  1. Hi, good day. I Used 2 years ago hackintosh distros for AMD users but no an AMD El Capitan Distro. Anyone know a El Capitan Distro for AMD FX user o a method of installation on windows, i don't have a Mac My System Information: Windows 10 x64 CPU: AMD FX 6300 GPU: XFX Radeon HD 6850 1GB RAM: Kingston 8GB DDR3-1600 SSD: SanDisk x110 128GB Motherboard: Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 ¡Thank You!
  2. I finally installed el capitan. My computer has only usb 2.0 on the motherboard and a usb 3.0 pci-e add-on card (In Windows it is recognized as Renesans Nec µPD720202). Both usb 2.0 and 3.0 port were working in Yosemite. Now, on El Capitan, usb 2.0 ports are working, but the usb 3.0 ports on the usb card are not. They are recognized and even the external drive, plugged in the usb 3.0 is recognized but it does't show up. I tried some other usb devices but they don't work too...

  4. Hi Guys, I'm trying to install El Capitan on the following system: Processor: Intel Core i7 2600 Motherboard: Asus P8H77-M Storage: 120GB Samsung 840 Evo SSD / 500GB Seagate 7200RPM HDD Wireless: Asus PCE-AC66 PCI-E Wireless Card Graphics: Asus GTX 660 Ti DCII OC Edition I've managed to get graphics working okay previously, as well as WiFi, to some extent. My main problem is with the motherboard - I couldn't get USB 3 to work, or sleep, or speedstep, all features that I was under the impression DSDT patches and/or BIOS patches (both things I'm happy with doing if someone could help a little... please!) I'm not keen on using a patch that disables power management entirely, I'd rather use one that adds support, if that's possible. I only use Windows for the odd game when I'm not working, so transitioning to Mac OS X, with some degree of stability, is what I'm looking to do. Thank you in advance
  6. I have been searching high and low for a buyer's guide of sorts to purchase a laptop to install El Capitan on. Most of the guides I have seen are already too old and don’t include the best options for El Capitan. Or are they the same as they were for Yosemite? So dear Insanely Mac users, if you could go out and buy a laptop to install El Capitan on that would be the closest thing to an OOB experience, which laptop would you buy? I know, I know, it won't be perfect, but what would be the closet one? Thanks!
  7. Hi guys I just finish to upgrade my hackinthosh to El Capitan with clover. 8. Hi All, I did a hackintosh long ago and I've decided to try it again. Everything is working great thanks to this build http://www.tonymacx86.com/golden-builds/130386-i7-4930k-asus-rampage-iv-extreme-32gb-ram-gtx-770-4gb-success.html as my hardware is very similar. The only problem I'm having is that my audio settings using the Midi Tool (to get 5.1 audio) is not saving and the output completely disappears on reboot. It also defaults back to digital audio out. I'm quite happy to provide any kexts or plists you might need! Anyone have any ideas? I hope its something simple as I'm really happy with how its working!
  9. Hey everyone, wouldn't it be a good idea (especially for beginners), if we collect compatible mainboards in a special thread (like this )? What to look for: Boards that have no USB issues OOB or need a fix. But in the end just work. Why? People (like me) tried every possible solution or guide offered around the net without success. I would (and I'm pretty sure others would too) consider switching my setup, if I knew for sure, that a particular board would just work. There are people in different forums saying their motherboards ran OOB.

Grazie in anticipo!
  12. El capitan is hanging often when i do simple tasks, such as opening chrome or finder (anything where a window i click something in opens). The spinning wheel pops up and the window stays frozen (if its a video, it stays stuck on the frame where the spinning wheel began, etc) until i click a random spot outside the window, such as clicking the desktop. Console gives lines about "gpu driver appears to be hung" ,and other issues about " failed to composit for descriptor". Is this an el cap thing, or something with my clover settings? I have a 280x gpu that was working perfect on YOS.
  13. I have one Hard Drive with 2 partitions. El Capitan on 1 partition and and Windows 10 on 2nd partition and both sides function perfect. Problem is when I boot the machine, it boots to Windows (see pic below) "not Clover" asking me which operating system to choose Mac or Windows. When I choose MacOSX from Windows (pic below) it quickly reboots then launches Clover. When I choose Windows all is well. While technically it works, I would like Clover to handle the booting of OS not Windows. I installed the mac side first VIA Clover and then Windows 10 on the 2nd partition. I have attached a picture

  15. Hey guys! I'm planning on also doing a triple boot hackintosh with a Skylake system. I want to install the OSs on a 512 M.2 NVMe SSD. Any suggestions as to the order of install? I know people have said that order doesn't matter but what order do you guys think would be the easiest? Right now I'm thinking the order would be Windows 10, Ubuntu, El Capitan. Additionally what partition table should I use? Also, I think I should make the 3 partitions for the OSs before installing with an additional partition for swap/grub or something of the sort to manage the booting up (4 total partitions). Thoughts?
  16. Hey guys... Im new at the hackingtosh world so please bear with me . So I finally got my hackingtosh kinda working.... The problem im Having is that when I try to boot into mac os x with bootflag nv_driver=1 I get the monitor off and black screen when mac os is loading , the only way I can get into the OS is by using nv_disable=1. I already downloaded the web drivers and if I manually chose them on nvidia driver manager It ask me to reboot with no effect on the problem. I already tried changing "config2" to "none" thing..... I think part of the problem is that the hackingtosh is detecting my graphic card as NVIDIA Chip Model 7 MB The guide I follow was this one.. ######.. I used a virtual machine to get the usb using ######., then I use clover as boot loader and ######. for post this is My hardware: gigabyte H170 Gaming 3 Skylake i5 16 gb 2400mhz corsair LPX Gigabyte windforce gtx 760 Any help would greatly appreciated. 17. So my current set up is this: Dual Booting Windows 10 and Ubuntu 16.04 on GPT. I have grub install on the root of the HDD so grub is my primary bootloader. I created a ML VirtualBox so I can use MacPwn with Vaniulla El Capitan. I have tried all kinds of bootloader on both MBR and GPT USB drives. The results are as follows: 1. Clover Legacy - Nothing. When I boot the USB Flash Drive it shows a single blinking underscore for a split second then it proceeds to boot Ubuntu. 2. Clover UEFI - Stuck at the underscore. Nothing happens. 3. Chameleon - Same as Clover Legacy. Shows an underscore for a split second then boots straight to Ubuntu. I have installed Hackintosh up to Yosemite successfully on my Lenovo V470 years ago a couple of time but that was when I was still using MBR for my HDD. Please let me know what I can do do proceed with the installation.
  18. I have a GA-z97M-ds3h motherboard, a core i3 4360, GTX 950 and i have the realtek alc 887 audio codec on my mobo. I used CloverALC110 to get my Hack with sound. However, after sleep, I get no audio. I need to use CodecCommander to get my EAPD properly working on here. I did it back in Yosemite, but I sadly don't know how I did it again... Can someone teach how to properly build the CodecCommander kext? I'm running OS X El Capitan 10.11.5, Freshly installed. I can give any details if needed. I'm using the Classic Mac Pro 3,1 SMBIOs as well. I'm using Clover UEFI.

  21. This is a first post from me but I have been following the site for many years and thank you to everyone working on this project. I have had various builds up to now and I currently have a running 10.11.4. I have audio, Ethernet etc.. working from the various kexts, but I do have one problem. I recently bought a Gigabyte GT730 2Gb, I deleted the nvdisable and replaced with nvdrv=1 and the system boots. I have a DVI monitor and a HDTV, both function on bootup but without any acceleration on either the monitor or TV. I am not a new user, but would appreciate greatly if someone could carefully point where I should be looking now, do i need to edit the edid table? If I need to do something, please instead of saying read the xxxxx post (which I have been doing non stop for days and days) could someone give me the correct instructions. The machine was much faster using the Point of View GS 8400 512mb, as I understand this is supported natively hence the acceleration. Again, thank you to everyone who has made this project possible. 23. Hi. I have had a stable X99 build running for a year. Build with the help of rampagedev's guide. This has been a super-smooth build, performing well in the range of video editing, sound record, gaming, streaming, and day to day use. The only thing not working has been overclocking. Multiple reports online indicates that certain UD4 boards has a fault with turning anything related to overclock from Auto to Manual (you don't even have to change any values), causes a boot failure. Because of this I was about to RMA my board and go for a X99-A, but trying that just caused a lot of USB problems. I was relieved when Gigabyte released a new BIOS update: the F22h, focusing on overclock. This update indeed fixes the overclock issue, but creates a whole new set of issues. Kernel-panic, random reboots, and USB problems. Nothing else was changed. Most of the time boot just failed with kernel panic. At one time I got it to boot, but I experienced random reboots, the mac freezing when using some USB equipment such as the Elgato Game Capture HD60 and so on. Downgraded to the previous BIOS version and voila, everything working as before. Does anyone else with a UD4 experience these problems with the new update? I really want it to work so I can start overclocking, but I need a stable setup. What sort of logs do I need to provide in order for anyone to help me troubleshoot this problem? As a start I attached the config file, replacing the ROM, MLB, Board Serial Number, Serial Number and SmUUID with X's. All of these values have been extracted from a real mac Build: X99-UD4 5820K GTX 980ti 32GB Balistix 2400MHz OS: OS X 10.11.5 SMBIOS: MacPro 6.1 SSDT: SSDT from rampagedev's X99.dmg (change gfx0 to gfx1 to fix black screen) Kexts: ACPISensors AppleIntelE1000e CPUSensors FakeSMC GPUSensors LPCSensors NullCPUPowerManagement VoodooTSCSync Thank you! -Kristoffer config.plist.zip
  25. First my Old Threads is here http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/308178-el-capitan-wih-i7-6700-skylake-gigabyte-ga-z170-hd3-palit-jetstream-gtx960/ My Computer Specifications 1. Processor : Intel Core i7 6700 2. Motherboard : Gigabyte Z170-HD3 3. VGA Card : Palit Jetstream GTX960 4GB DDR5 4. Wifi Card ; TP-Link TL-WDN4800 5. PCI-E to Sata = Bafo PCI-e to 2 Sata3 and 2 e-Sata 6. PCI to USB 2.0 - NEC Chipset 7. Main Harddisk Harddisk : Fujitsu SSD 120GB + Seagate 500GB that plug into Bafo PCIe to Sata3 8. Other Harddisk : Natno SSD 12GB, 2x Seagate 2TB, Seagate 500GB, all of it are plug into onboard Sata Chipset Controller (But Unknow at El Capitan / 10th Intel Chipset) 9. RAM : Team 3000Mhz 8GB (2x4GB) 10. Display : Asus VN248H 11. Clover version : 3280 My Step : 1. Because Internal Sata Chipset and USB 3.0 are not supported yet, so i clone my Fujitsu 120GB SSD from my Hacbook Asus X455LA that already installed El Capitan Build 15B30a with Carbon Copy Cloner 2. I use MacPro 6.1 as SMBIOS and use FakeCPUIID of Intel 4790k (0x0306C3) 3. Remove CPUSensor.kext from "FakeSMC.kext/Contents/Plugins" if you don't do this it will be stuck at ACPI log verbose. 4. I try boot from USB that already install Clover 3280 and it boot. I use "-v nv_disable=1 dart=0" 5. Then at desktop, i install nvidia web driver 346.03.02F02 (before that you need to modif it,, use pkgutil --expand bla bla ba,, google it and change required os to "15B" then use pkgutl --flatten bla bla to repackage) then i change info plist from AppleGraphicsControl.kext/Contents/Plugin/AppleGraphicsDevicePolicy.kext/Contents/info.plist and change line that contain board-id of MacPro 6.1 from Config2 to none 6. Then i install that kext,, and restart 7. i use "-v dart=0 nvda_drv=1 and it will need more time than usual to get login form,, yeah i did it. But there is some bugs Bugs : 1. Internal sata is not function 2. USB 3.0 is error too,, at verbose i see "error mantisa log" 3. Sometimes my system get freeze for a few seconds. I thinks this is error from Nvidia web driver,, i see nvdia error log from "sudo dmesg" At last,, sorry for my bad english Thanks This is for screenshots I upload my IOREG and DSDT Andres’s MacBook Pro.rar DSDT.rar
