1. Hi guys! Im posting this because there's something really wrong with sleep in el capitan... I had a very nice install of Mavericks, with everything working, including sleep.. I have made a new fresh install of EL Capitan, and while performance is pretty much better, i have a big issue. Every time i put the laptop to sleep the screen just goes black, and the lights remain on. There's no instant wake problem, but the onlyway to get out of the black screen state is forcing the shutdown. I've been reading RehabMan's post about 10.11 USB changes and solutions, but i am a bit lost. I have no problem with doing DSDT patching or whatever would be necessary to solve this issue, it's just that there are many alternatives to solve it and I don't wanna mess up the install. Could anyone kindly guide me to what would be the best procedure to follow? My DSDT has been freshly patched, and i followed Rehabmans advice to not use multiplex patch, nor GenericUSBXHCI kext. Anyone would help? Thanks in advance PS: The only USB patch i used for the DSDT was the USB7/8 series patch

3. I am trying to install Mavericks (Niresh) on VirtualBox. My computer is HP Envy TouchSmart 17-j043cl laptop (Haswell i7-4700mq + Intel HD4600). I get following message and installation is stopped: *** [iOBluetoothHCIController][searchForTransportEventTimeOutHandler] -- Missing Bluetooth Controller Transport! I tried combinations of -v, -x, -f, CPUs=1, GraphicsEnabler=Yes/No, npci=0x2000, etc. but no success. Some people say it's not a Bluetooth issue; it's a graphics issue. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you.

[BUY] Powerbook G3 "Wallstreet"

Wow... it's been many many years since I last posted on this site, but I thought I'd get back on here to get my nostaliga fix. If anyone has a Powerbook G3 Wallstreet in outstanding or like-new condition that works, I will gladly pay for one of these babies. Anyone out there with such a system?
6. I have a Toshiba X505-Q8104 Laptop running 10.8.2. I used (a slightly modded) iAtkos ML2 for installation. I have everything working except for a few minor annoyances and was wondering if anyone had any thoughts or ideas. I am running with a custom DSDT, with all the laptop sandy bridge patches. Although, I can't really see any differences when I boot without the DSDT.aml in my /Extra folder. 1. When I shutdown, the laptop properly shuts down, but in order to power on, I have to remove the battery and power plug before the power button will work. After removing the battery and unplugging, and then plugging either or both back in, the power button will work and the laptop will power on and boot properly. 2. Every once in a while (maybe 15% of the time) when booting, it panics in IOAudioFamily. Restarting usually works, and sometimes it seems like I need to use -v to boot, but once everything is booted, the Audio works rock solid. Of course I could remove the IOAudioFamily.kext, but then my audio doesn't work. I'd rather deal with the unreliable boot than have no audio. 3. When running a second display thru the HDMI the video works, but the external audio isn't available as an option in the sound preferences. Not a big issue, but when I watch videos on my external HDTV, I like to use the TVs audio instead of the laptops. Other than that, everything is working great and very stable.

10. Hello, After reading the FAQ on tonymacx86 and doing a successful install of MacOS Sierra on my HP laptop, I tried to get the ethernet working. I installed the RealtekRTL8100.kext from mieze (from the FAQ). It recognises the ethernet cable but there is no connection to the internet. I've read every forum post with the same ethernet card and people that have the same problem. And I installed some other kexts but those didn't work at all. Name: Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller Hardware id: PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8136&SUBSYS_8099103C&REV_0A It should be a RTL8101e. I've a dual boot with Windows 10 and everything is working fine there. Can someone please help me? I attached my files, look at "problem report" at the bottom of the page. files.zip

Voi sapreste mica darmi qualche dritta riguardo i miei problemi e i miei componenti? Grazie infinite in anticipo!

How can I install macOSX to my Toshiba R850

Hello Guys! First sorry for bad English. I am a newbie in the hackintosh world. I want use macOSX very bad. But I don't know how can I start. If you help me I would be grateful. There is my laptop information. Toshiba R850-116 2nd Generation Intel 2410M 2.30GHz CPU AMD Radeon HD 7400M (DeviceID = 6760 - VendorID = 1002) Qualcomm Atheros AR9002WB-1NG Wireless Network Adapter (WLAN) Intel 82579V Gigabit Network Connection (LAN) If you want another information, I will write quickly. A long time ago I tried to install macOSX Sierra, I installed and booted correctly. However, I could not install Graphic Card. It did not work and when I looked in Device Manager, I saw 4MB cache. Just that. How can I boot a correctly work macOSX? Please help me. I need macOSX for my job. But I do not have money. Thank all of you for hard working and for replies. And sorry for the headline. I wrote wrong heading. My problem is Graphic Card.
15. I recently got an Asus X55U laptop with the following specs: AMD Brazos C-60 1Ghz CPU 4GB DDR3 120GB HDD AMD HD 6290 Graphics. I am trying to use the Sierra 10.12.5 raw file from the Olarila forum. I understand that I need to change the kernel on the installer USB to one that supports AMD processors, but I am not sure which kernel to use or how to replace it. If anyone can help me with this I would appreciate it. Thanks. EDIT: Also when I try to use the Sierra Zone distro with the included AMD kernel, I get Error loading kernel cache (0x9) when trying to boot into the installer. EDIT 2: Nevermind this post. I just read that your CPU needs SSE4.1 to run Sierra and the C-60 only had SSE4A. I'll try an older version and make a new post if necessary.
16. HP ZBook 17 with Nvidia quadro k610m Yosemite 10.10.2 / Clover Hi everyone! This is my first post here, so bare with me So I've recently purchased a HP ZBook with the following graphics-related specs: -Intel i7 4900mq with HD 4600 graphics -Nvidia K610M dGPU with 1GB VRAM -internal 17" display with 1600x900 -(external) display connectors: Thunderbolt, DP, VGA -in theory you can drive up to 5 independent displays with it when using hybrid graphics and an extended docking station (internal, TB, 2x DP/DVI, VGA) My goal: Getting both, the internal screen and an external DP monitor to work Starting out: I've used NGUYEN's ProBook Clover install method to get (almost) everything working. This method works great with Intel HD 4600 graphics and the internal display. HOWEVER I'm unable to get an external display to work with it that I have connected to the DP. I've tried all the different ig platform ids but none of them worked. This leads me to believe that the DP connection might be hard-wired to the dGPU. If I have missed something so far or if you have different ideas, please let me know. BIOS: The interesting thing in the ZBook BIOS is that you have the choice to turn Hybrid Graphics on/off/auto, meaning that Intel HD graphics can actually be turned off! This would open the door for actually using the dGPU without getting into the dreaded "Nvidia Optimus" mode which doesn't work in OS X. What I have tested so far: Since my system is working well at the moment with HD 4600 graphics (BIOS=Hybrid Graphics enabled/auto), I prepared a USB stick with Clover for testing. -On the USB I deleted all references to HD graphics in my Clover config: ig platform id, inject intel, fake ID for IntelGFX. Instead I've turned "inject Nvidia" on. -Furthermore, I removed the DSDT and I'm only using a SSDT for processor speedstep. When trying to boot with Hybrid Graphics disabled (=Intel graphics off) OS X hangs on "AGPM Controller unknown platform". I'm sure that I still need more edits in my config and most likely in my dsdt. Any help and constructive comments are deeply appreciated!
17. Hi, I take as a 4 / 5h looking installation guides of hackintosh supposedly functional cases, but on all I see at the end talk about having some glitches with the graphics and / or audio (the subject of Wifi / Bluethoot did not matter as I see it resolved by usb or by changing the internal network card) Anyway, I wonder if it is possible to make a laptop with good performance stably operate as Hackintosh I am especially interested in the MSI laptop (almost all models of $1000 up are quite well), and the Lenovo z50-70 and y50-70 Another thing I see is that nobody speaks if hackintosh laptop support more monitors, This feature is normally supported or usually fail?
18. Hello, I have a problem that I've been trying to solve, but don't know where to start. The problem happens after I wake my laptop from sleep while on battery. Upon wake, the USB ports stop working, and I need to restart the laptop in order to get them working again. If I put the laptop to sleep while plugged in to the power adapter, the USB ports work upon wake. USB2 and USB3 ports are both affected. Has anyone had a similar problem? I haven't found something similar while searching. Any suggestions on troubleshooting are welcome! Laptop: Asus K450JN, i7-4700HQ 2.4 GHz, 8GB RAM, Intel HD4600 OS: Yosemite 10.10.1 Thanks!
19. Let me start off by saying that I am willing to pay for some extra help if necessary. I love Yosemite and I've been struggling with this for a couple weekends, so if someone does a great job of helping out I can definitely recognize that via PayPal. I have an HP DV6t-6100 with Insyde f1.b BIOS, i7 2820QM, Intel HD 3000 graphics and a Radeon HD 6770m 2gb on 16gb RAM and a hybrid 1tb drive partitioned 872gb Windows 7 / 128gb OS X Yosemite (hopefully). I also have a 1920x1080 resolution screen that I don't care about getting working correctly, I just want to at least install. I currently am attempting a ##### boot (so if I understand correctly, Chimera/Chameleon). Previously, I've gotten as far as to run the installer in Yosemite Zone and even had a bootable Yosemite with -x and CPUs=1. I would go back to Yosemite Zone(at least I knew it could work) but for the life of me I cannot get the installer to run again. I can't get the bootloader to boot past the forward slash symbol in the upper left corner, and I don't know which version I had that was running. I've tried 3 out that I've found to each have different file sizes from various torrent networks and google searched - none of them work. I get the bootloader to run - I select the USB drive of my four options to boot into, and using the boot flags -v, and CPUs=1 I get this screen here: Notice that I have a lapic_kernel panic, on an HP laptop, which is typical. But look at my boot flags!! I have CPUs=1 set. I normally use -x as well, but I forgot here and it creates the same message regardless. I have a quad core It's common knowledge that HP Laptops have local APIC issues, well documented, and there is already a KernelPatcher.dylib fix for the issue(shouts out to donovan6000? I think). Supposedly you can use CPUs=1 as a short term fix for the issue. Obviously this isn't the case for me. Regardless of the fact that CPUs=1 didn't resolve the issue in my case, I tried to use KernelPatcher.dylib, installed it in the Extra/modules folder using TransMac, and after I did that I got even less far in the bootloader process. I don't care about working audio, working high resolution graphics, or anything else. If I can get to barely crawl through the boot and install process and get to a functioning Finder window I will be 100% happy. I can do the rest of the playing around with kext files stuff later, right now I just want it to boot. Aside from the KernelPatcher.dylib I threw into Extra/modules (and then took out) I am using a completely virgin copy of ##### on a 64gb SanDisk USB drive. My ##### options: Yosemite 10.10.1 downloaded from Mac App Store on a real copy of Yosemite Laptop Support On Legacy USB On (didn't think I would need this one but without it I can't seem to load Chimera) I don't have a DSDT file, and I'm not sure if I need one. I've looked at tonymacs DSDT section and they have HP ProBook but that's the closest thing I could find - didn't seem like quite a good fit. Was I wrong? My motherboard, as typical of Insyde f1.b, is locked. It is using BIOS. The options I have from memory are.. Virtualization(enabled) action keys(enabled) changes Fx keys to require holding fn+Fx key, don't think this matters switchable graphics fixed/dynamic(set to fixed.) this controls how the dual graphics switch, all the guides I've read have said to stick with Fixed so I haven't experimented too much out side of this setting. fan always on(disabled) I think this lets the fan turn off if the CPU is cool enough. Don't think this matters, but my fan doesn't turn off during bootloader anyways lol My hard drive is a fusion 20gb flash 980gb HDD. I don't know how this correlates to the bootloader - I've tried dropssdt=yes a couple times but it doesn't seem to do anything different. But like I said I did get Yosemite Zone running ONCE but I cannot(and believe me I have tried) get it to run again. I am definitely doing something wrong. I'd like to stick with ##### if possible, but I'm open to whatever, I'm even going to buy a second USB stick in a couple days here to test out two easily. SO right now KernelPatcher.dylib is not installed, but it can be in a second. LET ME KNOW if there is ANY more information I can provide, I will be happy too. I tried to put everything I could think of in here. I've seen videos and posts of people with my same model of laptop, DV6t-6100, running Yosemite(more commonly mavericks) showing off that they have like 99% of the laptop working, so I know it's possible, I just don't know how they got there. I would be ecstatic if I could get this working tonight. Any help is so, so appreciated.

21. Hello, thank you to those who came to read the post, the problem is basically the title, I have a notebook with a i5-3210M, HD4000 and GT640M, OSX use it for some time and recently bought a monitor and am trying to enable the display and the monitor simultaneously. I Did these tests changing the value ig-platform-id: all 0x0166000Y where Y ranges from 0 to B values, I believe that these are all the possible values for notebook, I tested all of these values with the nvidia on and off (with DSDT ) with patch in AppleIntelFramebufferCapri.kext and unpatched, the results are the same, I get HDMI accelerated with the value 0x01660003 and the notebook screen with acceleration with the value 0x01660004, the other values i get the screen without acceleration or HDMI with defective image, but in none of the tests I got the screen and HDMI simultaneously, even without acceleration or faulty image . Does anyone have any idea how I can have the display and HDMI simultaneously or can point me something to help? Thanks.

HP Envy 14-1150ed

Hello everybody, I am trying to hackintosh my laptop using Clover, installing OS X 10.10.1 and Windows 8.1. I am using this guide to do so (http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/303615-guide-install-windows-8-uefi-on-legacy-bios-with-clover-and-dual-boot-with-yosemite/). 23. Hello everyone! I'm trying to install Mavericks on my HP ENVY 17-1050ep laptop and I've got some problems with it. If you're too lazy to follow link, here some specs: CPU: Intel Core i7-720QM RAM: 8GB DDR3 (if it matters) Video: ATI Mobility Radeon 5850 Graphics So, I've tried to boot and got freeze. Okay google: installation hackintosh stucks. Answer: Use -v. Okay, once again with -v: Stucks on [IOBluetoothHCIController][start] -- completed Okay google: wtf. Answer: Use GraphicsEnabler=No, -x, cpus=1 (it was before it, forgot to describe). Whatever, it doesn't change anything. Oh, no, it does. With GE=No option i've got black screen and freeze again. So, with GE=No I've no any graphics(haha) and stuck, and without it - just stuck after loading bluetooth driver(or what is it, dunno). Also google told me try to disable discrete video in BIOS, but I'm not sure if it is possible on this laptop. There is just couple options in BIOS(or UEFI) and all of them is about boot options and so on. There is no possibility to disable discrete video, and I'm not sure that I have integrated. Anyway, here is lspci output: What should I do? Please - help. Sorry for bad english, and thanks in advance. Peace!

25. Hi guys, my laptop hackintosh (#1 in signature) has now achieved 99% functionality Everything works, including HDMI and HDMI audio, WiFi and Bluetooth with BCM94352HMB, RTL8111 Ethernet working thanks to a great dev, full brightness control and native iGPU and CPU power management. All USBs were made to work by me in El Capitan, the NVIDIA card is disabled, due to Optimus not being supported, even my VGA, that doesn’t exist on Macs is working fricking great. All except for the card reader, which is Realtek. I would love to be able to import my camera pictures directly to OSX cause that’s where I do all my professional editing job! I am forced to boot Windows only for an SDCard. Then I pass the pictures and access them from OSX. Could you guys help me so I can get rid of Windows once and for all? I know there is not much developer interest about it, but I can tell you there is a lot of roaring and asking in the forums, people want their laptop card readers to work, if it would be possible, and it would be a great implementation to our kext database as well as hardware compatibility database. I also know for a fact that Realtek has released drivers for their USB Card Readers for Mac OS X. Any way we could adapt those drivers, and hopefully make a internal PCI Realtek Card reader kext, for Mac OS X? I am open to trying any suggestion given! Thanks in advance! PS: Vendor id and Device id are there, being recognised natively by MacOS X. We just need some developer love
