  9. Hi there, So I have my Windows computer, used a USB with Clover setup to boot into Mojave OS that I installed on the SD card in the computer. The world was a great place and all was well! Then I did the steps to partition the pc system to now include the additional drive that I would put Clover on. Here's where I messed up: Instead of directly copying over the full Clover folder into the EFI folder of the new drive (which just had the Boot & Microsoft folders in it), I replaced the EFI's boot folder with Clover's boot folder. So the EFI folder now contains a Microsoft folder, a Clover folder, and Clover's Boot folder only. Now, I only can access the Clover boot up menu, the macOS, but no Windows at all. Even if I go into BIOS and pick Windows Boot Manager or Partition 1 for the start up, I get a black screen for both. I can still access the macOS as well as Shell, but I don't know what that does other than displaying all of the yellow text fly by.. Is there a kind soul out there that can help me get Windows back to boot? Keep in mind I'm a bit of a newbie here so laying out the common-sense steps would be helpful! Thank you in advance!
  10. Hello everyone, I found a guide on how to install Catalina on Lenovo M920q, everything works well but the installation is freezing up. The USB bootable drive is a recovery one with internet based installation. The internet is working well on the pre-installation setup (I tested it, when you can use the utilities). The installation is freezing whether I am installing the macOS or not. I've attached my EFI partition so you can check if there's anything to add. Will realy appreciate any kind of help (quit noob to the whole thing). Thanks in advance and stay safe! NOTE: I did followed up the troubleshooting guide of OpenCore installation forum and the answer was to add the NullCPUPowerManagement.kext to the kexts and configure it on the .plist file. This is the original EFI folder: EFI.zip Thats the one with the NullCPUPowerManagement.kext added: EFI.zip
  11. This new case will be arriving for me tomorrow. It's the model M25-W White Version. It has an integrated 7.1 sound card. Which means the machine will effectively have 2 sound cards... Unfortunately I couldn't find any info on the card's model. Does anyone have experience with Hackintoshing on non-standard audio configurations like this?

  16. After hearing that OpenCore is so much better than Clover, and that it will probably be able to boot Big Sur before Clover does, I decided to take the jump. Running Catalina 10.15.5 18F101 with OC 0.5.9. So far I like the result. The OS feels faster, boots faster. And absolutely everything works (sleep, network, etc...) So, that's it? Is there anything else I have to do?

  22. Excuse for the long post. Just trying to be as clear as possible. Initially I used boot-camp for installing windows 10 alongside Mac OS. And while restart it would automatically boot me into Mac OS and whenever I needed to boot into windows, I used to hold option key while starting and that gave me option to boot into either windows or continue with Mac OS. After using it for a while, I decided to try out Ubuntu 20.04. So I partitioned my Mac OS Volume and installed Ubuntu manually. Even though I was successful, I realized that I could no longer boot into windows anymore. Auto boot was changed to Ubuntu and if I held option key during restart, I used to get option for booting into Mac (working) and Windows (this too was not working). Here is where I actually messed up. Today I decided to retain the unused Windows partition space and hence, booted into Mac OS and deleted the windows partition using boot-camp and did a restart. Now I'm unable to log into Mac OS. Auto boot is still set to Ubuntu and no option is shown when using option key. I can't do a complete reinstall due some important data in Mac partition and so wanted to know if there is any way to regain my Mac OS boot option without a complete restore? Currently Ubuntu is working fine. And a major issue is my internal wifi card is broken and Mac-book pro(early 2015 model) is not registering external wifi adapter or USB-to-ETHERNET cable. TL;DR: Initially installed Windows 10 using boot-camp in Mac-book pro. Decided to triple install Ubuntu. Succeeded but lost access to windows partition. So decided to free that space with boot-camp and now lost access to Mac OS. Is there any chance to recover the boot option for Mac OS without complete restore?

  24. macOS Catalina 10.15.6 beta (19G36e)
  25. Update: On October 24, 2020, using clover to solve the macOS11 beta10 boot problem, you can now enjoy macOS11beta10, and the compatibility of subsequent versions is not guaranteed. HIDPI uses a modified version. You can directly execute the hidpi script to get a better experience. If you lose the repair, it is not within the scope of my support. Support upgrades without destroying the integrity of the original image. There seems to be a problem with the shortcut keys. If you can help solve it, thank you for your contribution. Perhaps it was the first NEC (Lenovo) Lavie Z HZ550 to install hackintosh. I hope more people who like Lavie Z series can experience Hackintosh at HZ550. She is really great. I found HZ550 & HZ750 on the Chinese website, which is amazing. It weighs only 790g, 13.3 inches, and the standard 2k screen, which is too attractive to me. I am a Hackintosh enthusiast. I think HZ550 or HZ750 with MacOS is the best Unfortunately, the Lavie Z series is not listed in China, only exists in the Japanese and American markets, and in the Japanese market is the NEC brand, while the American market uses the Lenovo logo. Fortunately, I got an HZ550 from Taobao. Yes, not HZ750. In comparison, HZ750 has more touch screens and 360 ° flip. These are hard to attract me. More importantly, HZ750 is about 200g heavier than HZ550 That's why I chose HZ550. Well, because he is only 2,000 RMB. The specific introduction can refer to NEC Japan official website:http://nec-lavie.jp/products/hz13b/ The HZ550 hardware list I obtained: -/+:. ningnan@ningnandeMacBook-Air :++++. OS: 64bit Mac OS X 10.15.5 19F96 /+++/. Disadvantages: The sound is small, almost the same as the mosquitoes. Ok, bragging is over! In order to use the wireless network, I changed the wireless network card from inter 7265 to BCM94352ZAE. Some people called it DW1560. It is uncomfortable that in China, this card and his elder brother DW1830 were hyped to a high price of 480RMB. of. Fortunately, I bought it early, and this card is also very stable under win10, and there is no high delay and outage. The hard disk should be PM951 of Samsung, not PM981, which is lucky. Before installing Hackintosh: You need to prepare a 16G U disk, SanDisk is not a rough choice for making MacOS installation disk, I used the latest MacOS Catalina 10.15.5, got config.plist from Rehabman, and put together an EFI, the latest version of clover and kext drivers. Thanks to Rehabman and the developers of the Black Apple community. I do n’t like that OC team very much. Make an installation disk: If you have a computer running MacOS, you can use the command line to make it, if you do n’t have a computer running MacOS, you can try VMware, I know that the insanelymac forum allows discussion, or use ether to write the image to U disk, use the EFI I provided to boot into the installation process. BIOS setting: Press F12 at boot to enter the BIOS settings, Tab switches to "Security-Secure boot", set to "DISable", this is what we need, and switch to "Boot -Boot devices", set the U disk as the first boot item You can directly enter the clover guide interface, please follow it for google it. It is worth noting that the remaining space of your EFI partition needs to be greater than 200M, otherwise, the disk format will be wrong. In addition, the format partition format is APFS, do not choose to encrypt, your data is not valuable, at least you must have this awareness of Hackintosh, the file safe is also the same, do not enable, do not use to find your mac, otherwise, change the machine, OK . Fortunately, no additional ssdt patch is required. All the patch functions are implemented through clover. The flat Apple is turned on. This is to solve the problem of the flower screen. You can find a solution yourself. Experience your black apple, this will bring a better experience than MacBook Pro.
