  5. I have an iMac 5K i7 4GHZ 8GB ram m295x 3TB Fusion drive. Installed El Capitan Public Beta and ran SunSpider Benchmark on it. My computer is MUCH faster than before when i was using Yosemite. The question is: Does this improvement shows on Hackintosh as well or only on the original supported Apple hardware? Does "Metal" speed improvement will be noticeable on any build? Here are the results of the Benchmark Before and After El Capitan upgrade using the same hardware. Any answer would be welcome! Thanx.

  7. Hi guys. Sometimes I am a complete noob, so I deleted two kexts from S/L/E and now my Asus Q200E laptop with OS X El Capitan boot hangs on kernel panic. I still can enter go through Clover to reach Recovery Mode and use Terminal, so I've put the two kexts on a USB pendrive and after some struggle I've managed to succefully copy them using Terminal, but the boot is still stuck on kernel panic. As I remember, these are the commands I've typed: mount -rw cp -a /Volumes/usb-stick/name.kext /Volumes/my-osx-drive/System/Library/Extensions Is there anything else I should do? Is anything wrong? Should I type some command else? For instance, should I type something to fix permissions and rebuild cache? Thanks a lot!
No demais só fica aparecendo no boot "Waiting for DSMOS", "DSMOS has arrived" e "hmm.. mismatch sizes 3100 vs 20". Este ultimo fiz de tudo e não resolveu. O DSMOS baixei a ultima versão do FakeSMC, até agora não deu problema no boot. De patches eu usei estes: SSDT: Gerada pelo script ssdtPRGen DSDT: SMBus Fix - HPET Fix - RTC Fix - IRQ Fix - LPC Haswell - Add MCHC/IMEI - Battery Pavilion n012tx - - Áudio Layout ID 3 - USB 8 series - USB3 (PRW0x06D) - Rename to EH01 - Replace names - Rename to HDAU/IGPU - Disable from REG (RP05) SSDT-3 : Cleanup/Fix - PNLF Haswell - Rename to HDAU/IGPU - - Graphics HD 4600 (Rename HD4400) SSDT-4 : Cleanup/Fix - Replace names - Rename to IGPU - Disable from INI (RP05) SSDT-5 : Replace names - Rename to IGPU SSDT-0-1-2-6-7-8: Rename to IGPU Estou deixando os relatórios do Darwin Dumper e config do clover. Agradeço a ajuda de tds. Notebook HP Pavilion 14 v066BR.zip
  9. EVGA SR-2 48 GB of RAM 2 x Intel® Xeon® CPU E5649 @ 2.53GHz Was working perfectly with Yosemite no DSDT using Clover. Upgraded to El Capitan no problems(had to completely remove SLE and copy over contents from freshly installed El Capitan and fix permissions to boot), but now El Capitan reports 24GB of RAM and 9 total RAM slots, 6 populated x 4GB and 3 empty. While troubleshooting, I rebooted back to the USB installer and under system info I also have 24GB of RAM. SMBIOS: Mac Pro 3,1 I attempted to changed SMBIOS but I get KP. While booting I noticed the following: mem_actual: 0x000000000 legacy_sane_size: 0xc0000000 RTC: Only single RAM bank (128 bytes) Currently have audio, usb 2.0 , gfx, firewire, bluetooth and nic working. Not working: USB 3, Incorrect RAM Any advice as to what to try would be greatly appreciated. I already tried to add memory slots in clover but I get a KP (could be doing something wrong if someone and comment on how to do it properly) I attached some screenshots for reference. Thanks guys, good luck to all with their upgrades!
  10. Dear Mac users, I'd like to talk about iMessage, El Capitan and Yosemite. I've been using Mac OS X on a Maximus V Gene motherboard with an i7-3770K processor for quite some time now. With the introduction of Yosemite I needed to figure out a way to make iMessage work as it included changes around the same time with validation of MLB and ROM values that were reported by the system and the NVRAM. Here's my basic setup: Chameleon boot loader (previously regular flavor, now ENOCH), drop the Chameleon.plist, insert SMBIOS.plist, FakeSMC, IntelE1000-Ethernet.kext and my systems is working. To enable iMessage I had to install the FileNVRAM.kext (1.1.4 package) and FileNVRAM.dylib (1.1.4 package) file onto the USB stick containing the chameleon boot loader. With this setup, I was able to boot Yosemite fine and get a working NVRAM. However, keep in mind that you have to create the /Extra folder on the hard drive of your OS X install and make it writable by anyone. Then the FileNVRAM.kext is able to create the nvram.1d34-12d4d1234-1d341234.plist ( ) which contains the data you have written. Whenever I needed to boot the system with -v -f or when doing software updates, I had to use a second Chameleon stick that did not include the FileNVRAM.kext and dylib files. (If booting with -v -f and FileNVRAM installed, the system would crash on caching the kexts) I would then boot the system, run kext utility or similar permissions-checking and kext-caching applications and reboot with the FileNVRAM-USB stick. This was my full working arrangement. Tedious, but worked excellent. Never had a problem with iMessage, FaceTime, iPhone Calls, AppStore, iTunes or iCloud. So far so good, but it was time to move to El Capitan. In El Capitan I encountered the problem that kexts cannot be passed through the Chameleon boot loader but have to be installed directly into /S/L/E and have to be cached by a running system (usually just boot the same SSD from a real Mac). This forced me into a predicament with the FileNVRAM.kext which had to be loaded through Chameleon as it wouldn't otherwise boot. So by trial and error I examined a problem with the FileNVRAM.kext on 10.11.3 which resulted in it not being loaded, no matter where you put it. Reason why? The Info.plist of the FileNVRAM.kext has the following code written in it: <key>OSBundleLibraries</key> <dict> <key>com.apple.iokit.IOStorageFamily</key> <string>1.0b1</string> <key>com.apple.kpi.bsd</key> <string>8.0b1</string> <key>com.apple.kpi.iokit</key> <string>7.0</string> <key>com.apple.kpi.libkern</key> <string>8.0d0</string> <key>com.apple.kpi.mach</key> <string>8.0d0</string> <key>com.apple.kpi.unsupported</key> <string>8.0b1</string> </dict> Not sure if you spotted the error yourself, but the IOStorageFamily version is too low for El Capitan. This OS X ships with 2.1 instead and the kext simply refuses to load. If you change this value in the Info.plist file, the kext is loadable. This is more of a dirty patch than a correct solution. So what happens next: I got my El Capitan working again with the same approach as above, but no FileNVRAM module or kext anywhere, neither Chameleon, nor OS X. When the system is booted up I would install the FileNVRAM.kext into /S/L/E, onto the /E/E on the Chameleon stick and in the /E/E folder on the hard drive. Same with the module, /E/E on both hard drive and chameleon stick. Now I would have to run kext utility again to precache the FileNVRAM.kext into the system and reboot. Sometimes it wouldn't boot up, sometimes it would "break" the system (fixable by dropping FileNVRAM from all instances and touching /S/L/E and running kextcache -u / from single-user mode or external system) - but most of the times it just works. NVRAM is capable of saving and creating the /Extra/nvram.xxxxxx.plist file and returning the required MLB/ROM values after being saved - even after reboot. Thus I have managed to get FileNVRAM.kext working by this trick in El Capitan. Despite this solution working for me and probably others, my hope is that there is someone capable of updating the FileNVRAM.kext file for El Capitan and its latest Xcode? The kext itself is still working, but the dependencies are off and thus causing the issues. Thank you and have fun! Florian P.S. Edit: Here's the files I used. (dylib and kext) http://uploaded.net/file/uc9c18wc(zip-file of the Extra folder)
  11. So im running yosemite (legit install not iatkos) when I had mavericks, I updated to yosemite from the mac updates and it worked without a problem Now im trying to update from yosemite to el capitan through the app store and the computer starts installing, then restarts, then boots back into yosemite and says there was a problem when restarting My computer build is motherboard psz77v-lx Processor intel core i5 3570k ghz ram 8 gigs corsair vengeance
  12. My build consisting of: Mobo GA-Z97-HD3 rev. 2.1, 3.5 GHz Intel Core i5 4690k, NVIDIA GeForce GT 640 2048 MB and 12 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 RAM, was a successful install of El Capitan (currently running 10.11.4) booting using clover. However, the computer is not shutting down at all. The round wheel appears as unusual and after a few seconds disappears similar to a real Mac, except that everything in the CPU tower remains on. Sometimes it restarts after a few seconds, but sometimes it doesn't and just remain turned on with nothing on the screen and no HDD activity. I turned on and off the computer with one USB device connected at a time and noticed that the problem could be related to connecting more than one USB3 device (external HDDs) at a time. Attached are my config.plist, the system log and the ioreg file for further review by anyone in this forum. I have tried many solutions that I've found in the web with no success. system.log.zip config.plist.zip Jorge’s iMac.ioreg.zip

  14. Hi I've managed to install OSX El Capitan on my Dell XPS 8000 using lots of tutorials and forums on here so I really appreciate the effort everyone has put into making this resource available. 3 main issues with my hackintosh 1.Audio does not work - I've been recommended to try the ALC887 (non legacy or legacy??) audio driver using the recommended post installer - I guess I have to disable SMC to get this to work. 2. SATA dvd rw and SATA hdd do not appear once in OSX. I need to add an AHCIPort Injector.kext with possible ICH8 dev id to the clover boot loader? but which one? 3. Is the icloud/facetime/appstore/update download for Sierra log in thing an issue on hackintosh? Everytime I set a generated config.plst file with created details from my system it breaks the clover bootloader so I have given up. I'm happy to assist how I managed to get my Dell XPS 8000 to work as far as I have if anyone needs a hand doing so. Thanks in advanced. S

  16. I think it's not related to gpu driver, I can play quake3 with no lag, but colors are distorted everywhere. VNC colors are normal. Just take a look at the photo, do you know what can cause this? My installation steps: 1. 2. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/file/521-usb-fix-for-el-capitan/ 3. Enoch boot options: -v -f GraphicsEnabler=Yes AtiConfig=Shrike (or Labrador works as well) npci=0x2000 Also tried creating a /System/Library/Displays/Contents/Resources/Overrides/DisplayVendorID-4ca3/DisplayProductID-4542 with someone's else edid with same result.
  17. Hello i send you this message because my front jack port is not detected by El Capitan. Indeed on my mb MSI z97a Gaming 9 ack i know that under Windows 10 there is a drivers from C-Media that transform for a better sound the front jack port into a USB port. So when i plug my headphones in the front jack port, the system says that the headphones is connected on a USB ports. But under El Capitan, the system does not detect the front jack port, and sometimes he detected the front jack port as a USB port named "Headphones", he works and when i go to the specs, i can see that manufacturer of the USB port is C-Media. I have tried to uninstall the driver El Capitan AND Windows does not detect the front jack port. So if some one can help me...

  22. Hi, first of all, my system build is: CPU: i5-6600K overclocked to 4.4 GHz Motherboard: MSI Z170 Gaming Pro GPU: AMD R9 390 8GB SSD: Sandisk Z400 (Windows 10) HDD: WD Caviar Blue 1 TB (Linux partition + movies, data etc.) I can get another SSD for OS X if I have to. Would it be possible for me to go ahead and try El Capitan out on my computer? I've looked through the forum but there's a LOT of information to process, so if someone can let me know what the current status is like on similar configurations and where to look for a start guide, it would be very helpful. Thank you!
  23. Hi, I have a new 2016 iMac 5k 27", so it's got a fresh install of El Capitan. I have a fusion drive with 128GB flash and another standard hard drive. I'm trying to use Boot Camp to install Windows 10. I have a Windows install USB, which Boot Camp detects and accepts, but every time it goes to format the hard drive for the windows install, it fails. This error is shown. This happens when trying to format either hard drive, the SSD or the HDD. Your disk could not be partitioned. An error occurred while partitioning the disk. I have tried all the online help about repairing the disk using Disk Utility and doing /sbin/fsck -fy in single user mode, but it makes no difference. The disk is not damaged, it's brand new! NB: the error occurs only a few seconds into the disk formatting progress. The only thing that I've changed on my iMac is that I've split my fusion drive into two individual hard drives (the SSD and the standard HDD) using these steps. This might be the cause of the issue, but it might not have any effect, I don't know. Even if it is causing it, there must be a work around -- I want to be able to control what I put on each hard drive myself. Is there a work around for this? iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015), OS X El Capitan (10.11.3)
  24. Hi guys, I have a HP Probook 4540s with an i5 3380M CPU, 8gb RAM and a 250GB SSD. I have booted to the installer and installed El Capitan to the SSD but after a restart I boot once again via the USB but this time hoping to boot my fresh install from the SSD but it is not there. The UEFI clover boot loader is only showing my USB boot stick and not the SSD with the install of El Capitan on. The SSD was erased and formatted, journaled and GUID. I have made hack's before but never had this issue after installing OS X Any ideas on this please ?
  25. Hi, I have built my Hackintosh on 2012 succesfully with MountainLion 10.8.6 I used two monitors with GTX-650 ti ( HDMI & DVI ) with no problem. Now with the same Hackintosh I moved to El Capitan 10.11.6 ( Clean Install / Clover ) The install and Post Instalation went OK , but when I restart and tried to boot I got REBOOT LOOPS all the time, It was very frustrating.. After a lot research and trial & error , I finally got it work ( No reboot Loops anymore ) by Enabling Nvidia Eject ( something like Graphics Enabler=YES) I finally managed to boot normaly to El Capitan. BUT now, I cannot use both monitors. The only port that works now is the DVI port . I have also downloadd latest CUDA ( not web drivers ) but with no luck . If I remove the EjectNvidia option I know that both monitors gonna work , but then Im gonna have reboot loops again ! Is there any other alternative solution to make both monitors work ? Is it possible to solve it with a DSDT patch ? Mobo:Z77X-UD5H CPU:Intel Core i7-3770K Graphics:GeForce GTX 650 Ti
