    Intel HD3000 QE/CI

Any success on Intel HD3000 full acceleration?? I have already tried kexts im using in 10.8.4 as well as fresh kexts posted on osx86.net - still cant get qe/ci.
  2. MSI z97 970 gtx intel 4790 disabled vt-d, and I try boot flags -x, -v. graphicsenabler=yes, pciroot... and reboot & reboot. Apple logo appears and system restart. And I tried without 970gtx and nothing What should I do?
  3. Hi, I have troubles getting my setup to work with hyperthreading 32 threads. I run a Supermicro X9Dai Rig, 32GB Ram, Dual E5-2670 C0 (CPUID: 0x206d5). I run Yosemite 10.10.1 Bootloader is Clover UEFI. Everything runs like a breeze, but I am not able to enable Hyperthreading. With Chimera I got Kernelpanic on Boot with mp_cpus_call_wait Error. Now with Clover and AppleIntelCPUPowermanagement.kext installed (FixHPET=off/on and FORCEHPET=off) I got "panic(cpu 0 caller 0xffffff7f82018cc9) : No HPETs available...CPU(s) configured incorrectly" Kernel Extension in backtrace: com.apple.driver.AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement After that I tried to remove AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext and AppleIntelCPUPowerManagementClient.kext. It hangs then at "Mac Framework successfully initialized using 16384 buffer headers and 10240 cluster IO buffer headers". Also sometimes it hangs at FakeSMCKeystore: started. I boot with arch=x86_64 dart=0 npci=0x3000 kext-dev-mode=1 slide=0 So far no success. I also tried to change ACPI Status from S3 to S1 or disable. No success. May anyone has a clue and could point me in a direction? There was no Problem with Mavericks btw. Thanks a lot, Michael
  4. I have noticed that there not many guides out there for installing Mountain Lion on Intel HM 77 chipset laptops. So I thought of sharing my experience on Installing ML on my HP Sleekbook 15t (b001-ee). Hardware Specs: BIOS Manufacturer: Insyde. BIOS Type: UEFI - LOCKED (with support for legacy boot) Core i3 3217U @ 1.8 Ghz (2 Cores, 4 threads) 4GB Samsung DDR3 1600 RAID 500 GB HDD IDT High Definition Audio Atheros Bluetooth (Device ID: 0311f) Atheros AR9565 NVIDIA OPTIMUS (Geforce GT 630m - PCIe + Intel HD 4000 - Built In) Realtek RTL 8101E/8102E Ethernet What Works? Proper Detection Of CPU, RAM USB 2.0 and 3.0 Ethernet (recognized as RTL 8169) Intel HD 4000 Graphics (Quartz Extreme and Core Image Enabled) Bluetooth Trackpad IDT High Definition Audio (recognized as Intel HDA) Battery What does not work? NVIDIA Optimus Brightness keys (works only at boot) WIFI - Im using a micro Wifi USB from a manufacturer called 'Tenda' it uses Realtek RT2870 USB chip, this same chip is found on the more popular WIFI stick from D-Link (DWA-125). Latest drivers are readily available from the realtek website, I got usb from a shop near my place for $10, it might be even more cheaper online Booting OSx without USB - I need myself some guidance, because I have tried using clover to boot but it does not work at all unfortunately Installation: What do you need: > A Mac or a computer with Mac OSx 10.6.8 or Higher (a Virtual Machine is fine too, I installed using a VMware image of 10.8.3, google souldevteam for more details) > 8 GB USB > Retail DVD or copy of Mountain Lion What does Mac OSx need to prepare USB ML Installer? > Latest version of myHack app - myHack | Taking the iFail out of iHack - SojuGarden > Latest version of Chameleon Wizard -Hackintosh Chameleon Wizard 4.2.1 - Downloads - OSx86.net >Kext Wizard - Hackintosh Kext Wizard 3.7.10 - Downloads - OSx86.net What does the target laptop needs to be running? >The computer should already be running a windows OS at least with windows running on separate partition (It should se a GUID partition) OR a separate Hard Disk (recommended) > Windows OS should have MacDrive installed (trial version will do fine) Preparing ML USB: >Mount USB >Run myHack app, run "Create Mac Osx Installer" choose 10.8, select target your mounted USB now browse through the computer and select the Mountain Lion dmg/iso (InstallESD) or if its an app browse to your applications folder to find the installer. The copying process may take around 40 mins. The app may also ask to create Extra folder, just select generic >After the process is done, install extensions which I have attached using kext wizard on the USB choosing S/L/E folder to install. Delete Browse to S/L/E on the usb and delete AppleHDA kext, Repair permissions and rebuild caches using the same app. P.S. I didn't have a problem with getting my internal drives detected by the installer, but if you do come across a similar issue download the AHCI kexts I have attached and install along with the extensions files mentioned earlier. UPDATE: Added alternate AHCI and USB kext (which works for HP ENVY Sleekbook 6-1151er) - credit transmist >Launch Chameleon Wizard, install latest bootloader to your ML USB, select boothfs option not update. >In Chameleon Wizard app, goto Smbios tab, edit the smbios file and from the model presets choose Macbook Pro 9.2 and save the file to desktop >Copy smbios file from desktop and paste it to your Extra folder on your ML USB. Installing on target laptop >Go to BIOS, disable secure boot it might ask you for password. Enable Legacy Boot. Configure Boot Order to prioritize USB. Or using F9 key at boot which will allow you to choose USB >Boot from usb >Once at the bootloader screen, boot the installer using the following flags -v cpus=1 GraphicsEnabler=No >You should now be at the install screen >Goto disk utility and create GPT/GUID partition >Continue and install Mac OSx. Should take 15-20 mins >Near the end of installation myHack will ask for adding Extra folder again, install generic if you had not done this before or this time just choose the one you modified earlier in your USB, then later it will ask for removal of some kexts (ApplePolicyControl, NVD*** kexts) just select to remove them. >Once its done, restart and now boot into windows and access the ML drive where you just installed the OSx (as mentioned earlier, you should have MacDrive to view OSx drives) >Browse to System/Library/Extensions folder and delete the following kexts: AppleHDA, all AppleIntelHDGraphics4000 kexts, geforce kext, all GF*** kexts, all NVD*** kexts >Restart and boot from USB >Launch the installer again using the same boot flags as mentioned earlier >From Utilities run myHack and then run Myfix. This will fix permissions from the files you deleted using windows >Restart again and boot from USB >Now boot the Mac Osx drive, using same boot flags >If all went accordingly you should now have successfully booted to your Mountain Lion Post-Installation For this part you need to download the following: >10.8.3 Combo update OS X Mountain Lion Update v10.8.3 (Combo) - Support - Apple >Multi beest - Mountain Lion (http://www.tonymacx8...m/downloads.php - You need to be registered user to download) >Kernel Patch to fix all cores (cpus=1 issue) (check attachments) >Ethernet driver (check attachments) Your current Mountain Lion version is 10.8 download 10.8.3 Combo update from Apple website and install. DO NOT click restart just yet though. >Browse to System/Library/Extensions folder and delete the following kexts: AppleHDA, geforce kext, all GF*** kexts, all NVD*** kexts >Install the extensions that I provided again using Kext Wizard >Run Multi-beest, Expand Drivers & Bootloader>Misc> and select USB 3.0 Universal and PS/2 and install >Install Ethernet driver RTGNIC >Install Kernel Patch >Fix permissions using kext wizard and restart >Boot from USB >Now you can boot into your ML without any boot flags, you may use -v for debug or -f or -x if for some reason it fails to boot Latest version of chameleon bootloader will auto inject your HD 4000 graphics info and you should have QE/CI working Pls do share your experiences and help improve this guide for others THANKS! Dual graphics on Desktop

Hello there, I don't know if this is the right place for asking this, but I have a question. I noticed that in my build I can run IGPU an PEG at the same time, but my HD 530 refuses to work, only my Nvidia GT710 works. The question is, there are advantages of running dual graphics on desktop other than having more monitors? I ask this because I could try to activate my IGPU if i would have more performance... Thanks in advance.
  6. Hi I'm running 10.6.8 and on every version of OSX the CPU speed scales down from 1.6GHz to 800MHz when the AC power cord is unplugged and running on battery. This was confirmed by GeekBench. I'm pretty sure this is to do with Intel SpeedStep but there's no option in the BIOS to disable it. VoodooPowerMini, VoodooBattery and NullCPUPowerManagement are installed but the problem still remains. Any ideas on how to resolve this issue? Is something like CoolBook to set a fixed, specific CPU speed the only option? Thanks
  7. I've been following this tutorial: When trying to get OS X Mavericks running in VMware however, I get this error: http://i.imgur.com/yxRpoj2.png "Mac OS X is not supported with binary translation. To run Mac OS X you need a host on which VMware Workstation supports Intel VT-x or AMD-V." I used the unlocker and think I've followed every step correctly. Here is the torrent I used: http://kickass.to/os-x-mavericks-10-9-retail-vmware-image-t7981468.html Should I be using a different version of VMware? I'm running VMware Workstation 10. Thank you very much for your time. I appreciate the help. I'm brand new to all of this and was referred here by a nice guy on reddit. Here is my original post: http://www.reddit.com/r/hackintosh/comments/202dyq/no_dualboot_hackintosh_or_macos_experience_i/

    HP Pavilion dv7 4087cl - compiler errors

Hello members of InsanelyMac, I've been trying for a while now to try to edit my DSDT to fix certain issues in OS X on my laptop, such as properly recognizing the graphics card and other patches, but I always get compile errors. I'm not really sure how to fix these errors. Can someone simply fix the errors in my DSDT (I think I can do the graphics patching)? Here is my unedited DSDT extracted in Windows using DSDT Editor. - RM

Follow the Steps in this Hackintosh Zone High Sierra Guide I installed the Mac Installer on a USB 3 Drive, plugged into one of the USB 2 Ports on the Back of the PC For the BIOS Setup, I used this Post to find all of the settings Under the Customize section, in the install process, set these options: Note: All of these Options are under Hackintosh Zone -> High Sierra Zone Check Kexts -> WiFi & Ethernet - This enables the Ethernet Port Check Kexts -> Audio -> AppleALC - This will enable the Audio Ports After installation, I did not need to performed the "App Store Fix" - However, if you do not and the the App Store doesn't work for you, follow this Post. After the Restart I went to the App Store and installed all Updates (repeat as necessary) After OS Updates, I update the Clover Configurator - Be sure to mount the EFI volume first - During the Installation Type step, select Customize button - - Check the Install for UEFI booting only Post Installation Manual Fixes The Mouse Scroll Wheel is set to the Apple Touchpad direction To fix that, go to System Preferences -> Mouse and uncheck Scroll direction: Natural The resolution was stuck at 1024x768 Using the Clover Configurator, I selected the Patch VBios option This forced the resolution to 1920x1080 (the max my monitors support) I could not change Clover's Theme The problem was because Clover had installed it's holiday themes To fix, open Clover Theme Manager and uninstall the holiday themes My hard drive Volume would not boot by default Use this Post to set the Using the Default Boot Volume in Clover Configurator Also be sure to set the Timeout option This may cause infinite loops during updates, that you will have to manually select correct volume to get out of Home and End keys have weird behavior Use this Post to fix that Known Unresolved Bugs The VRAM is set to 7 GB, even though the motherboard default is 32 / 256 I cannot get Dual Monitors to work, even though the motherboard supports up to 3 - Using DVI-D and VGA There is some flickering on the screen - Note: It is worse for some apps, like Chrome and Intell I have been unable to install the macOS HighSierra 10.13.2 Update Combo 10.13.2 Software I Like to Install Note: I am not affiliated with any of these apps. 11. Hello A month ago I upgraded my PC from AMD to Intel platform in the context of build Hackintosh machine. So I made movie from this process with benchmark comparing these platforms. So old Phenom x4 955 is still good piece of silicon compared with intel Haswell. Of course in benchmark Cinebench is a large difference but in the games is not so much Windows 8.1 and OS X El Capitan are for one machine and both working very well Below my movie with benchmarks: Upgrade from AMD Phenom x4 955 to Intel i5 4460 ( Gigabyte Z97X Gaming 3 ) with Benchmarks
  12. Since when I updated to 10.13.6 (and possibly .5 since i don't use usbs that often) my usb 3.0 drives don't work on usb 3.0 ports or hubs and work only if inserted slowly and get recognized as usb 2.0s in that case (480mb/s in sysinfo) and if i try to put my hackintosh to sleep the screen turns black for a second and then it takes me to the login screen instead of going to sleep, this usb issue happened to me on 10.13.2/3 too, is there a way to fix it ? Thank you CLOVER not working usb 3.0s+ sleep.zip
  13. Hi guys Video Decode Acceleration is the framework provided by Apple to allow programs to accelerate H.264 media through hardware. There has been currently no known way to achieve this, but it has been found! ALERT! If you already have VDA, don't even bother reading this, unless you have another machine waiting. Go here to download a tool to check: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/261104-check-for-hardware-video-acceleration-capabilities/ Guide for GPUs: There are three things your setup must satisfy to achieve VDA. 1. Hardware Support Not all graphic cards have a video decoder that can accelerate H.264 decoding. Because OSX only provides H.264 decoding and no other codecs, these cards cannot accelerate the decoding of any video at all. (That does not mean they cannot QE/CI) 2. Software support Your graphic card must already be set up with QE/CI running. This can be the AppleIntel****** drivers, NVDAN***/Natit/NVEnabler or AMD***. If your card is one of those unfortunate ones without QE/CI, you cannot achieve VDA at all. Examples: Intel 4500mHD, Intel HD Graphics 2000, Intel HD Graphics 2500 3. The correct version of OSX Starting point: Using 10.4 or 10.5 cuts you off VDA entirely. VDA was introduced with Snow Leopard, and I recommend you use 10.6.6 and beyond. The other part is that each OSX version has a slightly different Video Acceleration driver depending on the times of release. i.e. Snow Leopard's driver does not contain MacBookPro8,1 which was released after it, but Mountain Lion's driver has it. 4. The right SMBIOS This is the key to achieving VDA. How so? The Video Acceleration driver bases the need to accelerate based on the Mac models which contain certain VDA-approved cards, such as the NVidia GeForce 9400M or NVidia GeForce 320M. In the VDA reference document, approved cards range from certain NVidia cards, AMD Radeon HD cards and Intel HD Graphics. For the NVidia cards, I have confirmed that VDA is not restricted to the ones listed. Now to point 4: The Video Acceleration driver is not a kext, but a bundle. It is known as AppleVADriver.bundle. THE FIRST STEP TO THIS IS TO DOWNLOAD (from the App Store or otherwise) AN APP KNOWN AS MacTracker. If you have an NVIDIA (Fermi/Titan ones unknown, these are mainly the four/three digit models e.g. 9300 GE) card: You are extremely lucky. Just open up MacTracker, look for a model that has a 9400M, and simply use that SMBIOS. This works even with my desktop card 9300 GE. Examples are iMac9,1, Macbook5,1. If you have a GMA 950 or GMA X3100: These cards only contain a MPEG2 decoder which can only be used in Windows (maybe Linux). OSX only provides a framework to accelerate H.264. If you have an Intel HD Graphics 3000: The right way to use this card is to use a MacBookPro8,1, 8,2 or MacMini 5,1 or 5,2 SMBIOS. Also, stay away from Snow Leopard. Anything Intel card beyond Intel HD Graphics 3000: You should use Mavericks. Or a very updated version of Mountain Lion. Try to stay away from Lion. AMD Cards: Not sure about this at all. However, it is recommended that you use the absolute latest OSX available (10.8.5 at writing time). See below. Non-supported cards: Intel cards after X3100 and before Intel HD Graphics (Arrandale first-gen i5). For first-gen i5 HD Graphics, there is a guide on this forum about getting QE/CI and there are some framebuffer patches. The AppleVADriver.bundle also lists the MacbookPro6,1 and 6,2 that contained this cards. As H.264 decoding in dual-GPU Macs occurs on the weaker GPU, use these SMBIOSes. S3 Graphics, VIA. As I said, no QE/CI entirely negates VDA. What SMBIOSes are VDA-supported? Go Into the Info.plist of AppleVADriver.bundle (in S/L/E) and see the System Support dictionary. Then, use MacTracker and find a model that best suits your card. The cards that were dropped as OSX progressed from 10.6 to 10.9 were ones that could not decode H.264. As such, using the latest OSX possible allows for more models with supported cards to be included in AppleVADriver.bundle. Note! I do not know how AppleVADriver works and when doing this, I swopped my SMBIOS rather than add the one I was using to the Info.plist. If your model is really impossible to find, or is a newer card, as long as you have obtained QE/CI, just use one from the same brand.

Delete the original one and replace with the one inside the archive from step 1. 5 - Go to your bios and set these options (*really important ones): - Bios First boot - Pendrive * Fast boot - disabled * Windows 8/10 features - other os * Lan pxe boot option ROM - disabled Storage boot control - UEFI * Other PCI devices - UEFI - Peripherals Onboard lan Controller - enabled Intel platform thrust technology ptt - disabled * SW guard extension - software controlled USB 3.0 dac-up 2 - normal Front USB 3.0_1 - normal Intel bios guard technology - disabled * - Peripherals - USB configuration Legacy USB support - enabled * Xhci hand off - enabled * USB mass storage driver support - enabled - Peripherals - Sata and RST configuration Sata controllers - enabled Sata mode selection - AHCI * Aggressive LPM support - enabled - Chipset VT-d - disabled * Internal graphics - auto All the other options - enabled - Power Platform Power management - disabled * Ac back - always off Power on by keyboard - disabled Power on by mouse - disabled Erp - disabled Soft off by power button - instant off Power loading - auto Resume by alarm - disabled Rc6 render standby - enabled 6 - Boot your pendrive and on the Clover boot screen choose the option "Boot Mac OS Install MacOS". 7 - In the first screen choose the language and than at the top menu open the application DISK UTILITY. 8 - Select the HD where you gonna install the OS and click on ERASE button. Use these options: - Name: Any name you want - Format: Mac OS Extended (Journaled) - Scheme: GUID 9 - Click on erase and wait for the formating. 10 - Close the disk utility and back to the install follow the steps, select the HD you already formated and perform the install. 11 - After the install, DON'T remove the pendrive yet. You need it to boot the system for now. Boot from pendrive and now on the Clover boot screen choose the HD you already installed the system, "Boot from MacOS". 12 - Now you have the system on, install the latest version of Clover boot (the install pkg is inside the archive from step 1). At the “INSTALLATION TYPE” screen, click on the “CUSTOMIZE” button and check the boxes only for these options: - Install for UEFI Boot Only - Install Clover in the ESP - Bootloader -> Don’t update MBR and PBR Sectors - Themes (any you want) - Drivers64UEFI -> Fat-64 - Drivers64UEFI -> PartitionDxe-64 - Install Clover Preference Pane (optional) 13 - Click on install and finish the installation. Now you can remove your Boot Pendrive. 14 - Open the Clover Configurator and goes to the “MOUNT EFI”. At the right column theres a “EFI Partitions” box with all the EFI partitions. Look for the one of the mac and click on “MOUNT PARTITION” and then click on “OPEN PARTITION”. 15 - Inside the folder EFI there’s a folder called “CLOVER”. Repleace this folder with the one inside the “System Boot Clover Folder” which you can find in the archives you downloaded at the step 1. Just delete the original one on EFI partition and paste the other one in the same place. 16 - Run the Olarila.command inside the archives of the step 1 and wait for the “completed” message. 17 - Restart the system WITHOUT the boot pendrive. Go to the BIOS Settings and change the first option boot to the HD where u installed the MacOS. Save and reboot. 18 - Download this DMG and install the update from 10.12 to 10.12.4. THIS IS IMPORTANT! THE NVIDIA 10xx VIDEO CARD SERIES ONLY WORKS ON THIS OS VERSION! https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1910?locale=en_US 19 - Now the last step, install NVidia Driver. Download the latest version of the NVidia Web Driver and install it. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/312525-nvidia-web-driver-updates-for-macos-sierra-update-04192017/(choose the latest version for your system - 10.12.4 in this case). 20 - Download and install NVidia Cuda Drivers: http://www.nvidia.com/object/mac-driver-archive.html YOU ARE READY TO GO!!! But you can use the F12 key to go to BIOS Boot Screen and select the Windows HD to boot. It’s fine - Front panel audio ports So, resuming the system is working PERFECT! Like a charm! Everything works and the machine is CRAZY fast now! Hope it goes fine for everyone too. Cya! SCREENSHOTS:

    VGA on Hackintosh

Hi guys. My first laptop in signature has everything working, except for VGA in the HD4400. It has worked a couple of times, and when it works it does great. HDMI works perfect, though I have a big big VGA only screen Is there any way to make the VGA connection work better? Any Clover patches I could apply?

  17. This is my first install of mac, I am running snow leopard on a hp g60-635dx and followed the guide here to install. Everything during the install went fine but yet when I go to attempt to watch a youtube video I only get audio and when I try and watch a dvd I get the error "A valid video device could not be found for playback [-70017]". The only other thing not working is the HDMI port on the laptop, but that isn't as big of a deal. Any help would be great, thanks in advance.
  18. Situation: Intel CT Desktop Adapter EXPI9301CT (82574L) installed on multiple hacks (Z77X-UP5TH, X58A_UD3R, AsusP5Q). Adapters are working fine either with Hnak AppleIntelE1000e or edited Intel82574L kext. They are on separate network, W/O internet access, connected to NAS, delivering 110 Mb/s write & 111 Mb/s read ..... and that's great. However, from specific reason, I would like to have jumbo frames enabled: - MTU set to 9000, after 30 seconds connection drops off. In system preferences it says that adapter is connected and working, but it is not and I can not access any shares. - MTU set to 4000. Connection stays on, according to Blackmagic Disk Speed Test I have 115 Mb/s write but 0 read. In order to rule out errors in other network equipement I have tried: - Connecting through managed switch to 4 port link aggregated NAS (4 port Intel server adapter on Debian Linux) - Connecting directly to one port on NAS - Connecting two hacks with Intel CT Desktop Adapter directly Results are always the same as described above, so conclusion is that error is somewhere in OSX driver or some specific settings. According to older threads it looks like that some users actually have jumbo frames enabled, without any issues? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  19. If you have installed the kext PXHCD along with IOUSBFamily and IOUSBMassStorageClass modified, delete, then download the GenericUSBXHCI.. Then it is necessary that install along with the GenericUSBXHCI and IOUSBFamily and IOUSBMassStorageClass original (without modification) OS X. Install with Kext Wizard, and then repair permissions, and rebuild cache, then run this code in Terminal: sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions Has now been resolved, all is working With A Little Help From My Friends (The Beatles song ). What I did. Now for we do not have problem with power management, like this: and put DropOem> False, and P - C States > False in config.plist Generate SSDT with Pike script: curl -o ssdtPRGen.sh https://raw.github.com/Piker-Alpha/RevoBoot/clang/i386/libsaio/acpi/Tools/ssdtPRGen.sh chmod +x ssdtPRGen.sh ./ssdtPRGen.sh Why I did this? As you all know Clover generates states and turbo automatically for Ivy Bridge CPUs. but I forgot about that, and was using SSDT.aml ACPI/patched...and it was hindering, states and turbo, USB 3. as it were with duplicated codes. Look: SSDT.aml in EFI\Clover\ACPI\patched 5:629 0:003 Inserting SSDT.aml from EFI\CLOVER\ACPI\patched ... Watch this note. In all OS X systems up to and including Sandy Bridge, native power management was enabled by ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin.kext, a plugin in IOPlatformPluginFamily.kext. For Ivy Bridge processors, native power management is enabled with the X86PlatformPlugin.kext. HD3000 processors on a 7 Series motherboard should not use Ivy Bridge power management. (Toleda) To load the kext X86PlatformPlugin must use the plugin-type 1 in the SSDT, so will the correct management for Ivy Bridge. So disregard the idea of excluding "plugin-type 1" of SSDT. (As I was advised before) Check if everything is right. Open IORegistryExplorer, and check, if you use Ivy Bridge should look like this: Now if you use Sandy Bridge: Now both USBs as States and Turbo are correct, if you want to check using the AppleIntelCPUPowerManagementInfo.kext: Mar 1 15:57:57 Allans-MacBook-Pro kernel[0]: AICPUPMI: v3.3 Copyright © 2012-2014 Pike R. (35W) Note 2: I used a code to get a better GPU performance: sudo cp /System/Library/Extensions/IOPlatformPluginFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin.kext/Contents/Resources/MacBookPro8_1.plist /System/Library/Extensions/IOPlatformPluginFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin.kext/Contents/Resources/MacBookPro9_2.plist ; sudo perl -pi -e 's|MacBookPro8,1|MacBookPro9,2|g' /System/Library/Extensions/IOPlatformPluginFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin.kext/Contents/Resources/MacBookPro9_2.plist ; sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions But that changes the ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin plugin, and now that it is not used, it is no longer necessary. Note 3: Sometimes some USB 2.0 devices do not work with GenericUSBXHCI, eg Adapters microSD cards. And so for they can be mounted in OS X, use it in config.plist: <key>Arguments</key> <string>-gux_defer_usb2 -gux_no_idle</string> With all right, you can enable Hibernate mode in OS X Credits: Pernacabeluda, Mirone (Olarila) and @maleorderbride (InsanelyMac), and Slice, apianti (ProjectOSX), and Pike for ssdtPRGen. EDIT: After enable usb3.0, had problems with sleep. How unable to solve? removing _PRW of LID0 restar and, problem fixed. Now i have perfect USB3, and Sleep. Credits: Pernacabeluda (Olarila) and Oldnapalm. Fix para wake imediato após Sleep.
  20. Hey guys, I have an alienware m14xr2 with a 1366x768 lcd and an intelhd4000. I had the intel hd4000 working perfectly with the the 1366x768 original lcd that came with the laptop. I wanted to upgrade my screen to a 900P screen (1600x900). I checked both my OSX and Win7 partitions before installing the lcd and they both loaded fine. I installed the lcd into the laptop and booted into windows 7 to verify it worked fine before putting the laptop together. I verified the resolution also and windows 7 was using 1600x900. Then i tried to boot into OSX (10.8.3) and it went to the chameleon screen, then apple screen popped up. After the pinwheel stopped spinning the screen flickered and went blank. I know the system is booted because i can hear the volume changer dinging. I have also tried all the efi strings for the intel hd4000 by creating copies of my chameleon.boot.plist file and loading it through boot flags when i launch my osx system. Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening? I also cant boot into safe mode, the screen is still blank. I was thinking of removing the intelhd4000 kexts but was looking for any other suggestions before doing that. Thanks in advance, Sorry for the repost, i posted it in the hardware/graphics section and no one responded. Please guys help me out as the hd4000 was working flawlessly on the 720p screen but i wanted more resolution. Is there a device id i can edit into a plist somewhere? Maybe the .kext is still connected to the old lcd vs the new one i installed. The model number for the new one is LGD0362. These are the strings i tried. ig-platform-id: 01660000, Stolen RAM for FB: 96MB, Pipes: 3, Ports: 4, FBMem: 3 Code: <key>device-properties</key> <string>7f0000000100000001000000730000000200000002010c00d041030a000000000101060000027fff04002c0000004100410050004c002c00690067002d0070006c006100740066006f0072006d002d006900640000000800000000006601140000006800640061002d0067006600780000000d0000006f6e626f6172642d31</string> ig-platform-id: 01660001, Stolen RAM for FB: 96MB, Pipes: 3, Ports: 4, FBMem: 3 Code: <key>device-properties</key> <string>7f0000000100000001000000730000000200000002010c00d041030a000000000101060000027fff04002c0000004100410050004c002c00690067002d0070006c006100740066006f0072006d002d006900640000000800000001006601140000006800640061002d0067006600780000000d0000006f6e626f6172642d31</string> ig-platform-id: 01660002, Stolen RAM for FB: 64MB, Pipes: 3, Ports: 1, FBMem: 1 Code: <key>device-properties</key> <string>7f0000000100000001000000730000000200000002010c00d041030a000000000101060000027fff04002c0000004100410050004c002c00690067002d0070006c006100740066006f0072006d002d006900640000000800000002006601140000006800640061002d0067006600780000000d0000006f6e626f6172642d31</string> ig-platform-id: 01660003, Stolen RAM for FB: 64MB, Pipes: 2, Ports: 2, FBMem: 2 Code: <key>device-properties</key> <string>7f0000000100000001000000730000000200000002010c00d041030a000000000101060000027fff04002c0000004100410050004c002c00690067002d0070006c006100740066006f0072006d002d006900640000000800000003006601140000006800640061002d0067006600780000000d0000006f6e626f6172642d31</string> ig-platform-id: 01660004, Stolen RAM for FB: 32MB, Pipes: 3, Ports: 1, FBMem: 1 Code: <key>device-properties</key> <string>7f0000000100000001000000730000000200000002010c00d041030a000000000101060000027fff04002c0000004100410050004c002c00690067002d0070006c006100740066006f0072006d002d006900640000000800000004006601140000006800640061002d0067006600780000000d0000006f6e626f6172642d31</string> ig-platform-id: 01660008, Stolen RAM for FB: 64MB, Pipes: 3, Ports: 3, FBMem: 3 Code: <key>device-properties</key> <string>7f0000000100000001000000730000000200000002010c00d041030a000000000101060000027fff04002c0000004100410050004c002c00690067002d0070006c006100740066006f0072006d002d006900640000000800000008006601140000006800640061002d0067006600780000000d0000006f6e626f6172642d31</string> ig-platform-id: 01660009, Stolen RAM for FB: 64MB, Pipes: 3, Ports: 3, FBMem: 3 Code: <key>device-properties</key> <string>7f0000000100000001000000730000000200000002010c00d041030a000000000101060000027fff04002c0000004100410050004c002c00690067002d0070006c006100740066006f0072006d002d006900640000000800000009006601140000006800640061002d0067006600780000000d0000006f6e626f6172642d31</string> ig-platform-id: 0166000A, Stolen RAM for FB: 32MB, Pipes: 2, Ports: 3, FBMem: 2 Code: <key>device-properties</key> <string>7f0000000100000001000000730000000200000002010c00d041030a000000000101060000027fff04002c0000004100410050004c002c00690067002d0070006c006100740066006f0072006d002d00690064000000080000000a006601140000006800640061002d0067006600780000000d0000006f6e626f6172642d31</string> ig-platform-id: 0166000B, Stolen RAM for FB: 32MB, Pipes: 2, Ports: 3, FBMem: 2 Code: <key>device-properties</key> <string>7f0000000100000001000000730000000200000002010c00d041030a000000000101060000027fff04002c0000004100410050004c002c00690067002d0070006c006100740066006f0072006d002d00690064000000080000000b006601140000006800640061002d0067006600780000000d0000006f6e626f6172642d31</string>
  21. I'm getting kernel panic when trying to install El Capitan on dell xps 430, Intel Xeon x2210 and Nvidia 9600. I'm using Clover. I aslo tried booting with cpus=1 bit it didn't change anything. Here is a pic
  22. Hey guys, Normally I don't resolve to an option like opening a topic for such a common problem, but I have no choice as my headache's getting worse every second. I have gone through a lot of topics with the same problem, but with no help. I have an Asrock ION330 Pro on which I'd like to install Mountain Lion. It has the following specs: Atom 330 dualcore @ 1,6 GHz 2GB ram NVIDIA ION GPU After following this guide http://pastebin.com/Pkn7FB7z I succesfully installed Mountain Lion. I needed to use the following parameters though: -v -x -f npci=0x3000 GraphicsEnabler=Yes UseKernelCache=No Just after part 6 of the tutorial it says that I need to boot in my freshly new installed Mountain Lion OS. I boot with -v and after a while the letters go away (so no problems i guess) and my display goes all black. Nothing. The display doesn't go to sleep so it must've been getting some sort of signal. After all the topics I've looked at I think it must be because my GPU isn't supported or something. I tried booting with GraphicsEnabler=No and still no luck. What do you think the problem could be?
  23. Hello geniuses, I have scoured InsanelyMac, OSx86, and even, yes, "the site that must not be named," but I cannot find a solution within my immediate knowledge for my problem. After many tinkerings, I am finally able to get to the language selection screen (first screen in the OS X 10.8 installation process). Much to my dismay, neither my keyboard nor my mouse are responsive. If I leave the screen idle for some time (approx. 8 min) it goes blank white, but hitting the power button seems to wake it up, and I'm back at the language selection screen. I am following this guide to install Mountain Lion (OS 10.8) onto my rig. My boot function (is that the right word) is as follows: -v GraphicsEnabler=No -f My rig is as follows: Obsidian 660T Case ASRock Z77 Xtreme 4 i7 3770k 32gb RAM (4x 8gb) 2TB HDD, 256gb SSD, 128gb SSD (with Windows 8 already installed on 1 TB. My plan is to install OS X onto the 256 SSD) 2x GeForce GTX 660 ti 3gb SLI (although I've disabled them for now via BIOS, using only the onboard graphics - HDMI hooked up to the motherboard) Dedicated Sound card onboard Blu Ray burner/Reader 12x Wifi/Bluetooth Card Extremities: Monitor: 27" Samsung HDMI 1920X1080 monitor 2hz refresh rate Keyboard: SteelSeries Merc USB Wired Mouse: Razer DeathAdder I have already deleted the nVidia* files from the /Extensions folder, as well as /Caches/com.apple.kext.caches/Startup/Extensions.mkext I have tinkered around with Kext Wizard to see if I need to install a driver that is recognized at installation, but honestly cannot figure out what to correctly add. Help me InsanelyMac. You're my only hope.
  24. Hello anyone reading this, I've pretty much hit a wall, I've attempted to get a working hackintosh going and I guess i'd say i'm almost there. I've gotten it installed and can boot into to it at 1920x1080 with working ethernet. no sound or qe/ci of course This is the first time i've tried to do this and to be honest i'm confused and don't know what im doing i've been at it for about 3 days now with little sleep and have gotten no where. I've used niresh 10.8.5 distro because it was the only thing i could get to boot with my haswell processor. I have a dell inspiron 23 5348. Intel Pentium Dual Core (4th generation) 4gb of ram intel hd 4600 in depth pdf of all my specs in case theres something else that someone will need to know to assist me http://content.abt.com/documents/55615/I53484444BLK_specs.pdf i've tried some of the audio choices in multibeeps (cant type the actual name for some reason) but they didnt get me any sound. as for graphics i did try using this guide here but it didnt get me qe/ci the most i could do was get my res up https://giuliomac.wordpress.com/2014/03/03/how-to-enable-intel-hd4600-natively-on-your-hackintosh/ But yeah i would really appreciate something. I don't have the slightest clue what to do and really don't want to go back to windows. even without sound and qe/ci OS X is pretty sweet and now that i've got a taste of it I don't think i can go back easily!
