1. Hello, im new to the forums and i have a problem installing Hazard's Snow Leopard on my AMD computer. Here are my specs: CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 (no overclock) Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H RAM: Corsair Vengeance 4GB 1333mhz DDR3 x2 (8gb total) Graphic card: Nvidia GTX 550 Ti 1GB (no overclock) HDD: WD 500gb (465gb formatted) SATA3 I've tried both ##### and ModCD and none of them work, i even tried EmpireEFI. On every bootloader, when i swap the disks and press F5, all of the disk labels get corrupted. I've tried the following commands: -v busratio=18 (and for the ModCD >) rd(0.0)/Extra/ModCD/modbin_kernel (i think). What is wrong? I thought it was maybe the ISO I downloaded. Please help this Hackintosh noobie!
2. Hi guys! Finally I have deep sleep working with Clover and El Capitan, but only with hibernate mode 29.. No matter what slide values I use, I get a weird graphical artefact after wake from hibernation... Screen flickers much more than normal, at a weird refresh rate, and the brightness controls take no effect.. I am guessing this is a problem with ACPIBacklight kext.. Any way to debug the issue, any way I could fix this?
3. hihi guys, anyone has any experience on p3700/p3600 hackintosh build? Will it be bootable assume the mobo support isn't an issue?
4. Hey guys, Normally I don't resolve to an option like opening a topic for such a common problem, but I have no choice as my headache's getting worse every second. I have gone through a lot of topics with the same problem, but with no help. I have an Asrock ION330 Pro on which I'd like to install Mountain Lion. It has the following specs: Atom 330 dualcore @ 1,6 GHz 2GB ram NVIDIA ION GPU After following this guide http://pastebin.com/Pkn7FB7z I succesfully installed Mountain Lion. I needed to use the following parameters though: -v -x -f npci=0x3000 GraphicsEnabler=Yes UseKernelCache=No Just after part 6 of the tutorial it says that I need to boot in my freshly new installed Mountain Lion OS. I boot with -v and after a while the letters go away (so no problems i guess) and my display goes all black. Nothing. The display doesn't go to sleep so it must've been getting some sort of signal. After all the topics I've looked at I think it must be because my GPU isn't supported or something. I tried booting with GraphicsEnabler=No and still no luck. What do you think the problem could be?

ACPI Kernel Panic

Hello to the community, I had to open a thread due to an error that is making me becoming crazy. I tried to install OS X on my AMD Toshiba Satellite L650D-101 (Snow Leopard, Lion, Mountain Lion) with every boot flag I know. The installation doesn't start, It freezes on a Kernel Panic "Unable to find driver for this platform "ACPI"... etcetera. I tried iAtkos L2, iAntares 10.6.3, Retail 10.6, Retail 10.8.2, but each of these distros gives me that Kernel Panic. My Toshiba's processor is an AMD Athlon II Dual-Core P320 2,10GHz. It has 4GB of Ram and a ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5145. All the post-installation comes after, the "only" problem for now is to get in the installation menu. Thanks in advance
7. Hello geniuses, I have scoured InsanelyMac, OSx86, and even, yes, "the site that must not be named," but I cannot find a solution within my immediate knowledge for my problem. After many tinkerings, I am finally able to get to the language selection screen (first screen in the OS X 10.8 installation process). Much to my dismay, neither my keyboard nor my mouse are responsive. If I leave the screen idle for some time (approx. 8 min) it goes blank white, but hitting the power button seems to wake it up, and I'm back at the language selection screen. I am following this guide to install Mountain Lion (OS 10.8) onto my rig. My boot function (is that the right word) is as follows: -v GraphicsEnabler=No -f My rig is as follows: Obsidian 660T Case ASRock Z77 Xtreme 4 i7 3770k 32gb RAM (4x 8gb) 2TB HDD, 256gb SSD, 128gb SSD (with Windows 8 already installed on 1 TB. My plan is to install OS X onto the 256 SSD) 2x GeForce GTX 660 ti 3gb SLI (although I've disabled them for now via BIOS, using only the onboard graphics - HDMI hooked up to the motherboard) Dedicated Sound card onboard Blu Ray burner/Reader 12x Wifi/Bluetooth Card Extremities: Monitor: 27" Samsung HDMI 1920X1080 monitor 2hz refresh rate Keyboard: SteelSeries Merc USB Wired Mouse: Razer DeathAdder I have already deleted the nVidia* files from the /Extensions folder, as well as /Caches/com.apple.kext.caches/Startup/Extensions.mkext I have tinkered around with Kext Wizard to see if I need to install a driver that is recognized at installation, but honestly cannot figure out what to correctly add. Help me InsanelyMac. You're my only hope.
8. Hello, I installed ML on an gigabyte H67n-usb3-b3 with i3 and intel HD3000 integrated graphics. All works just fine except for one very annoying issue. upon every reboot the graphic resolution resets to "Best for display" and the image is overscaled. To fix it i have to change resolution option to "Scaled" and select any other resolution and then select 1080p so it's ok for my display. Any help is apreciated. Thank you. Here's a screenshot that i took upon reboot. The clear part is what i see on my display.

10. Hello anyone reading this, I've pretty much hit a wall, I've attempted to get a working hackintosh going and I guess i'd say i'm almost there. I've gotten it installed and can boot into to it at 1920x1080 with working ethernet. no sound or qe/ci of course This is the first time i've tried to do this and to be honest i'm confused and don't know what im doing i've been at it for about 3 days now with little sleep and have gotten no where. I've used niresh 10.8.5 distro because it was the only thing i could get to boot with my haswell processor. I have a dell inspiron 23 5348. Intel Pentium Dual Core (4th generation) 4gb of ram intel hd 4600 in depth pdf of all my specs in case theres something else that someone will need to know to assist me http://content.abt.com/documents/55615/I53484444BLK_specs.pdf i've tried some of the audio choices in multibeeps (cant type the actual name for some reason) but they didnt get me any sound. as for graphics i did try using this guide here but it didnt get me qe/ci the most i could do was get my res up https://giuliomac.wordpress.com/2014/03/03/how-to-enable-intel-hd4600-natively-on-your-hackintosh/ But yeah i would really appreciate something. I don't have the slightest clue what to do and really don't want to go back to windows. even without sound and qe/ci OS X is pretty sweet and now that i've got a taste of it I don't think i can go back easily!

MSI MPOWER Z87 Help

Hello! I'm new to all this "hackintosh" business so please pardon my lack of knowledge So Here's the build I'd like to install OS X 10.9 (or 10.8 if 10.9 wont work): Processor: Intel Core i7-4770k Graphics Card: MSI Twin Frozr GTX 660 Ti (The MSI version of Nvidia's version of the GTX 660 Ti?) Memory: Patriot Viper 32GB (4x 8GB cards) Motherboard: MSI MPOWER Z87 Chipet (Does have the UEFI thing) DVD Drive: ASUS 24x DVD Burner DRW-24B1ST HDD: 1 or 2 TB (Don't think it matters) Case: Corsair (7 Fans! lol) (Don't think this matters either) I built it with the best that I could get, thinking that it would be better so that OS X would run really fast So will my hardware support? and what boot flags (I read some of the instructions) should I use? Will provide everything necessary to get this baby working xD Thanks! DustinKazi P.S. Could I also possibly install Xcode and iLife on it (via the DMG files that I found)?

16. Hi, I just installed Yosemite on my Asus Zenbook UX31L using #####. I have patched my kernel using this guide: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/top...-early-reboot/ I currently need to boot using bootflag -no-pz or else it gives me kernel pannics. Now I'm looking for drivers / kexts. - My wifi card is an Intel 7260, already found out OSX doesn't support any intel nic's. - I'm trying to use a USB 3.0 Gigabit RTL8153, not finding any drivers for that either. - For my audio I couldn't find my chipset online so I'm gonna try a Linux liveboot tomorrow to find out (I'll update this post asap). - For my videocard I would like to start this guide [FIX] Intel HD4400/HD4600 Mobile on Yosemite but I need an internet connection for the codesign command... So my main problem is an internet connection and the audio, so if anybody could help me with that, it would be greatly appreciated. 18. I have installed Lion on Vmware and due to good performance I have decided to install natively on the computer using this method: http://tonymacx86.bl...lion-using.html My machine: Intel Desktop Board DH67B Intel Core i3-2100 Processor (3M Cache, 3.10 GHz) The video is integrated on the motherboard Samsung S19A300 18.5 inch Widescreen LED Monitor Two Kingston of 4GB DDR3 PC3-10700 1333MHz But I have some questions: 1. What would be the choices I make in #####? I found this topic with the option to place in the ##### But not any graphic option marked: http://www.tonymacx8...=141042#p141042 2. How to configure the integrated video motherboard? 3. Can you update the Lion without problems or I have to fix in each update? 4. I recognize the configuration of my monitor? 5. I found the DSDT file of the motherboard but not how to use it: http://olarila.com/f...c.php?f=7&t=219 Any help is appreciated as I am very new on Mac Thanks
19. Hi, i'm trying to install 10.6.7 from MBP early 2011 install DVD (directly restored on usb stick, and using chamelon with MBP 8,1 smbios, with clean and patched dsdt) but when i'm supposed to be on the install screen, all i get is this glitched screen : the spinnig wheel doesn't freeze. this laptop actually work pretty well with 10.8.5, but i want to try snow leo on it from long time... the integrated gpu is a HD3000 with id 0126, wich is supposed to be supported by 10.6.7, and this id is quite present in the intelHD kext. someone have an idea about this problem ? could it be related with fixed memory sharing ? (in bios, it's fixed to 128 MB, i can't change it) booting with -x doesn't help. thanks

HD3000 / Nvidia 560ti + AirPlay

Hi everyone. It's been almost a week now that I've been trying to make this work but so far no luck. I have an i5 2500K (HD3000) CPU/GPU and an nvidia 560ti . So far what I've noticed is: When both cards are installed (with the internal set to on) the HD3000 GPU doesn't get recognized, no kext loaded, 64 MB. When only HD3000 is installed, everything works as it should, even Airplay. I tried modifying two kext files to add the device ID (0112) and acceleration works (transparency etc) but Airplay always crashes. with this error in the logs: Crashed Thread: 3 Dispatch queue: com.apple.videotoolbox.compressionQueue Exception Type: EXC_BREAKPOINT (SIGTRAP) Exception Codes: 0x0000000000000002, 0x0000000000000000 I also tried an EFI string I found on this forum and acceleration works as well but same result as above. I'm about to give up! lol Can anyone shed some light on what I'm doing wrong? I've seen other people with similar or even same setups and they work fine . Thank you!
21. I had sleep and everything functioning fine before i switched system definitions a few times and ultimately went back to the classic Mac Pro 3,1. Now my sleep doesn't wanna work, any ideas? I'm on 10.10.2 Yosemite Clover uefi https://vid.me/KR7q What is happening: Hackintosh sleeps the display, and the systems fans keep spinning and functioning as if the system never went into sleep, and my APPLEHDA resets when i "wake up the system" (press a key on the keyboard) as if the computer actually went to sleep
22. i have ended up getting high sierra installed on my intel DQ670w board. i used a premade high sierra/clover dmg i extracted to a usb flash drive. right now the audio, networking arnt working and the video card i have in the machine an nvidia geforce 1050 gtx ti it works but has very very very choppy/jittery video. i did find some kext files for the network and audio but when i put them in the extensions folder they didnt do anything to add audio or networking. also i have to get the machine to boot from the hard drive rather then having to boot the usb flash drive to get the hard drive to boot and i have to work on the video card stuff as well. i am not to good at this stuff cause usually when i have tried stuff i end up breaking stuff or that stuff doesnt work. i am not all that code or certain tech savy. i am not the brightest. i like things laid out where its all like this is the files and where you get them from this is how u work with them kind of thing. it does agravate me when people just wont lay out stuff as like a dummy book does and makes everything easy. i tried on facebook groups and got as far as to be told what kexts to find but never told where to find them. i did try to look on my own and i did find a few kexts but they where ones that needed alterations to the os to even make them usable. the video kext or driver i was told to install it and do something like change something to true. all i need are the kext files and to make the machine boot from the hard drive rather then complaining it doesnt have an os on the drive or having to use the usb flash drive to make it boot and the video files and to know how to deal with the files and make them work without having to start over with everything and reinstalling stuff
23. Hi everybody, After fresh updated my hackintosh system (old fashioned...) i get some troubles with the power management. Sometime after sleeping the system won't boot on OS X. I recently installed El Capitan original with my USB key and the app dowloaded on the app store without any tool just burned it on the USB drive with disk utility. Sometime booting after sleeping works very well and sometimes not at all. I was thinking about an incompatibility with my specs. But not sure and thought it was because of the AppleIntelACPI Power Management kext. My BIOS is configurated with S3 sleep only and i use a little Overclock on it : 2,80Ghz RAM at 800mhz to ~3,4Ghz RAM 1100Mhz. I have no problem with Windows 7, 8.1, 10. It's only on Mac OS X. Is anyone can help me, please My specs are : Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 2,80Ghz OC 3,40Ghz MB : ASUS P5QL-E bios last updated RAM : 4*1GB RAM Corsair 800Mhz OC 1100Mhz SSD : Sandisk Ultra II 128Go SATA 3GB HDD : 2*500GB raid Seagate 2,5" GPU : Asus GT630 4BG DDR3 PSU : LEPA 80Plus Bronze 550W Thank you to all the community for all your help. And sorry for my english if is there any mistakes in my post. I'm a fu***** frenchie
24. Hello. I am unable to boot into Mavericks Installer and Yosemite. This is frustrating as i am able to on vmware. I am using a Dell Inspiron 15 7000 series 7559 laptop where all usb ports are usb 3.0. I am not sure if this is the problem but the usb light turns off after pressing enter at the boot flags screen. Any help would be appreciated. Pictures are attached: My Specs: Intel i7-6700HQ 8gb ram Intel HD Graphics 530 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M
25. This is a dedicated thread about the intel 8255X based ethernet cards which, although being old (but also very cheap and easy to find used online), they still works in the latest macOS releases today i tested mine with the 64 bit compiled AppleIntel8255X kext and works like a charm! stable and withou any issues with mine 100 mbit managed ethernet switch and also without suffering of problems like connection dieing under heavy load or sleep/wake issues, so just to report that i have create this dedicated thread about and also i leave the kext as an attachment, in this post, this may be usefoul to have cheap working ethernet for hackintosh machines running the latest macOS or just to reuse old hardware some one can have laying around.
