  1. Olá! Instalei o El Capitan no meu notebook Lenovo g400s. Tudo correu normalmente durante a instalação, o único problema que encontrei foi de vídeo. O sistema só está reconhecendo 4MB da intel HD 4000 (não é só visual. O sistema está lento). Como posso corrigir isso? Estou usando o clover como bootloader.   2. salve a tutti, due giorni fa ho deciso di aggiornare il pc e di passare da yosemite a El Capitan... solo che ora mi non mi funzionano più audio (ALC892), bluetooth e USB3... Avendo un DSDT funzionante e il file di clover "config.plist" penso configurato correttamente, ho deciso di effettuare l'aggiornamento diretto da Yosemite, supponendo che quest'ultimi funzionassero anche su El Capitan... Ma mi sbagliavo... Per poter risolvere i problemi di audio ho usato il tool aggiornato di toleda... ma non ha funzionato... mi spiego meglio... se ottengo le informazioni di sistema da resoconto di sistema... l'audio viene rilevato ma non si attivano i dispositivi cioè se clicco su suono da pannello di controllo... i dispositivi di uscita audio nn spuntano... Per quanto riguarda il bluetooth ho caricato il kext IOath3kfrmwr.kext nella cartella 10.11 della EFI di clover... e viene rilevato come dispositivo USB... e non bluetooth... Ho provato anche a riparare i permessi e a ricostruire la cache di sistema... ma nnt... Non capisco se sia un problema di DSDT... o se il problema sia nel file di config.plist... allego dunque il file config.plist e il DSDT sperando che mi possiate aiutare xD config + dsdt.zip Audio.tiff Bluetooth.tiff

PCI-E to Sata = Bafo PCI-e to 2 Sata3 and 2 e-Sata 6. PCI to USB 2.0 - NEC Chipset 7. Main Harddisk Harddisk : Fujitsu SSD 120GB + Seagate 500GB that plug into Bafo PCIe to Sata3 8. Other Harddisk : Natno SSD 12GB, 2x Seagate 2TB, Seagate 500GB, all of it are plug into onboard Sata Chipset Controller (But Unknow at El Capitan / 10th Intel Chipset) 9. RAM : Team 3000Mhz 8GB (2x4GB) 10. Display : Asus VN248H 11. Clover version : 3280 My Step : 1. Because Internal Sata Chipset and USB 3.0 are not supported yet, so i clone my Fujitsu 120GB SSD from my Hacbook Asus X455LA that already installed El Capitan Build 15B30a with Carbon Copy Cloner 2. I use MacPro 6.1 as SMBIOS and use FakeCPUIID of Intel 4790k (0x0306C3) 3. Remove CPUSensor.kext from "FakeSMC.kext/Contents/Plugins" if you don't do this it will be stuck at ACPI log verbose. 4. I try boot from USB that already install Clover 3280 and it boot. I use "-v nv_disable=1 dart=0" 5. Then at desktop, i install nvidia web driver 346.03.02F02 (before that you need to modif it,, use pkgutil --expand bla bla ba,, google it and change required os to "15B" then use pkgutl --flatten bla bla to repackage) then i change info plist from AppleGraphicsControl.kext/Contents/Plugin/AppleGraphicsDevicePolicy.kext/Contents/info.plist and change line that contain board-id of MacPro 6.1 from Config2 to none 6. Then i install that kext,, and restart 7. i use "-v dart=0 nvda_drv=1 and it will need more time than usual to get login form,, yeah i did it. But there is some bugs Bugs : 1. Internal sata is not function 2. USB 3.0 is error too,, at verbose i see "error mantisa log" 3. Sometimes my system get freeze for a few seconds. Hi everyone, I managed to install El Capitan on my Dell Poweredge T20 (xeon 1225 v3 haswell) , everything is working except for the built-in video, and by not working I mean the QE/CI and no kext are loading for drivers. I am a newbie on the hackintosh scene, I am impressed that I got this far I know that there are some people in the community that have managed to inject the right code to enable the intel graphics, One more thing, I am using a 4K HDTV chroma 4:4:4 and I also have a Club3D Displayport 1.2 to HDMI 2.0 with a new hdmi 2.0 cable that supports 4k and yadayada. I get video, I can see everything, but when I scroll down or up on the browser then things start to break down. The screen starts to {censored} out, also I can't change the resolution from 1920 x 1080 and I believe the system thinks I am using a Projector as my monitor or that the monitor is connected on a secondary port here are some screenshots attached This is the system thinking I am using a projector This is screen resolution that can't be changed This is the Hardware ID's for the HD P4600 Plase help me figure this out, Thank you

  6. Hi. I have had a stable X99 build running for a year. Build with the help of rampagedev's guide. This has been a super-smooth build, performing well in the range of video editing, sound record, gaming, streaming, and day to day use. The only thing not working has been overclocking. Multiple reports online indicates that certain UD4 boards has a fault with turning anything related to overclock from Auto to Manual (you don't even have to change any values), causes a boot failure. Because of this I was about to RMA my board and go for a X99-A, but trying that just caused a lot of USB problems. I was relieved when Gigabyte released a new BIOS update: the F22h, focusing on overclock. This update indeed fixes the overclock issue, but creates a whole new set of issues. Kernel-panic, random reboots, and USB problems. Nothing else was changed. Most of the time boot just failed with kernel panic. At one time I got it to boot, but I experienced random reboots, the mac freezing when using some USB equipment such as the Elgato Game Capture HD60 and so on. Downgraded to the previous BIOS version and voila, everything working as before. Does anyone else with a UD4 experience these problems with the new update? I really want it to work so I can start overclocking, but I need a stable setup. What sort of logs do I need to provide in order for anyone to help me troubleshoot this problem? As a start I attached the config file, replacing the ROM, MLB, Board Serial Number, Serial Number and SmUUID with X's. All of these values have been extracted from a real mac Build: X99-UD4 5820K GTX 980ti 32GB Balistix 2400MHz OS: OS X 10.11.5 SMBIOS: MacPro 6.1 SSDT: SSDT from rampagedev's X99.dmg (change gfx0 to gfx1 to fix black screen) Kexts: ACPISensors AppleIntelE1000e CPUSensors FakeSMC GPUSensors LPCSensors NullCPUPowerManagement VoodooTSCSync Thank you! -Kristoffer config.plist.zip
  7. After upgrading to El Capitan (since PB1), I haven't managed to get sleep and wake working properly. It will go to sleep normally, but when I wake it up (using either the keyboard/mouse or the power button), and neither the display, usb or graphics will work. Ethernet works, since I can access my iTunes library using the Remote app on iOS. Sleep/wake worked perfectly in Yosemite. I use a GA-Z77x-UP5 TH, i7 3770K, and an AMD 6850 on an OCZ SSD. Can anyone help? I'll attach my config.plist and DSDT. DSDT_CONFIG.zip
  8. Hi guys Sorry if this is a stupid question, i'm new with clover... I reed in this site that i can generate a dump file to later compile my DSDT.AML "Extracting your native/clean DSDT using Clover F4 If you press F4 at the main Clover bootloader screen, Clover will write your native files to EFI/Clover/ACPI/origin. There is no feedback when you press F4, so don't expect anything to "happen" when you press the key. Also, keep in mind that some BIOS implementations (newer computers) tend to reverse the Fn+F1..F12 and F1..F12 keys, so be sure you're pressing the correct key combination to generate F4." I wonder if a do this ok. I boot my hackintosh, then when i get the boot menu i press F4 ? and ok it's say that there is no feedback , i wait a couple of minutes hit enter, the mac boot. And nothing I go to the EFI folder in the root of my boot disk (is the location right ? is ok?) open all the sub folders... nothing all "origin" folders EMPTY.   9. Run OS X El Capitan on a Dell Latitude E6320 This tutorial will describe the steps to install OS X El Capitan on a Dell Latitude E6320 i5 2520M. If you find any mistakes or have something to improve then please send me a PM and i will update the tutorial. A special thanks goes to Brian from Tech Erra, Jake Lo from OSX Latitude.com and Morpheousman for using parts of their tutorial I am from The Netherlands so sorry for my bad English. 1. Credits/Sources Everything OSx86-related is a collaborative effort amongst people who enjoy doing these things, as well as those of us who enjoy tweaking and experimenting with things. Below are a list of sources used to compile this guide: Tech Erra OSX86 Wiki InsanelyMac Forum member Jake Lo from OSX Latitude.com for helping me out with installing Morpheousman and Polyzargon from Insanelymac who helping me with my other topics. (Dell 780) MacPeet, Chris1111 and all other forum members who helping out the community. 2. Requirements Here are the requirements: A Dell Latitude E6320 i5 2520M – This is necessary to install OS X El Capitan for this tutorial A copy of Mac OS X – This can be in the form of an existing hackintosh, a virtual machine within Windows or Linux, or even a regular Mac. If you don’t have any of these things, then find someone who can help you out for a while. I prefer using a hackintosh with OS X Yosemite. Using an already working copy of Mac OS X either in a VM or a native hackintosh install is HIGHLY recommended. A 8GB USB flash drive (or larger) – We’ll be copying the files to the drive appropriately, so make sure that you have a flash drive with enough storage space (8GB or larger). A copy of OS X El Capitan – The method used by this guide requires that you have a copy of the OS X El Capitan Installation app, wich is available for free from the Mac App Store. 30-60 minutes of time – Depending on how tech-savvy you are, this may be quick, or it may take a while. An SSD or HDD to install 10.9 to – For me, I used a 250GB partition to install 10.9 to. An Wireless N Nano USB Adaptor – For use with wifi Highly recommended. I use a TP-LINK TL-WN725N adaptor. E6320.zip – This ZIP file contains everything that you need to get your flash drive properly prepared. 3. My Specs My installation was successfully done on an Dell Latitude E6320 i5 2520M Laptop computer with the following specs. NOTE: A Wireless N Nano USB Adaptor is recommended to use the full potential of OS Mavericks because the on board wifi doesn't work. - Intel Core i5-2520M @ 2.5GHz, 3MB cache, Dual Core - 4GB DDR3 1333Mhz RAM - Western Digital 250GB HDD - INTEL HD3000 Video - Intel 825xx onboard network - Bluetooth radio onboard (works OOB) - IDT 92HDxxx HD audio onboard - TL-WN725N Wireless N Nano USB Adaptor - Apple Magic Trackpad (only @home) - Apple Wireless Keyboard US (only @home) - Apple Magic Mouse 4. Download OS X El Capitan Start OS X Yosemite on a exsisting Mac or Hackintosh, to prepare your USB Flash drive. Make sure to backup the files that are already on your USB Flash drive thru disk Utility in Mac OS X. Open Mac App Store. Login with your Apple ID. Download OS X El Capitan Done! The application INSTALL OS X El Capitan will appear in /Applications. 5. Prepare Bootable USB Installer Now, we need to prepare the USB Drive so that it will properly bootup on your PC. I recommend using Chris1111'S app for creating your USB Installer. It is a great timesaver! Download App Here[/url Follow the instructions in the first Post for creating USB Installer. Select Installer OS X El Capitan and Install in ESP (see image below) Select Install. This step may take some time, good time to get a drink. After App is finished, you will see a EFI Partition of USB installer on your desktop. Open EFI Partition, then open EFI folder, copy and paste the Clover folder from the zip file, to the EFI folder, choose replace folder. Download the latest version of Clover Bootloader and copy it to the root of your USB installer. USB Installer is Done! 6. Bios Settings Dell Latitude E6320 Before we boot from the Dell Latitude we need to optimize the bios for OS X El Capitan. Start your Dell Latitude and press F2 to get into the Bios. In the main screen click on "Load Defaults", the bios will be reset to default settings. Go to General - Boot Sequence and choose on the right for USB Device and click the up arrow so that the USB Device is on top, click on apply to make the setting. Go then to System Configuration - SATA Operation and choose on the right for AHCI click again on apply and choose exit, now the Bios is ready for installing OS X El Capitan. 7. Installing OS X El Capitan from your USB drive Time for the fun stuff! We’ll now boot from your USB drive and install OS X El Capitan onto the Hard Drive. Using a USB 4G flash drive will help things out quite a bit. Power on unit while tapping F12 Key to choose boot device, select USB device. When Clover boot screen is visible, choose boot "Mac OS X from El Capitan USB Installer". The system will then boot into OS X installer For a new installation of OS X, you must erase and format the destination drive according to the following steps before continuing. If you are upgrading from Lion, Mountain Lion, Mavericks or Yosemite and you want to keep your files and apps, skip steps a-j. A. Choose Disk Utility B. Highlight your target drive for El Capitan installation in the left column. C. Click Partition tab D. Click Current and choose 1Partition E. Click Options.... F. Choose GUID Partition Table. G. Under name: Type El Capitan (you can change it later if desired). H. Under Format: Choose Mac OS Extended (Journaled). I. Click Apply the Partition. J. Close Disk Utility. When the installer asks you where to install, choose El Capitan Hard Drive. Upon completion, system will restart a 1st time. Press F12 key to choose the boot device. When the Clover Boot screen is visible, Choose your El Capitan Hard Drive. You will eventually get to the setup screens for OS X El Capitan. Go through the setup process to setup OS X El Capitan. Choose at "How do i connect to the internet " ..."My Computer Does Not Connect to the Internet", we will fix this later, go further with the setup process. The setup process will take about 3 minutes. Done! 8. Adjust some settings in OS X 10.11 Once in 10.11 go to finder – preferences – General and choose in "show these items on the desktop" for Hard Disk External Disk CD Go also to System Preferences – Security& Privacy click on the lock icon in the lower left corner and type your password. Choose by “Allow applications downloaded from": click on "Anywhere" Close system preferences. 9. Installing The Clover Bootloader on Your Hackintosh The following instructions may appear a bit oversimplified, but we are trying to keep it simple for first-time Clover Bootloaders users. Copy the Clover Installer from the root of your El Capitan USB Installer to your desktop. Open Clover Package installer. Hit Continue, Continue, Change Install Location... Choose your HD, now called El Capitan and press Continue (see images below) Hit Customize and install clover with the following Custom Install settings (see images below) After installation of the Clover Bootloader, the EFI Partition of your El Capitan Hard Drive should be mounted on your desktop. Copy the Clover folder from the zip file into your El Capitan EFI Partition > EFI Folder. Make sure to choose to Replace the Clover folder. In Tools Folder of the zip file, Open Clover Configurator. Click File, Open File and select config.plist in EFI/EFI/Clover. Click on SMBIOS in left side pane and create your new SMBIOS (iMac 8.1) with Random Serial Number. Close Clover Configurator and save changes. Finished! Now remove the USB Installer and reboot into OS X El Capitan. 10. Install Wlan driver for the TL-WN725N The wireless lan on the Dell E6320 doesn’t work, therefore I use a Wireless N USB Nano Adaptor from TP-LINK. The software is straight forward and installs without problems, the only thing is that after login the wireless app starts up and you have must close it every time, therefore I have made a script to launch the program after login and close it after 5 seconds. For installing the driver go to the folder “E6320 – Wlan_TP-LINK”. Launch the Installer.pkg and install the software, after install you will get the message to restart. Choose restart to restart you laptop. After restart the software will start the Wireless App. Choose you desired network and add it to your profile. Now we can install the login script. Go to “System Preferences – Users & Groups”, go to tab Login Items. Choose the + sign and browse to the folder “Install_E6320 - Wlan_TP-LINK” and choose “Wireless App2”. Close System Preferences. 11. iMessage & FaceTime Fix You will need MLB and Rom numbers from a legit Mac device that is onthe mac server. Run iMessage debug on a iMac, Macbook, etc and make a copy and paste of the Terminal output. Open Clover Configurator. Mount EFI Partition. Import config.plist from EFI/EFI/Clover (File , import configuration, browse to config.plist and select). In Clover Configurator Click on RT Variables, Enter Rom and MLB Values from iMessage output from valid iMac device. Save changes to config.plist. Reboot, Sign into iMessage iMessage and FacTime should now both be working. 12. What's working? Just about everything. 13. Finished! You’ve successfully installed OS X El Capitan onto your Dell Latitude E6320. TROUBLESHOOTING 14. BOOT 0 ERROR If you are using a 4k HDD you can get boot:0 error, to solve this issue do the following Reboot system back into El Capitan installer (USB)FLASH DRIVE). Run Disk Utility find the Disk Identifier (eg. disk0s2). Unmount the drive you installed Mavericks on Launch Terminal and execute the following command: dd if=/usr/standalone/i386/boot1h of=/dev/disk0s2 . Exit Terminal Boot Normally 15. 16 Message "attempted to boot into EFI while legacy is on". Sometimes the above message will appear after formatting HDD and installing OS X. Reboot system back into El Capitan installer (USB)FLASH DRIVE). Run Terminal. Launch Terminal and execute the following command: sudo diskutil corestorage revert / When prompt type your password. Exit Terminal Boot with your USB to El Capitan Launch Terminal again and execute the following command to format EFI partition: sudo newfs_msdos -V EFI -F 32 /dev/rdisk0s1 After that install Clover to your HDD see chapter 10 "Installing The Clover Bootloader on Your Hackintosh" Done ! run os x el capitan 10.11 E6320.pdf

  11. I have installed El Capitan on my y510p laptop using Clover. followed this thread Actually everything worked quite well. The time when everything ready, even keep switch windows and mac os also no problem. Then eventually I going back to my windows 10 and did my stuff. In the next day, when I want to boot into Mac OS, then problem come (WHAT? the last boot was just perfect! Why so sudden?) I couldn't boot into my Mac OS. It gave me infinite spinning ball after logging in. OK, fine, I reformatted it. I reinstalled everything and even EFI partition. Everythings worked well again. Then I used back my windows 10 and did my stuff. The next day, SAME THING HAPPENED. I reinstalled everything again. This time I reinstalled both my windows 10 and Mac OS. Wow, Worked well. Then the next day, stucking at apple logo. Above are my reformat processes. Now I'm going to explain my debugging about this. I tried to boot in verbose mode, safe mode. I tried to use disk utility to repair my disk. What I got is "disk could not verified" DiskWarrior expensive, so I used MacDrive 10, tried to repair the disk. Couldn't repair and get "internal result 8". So what should I do, it could not even stand over one night. Is my windows break Mac OS partition? EFI breaks Mac OS partition? Clover break Mac os partition? Hardware problem? but my windows works perfectly. PLEASE help me.

    Internal Mic CX20590

    Hello! I can't get my internal mic to work in a Lenovo G470 with CX20590 audio chipset. I used Mirone's AppleHDA Patcher to get speaker and both jacks working but this tricky mic won't do any good. I already calculated my codec verbs and pathmaps thinking it could be a specific problem from my laptop but they were the same as generated by patcher. Internal mic pathmap should be 20 - 23 - 26 as you can see in codec_dump with audio selector 24 and audio input 21 also associated but not used by the internal mic. Already tried different combinations to see if I managed to fix it. Instead, All I hear is some cracking noise output when recording and glitchy sound detection from sound pref panel. I already checked command verbs and tried both Patcher and mine. Both works for everything except Internal Mic. I have no clue what could be. Hi Friends, I have setup almost everything on my poweredge T20 hackintosh, so far all works, except for my 4k hdtv, the tv works great under windows with 4k@60hz and chroma 444 but on El Capitan all the text on the screen looks like {censored}. hard for the eyes, you know... I have a GTX 750ti with the latest web drivers from nvidia 346.03.04f02 as of today. I also use a Displayport to hdmi converter (yes it supports 60hz) from club-3d and a hdmi 2.0 cable, like I said, everything works great under winblows the monitor is a Sony x830c43 I also installed switchresx to try to get the right setting done but I am stocked, I don't know what to do, I know I need RGB444 and would like to have 4k@60hz and be able to read. thanx
  14. Hello, I have a splendid working machine with annoying hiccups... meaning, everything its working, and it is quite fast. Mostly I use it for video editing in Final Cut Pro X and After Effects. I carefully selected the mix in order to be optimized for FinalCut and Video editing and processing. I had a small hindsight about the XFX possible difficulties... but after sometime of trying different options, It is working (flashing bios method). I upgraded to EL CAPITAN about 2 months from now, and got wifi card enabled and working (before I was using ethernet cable mostly)... Everything goes well and smooth, and at times it hangs, and sometimes shut down, and stays in a reestarting loop (2 or 3 times loop max) and stays fine for some other time until it hangs again or freezes... and again same thing... I NEED HELP !!! I require a reliable, robust, and stable machine!... can any of you experts give me a hand on this! Thank you in advance...
  15. Hello everyone, i want to ask something about kernel panic. I got this kernel panic after i tried to install clover bootloader on my HDD (MBR type, el capitan installed with MBR patch). Here's the picture of it: Before, i always use usb to boot into my el capitan, because whenever i tried to install clover on my HDD it always got error. And somehow last time i try to install clover r3330 on my HDD it got succeed , so i restart my el capitan. Ever since I installed OS X El Capitan on my machine, I've been getting a very odd problem where the Wi-Fi connectivity dies out after a random amount minutes of watching Netflix or YouTube. Once, it took two hours for this to happen, but the day after, it took two minutes. So far, the only way I've found to fix the problem is by restarting the router which takes a couple of minutes and disconnects the whole house. My wireless card is a TP-Link N900 which has worked without this error before. Also note, that I am a victim of the ATHR: unknown locale: 21 error, but I have applied the working fix. The machine is running OS X El Capitan 10.11.4, but I just updated and am testing the problem.   18. Hi folks! I run El Capitan on VB by guide on this forum. Everything works great, but I'd like to do 2 more modifications and I'll be very thankful if you helped me... 1. Adding serials to SMBIOS The main reason I run virtualisation of OSX is that I want to code apps with Xcode - Xcode wants you tu sign in with your Apple ID to sign apps. I've read that in virtualisation, there are no serials/information in SMBIOS, so "Apple" device can't be verified, which outcome is you to unable to login. I found something about Clover and Clover Configurator. I even tried that, but there were just many errors and problem wasn't solved. Can someone give me step-by-step instructions how to do this? 2. Custom screen resolution I think this'll be simpler than 1. but I couldn't find any exact guide. I managed to change resolution by VBoxManage setextradata "El Capitan" VBoxInternal2/EfiGopMode N, but I'd like to have 16:9 res (1920x1080). Is there any way to do it?
  19. Hello Everyone, I'm new to hackintoshing, I have set my hackintosh up clearly in my Sony Vaio SFV15219SA as I've seen that the native Bluetooth and WIFI aren't going to work. So I bought a USB Wifi TP-LINK WN727N V4 with Chipset MTK7610U (RT2860) but I couldn't make it work. Methods I've come up with are : -BearExtender but wirelessutility is not showing after keeping on clicking. -installing a RT2870USBWirelessDriver.kext using kext wizard or kext utility -Dlink DWA 140 Wireless utility is not showing any driver -Edited the info.plist of the Kext file to get my vendor ID and hardware id to work but with no luck. Any help here? rather than that the whole OS is working perfectly.

Trying to install El Capitan on my first ever "Hackintosh" Specs are: ASUS Maximus VII Formula Z97, Intel Core i7-4790k, 16GB G.Skill Ripjaws RAM, MSI Lightning GTX 770 2GB, 1050 Watt EVGA GS PSU, NZXT H440 Case I have made a USB Drive with Terminal (createinstallmedia) of El Capitan on an 8GB Flash Drive which was SUCCESSFUL. I am prepared to install Clover Bootloader but am overwhelmed by the options. Can anyone give me any advice on what options to select under "Customize" for my specific build? I heard I need a DSDT.aml file? How do I make one of those for my build? Also, based on my specs, what kexts and Boot Args would you guys recommend to help me get to the installer and post install?   21. Hey all, I recently got my hackintosh working on this setup: Asus x99 Deluxe II 5930k GTX 780 Ti I learned a TON of information from "the other forum." Specifically a user wrote a great guide for setting up a similar motherboard, an Asus X99 Rampage V Extreme. I thank him so much for writing that up! I had tried countless guides for both 10.11 and 10.10 before his. Not sure if these scores are good or bad - do the attached HWMonitor look ok? Geekbench Scores 64-bit -- Single 3641 -- Multi 20796 32-bit -- Single 3300 -- Multi 18864 Cinebench R15 OpenGL -- 110.88 CPU -- 1037 cb (watching that render is beautiful) I did not use a USB stick to boot from for the initial install. I used the SSD that would eventually go into the hackintosh and mounted it to my MacBook Pro with a SATA to USB3 converter. Once it was mounted I went to my applications folder and and ran Install OS X El Capitan.app. I set the target drive as the USB mounted SSD. Set up went through its process and within 30 minutes my MacBook Pro was able to boot from the USB mounted SSD. Once booted from the USB mounted SSD while on my MacBook Pro, I used a USB stick to transfer the following applications to the SSD - Clover Configurator, EFI Mounter v3, IORegistryExplorer, KCPM Utility Pro, Kext Utility, ShowHiddenFiles. All of these were needed at some point to follow the guide. I currently have completed: Bootloader and NVRAM Fundamental kexts Create SSDT and DSDT Enable Graphics Hardware Acceleration for unsupported nVIDIA GPU​ So far here are some things that work: Sound output from speakers in DisplayPort monitor Audio over DisplayPort works after sleep GTX 780 Ti with nvda_dvr=1 and "NVIDIA Web Driver" as opposed to OS X Default USB 2.0 WiFi mostly works, but sometimes it slows down to 28.8k speeds And some things that don't work: GTX 780 Ti fans always at 100% speed, wow that is loud HWMonitor shows the GPU clock rates at 324 MHz core and 648 Mhz, reference speeds are 837/1502 And things I don't know about yet, still need to set up and install - Am I missing any thing here? - first hack Ethernet - my board has both the Intel I218V and I211-AT controllers according to the Asus spec page. This is a desktop obviously, so I really need to get this working USB 3.0 USB 3.1 via Asus add in card, seen a few guides but this is low priority Need to confirm that all P and C states for the 5930k work correctly, unsure how to accomplish Analog audio out both front and back panels So far I think my first hack has gone well, or maybe I am just lucky!

    After leaving my machine sleeping for at least 5h it reboots with no sign of failure or panics. I upgraded directly from the appstore and everything installed with pretty much no trouble at all, but once the installation completed and I get to the point where I should be just booting to the drive where El Cap was just installed too but no matter what I try I get a kernel panic "unable to find driver for this platform: \"ACPI\".../IOPlatformExpert.cpp:1665" A quick google search shows that this is not an uncommon KP, but the most common causes are a bad DSDT file which I'm not using at all, and to uncheck one of the fixes in the config.plist file for clover. I've tried both the config.plist I was using on Yosemite which did have a few fixes selected, as well as a new config.plist I used when booting to the El Cap installer which removed all of them. I did look in S/L/E and I do not have a kext for "IOPlatformExpert" so I'm not sure if maybe that's all I'm missing or not.. Running a Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3 with most recent UEFI bios (clover was installed UEFI) along with a PNY NVIDIA GeForce GT 640 1 GB video card. Thanks to anyone who can help!
