  1. Hey guys, so here's my problem. I open MaciASL, compile the DSDT, fix the errors and everything goes well. Now I want to add my DTGP method as I want to edit it, so I add the "Insert DGPT" patch and nothing happens. I can't find the "IGPU" folder. Would somebody help me? It would be really appreciated. I'm gonna attach my DSDT.dsl previously generated with Clover Bootloader (by pressing F4). DSDT.dsl If someone can add the DTGP for me I would be so happy because I simply can't do it, and I don't know why. Thanks in advance. Best regards.

Grazie in anticipo CLOVER + DSDT.zip
  3. This is my installation guide for OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion. I will try to improve my guide all the time. If anyone has a suggestion, I will add it. Warning: I'm not responsible for any damage or problems to your system, lost of data and any other issues. Be sure to have a backup of important parts of your system! (BIOS-rom(s), drivers, files, etc.) I have tested most HW-parts on temperatures, (fault/warning) messages, etc. and believed this setup is safe to use. However their could be parts on your setup that don't work (properly) for you. Last Updated: 20/06/2013 My system specs: ASUS P8H67-M Pro (Rev 3.0/B3) motherboard (BIOS 3806) Intel i5-2400 @ 2.4Ghz (stock) Kingston DDR3-1333 RAM 8GB Samsung 830 SSD EVGA GeForce 450 GTS (1GB) 1TB HDD Samsung HD103SJ Working Status: OS X ML 10.8.4 UEFI-mode Audio: Working (AppleHDA) Ethernet: Working Speedstep: Working USB (2.0): Working EVGA GeForce 450 GTS: Working, using latest NV Drivers USB 3.0: Not working - There are solutions (see post below) available but yet tested myself. Remember you will need to use the latest available OS X ML install media, otherwise you will not able to boot without using the safe mode (-x). Creating a bootable Clover (UEFI) USB-stick 1. Download the latest Clover zip 2. Open Disk Utility and plugin the USB-sick that you want to use for Clover. 3. Format the USB-stick as follow: 4. Exit Disk Utility 5. Unzip Clover_v*.zip and run the Clover_v*.pkg file 6. Choose Clover USB-stick as Installation Target and select the following Installation options: 7. Open the created Clover USB-stick 8. Delete the files BOOTIA32.efi & CLOVERIA32.efi inside the BOOT and CLOVER directories. 9. Replace config.plist with the following content (it will enable TRIM-support): <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>SystemParameters</key> <dict> <key>prev-lang:kbd</key> <string>en:0</string> <key>LegacyBoot</key> <string>PBR</string> <key>boot-args</key> <string>-v -x npci=0x2000 slide=0 darkwake=0 WithKexts</string> <key>InjectSystemID</key> <true/> </dict> <key>SMBIOS</key> <dict> <key>ProductName</key> <string>MacPro3,1</string> </dict> <key>KernelAndKextPatches</key> <array> <string>AsusAICPUPM</string> <true/> <string>AppleRTC</string> <true/> <string>KextsToPatch</string> <dict> <key>0</key> <dict> <key>Find</key> <data>QVBQTEUgU1NE</data> <key>Name</key> <string>IOAHCIBlockStorage</string> <key>Replace</key> <data>AAAAAAAAAAAA</data> </dict> </dict> </array> <key>GUI</key> <dict> <key>Theme</key> <string>metal</string> <key>Mouse</key> <dict> <key>Enabled</key> <false/> </dict> </dict> <key>RtVariables</key> <dict> <key>LogEveryBoot</key> <false/> </dict> <key>Graphics</key> <dict> <key>PatchVBios</key> <true/> <key>GraphicsInjector</key> <true/> </dict> <key>PCI</key> <dict> <key>HDAInjection</key> <string>Detect</string> <key>USBInjection</key> <true/> <key>InjectClockID</key> <true/> <key>USBFixOwnership</key> <true/> <key>LpcTune</key> <true/> </dict> <key>ACPI</key> <dict> <key>ResetValue</key> <string>0x06</string> <key>EnableC4</key> <true/> <key>EnableC6</key> <true/> <key>GeneratePStates</key> <false/> <key>C3Latency</key> <string>0x3E7</string> <key>EnableISS</key> <true/> <key>DropDMAR</key> <true/> <key>DropBGRT</key> <true/> <key>EnableC2</key> <true/> <key>DsdtName</key> <string>DSDT.aml</string> <key>PluginType</key> <string>0</string> <key>ResetAddress</key> <string>0xCF9</string> <key>PLimitDict</key> <string>0</string> <key>UnderVoltStep</key> <string>0</string> <key>DoubleFirstState</key> <false/> <key>DropOemSSDT</key> <true/> <key>GenerateCStates</key> <false/> </dict> </dict> </plist> 10. Place the kext FakeSMC.kext (From HWSensors) and NullCPUPowerManagement.kext inside the Clover USB kexts/10.8 folder. You have now created a bootable Clover (UEFI) USB! OS X Installation BIOS Settings: - Disabled USB 3.0 Controller (also legacy-mode) - Disabled PATA/Serial/LPT-ports - Disabled EPU Power Saving - Enable (no auto!) all available CPU State Reporting (C1E, C3, C6, etc.) 1. Boot in the target system with both the OS X Installation Media and the Clover USB-stick plugged, hit F8-key for BIOS-Menu, choose UEFI: *Clover USB Drive Name* Select Mac OS X Base System (or whatever you could your OS X Installation medium) and hit Enter. Your system should be booted in a few minutes and show you the Installation Welcome screen. Select your language and open up Disk Utility. Select the target drive, click Partition-tab and select GPT-schema under Options. Make one or more partitions (what your desire) and click on Apply. Exit Disk Utility and follow the rest of the OS X Installation. After installation, try to boot the new created OS X-partition with the Clover-USB. If this all worked, congratulations! You just installed OS X! OS X Extra's DSDT It is recommended to create your own DSDT.aml file. There are two ways to get your DSDT: Inside OS X or with a Live (Ubuntu) Linux Installation USB-stick (recommended). See the following howto for Ubuntu (It's recommended to also boot the USB in UEFI-mode). When you have your DSDT.dsl file open it inside OS X with DSDT Editor. Apply Fix.txt (Menu > Patch > Open), choose IASL and click on Compile. To fix the following warnings: ResourceTag Larger than Field (Tag: 64 bits, Field 32 bits), change CreateDWordField to CreateQWordField in that line. Not all control paths return a value (_HID): Method (_HID, 0, NotSerialized) // _HID: Hardware ID { If (TCMF) {} Else { Return (0x0201D824) } } Return (Zero) // add this Compile again and save the generated DSDT-file as DSDT.aml on your desktop (IASL > Save AML As) Note: I added my latest patched DSDT.dsl that includes many other fixes like nVidia injection (No more GE=Yes), RTC fix, ALC892 (HDEF) edit, etc. Patch IntelCPUPM There are two ways to get AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement to work (needed for speedstep). One way is to patch it with this script or by patching your BIOS. Clover includes already a patch for AppleCPUPM, so if you are going to use Clover as your default bootloader this should not be needed anymore. I have patched my BIOS so I never have to worry about IntelCPUPM. Please keep in mind patching is risky, so please be warned! HWSensors (FakeSMC) Run HWSensors.pkg and install it on the OS X Installation drive. You can select all plugins btw. Realtek (Ethernet) See instructions here Clover Bootloader If everything is working, you can install Clover as your default bootloader. Just run the Clover setup again, select the OS X partition and the following Installation Options: - To install Clover as bootable-option (needed for ASUS-boards) format an USB-stick inside Windows with a FAT32-filesystem - Download this Shell.efi file and place it into the root of the USB-stick as Shellx64.efi - Reboot your system, and enter the BIOS-settings screen - Go to Advanced Settings > Exit > Launch EFI-shell from filesystem - The EFI-shell should now automatically load. - Run the following commands from the EFI-shell (# ... # are just comments): > map fs* #choose the correct disk where OS X is installed# > fs1: #for me it's fs1# > cd \EFI\CLOVER #change to the \EFI\CLOVER directory on the EFI-partition, if you can't cd, you have the wrong fs*:# > bcfg boot dump #list current boot-menu settings# > bcfg boot add 0 CLOVERX64.efi "OS X" #add Clover as a boot-option# > bcfg boot dump #list the changed made to the boot settings# > reset #restart system# That's it, you can now boot into Clover by selecting OS X in the BIOS-menu without the USB-stick. I recommend to change config.plist on the EFI-partition, these are my (working) settings: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>KernelAndKextPatches</key> <dict> <key>Debug</key> <false/> <key>KernelCpu</key> <false/> <key>AsusAICPUPM</key> <true/> <key>AppleRTC</key> <true/> <key>KextsToPatch</key> <array> <dict> <key>Name</key> <string>AppleAHCIPort</string> <key>Comment</key> <string>External icons patch</string> <key>Find</key> <data>RXh0ZXJuYWw=</data> <key>Replace</key> <data>SW50ZXJuYWw=</data> </dict> <dict> <key>Name</key> <string>AppleTyMCEDriver</string> <key>Comment</key> <string>AppleTyMCEDriver patch</string> <key>Find</key> <data>cgoATWFjUHJvNCwxAE1hY1BybzUsMQBY</data> <key>Replace</key> <data>cgoAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAABY</data> </dict> <dict> <key>Name</key> <string>IOAHCIBlockStorage</string> <key>Comment</key> <string>TRIM enable patch</string> <key>Find</key> <data>QVBQTEUgU1NE</data> <key>Replace</key> <data>AAAAAAAAAAAA</data> </dict> </array> </dict> <key>ACPI</key> <dict> <key>DsdtName</key> <string>DSDT.aml</string> <key>DropOemSSDT</key> <true/> <key>GenerateCStates</key> <true/> <key>GeneratePStates</key> <true/> <key>DropAPIC</key> <false/> <key>DropMCFG</key> <true/> <key>DropHPET</key> <false/> <key>DropECDT</key> <false/> <key>DropDMAR</key> <true/> <key>DropBGRT</key> <true/> <key>ResetAddress</key> <string>0xCF9</string> <key>ResetValue</key> <string>0x06</string> </dict> <key>SMBIOS</key> <dict> <key>ProductName</key> <string>MacPro4,1</string> </dict> <key>RtVariables</key> <dict> <key>MountEFI</key> <true/> <key>LogLineCount</key> <integer>3000</integer> <key>LogEveryBoot</key> <false/> </dict> <key>GUI</key> <dict> <key>Theme</key> <string>bluemac</string> <key>Timeout</key> <integer>2</integer> <key>DefaultBootVolume</key> <string>Macintosh HD</string> <key>DebugLog</key> <false/> <key>Mouse</key> <dict> <key>Enabled</key> <false/> <key>Speed</key> <integer>0</integer> </dict> <key>Volumes</key> <dict> <key>Legacy</key> <false/> </dict> <key>HideEntries</key> <dict> <key>OSXInstall</key> <false/> <key>Recovery</key> <false/> <key>Duplicate</key> <false/> <key>WindowsEFI</key> <false/> <key>Grub</key> <false/> <key>Gentoo</key> <false/> <key>Ubuntu</key> <false/> <key>OpticalUEFI</key> <false/> <key>InternalUEFI</key> <true/> <key>ExternalUEFI</key> <false/> </dict> </dict> <key>PCI</key> <dict> <key>LpcTune</key> <true/> <key>HDAInjection</key> <string>892</string> <key>USBInjection</key> <true/> <key>InjectClockID</key> <true/> <key>USBFixOwnership</key> <true/> </dict> <key>SystemParameters</key> <dict> <key>boot-args</key> <string>-v npci=0x2000 slide=0 nvda_drv=1 WithKexts</string> <key>prev-lang:kbd</key> <string>nl:0</string> <key>InjectSystemID</key> <true/> <key>LegacyBoot</key> <string>PBR</string> </dict> <key>Graphics</key> <dict> <key>GraphicsInjector</key> <false/> <key>PatchVBios</key> <true/> </dict> </dict> </plist> Fix_beta990.txt DSDT.dsl.zip config.plist.zip AppleHDA.kext.zip
  4. I did in my dsdt application of the RehabMan patch for brightness correction in AppleBacklight.kext but what happens and the brightness works but my internal screen of the laptop stays with the image with a transparent white background barely can see the image, but I do the shine and it works and it's just a problem in the image, I do not know why this happens, thanks. 5. Say I have TWO .aml files in EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched -- dsdt1.aml and dsdt2.aml. I want to compare how they affect my machine. Now, I wanted to try NOT loading either of them. So in config.plist I set 'DSDT Name' set to null, i.e., there is no value. But checking bdmesg it shows Inserting dsdt1.aml from EFI\CLOVER\ACPI\patched ... Success Inserting dsdt2.aml from EFI\CLOVER\ACPI\patched ... Success Does "Inserting" mean they were loaded? Or just recognized? Did BOTH of them get loaded? Do they have to be called DSDT or is that arbitary? Do I need to actually remove them from ACPI/patched in order to NOT load them? I'd like to be able to choose a DSDT, or none, from within Clover at boot. I'm hesitant to remove them because if one option prevents me from booting MacOS, then I'm SOL because putting it back will be a PITA. Can I put them in a different folder and still load one from Clover options? Thanks!

    Need DSDT for Lenovo B50-70

Hi, I am trying the following procedure to install Snow Leopard on my new Lenovo B50-70 from a RHEL version of Linux already installed in one partition ... this is just what I need as described in the following post ... I have got it all going except that the OSx that I have put into a HFS+ partition on the drive0 will not boot up, or not seen as a boot partition by the bios. Any suggestions as to why this might fail ... I am guessing that I need to change the DSDT ... if so does anyone have a Lenovo B50-70 DSTD that you are willing to share ??? Linux install process from here -- http://linuxforums.org.uk/index.php?topic=1072.0 Also where is the DSDT located in the Osx distribution that I can switch ??? Cheers !

  8. hello forum friends, receive a cordial greeting, write them in order to request his help regarding the installation of mac os on my laptop samsung maverick np3004ez i5 2540M processor with intel sandy bridge, intel motherboard chipset HM65, etehernet realtek RLT81111 , intel wifi n sallow-130, HD3000 integrated graphics, intel hd audio, hitachi 750gb hard drive. well I tell you, after several failed attempts to achieve successfully install maverick method myhack in MBR partition, mac only (no dual boot), I managed to NullCpupowermagement.kext and graphics acceleration ... fakeSMC.kext achieve perfect audio and video , everything was going great until you reinstall the new version of HWsensor, everything went downhill, so I decided to start over, but now have the problem boot0 and can not find a way to repair it, I was not before but after that error if reinstalling it, I've tried various methods but I failed, I can only enter if I place a bootable dvd or usb boot. the other problem where I require your help is to collaborate me with editing my DSDT, not having to use NullcpuPowerManagement or patch AICPMpatch, likewise, want to enable or guide me to activate the native rest of my laptop or show me how to check if you are working or not. I got another problem after the second installation was the audio, the first time worked great, gave me a horrible second beep every loa speakers. without requiring any extra information or upload a file dsdt etc, I will be attentive to your responses. thank you very much for your attention, fraternal greetings from Venezuela.
  9. I just extracted my ACPI tables using clover. Disassembled it, using iASL via terminal. 10. Hello. I've just installed OS X 10.11.3 El Capitan on my Dell Inspiron 15 5000 series laptop. I extracted the DSDT using Clover twice and both gave me the same compilation error. I have provided the second attempt at extracting the DSDT in this post. I have tried using MaciASL on my functional Yosemite hackintosh and the laptop itself. In all MaciASLs I've been using ACPI 5.0 and got the following errors: ERRORS 11851, 6126, syntax error, unexpected '}' 21545, 6126, syntax error, unexpected $end and premature End-Of-File RehabMan's laptop patch repository does not have fixes for these patches, and I've tried messing about with the lines and stuff but I have little DSDT editing experience and really didn't know what I was doing. No patches have been applied to the files provided. If I could be told how to fix these issues, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. DSDT.zip
  11. Greetings to all members and viewers! I am a newbie, and completely new to the concept of mac on intel pc. However, I did have sort of a head start. Today, I succeeded in installing Snow Leopard on my PC using the ######+###### method. But well, wasn't perfect. 1. No ethernet, audio, mouse driver-tried all kexts in the ###### install 2. No wireless at all. well, that's very far I suppose I've read a little and there is a very generous guy called Maldon here, who provides a custom .dsdt file on sincere requests to keep people going. Well, I'm patient and determined to get this thing to work. Here are my specs: Lenovo Ideapad Z560. Processor: Intel Core i5-450M 4GB RAM I can't figure out what other information you will need. I somehow can't find the exact model of my motherboard. Every software says it's Lenovo Base Board. Thank you all!
  12. Hello, i wonder if anyone could shine some light, bit in the dark on this one. got a p67a-gd55 b3 from MSI, tried to patch the DSDT.aml file to get things working in Lion 10.7.3... but still got a few things i can't seem to get around... all my HDDs and SSDs show up as orange usb external drives, and my SSDs show "Medium Type: Rotational" in the System Profiler. if use AHCIInjector they show up as Silver SATA drives, but the SSDs still give me "Medium Type: Rotational" TRIM Enabler does not work. can't even detect SSD. can anybody help me out with this?

    Lenovo Thinkpad W520

Hey guys. I've been hackintoshing for a while, but I don't think I've posted. I'm usually able to figure things out on my own with the help of this forum and others, but this time I'm completely stumped as to how to fix my issue. My thinkpad has everything working great. Brightness control, sound, QE, trackpad, trackpoint, battery, wifi, etc. Except it's slow. I have an i7 2670qm in this particular laptop. I know that speedstop isn't working correctly. If I use nullcpu I get 800mhz. If I use an ssdt with a patched appleintelcpupowermanagement the laptop will boot to the desktop just fine, but after just a couple of minutes it hangs and I have to hold the power button down to turn it off. If there are any more details that you need I can get them to you. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
  14. Hello people, I am quite new to all the Hackintosh stuff, I managed to get my laptop nicely working except one thing, the sound card which is an ALC269, ATM i use VoodooHDA just to get some sound but it stutters and the solution to the stutter is just a pure cpu hog (good old yes > /dev/null) I saved my DSDT using AIDA64 but it generates a lot of errors on compiling even without any modifications. I would be really happy if someone here could clean up the DSDT for me so I can apply the HDEF patch. Here is the DSDT attached. Thanks in advance, WhistlR dsdt.aml.zip

VALEU.

Asus U50Vg Post Install - Help

Hello For the first time I got OS X to run (almost) perfectly on the Asus U50Vg. I even think I am the first one on the internet with os x running on this laptop. So here it goes: What works: Audio (Headphone Jack, Internal Speakers, Internal Microphone) Camera Ethernet Wi-Fi Bluetooth Card Reader Geforce G105m (Full QE/CI) Keyboard (FN Keys) Touchpad *Sleep Native Power Management What doesn't : Wake (Screen won't turn on) Already tried with darkwake=0, removing NullCPUPowerManagement, patching AppleRTC, and that sort of stuff. I would really appreciate if someone could help with the wake problem, and check if my DSDT needs some fixes to help me with the wake issue and to get a more vanilla install. I will attach my dsdt, smbios, boot.plist, and ioreg. Thanks Sorry if there is any mistake, english isn't my native language. Asus U50 DSDT.zip
  17. Hello all, I'm having some trouble trying to get sleep working on my laptop. The symptoms are as if there is no power management; upon attempting to sleep, the display will turn off but the laptop otherwise remains on. I have everything else working, including power management/speed stepping so I suspect its just DSDT issues from here (or I'm just forgetting something really key...). 18. Any ideas on what is causing this? I have not had this sleep wake issue except with 10.13.x but then all previous builds I turned PM off. Any Help would be greatly appreciated!!! Autosleep won't work!

Hi, folks! Since i started using a three-graphics-card setup (two discrete GeForces and the Intel HD4000 as primary card) i cannot make this feature to work, despite it's been previously working when using only the GeForce 9800 GT (connected via DVI). I thought things would normalize after i enabled proper Ivy Bridge Power management with a custom SSDT generated by Pike's script, but it's not happening. OSX 10.8.3 installed, i5 3570K CPU and H77-DS3H motherboard. Custom DSDT for native USB 3.0, HDMI audio and the three-graphics-card setup. Both Clover UEFI and Chameleon 2.2 installed. The funniest thing is that automatic sleep works flawlessly with my AMD rig with a common 32-bit SleepEnabler.kext (but that machine runs 10.7.5). Any help or directions to an actual solution (not a workaround like PleaseSleep.app, which would only mask a possible setup error, and it's not working anyway) would be much appreciated. All the best!
  20. Hi there guys, I've got a relatively stable install of OS X Mavericks 10.9.1 running on my Lenovo Thinkpad T410s Model 2904, running with a patched 1.50 BIOS to work-around the wifi whitelisting, an Intel Core i5 560 M 2.66 GHz vPro, 8GB DDR 1333 MHz RAM, Intel HD GMA 5700MHD, and an older Apple Airport Mini-PCI card running with the system. For the most-part everything is working great after a lot of toying around with myHack and kexts from both here and here however I am running into issues with the three following items on my hackintosh: The Internal Webcam / Microphone do not register with the system at all, and show up nowhere in the System Report Sleeping and Waking on the lid of the unit opening and closing does not register with the system at all, however putting the unit into sleep manually does In order to hopefully give you some more insight on my situation I've attached my current DSDT and my current kexts inside of my Extras folder on the root of my OS X install. A quick side-note, the system is registering an internal microphone under the audio tab of System Report, but, however shows no signs of functioning at all when attempting to be put to use. I'll gladly provide any other information from my system as needed to best get things sorted out, just let me know what you'd need from me. Thanks so much in advance guys, I'm really optimistic I can get some help and put these two issues to rest and get my system 100% functioning with OS X. DSDT.aml.zip Extensions.zip

    Mac 10.13.1 DSDT help needed

I have an HP Elitebook 8460P running High Sierra 10.13.1 I'm trying to get battery status working and if I'm understanding it right I need to patch my DSDT.aml to get it working. I have attempted this and can't seem to get it to compile, always an error. Also i have managed to brick the system a few times attempting edits. I cant seem to figure it out I need to patch the DSDT to get battery status working even before patching, if attempting a compile with MaciASL I have 2 errors. Im fairly new to getting Mac running on Intel Based PCs. any help would be greatly appreciated. Attached is my DSDT.aml file pulled from: EFI/Clover/ACPI/origin/DSDT.aml generated by using clover bootloader help menu, via the F4 option. I used MaciASL to attempt the edits. using battery patches from here: https://github.com/RehabMan/Laptop-DSDT-Patch Is it possible for someone to patch the file for me, or is it something i have to do? As i said im fairly new to mac and would like to get this working DSDT.zip
  24. Hey, i've recently tried to setup an Hackintosh on a friend's computer. It's a desktop Dell Vostro 460 with a core I7 inside. Ran the "run_me.zip" program. Any idea what dsdt I could/use to make this work? Main issue atm is no network. Thanks a lot! send_me.zip
