2. Here's my buildOS: 10.13.6CPU: i7-8700kMB: MSI Z370i Gaming Carbon ACRAM: 16 GB DDR4 Crucial BallistixMy internet chipset is Intel I219-V Gigabit LAN controller and I am using version 2.4.0d0 of IntelMausiEthernet.kext.I am paying for gigabit down speeds but I am not getting on my hackingtosh. My windows work CPU gets speeds up to 900mb/s but my hackintosh tops out at around 490-510mb/s. It's been like this on 10.13 and 10.13.6. Both machines are not using wi-fi when testing speed, they are both going straight into my router.Anybody else have this issue?
3. Hey guys, I have a ridiculously convoluted issue. Take a seat. I am trying to use Logic Pro X on a 2012 Mac Mini I have, but I currently have Snow Leopard OS X 10.6.8, and will need to update to Sierra 10.12. However, I realize I need to update to a newer OS such as El Capitan in order to be able to update to Sierra. Except I cannot sign into the App Store. I am greeted with an error message along the lines of "this computer or device cannot be verified." So I did some digging and it seems to be because my Ethernet port and Wifi don't work. I use a USB Wifi adapter to get around this but now it seems like I finally have to fix it for good so I can get into the App Store to get these updates I need. In System Preferences > Network, I do not see Ethernet or Wifi listed. Only my USB Wifi Adapter and Firewire. In System Profiler > Hardware > Ethernet Cards, it says, "This computer does not appear to have any PCI Ethernet cards installed." I'm pulling my hair out over here to get Logic Pro X on this computer, that's all that I really want, and that's all I want this computer to do. If you can help, God bless your soul.
4. Have managed to boot into Finder without a usb but cannot see the outside world. Could you please help me to enable Marvell 80E8056 ethernet access on 10.9.5 13F34 ?
5. This is a dedicated thread about the intel 8255X based ethernet cards which, although being old (but also very cheap and easy to find used online), they still works in the latest macOS releases today i tested mine with the 64 bit compiled AppleIntel8255X kext and works like a charm! stable and withou any issues with mine 100 mbit managed ethernet switch and also without suffering of problems like connection dieing under heavy load or sleep/wake issues, so just to report that i have create this dedicated thread about and also i leave the kext as an attachment, in this post, this may be usefoul to have cheap working ethernet for hackintosh machines running the latest macOS or just to reuse old hardware some one can have laying around. AppleIntel8255x.kext.zip
6. I have started this thread to discuss about old and very cheap ethernet cards working in the latest macOS releases, cards who just uses old ethernet controllers or are new and cheap cards with old ethernet controllers, this thread is just to discuss about such cards and also to have a list in the first post with reported working cards with drivers linked. To contribute you have to report which card of this kind is working for you and which driver or method you followed to get it wo work and also which issues you have, and then it will be added in the list. I start reporting cards which worked for me, yours will be added in the future: intel 8255X based cards: just works using the AppleIntel8255X kext (look in the attachments) and seems to be stable with no issues And also there are some cards i am curious to see if can work with mac, so i leave this part at the end of the post, do you know if it's possible to get realtek pci (not pci express) ethernet cards working in the latest mac os? i have a few of them and i have difficulties fining drivers for mac, having a driver for the latest mac wil help me in creating also a youtube video with the cheapest hackintosh compatible ethernet cards AppleIntel8255x.kext.zip
7. Hello, I am currently using El Capitan with an Asus Maximus II Formula, but the mainboard has a weird bug that the system freezes when im using the built in ethernet ports. (not only in macos, also in linux and windows) ... so i was using a USB Dongle wich worked fine, but the performance (USB2) was not the best. Now i want to add a ethernet-card to the system. Is there a cheap, and simple to install (maybe native?) PCIe Ethernet Networkcard that can be recommended? thank you greets

11. Hello, After reading the FAQ on tonymacx86 and doing a successful install of MacOS Sierra on my HP laptop, I tried to get the ethernet working. I installed the RealtekRTL8100.kext from mieze (from the FAQ). It recognises the ethernet cable but there is no connection to the internet. I've read every forum post with the same ethernet card and people that have the same problem. And I installed some other kexts but those didn't work at all. Name: Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller Hardware id: PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8136&SUBSYS_8099103C&REV_0A It should be a RTL8101e. I've a dual boot with Windows 10 and everything is working fine there. Can someone please help me? I attached my files, look at "problem report" at the bottom of the page. files.zip
12. Patient: Intel i350 ethernet built into Supermicro X9DAi motherboard. Symptoms: constant disconnects on upload (files to FTP / sending emails w. attachments / using services like dropbox or wetransfer / browser uploads / ... ), so only restart helps. Treatment: edit info.plist of AppleIGB.kext (wherever u use it) and change the NETIF_F_TSO key under i350 dictionary to false: <key>i350</key> <dict> <key>CFBundleIdentifier</key> <string>com.insanelymac.driver.AppleIGB</string> <key>IOClass</key> <string>AppleIGB</string> <key>IOPCIMatch</key> <string>0x15218086</string> <key>IOProviderClass</key> <string>IOPCIDevice</string> <key>NETIF_F_TSO</key> <false/> </dict> Restart your machine and enjoy full power of your ethernet never ever crashing on large packet upload. --- FYI I use hnak's AppleIGB kext (5.3.5): https://sourceforge.net/projects/osx86drivers/files/Kext/Snow_or_Above/ located at CLOVER/kexts/10.10 on my system's EFI partition. --- Technical background (in Linux): https://tejparkash.wordpress.com/2010/03/06/tso-explained/ --- Fred says: thats all!
13. Hi Folks, Newbie here so sorry if this in in the wrong place. I have a "mac pro" hackintosh running Yosemite 10.10.4 The mobo is a gigabyte GA-H87N-WIFI The GB website says that the two LANs are Intel® GbE LAN chip (10/100/1000 Mbit)(LAN1) and Atheros® GbE LAN chip (10/100/1000 Mbit)(LAN2) "* Teaming is not supported." (whatever the hell that means) http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4601#sp I'm trying to use the ethernet to get online but either port still gives the "ethernet not connected" error message. System report says no ethernet cards are installed. I'm not a stranger to some programming and command line stuff, but mostly in linux. I believe I need to insert a kext file to drive the onboard LANs but Im a) nervous about making sure I get the right one , and b ) don't have the first clue how or where to insert it. Any help very gratefully received Cheers
14. Hello, I have a problem with my network. Gets disconnected apparently without any reason, just randomly, especially when downloading, but sometimes also when I'm only navigating. If I'm not wrong, ethernet model is an RTL8111/8169 (or 8168, I'm not sure...), and the kext which I'm using is the RTL81xx which is the only that works for me... I tried a lot of them. I would try to use wi-fi but I don't have the kext driver for my Linksys WMP600N. Plus, I'm too far from the router so I guess the signal would be very bad. That would be the 2nd option, in case we can not solve the above problem... Any suggestions? RealtekRTL81xx.kext.zip

Maximus VI ethernet

Hello, I am new to the hackintosh community, and I have a problem. When I boot up OSX Yosemite, my internet does not work, I am connected by ethernet. Also, I am dual booting OSX with windows, and in Windows, my ethernet cable works and my internet is working. My motherboard is a Maximus VI formula, so I am not sure which kexts to use. Thanks for the help. I am not sure if this helps, but my processor is a Intel i7-4770, my GPU is a GTX 780, and I have 16GB of RAM.

21. Hi, I have a Gigabyte GA-x79-UD5 mainboard, running ML 10.8.5 and a problem to get ethernet up and running. In System Preferences nothing shows up, the ethernet controller is not recognized. However, if I boot up in safe mode, it is there and working. I installed the hnak AppleIntelE1000e.kext with ##### (several versions from 5.2.1 to 5.5.5) several times, then removed the IONetworkingFamily.kext from S/L/E and installed the untouched version from my ##### stick, reinstalled the hnak AppleIntelE1000e.kext, and still nothing. I also deleted the networkinterfaces.plist and preferences.plist from Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration. To no avail. I'm at my wits end and would appreciate some help so much. Thanks!

GPU and Ethernet issues

Hey everyone, I am posting (again) to see if anyone can help me figure out the issues with my hackintosh. I am currently using the Clover bootloader (UEFI), and running the latest Yosemite beta, I'll post my specs below: CPU: Intel Core i7 4960x @ 3.6 GHz No OC RAM: 64 GB Quad-channel G.Skill Ripjaws @ 1333 MHz No OC GPU: 2x EVGA GTX 780 ACX Cooler edition Mobo: Asus Rampage IV Extreme Three Asus VN247 Monitors (two on one card, one on the other) Any other information needed, just ask. I'm having issues with ethernet and my displays, even if I tell the system to boot with "kext-dev-mode=1," it refuses to load the ethernet kext it seems unless I boot with injected kexts and then it works fine. My second issue that I've had ever since I installed OS X, my monitors do not work properly, most times only one works, if I'm lucky, 2/3 of them work. The third monitor NEVER works, I'm not sure why I'm having these issues, does anyone else know? Any ideas, please let me know. Thanks. EDIT: As for the graphics issue it's like the system thinks that both cards are in the same slot because it says that both cards are in PCI Slot 0. Here's a screenshot: http://imgur.com/p9QYQ08
23. Hey guys, I've been running OS X on my system for a while now, I was previously running Mavericks, and then I updated it to Yosemite, and I can not get all of my monitors to work on 10.9 or 10.10, I can get at least one every time, if I'm lucky two will work, and the third one just flat out never works. I can't understand why and I've been dealing with this for months and I'm finally posting about it, any ideas? Also, it did this no matter whether I using the web or default driver. I am running two GTX 780s *NOT in SLI*, and I do know what the deal is, any help would be appreciated, On a side note, I use the clover bootloader and I when I use the kext-dev-mode=1 flag it is supposed to register all kexts and boot with them, boot if I try to boot without injected kexts, I have no network connection, otherwise, if I boot with injected kexts it works fine, but I always have the monitor issue and I do not know what the deal with that is. For reference, I'm using an Asus Rampage IV Extreme board, other than these two issues, the OS runs great. Any ideas?
24. Boa noite pessoal. Portatil: Insys m761su CPU: T3400 RAM: 4GB Grafica geforce 9300M GS
