1. Hi All, I've got my Hack working beautifully with the following setup: ASRock X99 Extreme4 i7-5820k GTX 750Ti Clover 2.3 r3333 OSX 10.11.3 NVidia web driver 346.03.05f01 It works *really* well. Got audio (both HDMI/DP and ALC1150), got power states, got turbo, got USB, probably have other things working I've forgotten about. But no sleep/wake. To be specific, sleep appears to work. It takes maybe 20 seconds but the real Mac right next to it takes almost as long. Power consumption drops to ~3W at that point. Wake is where it all goes wrong. System will wake via keyboard or mouse click (and I think by power button). However within a second, I hear a "click" that's generally associated with a full reset, and the system proceeds to reboot. All of this happens in the dark -- nothing bothers to turn on the display until the OS has finished loading. A very few times (and maybe none since swapping monitors from DVI to DP - unrelated to this) I've gotten some visible output before the reboot. Sample attached here. One more note; this same hardware handles sleep/wake flawlessly under Linux and Windows 10. I've done tons of searching (and found a few similar issues but none on X99) and tried numerous Clover settings and some DSDT tweaks but without any luck. It does seem like a DSDT issue but to be honest, that's just a hunch. Any suggestions of what to try next would be most appreciated. It's so close to "perfect" that I'm kind of obsessed with having sleep/wake working. Oh, if anyone else is trying to make progress with an X99 Extreme4, I'm happy to share what's worked for me. There don't seem to be a lot of folks trying to run OSX on this board. Cheers, Allen
2. Hi folks! I run El Capitan on VB by guide on this forum. Everything works great, but I'd like to do 2 more modifications and I'll be very thankful if you helped me... 1. Adding serials to SMBIOS The main reason I run virtualisation of OSX is that I want to code apps with Xcode - Xcode wants you tu sign in with your Apple ID to sign apps. I've read that in virtualisation, there are no serials/information in SMBIOS, so "Apple" device can't be verified, which outcome is you to unable to login. I found something about Clover and Clover Configurator. I even tried that, but there were just many errors and problem wasn't solved. Can someone give me step-by-step instructions how to do this? 2. Custom screen resolution I think this'll be simpler than 1. but I couldn't find any exact guide. I managed to change resolution by VBoxManage setextradata "El Capitan" VBoxInternal2/EfiGopMode N, but I'd like to have 16:9 res (1920x1080). Is there any way to do it?
3. UPDATE: Managed to make Apple Store work for the first time ever! I installed IntelMausiEthernet.kext first so it can be assigned to "en0", then I installed my USB WIFI dongle(Brand: Netis. Chipset: Realtek RTL8192CU8). Tried to patch AppleHDA.kext for my ALC892. I can see 4 outputs and 2 input. Only one input works. Everything else doesn't work. I'm still working on it. Hello, everyone! For those who were having problems installing OS X El Capitan on X99A SLI Plus with Core i7 5820K Haswell-E, here's how I fixed it: First of all, I used the RAW USB image from this link: (thepiratebay is down at the moment, just go to thepiratebay.com and it will redirect to the current domain they're using, then type 'el capitan intel pcs' and download the most seeded file you find at the top of the results.) The thing about this image is that it can be installed via Windows using Win32 Disk Imager, for those who want to install OS X for the first time or their OS X got damaged and it cannot be recovered. I used a version of FakeSMC.kext(see attachments) I found by chance, and I replaced the other FakeSMC.kext stored in the USB EFI partition via Windows. (EFI/CLOVER/Kexts/10.11/) In addition to that, I removed Voodoo PS2 controller kext--just to be safe--because I've been having KPs because of it since 2009 on OS X Tiger, Leopard and Snow Leopard. For boot args, I used: -v npci=0x2000 I also enabled Haswell-E patch. If I don't replace FakeSMC.kext with the one attached, I get a KP concerning CPUSensors.kext plugin which can be found inside FakeSMC.kext. I hope this helps. (Posting this from OS X El Capitan) FakeSMC.kext.zip
4. hey i just create bootable el capitan using clover uefi and it can't boot, it just stuck in here.. i dunno how to fix this, please help me.. specs : i5 6500, biostar h110mh pro d4, ddr4 8GB single chanel, intel hd 530. serial port disable, vt-d disable, but still no go.
5. Does anyone have an idea of how to get audio working for El Capitan on a Gigabyte ga-g31m-es2l rev. 1.1 . Sound has been working on this board since snow leopard, but I can not quite figure out what the problem is now?
6. I know this is kind of broad, but if I build a workstation that's well supported on High Sierra now, how likely is it to still work well with the next major OSx release next fall? If you had to guess, what % chance do I have of encountering major issues when trying to update next fall? The kinds of issues that would seriously interfere with my day to day work of photo and video editing? For example, kext/kernel panics (is that even a thing still?) or major pieces of hardware suddenly not being supported, and so on... Has migrating your Hackintosh to the latest release has gotten easier in recent years? So for those of you who have been making builds for a while, is going from Sierra to High Sierra causing you fewer problems than Mavericks --> Yosemite for example or Yosemite --> El Capitan etc? Sorry if this is a bit broad and ignorant, but I've been away from the forums for quite a while and just trying to get a sense of how "stable" and "future-proof" Hackintoshes are these days - compared to Apple's own desktops ... I'm OK not updating incrementally ie v13.1 to v13.2 if I need to, but I'm worried about having to start completely from scratch with each new main version.
7. I have installed El Capitan on my y510p laptop using Clover. followed this thread Actually everything worked quite well. The time when everything ready, even keep switch windows and mac os also no problem. Then eventually I going back to my windows 10 and did my stuff. In the next day, when I want to boot into Mac OS, then problem come (WHAT? the last boot was just perfect! Why so sudden?) I couldn't boot into my Mac OS. It gave me infinite spinning ball after logging in. OK, fine, I reformatted it. I reinstalled everything and even EFI partition. Everythings worked well again. Then I used back my windows 10 and did my stuff. The next day, SAME THING HAPPENED. I reinstalled everything again. This time I reinstalled both my windows 10 and Mac OS. Wow, Worked well. Then the next day, stucking at apple logo. Above are my reformat processes. Now I'm going to explain my debugging about this. I tried to boot in verbose mode, safe mode. I tried to use disk utility to repair my disk. What I got is "disk could not verified" DiskWarrior expensive, so I used MacDrive 10, tried to repair the disk. Couldn't repair and get "internal result 8". So what should I do, it could not even stand over one night. Is my windows break Mac OS partition? EFI breaks Mac OS partition? Clover break Mac os partition? Hardware problem? but my windows works perfectly. PLEASE help me.
8. Hi, guys. I’m facing a problem with a wifi/bluetooth combo card. I bought this PCI-e 1X adapter and a BCM943224PCIEBT2 (BCM43224) card, which is a common module on Macbook Air models from 2010 up to 2012. The items were bought separately, and when they both arrived I installed on a PCIe slot of my machine running OSX 10.11.5 (El Capitan) and connected the mandatory micro usb port of the module on a USB port on the back of my Gigabyte motherboard using the provided cable. The wifi is fully recognised and works effortlessly and though the bluetooth module is present on the Preferences Pane and on OSX menu bar, it simply doesn’t recognise my Magic Trackpad and Magic Keyboard (they both are recognised by my Macbook Pro). I tried to make it recognise something else (an AirTracks bluetooth headphone), but it was to no avail. Strangely, there is a unknown device which appears on the bluetooth panel which I have no idea what it is (it is not mine for sure, it could be from a neighbour or it simply could be an error, since it doesn’t recognise my Apple devices which are in front of it). This unknown device is shown with the Magic Mouse icon, but it doesn’t connect too and it is not shown on the Magic Mouse portion of the Pref Pane. I installed Sierra and Mavericks on a separate partition to verify if it was not simply an El Capitan issue, but it worked the same way on both: wifi fully working, bluetooth present on Preferences Panel, but nothing is recognised. I’m already providing the System Information screenshots showing the wifi, bluetooth and USB Hub info for you to check what is possibly wrong here. My setup is made of an Intel i7 4770 on a Gigabyte Z97M-D3H with 16Gb of ram (2x8 HyperX modules) and OSX installed on a SanDisk SDSSDA240G. I’m using Intel onboard graphics. Can you guys help solve this issue? Thanks a lot!
9. Hey all, I recently got my hackintosh working on this setup: Asus x99 Deluxe II 5930k GTX 780 Ti I learned a TON of information from "the other forum." Specifically a user wrote a great guide for setting up a similar motherboard, an Asus X99 Rampage V Extreme. I thank him so much for writing that up! I had tried countless guides for both 10.11 and 10.10 before his. Not sure if these scores are good or bad - do the attached HWMonitor look ok? Geekbench Scores 64-bit -- Single 3641 -- Multi 20796 32-bit -- Single 3300 -- Multi 18864 Cinebench R15 OpenGL -- 110.88 CPU -- 1037 cb (watching that render is beautiful) I did not use a USB stick to boot from for the initial install. I used the SSD that would eventually go into the hackintosh and mounted it to my MacBook Pro with a SATA to USB3 converter. Once it was mounted I went to my applications folder and and ran Install OS X El Capitan.app. I set the target drive as the USB mounted SSD. Set up went through its process and within 30 minutes my MacBook Pro was able to boot from the USB mounted SSD. Once booted from the USB mounted SSD while on my MacBook Pro, I used a USB stick to transfer the following applications to the SSD - Clover Configurator, EFI Mounter v3, IORegistryExplorer, KCPM Utility Pro, Kext Utility, ShowHiddenFiles. All of these were needed at some point to follow the guide. I currently have completed: Bootloader and NVRAM Fundamental kexts Create SSDT and DSDT Enable Graphics Hardware Acceleration for unsupported nVIDIA GPU So far here are some things that work: Sound output from speakers in DisplayPort monitor Audio over DisplayPort works after sleep GTX 780 Ti with nvda_dvr=1 and "NVIDIA Web Driver" as opposed to OS X Default USB 2.0 WiFi mostly works, but sometimes it slows down to 28.8k speeds And some things that don't work: GTX 780 Ti fans always at 100% speed, wow that is loud HWMonitor shows the GPU clock rates at 324 MHz core and 648 Mhz, reference speeds are 837/1502 And things I don't know about yet, still need to set up and install - Am I missing any thing here? - first hack Ethernet - my board has both the Intel I218V and I211-AT controllers according to the Asus spec page. This is a desktop obviously, so I really need to get this working USB 3.0 USB 3.1 via Asus add in card, seen a few guides but this is low priority Need to confirm that all P and C states for the 5930k work correctly, unsure how to accomplish Analog audio out both front and back panels So far I think my first hack has gone well, or maybe I am just lucky!
10. Hi everyone, I have 3 working OS X's on my ASUS Z10PE-D8 WS Dual Xeon build. That is: ElCapitan & Sierra (both working flawlessly apart from audio, but HDA works, so thats fine) and now recently I installed Yosemite (bit laggy and sometimes hangs during boot with an IOUSBFamily error of BUS 14 already in use??). All three work with Clover however, which is great as they're all on a single drive. The reason I installed Yosemite is because I bought a fusionIO card, for which the driver support stopped at Yosemite. In ElCapitan I get unresolved symbols/dependencies errors and the driver wouldn't load. I (and even SanDisk themselves) don't know if they will be supporting ElCapitan and later OS's, which is annoying. I know source code is available from SanDisk but I am not sure how much the source code needs changing before it can be recompiled for the 15.0 Darwin/XNU Kernel if this is at all possible? I am by no means a rootkit developer, so I wouldn't know if this is even a feasible route/starting point? If this is somehow possible it would mean I can ditch Yosemite again, which would be great as it runs laggy and Ethernet seems to be recognised but doesn't connect with self-assigned IP, so would be better if I could make it work on my smooth OS's (i.e. ElCapitan and later). If the above is too complicated or not possible at all without putting in some serious work and having an advanced techy brain...Is there a way to make it work on Yosemite? Do I need to come up with a custom injector kext and use FakePCIID to get the card recognised properly? Any help with this would be much appreciated. Thanks guys! And thanks for this great Forum!
11. I am yet to fully undertake the setup as outlined in; http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/312364-guide-el-capitan-on-asrock-x99e-itxac-using-a-5960x/ should i be aware of any changes which need to be made in reference to my hardware? i.e. broadwell-e instead of haswell-e? thanks.
12. I can very easily get 10.11 to install and start on my computer (Intel i7-4770, GA-Z87X-UD3H). Expectedly, my audio is not working, so I installed the ALC898 driver in the Clover guide and restarted my computer. This is where the issues start. Installing the audio driver broke my internet, connected through the ethernet port on the back of my computer. I couldn't test the audio driver because iTunes didn't play any audio file (clicking play changed the button to pause, but it never started playing). I went back into the Clover post-install and installed a network driver for my mobo. I rebooted, and my computer hangs on the NTFS initialization. There is no error; just it saying that NTFS couldn't mount.

El Capitan on AMD FX CPU?

hi, how to install El Capitan on an AMD system? I found an AMD Kernel here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/top...pic/?p=2195566 but it already fails on install. My system: ASRock 970 Extreme3 R2.0 Legacy Boot AMD FX4300 16GB RAM GIGABYTE NVidia GTX 750 Ti El Capitan Installer on USB Drive, attatched to USB 2.0 Port, Clover Bootloader Booting installer with -v results in one line "+++++++++++++++++++++++", then rebooting without any message. Do i need the AMD kernel to run installer? I didn't know where to put the kernel on install media, as there is no /System/Library/Kernels on the installer media.

mac pro geforce 8800 GTS

Been a while since me and a pal managed to turn a couple of dell mini 9s into leopard netbooks and then kill them with 10.5.8 and thus it's so good to see there is still a thriving community here ... hoping you can help me Does anyone know if your group's nvidia webdriver updater will successfully flash the ROM in the non-approved (by Apple!) 8800 GTS (the GT was approved, but not the GTS) - so it will work in a mac pro 3,1 with El Capitan ? (by 'work' I mean 100% fully work - not just login screen but all boot screen options) May seem an odd thing to do but amongst my other projects keeping this behemoth (3,1 intel xeon 8 core 8GB RAM 2008/9) mac pro with bootcamp running as something more than just a home NAS (4x4TB drives in the bays) and file server is high up my list and I am never going to be able to stump up the cash for an apple $$$ approved card Things I think I know, but suspect some folk here will have found a way around or know better; 1) without flashing, I will never get the options at boot, or be able to see SUDO or recovery options 2) I can use screen sharing / VNC viewer / Vine to remote into the mac at the login screen, and use startup disk prefs to switch between bootcamp and OSX, but not OSX DVDs on an external DVD over USB 3) I have been pointed at netkas but they seem to be down currently ... and when last up appear to be focused on flashing just the high end newer PC gaming cards (1GB VRAM and up) - this 8800 GTS is just a 320mb) Any info will be much appreciated, hate binning kit like this .... cheers Andy
15. Hello, On my Asus M51AC, I have Windows 10 and El Capitan installed on my 840 Evo SSD with Clover. I can boot in El Capitan perfectly, but if I use the Windows entry from clover, then it boots normally even if I hibernated. As I use hibernation (in Windows) very often, if I want to boot on Windows, I need to enter the BIOS to choose the standard Windows Boot Manager EFI entry in the boot menu list. Is there something special to do with the Windows entry in the config.plist file to make it work with hibernation? Thanks
16. Hi, Im having some trouble installing El Capitan on my mackintosh. Every time i boot into mac using a 8gb usb drive(Motherboard usb 2.0 port), the progression bar will finish at the end of the bar but never proceed to the installation. Specs: Gigabyte z87-D3H motherboard Intel integrated graphics i5-4460 CPU 8gb RAM My steps for installing el capitan: 1)Install ########## (sorry but i have to use it, Chimera doesn't support El Capitan!) with UEFI boot mode 2)Make sure i have the correct bios setting(adhi, no vt-d) 3)boot from usb 4)select "boot mac os from usb" 5)get stuck at apple logo screen I've tried -v, -x(didn't work at all), graphicsEnabler, PCIRootUID. And none of them worked. Sorry I'm a big noob and this is my first time installing Mac OS x. Thanks a lot guys. without any boot flags. with -v with -x
17. Hi My system is a dell optiplex 980 with an i5 and it runs 10.10 really well - I use chameleon as the bootloader and i have tried many steps to get 10.11 going but the installer will never go past 'Still waiting for root device.'I am pretty convinced this old motherboard is USB2 based and from my reading it seems this error is likely to be USB related but i cant figure out how to proceed. I am using a USB installer with enoch chameleon to boot this. I do not use a DSDT and in 10.10 all hardware appears to work pretty natively. Any clues to help me proceed?
18. Hi everyone, I managed to create a Clover Legacy UEFI bootloader USB key with a patched DSDT and SSDT. It seems to be running just fine right now (as I am typing this). On the actual system volume, I am booting with Chameleon, so I am using the USB to test. I have the system running on a 2302 Patched Bios, and power management seems to be working as far as the Intel Power Gadget is showing me. Essentially, everything is working except for audio (no need, I have a wireless USB headset I use for that anyways). I am having trouble trying to get it to work with just a UEFI bootloader, and not a legacy one. I would like to go to full UEFI mode if possible to streamline future updates and whatnot, and just to generally have a cleaner more vanilla install of the entire system. Anyways. Whenever I boot using the Legacy USB i get a "boot" message, then it shows "5" (that is the resolution profile it is selecting), and then it says "welcome to clover" and proceeds to show the disk launcher screen where I can select my volume to boot from. Whenever I boot using the UEFI USB i get no message at all, it goes straight to a black screen with a FLASHING cursor on the top left. I proceeded to copy CLOVERX64.EFI to the root of the EFI volume and rename it to SHELLX64.EFI as instructed by some guides on this specific mobo. When booting using that, I get a black screen with a SOLID cursor on the top left (and what seems like an odd resolution that it is being displayed at, as well). It never progresses from that point, and does not show the volume selection menu. I was wondering if it is at all possible to get the Asus P8P67 Deluxe Rev B3.0 @ 2302 patched bios (confirmed patched bios is working) with UEFI only. The 2302 bios does not have CSM or any option to do UEFI/Legacy Hybrid or UEFI only booting- so I cannot turn those off/change them.
19. I have a working Niresh Yosemite 10.10.5 install on my PC with Clover UEFI as the bootloader. I'd like to update it to El Capitan if possible. I've tried to do it through the Install El Capitan update app as I heard that it works as long as you have Clover. The program worked fine but when I try to boot into the Installer through Clover, I get the black Apple screen (without loading bar) followed by a black screen with a circle and a slash through it. I booted in verbose and got a message saying something about it not being able to boot. Any suggestions or other ways to upgrade to El Capitan? Build: i7 3770 EVGA GTX 760 SC Acer Aspire MC605 OEM Motherboard 500GB HDD 8GB RAM
20. Introduction This guide should work for all HP Pavilion 15 Broadwell(5th gen) laptops. I used AB205TX. This is my first guide so please use comment section if I missed something. I have used Andres Zero Cross' guide and made changes to make it work for us. My Specifications Processor: i5 5200u Graphics: HD5500 and GT940m Display: 15.6" 1920x1080 Ram: 8Gb DDR3L Dual Booted with Windows 10 What’s not working: 1. Built-in WiFi (Can't! Obviously, use an external adapter) 2. GT 940m (MacOSX doesn’t support Nvidia optimus.) Prerequisites: 1. A Mac/Hackintosh/VM for making the install usb. 2. A pendrive 8GB or more. 3. Clover Configurator installed on machine you will use for making the install usb. Getting the Bios ready: 1. Disable virtualisation. 2. Disable Secure Boot. 3. Enable Legacy Mode. Use clover r3330. Nvram problems have been reported in some of the latest versions. I recommend version r3330 because it worked just fine for me. Making Install USB: RehabMan made a very detailed guide (mentioned below) on how to install clover on usb. While following his(did I just assume his gender? ) guide keep the following things in mind: The guide: https://www.tonymacx...-clover.148093/ 1.Follow the UEFI way and 2 partition method (not necessary but recommended) 2.When installing clover on "Clover Efi"partition use the following configuration - Install for UEFI booting Only - Install Clover in the ESP - For Drivers64UEFI (DataHubDxe-64, EmuVariableUefi-64, OsxAptioFixDrv-64, PartitonDxe-64) then click Install. Open Config.plist at your EFI Partition of USB Installer (EFI/Clover/) with Clover Configurator and match these use nv_disable only if you have a nvidia card with Intel HD using optimus technology. Note: In the below snap my MLB is not there. You will have one already filled, let it be and don't delete it. -Go to Clover EFI > EFI > Clover > Kexts > other > and paste FakeSMC.kext and VoodooPS2controller.kext in attachments. Delete rest of the kexts in the folder. Now, just boot from your USB and install. Installing Clover on HDD: 1.Install Clover on your hard disk and check - Install RC scripts on target volume - Install all RC Scripts on all other bootable volume - Optional RC Scripts 2.Mount EFI partition of USB Installer copy the Clover folder to EFI partition of your hard disk, thus replacing the Clover folder of your hard disk. I have attached my Post-Install Clover files in case you have hp pavilion 15 ab205tx or you need to see my config.plist My dsdt and ssdts should work for you if you have the same machine. Just copy the clover folder to your efi partition and update your bios to F.82 Rev.A from HP website. If you are using my clover folder as it is you probably don't need to apply any of these patches below as they are already enabled in my config.plist. Fixing Graphics: Open config.plist at your EFI/CLOVER/ on your hard drive with Clover Configurator and write these patches in "kextToPatch" at "Kernel and Kext Patches" - Name=AppleIntelBDWGraphicsFramebuffer, Find=4139C4763E, Replace=4139C4EB3E, Comment=“Unlocking framebuffer" - Name=AppleIntelBDWGraphicsFramebuffer, Find=39CF763C, Replace=39CF773C (Add this with the one above only If the above patch doesn't work alone) To activate HDMI Audio: - Name=AppleIntelBDWGraphicsFramebuffer, Find=02000001050B00000400000705000002040B00000400000705, Replace=02000001050B00000800000705000002040B00000400000705, Comment=“HDMI audio Fix" Now go to Graphics Section and in “ig-platforms-id" type 0x16260006 In the Boot you can uncheck verbose and kext-dev-mode=1 Open EFI partition on your HDD go to EFI > Clover > kexts > other > and delete all the kexts in it and replace them by ApplePS2SmartTouchPad.kext and FakeSMC.kext Fixing Audio For audio : https://redd.it/4e23w6 for ab205tx it is ALC290. I used Layout ID: 3 Reboot, now you have QE/CI for Intel HD 5500, Audio and Touchpad with gestures working. Fixing Performance: 1. Open up the config.plist of your HDD and choose a suitable SMBIOS. Generally its the one with similar processor. I used Macbook Pro(12,1). Follow this guide: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-how-to-configure-your-systems-smbios-correctly.198155/ 2. You will need to enable Native power management to get the most performance out of your machine. Follow this Guide: https://www.tonymacx...laptops.175801/ Fixing Battery: 1. After you have enabled Native Power Management you can disable Nvidia card for OSX to get more battery backup as the card draws power even though it is not supported on os x. Follow this guide: https://www.tonymacx...laptops.163772/ Note: after disabling Nvidia you can boot without nv_disable=1 and remember to drop oem ssdt after patching your own. 2. To get a working battery status follow this guide: https://www.tonymacx...-status.116102/ Hotkeys: Volume and music hotkeys should work out of the box for us. Brightness hotkeys however don't. You need to do some patching to get them working like volume keys but, that's too much work for something such small. To make them work just go to syetem prefs>keyboard>shortcut and change brightness shortcuts to fn+f2 and fn+f3 depending on your machine. Now you have brightness keys working just press fn and then the keys to change brightness. Fixing Internet/AppStore/iMessage/Facetime: I use External USB adapter to connect to Wifi. Note: Use latest wifi driver for the USB adapter(the cd included with the adapter often has outdated drivers). Old drivers caused kernel panics for me. If USB wifi adapters are costly in your country or ones from good brands aren't available you can use Leoxsys usb wifi adapters which were the only ones that worked for me among all the cheap Chinese products I could find. You might notice that you are unable to sign into you Apple Id in AppStore and iMessage. This is because Apple collects some data while you sign in which we provide using our SMBIOS but that's not enough. We need ethernet set en0 and most importantly it should be shown as builtin, which is not possible for us as our ethernet/Wifi cards aren't supported. RehabMan came up with an excellent way to solve the problem. He faked ethernet device that shows up as onboard ethernet, this is possible by adding a device in DSDT. Solution: https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-Null-Ethernet Sync time between windows and mac: If you are dual booting like me, you may find that windows or osx shows incorrect time. for that follow this guide: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/298027-guide-aio-guides-for-hackintosh/?do=findComment&comment=2020591 Credits: Hackintosh community and all those whose guides I linked. 21. Hello, I have a splendid working machine with annoying hiccups... meaning, everything its working, and it is quite fast. Mostly I use it for video editing in Final Cut Pro X and After Effects. I carefully selected the mix in order to be optimized for FinalCut and Video editing and processing. I had a small hindsight about the XFX possible difficulties... but after sometime of trying different options, It is working (flashing bios method). I upgraded to EL CAPITAN about 2 months from now, and got wifi card enabled and working (before I was using ethernet cable mostly)... Everything goes well and smooth, and at times it hangs, and sometimes shut down, and stays in a reestarting loop (2 or 3 times loop max) and stays fine for some other time until it hangs again or freezes... and again same thing... I NEED HELP !!! I require a reliable, robust, and stable machine!... can any of you experts give me a hand on this! Thank you in advance...
22. I got the install working, but the wifi, touchpad, and built-in keyboard doesn't work. The sound, optical drive, and usb work fine. P.S. The Logitech M325c mouse works in El Capitan. I attached a file listing my hardware specs below. hardware specs.txt
23. Hi Friends, I have setup almost everything on my poweredge T20 hackintosh, so far all works, except for my 4k hdtv, the tv works great under windows with 4k@60hz and chroma 444 but on El Capitan all the text on the screen looks like {censored}. hard for the eyes, you know... I have a GTX 750ti with the latest web drivers from nvidia 346.03.04f02 as of today. I also use a Displayport to hdmi converter (yes it supports 60hz) from club-3d and a hdmi 2.0 cable, like I said, everything works great under winblows the monitor is a Sony x830c43 I also installed switchresx to try to get the right setting done but I am stocked, I don't know what to do, I know I need RGB444 and would like to have 4k@60hz and be able to read. thanx

25. Hi guys, I am helping a close friend of mine build a Hackintosh with the intention of partitioning a 250GB Samsung EVO SSD in order to dual boot Windows 10. Let me preface by saying I have built multiple computers in the past but have never attempted to install OS X on a PC. I would seriously appreciate any help you guys could give. We finished the build last night and started to install OSX El Capitan 10.11.14, but were unable to move past the grey apple logo with empty progress bar after choosing the boot item. Steps we took: 1. Used a 32 GB flash drive to create a boot disk using the ##### application. This involved going into disk utility, erasing the drive (having OS X Extended (journaled) and GUID partition map selected), ran the ##### application (selecting El Capitan, UEFI boot mode, and inject Nvidia --also tried without this setting), and finally copied both clover configurator and ##### onto the flashdrive. 2. Went into bios and changed the following settings: a. Loaded default settings b. Set USB as 1st bootable device c. Made sure Vt-d and CFG lock options were disabled d. Disabled secure boot e. Note: We couldn't find an operating system option in order to change Windows to "Other OS". I'm assuming this option does not exist in this BIOS? 3. Saved BIOS changes and reset, then pressed F8 to go into the boot menu 4. Selected UEFI USB and then selected "external" on the following menu This is the point where the apple logo and the empty progress bar appeared. We tried various combinations of the above steps but we always got stuck with the apple logo and empty progress bar. I'm not currently at home but I can't get this problem out of my head. I will answer any questions as soon as possible and I will try what you suggest when I get home from work later today. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!
