    Intel® Centrino® Advanced-N 6235

Hey everyone. I have a Sony Vaio Duo 11 - and appearently, it comes with the driver named in the title. I have the system itself fully set up. Ethernet behaves a little strange although I have installed all the drivers - and appearently I dont have osund and brightness just yet. But what bugs me most is the WiFi. Does anyone know a way I can get my hands on this device's driver? Regards Ingwie.

    Acer Aspire 5742

Hi all, first of all I present myself in the forum, this is a great place and you have helped me a lot whit my OSx86. I have a Acer Aspire 5742 with Intel ® Core ™ i3-370M Processor (3M Cache, 2.40 GHz) and I'm not sure the graphics chip used, I think it is Intel HD Graphics 3000, but I could not confirm this, I I know that this is the device id 0x0046 Intel (0x8086) 0x0002 revision. I've been time doing tests assuming it's a HD 3000 Graphics, I followed some of the threads of this and other forums but have not got any progress. iATKOS L2 works fine on my laptop, but graphics performance is terrible and I can only use 1024x768 resolution, though, to make it work I have to remove any Intel Graphics kexts. I have been researching and I found that Mac Book Pro 8.x uses the onboard graphics I've also seen this video on YouTube - - and it made my curiosity to overflow! Should not the graphics (assuming they are HD 3000) work with the native Apple kexts? Thank you & bye.
  3. Sorry to beat a dead horse, but i can't find this exact question asked. I know support for Intel HD 530 graphics is currently limited (flickering, no wake from sleep), but I noticed that the new macbook pros with touch bar that just came out a few days ago use Intel Iris 540. I realize that Iris 540 is a higher performance GPU than the HD 530, but it is in the same family. As far as i know this is the first Apple product to use any sky lake graphics. Any chance a simple mod of the Iris drivers will make the HD 530 fully functional?
  4. Hey guys, I'm using a guide like this one http://forum.osxlati...tel-hd3000-gpu/ to hopefully get working VGA on my notebook. The only part I don't understand is where it says to get the VGA port number and insert that into the patch. Where do I get this port number? Tried scanning Google, couldn't turn up anything relevant. Possibly relevant; This is a notebook, specs in the signature. I have full hardware acceleration and 1080p on my internal display already working. I've tried the guides default (09) and that didn't work... tried '03' as it's the third connection in the list but I have no idea if that's what port number is actually referring too. I always go to displays in system preferences and hold option to detect. I'm on 10.10.3. My device id in system profiler shows 0x0126, and I do have 512mb showing as well. Any suggestions?
  5. Hello everybody, I post here today with a problem that I cannot seem to get around. I've been an occasional "Hacintosher" for a few years but this time I think it's out of my hands. This is my build : GA-Z270X-UD5 i7 7700k 4,2Ghz GTX 1080 ti I followed all the steps in different guides here and there. I first had to install Sierra without the GTX inside otherwise I didn't get any display. I then installed the drivers, put the card in and it was working. Everything is working : Audio, Ethernet etc... but I only get 640p with the GPU on my 4K display with DP, with HMDI it doesn't even work. So right now it's on a TV... Then I have two other problems. First, I cannot get a "clean" install of Sierra, every time I boot I need to keep the USB stick with the installer and first boot from it. Second, before I put the GTX, I wanted for the Integrated Graphics to work, because actually, I would like to keep the GTX only for rendering. But now that it's inside, neither my display nor my TV can get a signal from the MOBO while connected in HDMI or DP. Attached is my clover folder, if any of you guys have solutions for my problems it would be extremely appreciated ! Thank you. CLOVER.zip
  6. Hi there, this is my first desktop Hackintosh build with El Capitan 10.11.3 and everything is very nearly working. My only problem I have is that my Intel HD4600 is only being recognised as having 7mb of RAM. I have tried to install the AppleIntelFramebufferAzul.kext, along with the FakePCIID.kext and FakePCIID_Intel_HD_Graphics.kext but there is still only 7mb of VRAM recognised and there is huge screen tearing happening. I've spent the last two hours looking for a fix for this but most of the solutions are for laptops only. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks, RBrNx Specs: i5 4590 @ 3.3Ghz - Intel HD4600 Gigabyte H97-D3H Motherboard Crucial Ballistix 8GB RAM Western Digital Green 1TB HDD Corsair CS450M Power Supply Here is my current config.plist: https://gist.github.com/anonymous/45936957495302b0e27e

  8. Here are my laptop specification and I want to know that If I can install any Mac OS X on my laptop. My laptop can run 64-bit of operating systems too. Please tell me if I can.
  9. Hi guys, I recently updated my Hackintosh from OS X 10.11.3 to 10.11.4 and after rebooting it came up with the prohibitory symbol. I can only boot up in safe mode and when I did that it loaded up a screen almost like I was installing El Capitan again (I think it might have been for the update?). But now I cannot boot into OS X now. I didn't think the update would have any issues for my Hackintosh because there didn't seem to be any specific hardware related fixes in the update. [EDIT] I also booted up in verbose and I get this... OsxAptioFixDrv: Starting overrides for System\Library\CoreServices\boot.efi OsxAptioFixDrv: Error - requested memory exceeds our allocated relocation block Requested mem: 1CA00000 - 1D1FFFFF, Pages:800, Size:800000 Reloc block: BE615000 - C8D64FFF, Pages:A750, Size: A750000 Reloc block can handle mem requests: 0 - A74FFFF Exiting in 30 secs ... 10. Hi ! Does anybody knows if OS X (10.7) would be compatible with the Intel C602 chipset used by bi-xeon motherboards ? And more generally what are the drawbacks of using dual processors with OS X ? Thanks in advance
  11. Hello all! I know this has been asked a lot of times in different forums, and it really feels wrong to post about it again, but I tried every solution I could find to no use. First, my relevant hardware specs: MOBO: ASUS Gryphon Z87 CPU: Haswell i5-4670k Graphics: Intel HD 4600 (Integrated CPU) Some history Where do I start? Let me see, I installed OS X 10.9.2 using myHack, the installation was smooth and fast, after installation I saw that booting from disk was not working, the system would just boot into UEFI GUI, so I used the chameleon boot loader already loaded in the pen drive I used for the initial installation. The system has some problems booting without some tweaking (as usual with Intel HD Graphics 4600). The systems almost always get stuck in the Bluetooth Controller line, I read that when this happens is because the OS cannot load the Graphics driver. It is also worth noting that I'm using an HDMI cable from my PC to a VIZIO LED-TV. What I tried? Booting arguments -v Most important argument -x System boots without problem GraphicsEnabler=No IntelAzulFB=0-15 Not a single one works consistently, sometimes a number works (3, 6 or 9) but when they do, they boot into safe mode without even using the -x flag, so the system 'works', it detects the HD 4600 but only with 7mb of VRAM System definitions iMac 14.2 MacMini 6.1 causes kernel panic in numbers 10 and 13 What I have configured in my UEFI settings? Secure both: Other OS (disabled in other words) Primary display: iGPU iGPU Memory: 64MB VT-d: Disabled What now? I'll try to use all the IntelAzulFB numbers again, using a new system definition. I hope you can help me find a solution. Maybe the IntelAppleFrambufferAzul.kext is corrupted or something? I don't know. Best regards. 12. Hi everybody After some years being away from the hackintosh world, I decided to come back and tried to install Yosemite on my weird chinese mini computer (mobo WTM-i5HX, Intel Celeron 1037U). Unfortunately I cannot enable AHCI. There is nothing I can do, I checked everywhere and there is no BIOS version to do that. My internal hard drive is not detected by the OSX setup, I can boot with no problem using the latest Chameleon, all my drives/partitions are seen on the boot menu, the problem is that the Disk Utility doesn't see anything but my USB stick. In the Windows device manager, I can found the hardware ID of the controller on which the disk is plugged in. It is 1c01, with the manufacturer 8086 (Intel), more information here: http://pci-ids.ucw.cz/read/PC/8086 In the original AppleAHCIPort.kext, I can see that the 1c02 and 1c03 are configured for the Intel6SeriesAHCI. I tried a ratchet insertion here by adding <string>pci8086,1c01</string> and ended up with a KP. I'm feeling close to a solution but cannot pinpoint what to do, where to insert that or how to do it. Do you have any idea? Thanks!

    Intel HD 630 no QE/CI

Hello! I recently managed to install OS X on my Acer Aspire VX 15 but I don't have QE/CI. On about this Mac it shows that I have 1.5GB of VRAM, but it's not working correctly.... What can I do? 15. Hi there! So I got a OSX install USB. I boot from it, Clover shows. In there are options to boot from Windows or the install usb. I boot from the install usb. After a minute or two of the apple logo with the spinning circle I come back to clover. I try the install USB again, it comes back to clover again. What should I try? By the way I'm following this guide: http://cloverboot.weebly.com/install-osx.html And where it shows the apple logo screen, it comes back to the clover screen after a minute or so. Thank you so much!! Intel i7 4790 Gigabyte Z97X-SLI MSI Nvidia 960 4GB 8GB Corsair RAM Windows 10
  16. Hello guys! I bought new computer parts about a month ago and since my new processor is Intel (Old one was AMD) i'm new to Intel hackintoshing. My new rig: Intel Core i7-4770K MSi Z87-G45 Gaming Kingston 2 X 4GB 1600MHz MSi Cyclone GTX 460 (I know this will work OOB in mavericks) Seagate Barracuda 1TB XFX 550W So what i want to get from this topic would be some help to prevent incoming problems, one thing that i know what will give me a headache could be that Killer E2200 ethernet driver, and yea my old build had regular bios and now i have UEFI. Is there something big difference between normal and uefi? Thanks already! -skndz
  17. Hi my friends, I need info about HD 2000, and I could and would like to help you, otherwise, how could change the specifications of the system, my processor is Intel Pentium G620, and describes it as i5, Thanks
  18. Hello, I installed El Capitan according to the guide at http://x220.mcdonnelltech.com on my Thinkpad x220. While the system runs mostly fine so far, I have the problem that the display exhibits a subtle but noticeable blinking/flickering. One example where this is clearly visible is the screenshot at https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/f4/Twm-screenshot-20050401.png. The title bar of the xterm window (more specifically, the dotted bar right of the "xterm" label) flickers on my X220 LCD on Mac OS X. There's no flickering when displaying the same screenshot on Linux. I thought this could be somehow related to the refresh rate. I tried the "cscreen" utility (http://www.pyehouse.com/cscreen/), which shows a refresh rate of 0. When trying to change it, nothing happens (no apparent change in behaviour, cscreen still shows "0") It also seems I'm not alone with this problem. The author of the aforementioned x220 guide could reproduce the behaviour on his x220. User "janohan" at He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named seems to have a similar problem (topic "Blinking screen elements - low refresh rate?"). Any ideas what could be the cause for this behaviour? Has anybody else have a display flickering problem like that on their hackintosh? Any hints greatly appreciated I suspect this must be somehow related to the graphics driver? Is there any other component besides the graphics driver which could be responsible for this behaviour? Could this be the backlight? (in what extent does the operating system control the backlight?)

    Brightness on HD 4000

Oh yeah, the ever-frustrating brightness, is it not? ._. So I tried a BUNCH of topics to solve my issue - here are the links to each: In Topic: [Guide] Backlight + Brightness for Intel 8086:0046 (1st gen HD) (GMA 5700MHD) In Topic: ACPI Backlight Driver In Topic: ACPIBrightness level Fix problem ...result? Zero. My PNLF device exists, and works, and changes brightness...without a kext. BUT. It stays incredibly dark. Only when my screen wakes, from sleep, it suddenly decides to work again...errrrm, yeah? >.> So, in the second link, I just recently posted my DSDT, though I realized I have a duplicate of the _DSM method...I might reupload my DSDT at some point and put a link into my signature. Whatever. Anybody who can give me a working solution would be a hero in my eyes. Im not too dumb to work with scripts and learned to understand my DSDT. But I am still new on that one. Regards, Ingwie
  20. Hi everyone, I really need your help I've been looking on your forums for a few days, I've searched everywhere and i cant find anything anywhere, so i decided to write a post. Im trying to install iAtkos s3 v2 Snow leopard on my old Compaq presario s0000/8000. It has 512mb ram Intel Pentium 4 with HT technology Intel extreme graphics I have a usb keyboard/mouse wireless. This is post intstallation, i cant even get to the install. i insert the disc, boot up the PC and i get to the iAtkos boot screen, press any key to boot from disc or press f8 for more options, ive tried boot flags or whatever you call them -x with -v -x, -v, -s wont boot at all. it says ERROR: Firewire unable to determine security-mode; defaulting to full-secure. I wait and then i get Still waiting for root device this continues on and on. I've seen posts about still waiting for root device but none of the replys ever seem to work. when i turn off fire wire in BIOS, i get "com.apple.AppleFSCompresionTypeZlib load succeeded." then still waiting for root device I once got what I though was a kernel panic, cant quite remember, something like please take a photo of the screen and send to someone and explain what you were doing at the time. sorry for any inconvenience (then loads of different numbers. if I don't use any boot flags then my apple logo appears with the loading pin and then a few mins later I get the circle with diagonal line through it. I don't know what to do, i have an idea it might be something to do with my hard drive. I recently had iDeneb leopard installed but i really need snow leopard i watched a video on YouTube how to do it with pentium 4 processor and 512mb ram, it is possible, apple may say its not compatible but I've seen it up and running. so if it is my hard drive maybe i need to format it to a certain type, but I don't know how with no OS installed as i formatted iDeneb through Windows XP installation disk but only to (raw) I don't know what that is, it doesn't pick up NTFS file system. so i really don't know. please help! and I've spent like an hour explaining this so please don't say its not compatible or something stupid because I know it is i just need an answer! Thanks! my photos wont upload
  21. hello everyone, im new to installing mac os x operatingsystems on a windows-based pc. i tried it once or twice a couple years ago but without any luck . so my first question is, how can i know/find out if my hardware is compatible? second question, where and how can i find all the right drivers i need? and how do i need to save it/install it on an bootable mac osx drive? (i found out there are different programs for this, which one is the easiest? chameleon etc) & my last question, is my setup to old to install El Capitan or Sierra when it comes to drivers? perhaps like No Audio, Etc. do i need a certain version? i hope somebody has the time and would like to explain this or atleast help me on my way. i would like to install El Capitan or Sierra on this PC. most reviews or build guides i found dont have the specific answers im looking for MY SETUP/HARDWARE: CPU: INTEL i5-3330 3,0Ghz MOBO: ASUS P8B75-M LX RAM: 8GB DDR3 VIDEOCARD: GeForce GTX 750 ti SSD: KINGSTON 240 GB + Couple of old Western Digital harddrives Thankyou, Mac OSX Newbie
  22. My processor configuration is: 3.19 GHz Intel Core i5 My Ram: 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 Onboard graphics: Display 64 MB of Shared System Memory And my motherboard configuration is: Asus P8B75-M LX Currently I am running Mountain Lion. I need to upgrade to Mavericks 10.9, but having issues with the Graphics card compatibility. I need some advice On which would be the Supported graphics card for my system. I'm an Indian resident. The site to search for would be http://www.flipkart.com/gaming-components/graphic-cards/pr?p%5B%5D=sort%3Dprice_asc&sid=4rr%2Ctin%2C6zn&q=graphics+card I would really appreciate some help. Basically I am looking for cheap(cost wise) graphics card.
  23. Hey all, I'm new to the OSx86 community. I'm a recording engineer and I'm looking to get a solid OSX rig to run ProTools on and eventually upgrade to a HD system with some PCI Cards. I have a good amount of experience working and troubleshooting computers, even built a few windows systems myself. I found a custom built server a friend was running linux on and I was wondering if I could buy it and turn it into a solid OSx86 system. Here are the parts.... 1 x XCLIO Windtunnel Fully Black Finish 1.0 mm SECC Chassis ATX Full Tower Computer Case 1 x GIGABYTE GA-EX58-UD3R LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard 1 x Rosewill RP550-2 550W ATX12V v2.01 Power Supply 1 x Intel Core i7-920 Bloomfield 2.66GHz LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core Processor BX80601920 1 x OCZ ReaperX HPC 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model OCZ3RPX1333EB4GK 1 x Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3250410AS 250GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive 1 x LITE-ON 22X DVD Burner Black SATA Model iHAS322-08 1 x PowerColor AX3870 512MD3-PH Radeon HD 3870 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card For ProTools compatibility I NEED to run the latest Version of SNOW LEOPARD 10.6.8 is $400 a fair price for the system as of April 2012 ? From the forum lurking I've done, I think the CPU and the motherboard will work, and I know I have the ability to upgrade CPU in the future due to the motherboard. I'm questionable about the graphics card, I'm thinking about upgrading it and getting some more ram. I'm not using this computer for gaming, so I don't need any real graphics power, my goal is shear CPU processing power for an AVID ProTools Native system. I know a lot of audio enthusiasts out their crave an OSX system an the $2k+ entry price of Mac Pro is money you'd rather spend on speakers or mics, Thanks for the help, I'll post updates of the processes as I go to those who are interested.
  24. Hey guys, So I made a thread a while ago about my problem with Safari Flickering, etc. A user suggested to enable QE/CI, which sounds like that what I might need to do..the problem is, I don't know what to do or where to start I have an Intel HD 4000 Graphics, i3 processor..That's the only relevant information, really. Original thread: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/308883-intel-hd-4000-safari-flickering-and-other-graphical-bugs-troubleshooting/ I have no idea how to 'inject' kexts. I'm a complete noob to this but loving Hackintosh a lot so far. Thanks guys.
