  1. Hey, I installed OS X 10.9 on my system without any issues, no bootflags whatsoever, it installed and booted just fine. My only issue is that I can't get my LAN working. I installed various drivers and I still can't get it working. My Network Card is "Realtek RTL8168/8111 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Adapter" Already tried the one from Lnx2Mac and different that I found from hackintoshosx, but nothing seems to work. What could be the issue? Thanks in advance!
  2. I have a problem, i try change the kexts of my ethernet adapter (atheros AR8151) but my system reconise as Bluetooth PAN (so i have no ethernet conection). i try remove all bluetooth kexts. disable on the bios. but northing works. before i enable the bluetooth everything works perfect. after enable. i can't get working again.
  3. Greetings to all members and viewers! I am a newbie, and completely new to the concept of mac on intel pc. However, I did have sort of a head start. Today, I succeeded in installing Snow Leopard on my PC using the ######+###### method. But well, wasn't perfect. 1. No ethernet, audio, mouse driver-tried all kexts in the ###### install 2. No wireless at all. well, that's very far I suppose I've read a little and there is a very generous guy called Maldon here, who provides a custom .dsdt file on sincere requests to keep people going. Well, I'm patient and determined to get this thing to work. Here are my specs: Lenovo Ideapad Z560. Processor: Intel Core i5-450M 4GB RAM I can't figure out what other information you will need. I somehow can't find the exact model of my motherboard. Every software says it's Lenovo Base Board. Thank you all!
  4. Patient: Intel i350 ethernet built into Supermicro X9DAi motherboard. Symptoms: constant disconnects on upload (files to FTP / sending emails w. attachments / using services like dropbox or wetransfer / browser uploads / ... ), so only restart helps. Treatment: edit info.plist of AppleIGB.kext (wherever u use it) and change the NETIF_F_TSO key under i350 dictionary to false: <key>i350</key> <dict> <key>CFBundleIdentifier</key> <string>com.insanelymac.driver.AppleIGB</string> <key>IOClass</key> <string>AppleIGB</string> <key>IOPCIMatch</key> <string>0x15218086</string> <key>IOProviderClass</key> <string>IOPCIDevice</string> <key>NETIF_F_TSO</key> <false/> </dict> Restart your machine and enjoy full power of your ethernet never ever crashing on large packet upload. --- FYI I use hnak's AppleIGB kext (5.3.5): https://sourceforge.net/projects/osx86drivers/files/Kext/Snow_or_Above/ located at CLOVER/kexts/10.10 on my system's EFI partition. --- Technical background (in Linux): https://tejparkash.wordpress.com/2010/03/06/tso-explained/ --- Fred says: thats all!
  6. Hey guys, I've been running OS X on my system for a while now, I was previously running Mavericks, and then I updated it to Yosemite, and I can not get all of my monitors to work on 10.9 or 10.10, I can get at least one every time, if I'm lucky two will work, and the third one just flat out never works. I can't understand why and I've been dealing with this for months and I'm finally posting about it, any ideas? Also, it did this no matter whether I using the web or default driver. I am running two GTX 780s *NOT in SLI*, and I do know what the deal is, any help would be appreciated, On a side note, I use the clover bootloader and I when I use the kext-dev-mode=1 flag it is supposed to register all kexts and boot with them, boot if I try to boot without injected kexts, I have no network connection, otherwise, if I boot with injected kexts it works fine, but I always have the monitor issue and I do not know what the deal with that is. For reference, I'm using an Asus Rampage IV Extreme board, other than these two issues, the OS runs great. Any ideas?
  7. I was wondering if anyone ran into this problem. Ive been trying to install 10.6 retail on my Hp Mini 110-1131DX. Obviously based on forum posts i've read WIFI isnt going to work without another card, thats fine. However, even the ethernet isnt working and I've seen reports of it working with the HP Mini110. AtherosL1cEthernet kext seemed the best route, however it still is not working. Then again, i am running it off my Macbook Pro Internet sharing since I do not currently have fast internet. Therefore i was wondering if there was a fix for this at 10.6 retail without combo updating, or will this sort it out when I apply the combo update, or will this work once I get proper internet and networking set up. i also read it worked just fine on OSX Leopard 10.5.8 However ive been having difficulties getting that installed (attempting to take this at two angles) Keeps hanging up at MAC Framework successfully initiated Using 10485 buffer headers and 4096 cluster IO buffer headers. Not sure what the issue is here, using iDeneb v1.6 Lite. Which there are no tutorials on. However with proper kexts this shouldnt be a problem. ACPI fix on this one and cpu=1 fix as found in another forum however still the same results. Ill post some of the notes about this particular HP Mini which might help. Intel GMA 950 Ethernet Atheros AR8132 Fast Ethernet DevID:1062 VenID:1969 I have the Mac Address as well which I have heard i may need to patch the UUID however i have not gotten that far, was going to try that with OSX Leopard iDeneb install Broadcom Wifi BCM 4312 (Hell i have the notes why not post it) Audio - Intel Corp. NMIO/ICH7 Dev:8086 Ven: 27d8 CPU - Intel Corp Mobile CPU N270 @ 1.60ghz 945 GSE Express Memory Controller Dev:8086 Ven:27ac Graphics Controller ven 27ae (Theres kexts for these I know of) 945 GM GMS GME, 943/940 GML Ven:27a6 Hardware: Processor - 1.67ghz L2 Cache - 512kb Mem - 2gb Bus SPeed 533 Mhz Graphics: Intel GMA Vram 64mb shared Bios Version: F.17 Thanks for the help in advance. (Side note, usb linking my iphone internet sharing to the HP Mini 110 is not working either) *edit found this here http://osxmini.wordpress.com/tag/hp-mini-sleep-fix Going to try to use an older kernel ill get back to you on that.
  8. I recently got my nForce ethernet card to work on iATKOS L2 (I copied IONetworkingFamily.kext and nForceLAN.kext from an S3 install and patched with Kext Utility). Let me explain: before, web pages wouldn't load but in System Prefs it'd tell me that I was connected, and it even gave me my LAN IP ( but it wouldn't let me connect to the router settings site, keep in mind that iATKOS L2 doesn't even advertise to have an nForce ethernet driver in the first place-- and it was really frustrating. So you can imagine how annoying it was to have the network stop working randomly (by stop working I mean it wouldn't load any web sites but it still said I was connected in System Prefs). Anyone else having the same problem? tl;dr: my nForce ethernet driver stopped connecting to the internet after a short amount of time while still telling me I was connected.
  9. Hi guys n gals, I have installed iAtkos ML2 and lion 10.7 succesfully on my comp. (asrock 4core1333 glan/m q6600 4g ram 6870) and it is stable, except for ethernet. Ethernet is acting weird. The situation is as follows. Up to and including 10.7.4, everything works 100% perfect (except sleep). Since 10.7.5, the ethernet wont work properly, and after a reboot it may or may not be working. It gets weirder. Because when it stops working, it disappears. Like, when going into windows or linux, the ethernet adapter is gone. Like it was never there. I then have to disable ethernet in bios, reboot into an os, shutdown, count till 10, cross my fingers, boot into bios, enable ethernet, and it 9/10 times works again. I have tried many kexts, and lnx2mac is most stable (no KPs). Official realtek drivers seems to work every time, but it ALWAYS gives Kernel panic either during boot, or after 5 seconds of using a web browser. So I decided to try mountain lion. To get mountain lion to actually boot, the secret was to go into the bios and enable "no no execute memory protection" (yes that is right, a double negative for some retarded reason) and than i used USBBusFix=Yes and PciRoot=1 and the sun was shining again. Mountain lion seems slightly different, because the ethernet seems to work after a few reboots automatically again without having to go into the bios 83 times and wasting a lot of time in the process. Other than that, same {censored} different day. BOTTOM LINE: Does anyone know how to get realtek 8168 (81xx) with dev id 816810ec to work in a stable fashion in 10.7.5+ ? PS: Sorry if I made you read that entire paragraph when it was really quite a simple question n00b

    Maximus VI ethernet

Hello, I am new to the hackintosh community, and I have a problem. When I boot up OSX Yosemite, my internet does not work, I am connected by ethernet. Also, I am dual booting OSX with windows, and in Windows, my ethernet cable works and my internet is working. My motherboard is a Maximus VI formula, so I am not sure which kexts to use. Thanks for the help. I am not sure if this helps, but my processor is a Intel i7-4770, my GPU is a GTX 780, and I have 16GB of RAM.
  11. Hello, i have a iDeneb 1.5.1 on my Laptop installed. Here are the questions: Grafik: I can only boot in save-mode and with an external Screen. Without the Screen, i have only a blue picture. With the external Screen, i have a distorted picture, no chance. --> please take a look on my uploadet pictures. When i boot in safe mode with screen, and remove that, after load the X-Server, the system running fine. Ethernet/WiFi: At the current installation, i forgot the Broadcom driver (or kext). I have installed that later, but that seems not loadet by boot? I look at BIOS, the Chip is activated - any ideas? Touchpad: The touchpad works very fine, but i cant scroll with them. Do you know any ways to add the scoll function? Akku: I have no akku-icon, upon, right - how i can add them? Greetings PS: im from germany, im very, very sorry for this bad enlish

    GPU and Ethernet issues

Hey everyone, I am posting (again) to see if anyone can help me figure out the issues with my hackintosh. I am currently using the Clover bootloader (UEFI), and running the latest Yosemite beta, I'll post my specs below: CPU: Intel Core i7 4960x @ 3.6 GHz No OC RAM: 64 GB Quad-channel G.Skill Ripjaws @ 1333 MHz No OC GPU: 2x EVGA GTX 780 ACX Cooler edition Mobo: Asus Rampage IV Extreme Three Asus VN247 Monitors (two on one card, one on the other) Any other information needed, just ask. I'm having issues with ethernet and my displays, even if I tell the system to boot with "kext-dev-mode=1," it refuses to load the ethernet kext it seems unless I boot with injected kexts and then it works fine. My second issue that I've had ever since I installed OS X, my monitors do not work properly, most times only one works, if I'm lucky, 2/3 of them work. The third monitor NEVER works, I'm not sure why I'm having these issues, does anyone else know? Any ideas, please let me know. Thanks. EDIT: As for the graphics issue it's like the system thinks that both cards are in the same slot because it says that both cards are in PCI Slot 0. Here's a screenshot: http://imgur.com/p9QYQ08

  15. Hi all, I installed successful ML 10.8.3 on my laptop, but Lan is not working. I've tried jmc250.kext here: http://www.osx86.net/view/3053-j_micron_jmc250_ethernet.html , Ethernet card has detected but it cannot get "MAC ADDRESS" (mac addess is ff:ff:ff:ff). Please help me
  16. I have an Asus CG5290 desktop that has a gimped Rampage II Gene motherboard. It has Realtek RTL8168C ethernet. My hackintosh was doing well until Lion 10.7.2. It could get onto the internt with nothing more than IONetworkingFamily.kext. Upon updating from 10.7.2 to 10.7.4 I lost my internet connection. I got Lnx2Mac's Realtek RTL81xx Driver to load and in the system profile it shows my Realtek LAN interface but I can't get ethernet to show up in the system settings menu. Any ideas? Oddly LAN and ethernet work in Mountain Lion with Lnx2Mac's Realtek RTL81xx Driver. I'm baffled. Maybe while installing and uninstalling kexts I mixed something up. Does anyone have a Lion 10.7.4 IONetworkingFamily.kext I can download in case I have the wrong one.
  18. I have started this thread to discuss about old and very cheap ethernet cards working in the latest macOS releases, cards who just uses old ethernet controllers or are new and cheap cards with old ethernet controllers, this thread is just to discuss about such cards and also to have a list in the first post with reported working cards with drivers linked. To contribute you have to report which card of this kind is working for you and which driver or method you followed to get it wo work and also which issues you have, and then it will be added in the list. I start reporting cards which worked for me, yours will be added in the future: intel 8255X based cards: just works using the AppleIntel8255X kext (look in the attachments) and seems to be stable with no issues And also there are some cards i am curious to see if can work with mac, so i leave this part at the end of the post, do you know if it's possible to get realtek pci (not pci express) ethernet cards working in the latest mac os? i have a few of them and i have difficulties fining drivers for mac, having a driver for the latest mac wil help me in creating also a youtube video with the cheapest hackintosh compatible ethernet cards AppleIntel8255x.kext.zip
  19. Hello everybody! Today I've installed iAtkos 10.7.2 Lion on my Acer TravelMate 5720 notebook. I marked network drivers in "Customize" menu, but when I run OS, no ethernet and also no wi-fi. Can you help me to find .kext or another solution? 21. Hi Folks, Newbie here so sorry if this in in the wrong place. I have a "mac pro" hackintosh running Yosemite 10.10.4 The mobo is a gigabyte GA-H87N-WIFI The GB website says that the two LANs are Intel® GbE LAN chip (10/100/1000 Mbit)(LAN1) and Atheros® GbE LAN chip (10/100/1000 Mbit)(LAN2) "* Teaming is not supported." (whatever the hell that means) http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4601#sp I'm trying to use the ethernet to get online but either port still gives the "ethernet not connected" error message. System report says no ethernet cards are installed. I'm not a stranger to some programming and command line stuff, but mostly in linux. I believe I need to insert a kext file to drive the onboard LANs but Im a) nervous about making sure I get the right one , and b ) don't have the first clue how or where to insert it. Any help very gratefully received Cheers
  22. Hello, I have a problem with my network. Gets disconnected apparently without any reason, just randomly, especially when downloading, but sometimes also when I'm only navigating. If I'm not wrong, ethernet model is an RTL8111/8169 (or 8168, I'm not sure...), and the kext which I'm using is the RTL81xx which is the only that works for me... I tried a lot of them. I would try to use wi-fi but I don't have the kext driver for my Linksys WMP600N. Plus, I'm too far from the router so I guess the signal would be very bad. That would be the 2nd option, in case we can not solve the above problem... Any suggestions? RealtekRTL81xx.kext.zip
  23. This is a dedicated thread about the intel 8255X based ethernet cards which, although being old (but also very cheap and easy to find used online), they still works in the latest macOS releases today i tested mine with the 64 bit compiled AppleIntel8255X kext and works like a charm! stable and withou any issues with mine 100 mbit managed ethernet switch and also without suffering of problems like connection dieing under heavy load or sleep/wake issues, so just to report that i have create this dedicated thread about and also i leave the kext as an attachment, in this post, this may be usefoul to have cheap working ethernet for hackintosh machines running the latest macOS or just to reuse old hardware some one can have laying around.
