI AppleImageCodec-64.efi AppleKeyAggregator-64.efi AppleUITheme-64.efi CsmVideoDxe-64.efi DataHubDxe-64.efi EmuVariableUefi-64.efi FSInject-64.efi FirmwareVolume-64.efi HFSPlus.efi NTFS.efi OsxAptioFix2Drv-64.efi OsxAptioFixDrv-64.efi OsxFatBinaryDrv-64.efi SMCHelper-64.efi Attached you can find the usb-stick's UEFI and the final hard drive's one, working silently with apple boot logo mode on. You can copy this after downloading lately Nvidia web drivers; indeed, Pascal support is now official: check latest version WebDriver-378.05.05.15f01. Guide here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/to...ver-updates-for-macos-sierra-update-04192017/ CUDA too is requested for best results. AGDPfix-2.app is needed before rebooting: check out the 1.3 version that will fix graphic's kext. After installing you need to patch audio: https://www.hackintosh.zone/file/136-all-in-one-sound-solution/ will work on 90% cases. In this particular case we found Voodoo generic driver working. If volume is too low go to /S/L/E/VoodooHDA.kext and find the key VoodooHDAEnableHalfVolumeFix and change it from "true" to "false" We know it's still a mess but after a long time working on it this is by far the only 100% working version with Wifi, ethernet, audio and video. The only problem is during shutdown when it fails unmounting disks. These are comparison's results between Crapintosh (? definitely I wouldn't call this no more after testing it) and an official iMac 17,1 5k lately-2015 with i6700K and AMD Radeon R9 M390 2048 MB Blur test on Photoshop: We created on both computers a 600dpi 12x12 inches image (CMYK 8 bit: a 197.8 MB file) with a colored square on it and then Filter > Blur > Radial Blur, setting amount to 100, "zoom mode" and "best" checked. Official iMac 5k did it on 01:08:03 Hackintosh did it on 00:56:57 I know that is only my opinion, but Apple would better consider in making new hardware and not only phones: results are so impressive, even boot is fast! Hi guys I am currently facing some problems here I got a tower with: MSI Z170A SLI PLUS board G.Skill 32GB DDR4 Memory Intel i5 6500 Overclocked to 4.51GHz Gainward GTX 1060 6GB Here is the BIOS files I am using Windows are working extremely fine here, stable temperature, no thermal throttling Ubuntu also works after disabing c-state in grub using intel_idle.max_cstate=0 I cannot seems to get macOS 10.12 working with the overclocked chip, macOS works complete fine without overclock The symptoms are the same if I didn’t add the boot argument in Linux, no USB, No hard drive, no signal output from monitor, no nothing The question is: How do I disable C State complete while CLOVER executing the EFI file? seems it's a Darwin/Unix/Linux Kernel limitation. Thanks a lot Update: Solved, see post #10

20. HDMI + HDMI Sound works, but only 4k@30fps cause of HDMI version. Videocard IntelHD 5600 doesn't support HDMI 2.0 so i desided to use Displayport for 4k@60fps, but it just didn't work. So, there is no signal with 1080p monitor. It's a global problem with mdp on laptop. When I plug in the cable - system freeze for a moment, monitor offers to use displayport instead of hdmi (in monitor settings), but after a second - "no singal". I tried to use pixelclock patch, but no result. By the way there is no option in monitor settings to change pixelclock or displayport version. Also I tried this patch, but no results too. Also I tested this repo https://github.com/PMheart/CoreDisplayFixup. No success. Also I tried to attach DP port to the 0306 connector. Patch is working, but no success. All the conversations with RehabMan you can find on tomynac, but dead end there. I'm pretty sure that DP works by IntelHD (screenshot from Windows in attachments). On Windows displayport works properly 4k@60fps. Any ideas? Is it possible to make displayport work? 21. Hi all, since nvidia just released a pascal driver (and after loosing nearly 3 hours of my time making that damn driver work on my system) I only have one issue that still disturb me : The sound volume On windows if I turn my speakers to maximum, well this is really loud... that even neigbours could hear it ^^ On Hackintosh, when I turn my spearks to maximum it is like 10 times less loud... i would say it is like almost minimum sound on Windows. how can I fix this ? I did so many audio stuff that maybe I did something wrong. (not working at first, then wrong jack port...) It always was very weak sound, even when comming from other port... is there a trick, for example editing the VoodooHDA.kext's info.plist to boost the volume or to enable outpout gain ? I mean it is like there was no sound output gain ... like i said turning speaker's volume to maximum is not what I want. Because I don't want to make some hardware changes when I change OS ^^ Of course is something is needed like a clover config file or some information I'll try my best to give answers. Thanks in advance for your help.
22. Hi, yesterday i make a post to fix some errors on my dsdt (ok, this post was marked as solved) but i need help with sleep, i'm go crazy haha well, my sistem sleep well (or i think so... all shut down and power led blinking) when i tried to wake it it reset , like i shutdown and power on . i'm reading a lot os cases similarly and i think that the problem was in my USB 3.1 chipset (asmedia) that can't wake or sleep correctly. i think that this problem can solve with native support on all USB through dsdt but i don't know how can i make this. if someone has fixed this error please tell me how now i'm going to upload a copy of my EFI folder, ioreg, a output of pmset -g and dsdt (original and modified) in a zip file on mega. Thanks in advance DSDT and ioreg.zip link. https://mega.nz/#!VU0gBQID!82ptj6r0XEmA6a6IrhuEDttPIPBexassiZGcULymlY0

25. Hello, I have a splendid working machine with annoying hiccups... meaning, everything its working, and it is quite fast. Mostly I use it for video editing in Final Cut Pro X and After Effects. I carefully selected the mix in order to be optimized for FinalCut and Video editing and processing. I had a small hindsight about the XFX possible difficulties... but after sometime of trying different options, It is working (flashing bios method). I upgraded to EL CAPITAN about 2 months from now, and got wifi card enabled and working (before I was using ethernet cable mostly)... Everything goes well and smooth, and at times it hangs, and sometimes shut down, and stays in a reestarting loop (2 or 3 times loop max) and stays fine for some other time until it hangs again or freezes... and again same thing... I NEED HELP !!! I require a reliable, robust, and stable machine!... can any of you experts give me a hand on this! Thank you in advance...
